Sleek Makeup Bare Skin Foundation Review

Hello my beauties I hope you are all well :)
Today I am reviewing the Sleek Makeup Bare Skin Foundation in which I have been wanting to try for some time.
Its actually by chance I got to try this foundation.  In May I went on holidays with my kiddies down the country and thought I had all packed in my bag only to realise I had all my makeup apart from my go to foundation :)  I know I know total shock but when you are packing for 5 children and yourself you will end up forgetting something :)
So When we arrived to our destination I went foundation hunting only to find no where around was selling my go to foundation so I took the opportunity to try a foundation i never tried before and as you can see i picked this one :)

Now to be honest depending on where you buy this foundation from you are not going to have much of a selection of shades to choose from.  I was only able to choose from 5 shade from where i purchased mine but on the boots website you have 12 shades to choose from.

Sleek state:  Bare Skin Foundation's unique light foundation gives skin a barely-there no-makeup feel, whilst delivering a beautifully even and natural, flawless finish.
The innovative, moisturising formula also assists in evening out skin tone, whilst concealing blemishes and imperfections.
This superlight base feels weightless, allowing skin to breathe.
Each foundation costs about €11.99 for a 30ml bottle which is quite reasonable for the amount you are getting :)
The shade I chose was shell because to be honest I am quite pale even in the summer this year due to me staying in from the sun (exposing your skin while pregnant to hot summer weather is more dangerous as your skin is more sensitive)
Shell isn't the lightest shade available its the 2nd lightest.  White rose is the lightest but it has a pink undertone to it so it would not suit my skin tone.  Shell has more of a neutral undertone so its perfect for anyone who naturally tans in the sun :)
The foundation itself comes in a glass bottle with a pump which I do personally like as its more hygenic.  The pump gives just the right amount of foundation without giving you too much.  You can also twist off the lid so when you start to run out you can scrap out whatever is left in the bottle :)  making the most out of your money

When I first pumped a drop on my hand I found the foundation seemed thick in consistency which is not a bad thing but I was a sceptic due to the fact that it does say on the packaging that this is lightweight.  Spreading it on my arm was a different story as it felt more light weight and just from this single pump it spread alot

Applying this foundation to my face was also a breeze.  It feels very lightweight on my skin. So lightweight that I did not find alot of difference in my skin after one layer.  The coverage was near none existent to be honest and I found that it barely covered what I wanted to cover which was mostly pigmentation.  I didn't expect full coverage as I do not wear full coverage foundation but what I did expect was a little more cover up.
So I applied another layer and it did build up a little to more of a light to slight medium coverage on my face.  I could see some of my pigmentation peeping through but felt satisfied with the coverage as i was just wearing it during the day.  Here is a picture of before and after two layers :)

To me the coverage is like a BB Cream.
I also found that throughout the day say about 4 hours after wearing this foundation it looked like it was wearing off my skin.  I felt like I wasn't wearing any foundation at all and it seemed to look patchy even after me setting it.
I really hated that.
I have tried everything to make this foundation work for me from applying primer to applying 3 layers to mixing it with another foundation and even though it does work with a different foundation its defeating the purpose really !!!! Why go buying a foundation to mix with another foundation .
It really is not all that bad though if you are starting to wear foundation or have not got many complains skin wise this would work for you as its more like a BB Cream than a foundation but if you are looking for more than that I would recommend giving this a miss :)

I really hope you enjoyed this review.  Let me know if you have tried this foundation yet and what your thoughts are :)
Until next time

W7 HD Foundation Review

Hello My beauties I hope you are all well and not missing me too much ;) hehe
I will be back full time after tomorrow as I will finally have my new laptop back I cant frigging wait :) :)
So today I bring to you a new foundation I have been trying out and its Called the W7 HD Foundation.  These bottles of foundation literally cost me €4 each and to be honest I was very sceptic about them.  I usually am when it comes to the more cheaper side of foundations.  I have never tried anything from W7 before and now that its available in my local pharmacy, I decided to put my doubts aside and try them out :)
First of all let me share with you a little about the company and what they promise us :)
W7 Make Up, the inspiration of two entrepreneurial young men from West London was created in 2002. Their aim – that every woman should have access to an extensive range of high quality cosmetics at an affordable price – is now well on the way to becoming a reality. The company has grown year on year and now W7 boasts a collection of over 500 products including: nail polish, lipsticks and glosses, eye shadows and more mascaras than you could dream off.
So I have purchased a few different items from this range but couldn't wait to try out the foundation first.  What I did notice first of all is that there is only 5 shades to choose from which can be a pain when trying to match up to your skin tone and judging by the bottles these are all either neutral or yellow toned shades.  I ended up choosing 2 shades just to be sure
The shades available is Buff which is the lightest shade available and to be honest will actually suit someone with a very pale complexion as it looks very light in the bottle.  Then we have Natural Beige & Natural Tan which is the shades I chose.  Next there is Sand Beige which doesn't look too far off Natural Tan in the bottle only a tiny bit darker and lastly there is True Beige which is the last and most darkest shade.
The foundation comes in a glass bottle much like the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation etc.  It also comes with a Pump dispenser which I always like to see for hygiene purposes.  But what I love more about this is that the pump unscrews open unlike the bourjois healthy mix so you can scoop out whatever product is left when your done.
The shades are both off for me to be honest but I think I would get away with using the Natural Beige more in the winter.  I thought at first it was near perfect until I applied it to my face and found it was alot lighter than I am now.  Thanks to the great weather we have been having I have that to blame but come winter it will be a good match.  Plus I can warm it up using a bronzer.  The finish you get from this is more a a neutral finish.    Natural Tan is alot darker than my skin tone and I also found it to be a little on the orange side.
You can mix both shades to made another shade win which i have done in my photo below and came up with a shade suitable for me to wear right now.  I used two pumps of the Natural Beige and a pump of the Natural tan The first swatch below is the finish shade
So There isnt really any promises made about this foundation but judging by whats said on the bottle is that you are going to get 12 hours wear from this plus a flawless finish.
Do We get that ?
My first impressions when swatching this foundation was that I was going to get at least a medium coverage finish from this due to how thick in consistency it is.  Then when I applied it I found a total different view of it.  I applied this with my Blank Canvas Cosmetics F20 brush in which I use most of the time with liquid foundations.  I found it applied evenly and easily.  The finish of course is light which I was surprised with.  When I applied another layer there was in fact a little more coverage but only reached light to medium coverage.  What I mean by that is I could still visibly see the pigmentation on my face which normally a medium coverage foundation would cover up and also I could see my freckles clearly.
I actually really like the finish of this foundation as it gives a semi matte finish.  My cheeks were glowing yet I didnt look oily.  Lasting power is not as long as it says on the bottle for sure because even after setting this with a translucent powder I found it started to wear off in places after about 5 to 6 hours of wear.  Another thing I noticed as I have normal to combination skin (sometimes suffering with an oily t zone)  is that I looked very shiny on my t zone after about 6 hours so word of advice bring powder with you while wearing this.  Here is a before and after picture of me wearing the foundation :)
Overall I think this foundation is best suited for people who have normal to combination skin anyone who is oily I feel this will only make you look too shiny.  I found for the first time in a long time a foundation this affordable has actually impressed me.  I mean yes It doesn't last as long as it says it does but with a little touch up you could actually get a 12 hour wear out of this.  Obviously I had to add extra coverage under my eyes and to cover up my pigmentation with concealer but if you do not have much to cover this is a perfect everyday foundation for you.  This would more or less put you in mind of a bb cream or tinted moisturiser only with a little more coverage.
I really hope you enjoyed this review and if you have any questions on this post them below :)  If you are interested in trying this foundation out and dont know where to purchase it dont worry I have you covered :)  W7 website has a list of places where you can purchase their products from.  Here is another site who sell W7:  Cara Pharmacy Website

Makeup Revolution Ultra Base BB Cream Foundation

Hello my beauties I hope you are all well
This is one of Makeup Revolutions recent releases and I just had to try them out.  What I liked about picking these is that there is 11 shades to choose from.  There is also different undertones suitable for everyone.  You can choose from yellow toned to pink toned to mid toned which is brilliant.  I opted for 03 which is a yellow toned and also the 2nd lightest and then I picked 09 Mid toned which is the 6th shade up.  Yellow toned and Neutral tones suit me better as I have sallow skin.
The BB Cream Foundation costs £3 for 30mls of product which is a great price if this turns out nice :) :)
Makeup Revolution Claims:  High coverage, easily blendable foundation creating the perfect flawless complexion. With BB cream high coverage qualities, suitable for all skin types this foundation provides long lasting makeup in a range of shades to suit all skin tones.
As you can see the packaging is very simple and easy to use.  I like that it gives you the easy option of squirting your required amount of product without using too much.  Also you are really getting what your paying for because when you feel the tube is empty you simply cut the top off and scoop out the rest of the product thats left behind :)
So now that we have that over with let me show you the shades I got
Also since buying these I watched Dyna's Video on the Ultra Base and she got a different shade to me she also stated it was the perfect match for her which interested me as I am near enough the same shade as her.  The shade she got was 06 yellow toned which I will be buying when I shop again :) :)

As mentioned about this is 03 Yellow Toned which is the 2nd lightest on the site :)  This is a very pale shade and would suit anyone who has a very pale complexion.  The first shade is pink toned and certainly looks lighter than this shade so even if you are very pale and find 03 a little dark you can mix 02 and 03 together :)

The next shade is 09 Mid tone

09 mid tone was a surprising finish for me.  I wasnt expecting it to be as dark or as orange as it is.  This is well suited for anyone who is medium skin tone.  This shade is certainly 2 shades darker than my skin tone.  This will only suit people with a yellow undertone as it will look very orange to those of you who are very pale.

The consistency of this foundation is actually thicker than I expected so a little goes a long way.  When spread out it especially with your fingers it melts to a lighter feeling consistency.

Ok so My thoughts on this foundation I bet you are wondering
Coverage
The Coverage is not high coverage but it is light to medium.  You can just keep it with the one layer which is literally a light coverage finish or you can add another layer to give you light to medium coverage.  After applying the 2 layers I could still see my freckles but the coverage was enough to keep me happy I have slight pigmentation on my forehead and under my nose and it covered that up very well.  I am not saying it covers my pigmentation completely because it doesnt but you would need to be right up on moi face to see that :) :)

How it feels
When you first apply this foundation I have to admit it feels slightly sticky like a heavy moisturiser.  I did not apply a moisturiser like I normally do before applying this as its a BB Cream so I knew I would get enough moister from this.  I did apply a primer before hand as I hate to apply anything on my face without having some sort of barrier.  I at the moment have normal to combination skin.  After about 10 minutes of letting this settle on my skin I noticed the finish did not change from the time I first applied it.  I did look shiny and felt I definitely need to set this before walking out the door.  After setting it all over with a transparent powder I was delighted with the finish I found I still had a dewy finish in which I like and looked natural.

Lasting Power
I have worn this for the longest 8 hours and found it did not need to be powdered any more and did not fade.  Happy Days !!!!!

My skin felt very moist throughout the day.  The foundation did not in any way feel heavy while wearing it and I found it blended out very easily with my Blank Canvas Cosmetics F20 Stippling Brush.  With 03 been too light and 09 been to dark for me I was able to mix the two colours to come up with a shade that suited my own skin tone.  Here is a before and after picture of how it looks on me

If you click on the photo for a closer look you will see on the second photo near my hairline that you can still see the pigmentation a little but you would also need great eyesight to do so even in person lol You can also see some of my freckles but I like that as freckles are beautiful.  I don't like covering them all up as its so natural looking to see freckles on the skin.
In all I am very please with this for only £3 you are getting what you are paying for.  Not only that its light and also gives you a natural look without making it obvious you ware wearing any foundation.  Its gives enough coverage to even out your skin tone yet anything like pigmentation, freckles and blemishes will still be a little visible while wearing this.  Lastly if you have oily skin I think this foundation might me a no no for you.  Anyone with dry skin, normal to dry or combination skin will love this.
Have you tried this foundation yet?  Would it be something you would like to try?  Let me know your thoughts
Thanks so much for reading
Until next time

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation

Hello My beauties I hope you are all well.  I am tending to sickly kiddies at the moment the poor things are running temperatures and have a chest infection awww the joys of the winter sicknesses :(.  Hopefully they will pick up soon as I hate to see them unwell.
You all know at this stage that I am a huge huge fan of the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation I have been ever since seeing Sineady Cady's from The Makeup Chair review on it well over a year ago.  I always seem to go back to it even after taking a break to try different foundation. Then I heard early this year that the "old version" was been discontinued NOOOOOOOOOO . That day I went straight into Boots and stocked up on my shade  I got 3 bottles in total and was happy.  Of course when they ran out there was More panic!!!!! That ment I finally had to convince myself to try the New Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation which made me edgy because to be honest once you are used to something its very hard to like another dont you agree!!!!!! Anyways I thought mmmmm I will give it a go after all Bourjois has been impressing me quite alot lately and hopefully the only thing they changed was the bottle and not the formula
To remind you what the only packaging looked like check the picture below

Well the first thing I noticed that changed was in fact the bottle to an even bottle in my opinion as it is now glass instead of plastic :)  It looks more presentable and more expensive looking :) :)
The pump is basically the same thank goodness as I love a foundation with a pump its so much more hygienic and more controllable.

Bourjois Say:
Bourjois’ new Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix foundation is enriched with a fruit therapy formula to enhance your complexion.

Apricot for radiance
Melon for hydration
Apple to protect your youth

It is also enriched with crystalline pigments to even out the complexion while letting in the natural light for that healthy looking glow.

I have to say I found the Foundation no different in scent I get a slight floral scent but nothing OTT and to be honest Its practically non existent when on the face which is a good thing as I hate any sort of cosmeticy scented products near my face or lips.
The consistency is a little more runny than the old version which in fact is nicer as it applies a lot better in my eyes.  I find I apply my foundation alot quicker than before.  I apply with my Blank Canvas Flat Top F20 Brush and its looks amazing either that or I use my amazing Beauty blender also from Blank Canvas

In the summer when i was all Tanned hence the word WAS I was in the shade 53 but with it been November my tan has faded a bit so I opted for the shade 52 which was my normal shade before the summer.
52 is the 2nd lightest shade in the range.  As you can see it has a yellow tone to it where as the older version had more of a neutral tone.
When i first applied this I found it to be way too pale for me.  It did oxidise a little but still looked very pale so the next time I applied it I mixed with with my near gone number 53 and its the perfect shade.  I know I will become paler in the winter so until then I will continue to mix :)
I found this absolutely lovely against my skin, very lightweight like as if I am not wearing any foundation at all.  I am still getting medium coverage from this foundation which is exactly what i wanted.  What I love more about this foundation is that it does not soak into my fine lines or large pores its amazing I love it :)

I also recommended this to someone last week and she has reported back saying she is in love with this too.
I absolutely love that this is giving me the healthy glow it promises because with the weather change and the heat in the house it has dried out my skin a little and I need that extra boost which is what I am getting :) :)
Another great thing about this foundation is that it photographs brilliantly even with flash photography :)
Here is a photo of my wearing the foundation without it been mixed

Here is a picture of it mixed with shade 53 using flash photography (This picture was actually taken by a professional photographer with a huge camera with a huge flash)  I am in the front row in the cream top :) :)

Overall I am very pleased with the foundation and glad to say there is not a huge difference made to the formula I highly recommend this to everyone to try.  Anyone that I recommended the foundation to has always reported back to me saying they love it.  For the price you are getting an amazing foundation which only needs a pump or a pump and a half to do the entire face.
You can purchase this foundation in most drugstores
and also from Boots.ie
For anyone who is looking for a foundation thats
Affordable
Medium coverage
Lightweight
Gives a natural looking glow
Long lasting
Easy to apply
Does not soak into fine lines and pores this is surely the one for you
The only downfall???? There is not enough shades to choose from.  The shades available would be suitable for pale and medium toned girls anyone with dark skin tones will be disappointed.  Hopefully that will change soon :)
Have you tried this foundation yet?
Until Next Time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter

I love love love hearing from you all :) I make it my duty to read each and every one of you comments and every time i get a comment from you it highlights my day thanks so so much to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My Empties #2

Hello My Beauties How are you all today?
I decided to do another Empties Post, alot of you liked the last one I did so I have been stashing my empties especially for you :) :)
Let me tell you its great to finally throw them into the bin lol
I love these sort of posts and videos because you surely get a full insight to how the blogger/youtubers got on with the products and see if they would repurchase them again :)
So without further ado I shall start on mine :)

Starting from the left
Lancomes Softening Hydrating Toner:  I got 2 very decent sampled sized bottle of this product from the Lancome Event I went to.  I was super excited to try this out partly because Its not often I get the chance to try something from a high end brand like Lancome plus I wanted to see just why it costs so much.  To be honest I don't see why this product costs as much as it Smells good, Refreshes the skin like it claims and also is alcohol free I felt it didnt do anything different to what a drugstore toner did for me.  Dont get me wrong I loved using it but to be honest I would not go out there and pay around €30 for a toner not on your nelly :) :)

Elemis Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser:  I got this in one of my glossyboxes and was super excited to try it out.  If I am not mistaking this Full Sized costs about £20 to buy which again is high end in my eyes.  I have also heard that "Freshskin" range by Elemis is for teens and twenty year old's .  I didnt find any fault with this product it did hydrate my skin well and I found I used very little to cover my face and neck.  This sample lasted me for quite some time.  The scent from this moisturiser is mild and smells a little like almonds I actually liked it alot.  Would I go out and buy it again hmmmm no to be honest It didnt do anything different to what some drugstore moisturisers did to my face and for £20 per bottle I was expecting a little more from it

St Ives Daily Microdermabrasion:  I absolutely love love love this product its one of my favourite daily defoliators out there.  I mean this is amazing it smells amazing it feels amazing and the out come is amazing my skin feels smooth and soft and ready for the day :)  You can purchase this from boots and costs as little as €6.69 for 125ml I will surely be giving this a separate review soon :) :) Love it

Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 makeup-remover:  (still a favourite ) This is a favourite of mine for sure and for a long time.  Its so so affordable in fact it only sets me back about 3 to 4 euro.  This contains 2 layers the top layer (blue) is the eye makeup remover the bottom layer is suppose to be for the face.  It contains no perfume or alcohol.  The reason I love this so much is that its absolutely amazing to take of my eye makeup literally one swipe and bam gone.  I find If i use the blue layer before shaking it for the rest of my face the blue layer is more effective for the most stubborn waterproof mascaras and liners.  The only fault........ its feels quite oily and I dont particularly like oily products on my face.  The fact it does such a great job, its affordable and its brilliant even for anyone with sensitive skin I can tolerate a little oiliness.

Nivea Refreshing Toner:   This has to be the most affordable toner I have tried and loved.  This feels amazing against the skin and I find no stingy feeling while using it.  Its that gentle on the skin I have even used this around the eye area and found it had no effect on me.  I feel refreshed and I find it works great taking whatever dirt and grime thats left on my face.  It smells amazing too :) :) I will certainly be repurchasing :)

Docteur Renaud Raspberry Soft Cream Review:  I received this moisturiser in my glossybox (in which I do not get anymore)  I think this was a limited edition moisturiser For 50mls of moisturiser this would set you back a whopping £25 which is quite steep to be honest especially for just an everyday moisturiser.  Yes it smells amazing and feels really nice against the skin leaving you hydrated for the day but with that price I was expecting more even spf or something I was certainly not going to go out of my way to repurchase.  If it was cheaper I would but I think the price is a bit much

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes:  I know alot of people are against face wipes but to be honest in my opinion if you find the right facial wipes you are doing no harm to your skin I have been using them for years.  These wipes were recommended to me because I was going through a little bit of a rough time with my face and using my normal face wipes were irritating it more so I gave these a try and loved them.  They are ideal for anyone with sensitive skin and did not feel one bit scratchy which I love.  There is no oils, no alcohol, no perfume and no colouring in these but what is in them is  Pro-Votamin B5 which actively restores, softens and smoothes.  They are even gentle on the eyes.  I will be repurchasing these again for sure :)

Lush Vanilla See-Lite Body Lotion:  Oh dont even get me started on this little beauty.  Ladies if you are a vanilla scent fan or even if you are not you will love this body lotion.  Oh my goodness I got this sample sized (as big as it is) in one of their boxes and loved it from day one so much so I went back and bought the full sized bottle.  This smells out of this world even when I apply this all over people can smell the vanilla all the way downstairs.  Plus the scent lingers literally all day long on me.  My skin feels smooth and soft and leaves a beautiful healthy glow on there too.  I loved this all over the summer as it made my tan look amazing.  I highly recommend this to everyone you will love it :)

Cocoa Brown 1 hour tan:  I absolutely love this tan Check out my blog post on it to see what difference this makes.  I love how natural it makes me look and lasts up to 5 days without having to worry about patches etc.  Its amazing and for under €8 its well worth it.  Marissa Carter has done an amazing job with this product for sure and she has lots more to try out too I cant wait to try her Moisturiser which is coming out very very soon.  Plus Marissa made an announcement that Cocoa Brown will be available to purchase on all Aer Lingus flights from Dec 1st!  Happy days :)

Batiste Dry Shampoo For Brunettes:  Wow I love this product.  It has been my saviour in more ways than one.  Been a busy mum and blogger its sometimes hard to get the time to wash my hair everyday.  To be honest I wash my hair only 3 times a week because my hair lasts that long before looking in any way greasy but some days I do find I need a little pick me up so I spray a little of this in and it livens up my hair more than it does if i washed it.  Honestly the volume that I get from this is amazing and my hair looks amazing plus it smells booti-ful :) I love it

Elizabeth Ardens 5th Avenue Perfume:  This has been a favourite for many years.  I have been through many bottles of this beautiful perfume and I really hope it never goes off market.  I like to wear this scent in the winter time I dont know why but I always seem to reach for it more around that time.  The perfume has a floral scent with a spicy edge to it but its not over powering.  I think it will always be one of my favourites once you buy a bottle of it and finish it, you will find you will buy another :)

2 of my favourite foundations ever !!!!
NYX HD Studio Photogenic Foundation:  I have a review done about this foundation already which you can check out here but this foundation is amazing full stop I find it brilliant for coverage for lasting powder for photos for everything.  It gives medium coverage and feels very lightweight.  My skin looks flawless and you use very little to cover the entire face.  The only fault I find is you have to purchase it online which means finding your perfect match can be hard but if you check out as many reviews as you can you will surely end up finding your match just make sure you do not go by the shades the website gives you as it will be wrong.  Love it !!!!!!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation:  Do you know what?? The beauty blogger that I am im only realising I have never done a blog post on this tut tut tut shame on me If you would like me to review this let me know :)  This is another long time favourite of mine.  Sineady Cady from themakechair and Lisa Eldridge are also fans of this foundation.  Seeing as I am around NC20-25 I find number 52 a perfect match for me.  The formula is very light and takes very little effort to apply.  I like to use a stippling brush like my Favourite foundation brush the Blank Canvas Cosmetics F20 Brush.  The finish is light to medium coverage and leaves my skin looking flawless.  I just love how natural it makes my skin look without giving away the fact I am wearing a foundation I love it !!!!!  The one thing I will have to say is that I would love if they would bring out more shades as there is only 5 shades to choose from but this is a perfect foundation for anyone with pale skin

Mally Volumising Mascara:  I have to say I fell into the you-tube hype on this mascara.  After hearing Itsjudystime and Emily Noels raving reviews about this I just had to see what the hype was about.  I did a full review on this mascara in which you can check out here .  I loved it but to be honest I found it dried out too quick And paying £17.50 per mascara is way too much for it to dry out after 2 months.

MUA Extreme Volume Mascara:  I have already reviewed this mascara and included photos of course but I just have to say for a £2 mascara this works pretty darn well !!! I was well impressed with the formula, with its performance and most of all with the wand.  For a super affordable product this is definitely worth a try.  I have even bought back ups of this I love it :)

Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Mascara:  There was one day I was reading through Fluff & Flipperies blog and Emma had a post up about Maxfactors Mascara's and the fact that they are 20 years old I thought that was amazing.  I was curious to find out what the formula was like especially what it was like 20 years ago.  So I searched online to see if I could get my hands on it.  I finally found it on Fragrance Direct for £4.50.  I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this.  The formula is not too wet, its jet black and also easy to apply what i love is the brush its curved and grabs every lash.  The finish result is nice full curled lashes.  It wouldnt be the type of lashes for night time but its certainly a during the day mascara :)

Avon SuperShock Mascara:  I absolutely love love love this mascara.  This has always been a favourite of mine for as long as I can remember.  Its amazing the brush is brilliant it grabs every lash, the formula is amazing its not too wet or dry its just right.  The finish is what you call perfect I have fuller longer lashes and it lasts until i take it off.  Its just such a pity Ireland do not have Avon anymore I miss it so so much :(

Before i begin my apologies for this been so grubby but i suppose thats what happens with brow gels with clear packaging :(
e.l.f Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Mascara:  I have loved this product since I first tried it 2 years ago.  For a £1.50 products this holds my brows into place literally all day long.  I love it.  You have one side for brows and one side for lashes.  I use both sides for my brows to make the product last longer :) :) I highly recommend you all to try it out if you havent already :)

Mac Eyebrow Pencil in Lingering:  I won this in a competition.  I have to admit I used it every single day I used it.  It was the perfect shade for my brows and the finish was as natural as you could get it.  I never had to set it and it lasted all day long without smudging one little bit.  I nearly cried when I ran out of this as I loved it that much but to be honest I cant bring myself to repurchase because of the price of it and the fact you only get 0.09gs of product for it.  There are plenty of dupes for this brow pencil out there that is a fraction of the price.

Wow Finally I am finished haha I hope I didnt bore you with this extra long post :)  Is there anything in this bunch that is your favourites or that isnt?  Let me know what are your thoughts on these :)
Until next time

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and Powder Review

Hello my Beauties How are you all doing today :)
Wow its been a while since I have done a Review on a foundation and I thought maybe it was about time (slap on the wrists)
I have plenty of foundations that I have been using happily through the past year but with the amazing summer that we were blessed with gave a a fantastic tan which ment I have darker skin so none of my current foundations suit my shading at the moment as they are all too light for me (and yes i know i can darken with a bronzer but im a beauty blogger, any excuse to go shopping for new products and i'll jump to it haha)  .  This was a great excuse to go shopping for a new foundation :)
I decided to go for the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation As I have heard some good reviews about it and I liked the concept of the foundation, powder and concealer already matched up for you (pure laziness in my part to search lol)
There are 12 shades of the foundation to choose from all suited for every skin type weither you are ligh, medium and dark toned :)
According to the diagagram in the pharmacy I got my foundation from my match was number 210 which is on the medium section which means 210 powder and number 20 concealer matches the foundation.  At the moment I am about a NC20 - 25 (so proud :)  Now you will have noticed I did not get the 210 powder and I will explain later why.  I also gave the concealer a miss as I have enough at home to finish before trying a new one :)
So Let me tell you a little about the foundation first :)
The foundation comes in a clear glass bottle which is always a great thing as it looks more expensive ;)  It comes it a great pump too which I adore as Its more hygienic using a pump than without.
Another great thing I noticed before even trying this out is the foundation has SPF18 in it which is always a bonus in my eyes even though I always protect with SPF before applying foundation.  You can never be too careful.
The formula of the foundation is quite light but don't presume that you will use more of it because of that reason as you will be wrong my dears in fact just 2 pumps of this foundation does the entire face and down the neck too.  There is a scent also its not strong and smells floral but its actually quite nice.  I am not a fan of strong smelling foundations but I do tolerate this scent.
The coverage is light to medium a perfect coverage for the summer time.  It covers enough but still shows off your freckles a little bit which I like.
The shade 210 is a perfect match for my skintone at the moment I am actually surprised its so perfect.  210 is more of a yellow based foundation and is perfect for me even though in the winter when I am less tanned I find neutral foundations aswell as yellow based work well for me as I am usually a NC15.  Even though this is yellow based its not too yellow and makes my skin look very very natural.  I love how easy this foundation applies especially with my favourite foundation brush from Blank Canvas Cosmetics the F20.  It applies evenly without an effort.
I am loving the finish of this foundation as it leaves a fabulous dewy finish but  let me warn you if you are a sufferer of oily skin you may find this to be of no use to you.  The reason been is because I am combination to dry skinned and sometimes especially in the summer I suffer with an oily t zone and even on my dry areas I found this to be dewy.  On my t zone I definitely have to use a powder as I have a high forehead and after applying this foundation you could probably see a reflection of you face on it lol.  This would be an amazing foundation for anyone who suffers with dry skin as it gives you the right amount of moisture and it looks fantastic.  With a little dusting of powder I still see a perfect dewy finish and I am in love with it.  I have been using this foundation constantly since I got it and even some of you have commented on how flawless my skin looks SO NOW YOU KNOW MY SECRET :) ;)
Overall I am very impressed with this foundation not only does it give me moisture, protects my skin, is oil free, the perfect match for me, gives me a dewy flawless nature look but it costs no more than €11.99.  Plus it lasts all day long :) :) One more great thing about this foundation is that its camera friendly even with it have SPF18 pictures come out brilliantly
Here is some photos I posted recently with the foundation on me :)
Before and after (try to ignore the cap i was in a childish mood that day hahaha)
This picture is taken in daytime but with a flash
Next up is the powder I was telling you about Do not worry this will not be long :) :)
I mentioned Earlier that Even though the match of my foundation was 210 I opted for 220 and the reason for that was because I found that the powder was too light for the foundation.  Even if you look at the very top photo 220 look too light for the foundation and believe me the photos are exact so exact that I made sure to take them in sunlight so you can see for yourself.  I still find 220 too light for the foundation but I have to admit I still use it

The powder comes in a pretty square black compact.  When you open the compact you will see you powder and then underneath that you are getting your mirror and powder puff.  All nicely presented and handy for travel
The powder itself is very lightweight and non chalky which I like as that means you have less wastage and only get what you want on the puff.
It feels smooth and creamy and doesnt look cakey when applied which is what alot of us do worry about when buying a new powder.
I don't use this all over my face but I do like to use this in areas that I highlight and conceal as it works great as a setting powder for that and adds brightness in the areas I want :)
I am not too bothered about the fact it doesn't match the foundation as I have enough compacts here for that but for some of you who are planning to match up your compact make sure before you leave the store.  As I said I do like the powder but its just the wrong match for me.
Well that is it from me today
Have you tried Maybelline Fit Me Products yet?
