Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights & Peach Lights

Hello Beauties I hope you are well :)
I did it again :)  I now own these highlighters for the longest longest time and realised I never blogged about them how crazy is that :)
I didnt blog about them not for the reason of not loving them in fact its the total opposite :)
These highlighters have to be one of my favourite drugstore highlighters I have ever used to be honest :)
I am sure alot of you Makeup Revolution fans have already tried tested and love these but for those who havent tried these yet you are going to want them :) :)

There are 3 different types of Baked Highlights by Makeup Revolution
  1. Golden Lights
  2. Peach Lights
  3. Pink Lights
For the life of me I do not know why I didnt pick up Pink Lights but I thought the first two were more up my street :)  For only £3.00 each I know these are a huge huge bargain :)
So lets talk a little about the packaging before I show you these up close :)
The packaging is very simple.  Black plastic with a clear lid showing which one is which :)
What I love is the design of the baked highlighter its beautiful and very fancy for only paying £3 for it :)  They are also very light weight which is always handy for carrying in your bag :)
First up is :)

Golden Lights is absolutely stunning and perfect for the summer months :)  and of course those nights out when you want those beautiful cheeks glowing.  Wow the pigmentation is out of this world.  A little goes a long long way :)
This yellowy gold highlight has beautiful tiny specks of golden shimmer that leave you glowing rather than looking like a disco ball :)

I love using this on the eyes aswell as its a great wakeup highlight for the inner corner and under the brow :)  Stunning :)

Next up is :)

Peach Light :) :)  I have to say this is my favourite out of the two to be honest :)  Reason been is because I like to wear more pinky blushes than any other shades and this really really blends in well with all my pinky and rosey blushes making my cheeks glow so well and making them look so natural :)

To be honest I dont know why this is called peach lights because when I swatch the highlight it looks more pinky white :)  I think thats why it blends in so well with my favourite blushes :)
This beautiful Highlight is not as pigmented on its first swatch than Golden lights but that to me is even better as you have full control of how much highlight you want of your cheeks :)

I am totally in love with these highlighters so much so I have two more in my kit :)  My clients adore them and I am delighted to be able to tell them that they are very affordable :)  I love how easy they are to apply and also how soft they feel against the skin :)  They feel so silky as all baked products do :)  What I love most about them is they last all day and night on you without even a smudge :)
Here is a picture of me wearing Peach Lights on my cheeks :)

Have you tried these yet :)
Whats your thoughts on them :)
I hope you enjoyed my review
Until Next Time

Makeup Revolution Medium Matte Bronzer

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
I finally dragged myself away from my usual daytime bronzer that I absolutely adore and to be honest neglected any other bronzer that I own because of it :)  If you are a regular reader you will know that I religiously use my Blank Canvas Cosmetics 6 pan Palette because its the bomb and literally the most amazing product ever.
I have to admit I have had this bronzer for quite some time and finally got using it for the past week :) Thanks to watching Dyna's Videos I couldn't resist and wanted to try this for myself

There is 3 different types of bronzers from this range
The first one which is Light has shimmer in it
The 2nd of course is Medium and is matte
The third is called Bronzed and I am nearly sure is matte as well :)
I really wanted to go for light but I am not a fan of shimmery bronzers and Bronzed looked too dark so I opted for Medium :)
Each bronzer only costs £2.00 which is very good for what you are getting :)
First of all let me show you the packaging which I think is so handy and very different :)

Its genius :)  I love how instead of lifting the lid off the bronzer which sometimes can break especially with affordable bronzers.  You click the side of it (1st picture) then twist it open :) :)
I Personally think this is even better as the bronzer is well protected and wont break too easy if it falls to the ground :)
When you turn over the packaging you will see a nice sized mirror.  Also in the back when you open the bronzer you will find a little slot with a a sponge :)  To be honest that a sponge with a bronzer is a little unusual.

When I first swatched this bronzer I thought "oh oh this this going to make me look like an oompa loompa" but I guarantee the swatch is alot stronger than it looks when used with a brush :) :)  The shade of this bronzer is more of a warm toned shade which is a little different to my normal bronzer which is cool toned.

I have been testing this alot and to be honest I am a contour addict.  When I do my makeup I cant not contour!!! Fact !!!  I have found however that this bronzer if used all over my face makes me look a little too orange but I love using this to contour my cheek bones :)  I love the effect and find it gives me a natural contoured look :)  When used with a light hand you can build the intensity you desire :)  For anyone with fair skin I highly recommend using a light hand.
The bronzer itself is nicely compacted and is not one bit chalky.  The powder feels soft to the skin and blend easily :) :)  Its very pigmented so a little goes a long way :)
Here is a photo of what it looks likes when used to contour my cheek bones :)

Overall I think its great value for money and for anyone who wants a nice natural golden bronzed look this bronzer is for you.  It has not dragged me away from my normal bronzer which I use all over my face but once summer hits and my skin is a little more tanned I will surely be reaching for this beauty alot more :)

Have you tried this bronzer yet?
Whats your thoughts on it?
Until next time

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick Review and Swatches :)

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
As you can see I have another Makeup Revolution review for you all but I know you all enjoy them and are excited to see and hear my reviews on their products which I want to thank you all for your feedback :)  I love hearing from you all :)

I decided to bite the bullet and order 4 shades of lipstick from Makeup Revolutions Amazing lipstick range :)  To be honest there are that many shades to choose from you couldn't possibly only order the one.  With over 30 shades to choose from ranging from nudes to pinks to red both creamy and matte for only £1 each you just have to indulge right?!!

Starting with the packaging of course it reminds me alot of the MUA lipstick packaging (Take a look here) .  As you can see the lipstick has a see through block at the bottom which is handy for us to make out what shade the lipstick is without having to open the caps :)
What I love about these lipsticks compared to MUA's lipsticks is that A)  each one has a name instead of a number B)  The lid on these lipsticks are sturdier :)
I decided to order 2 creamy and 2 matte lipstick to see which formula works for me and what the formula between the two is like
Starting with the Creamy Lipsticks

Flashing:  This is a very very creamy blue-toned pink.  This lipstick is very moisturising and very comfortable to wear on the lips.  Its perfect for a spring summer lip I love it :)

Dusty:  A nice neutral dusty rose shade.  This is a MLBB lipstick.  Again Dusty is very creamy and pigmented.  It gives a slight metallic finish which some people might not like but to me it makes your lips look a little bigger :)

The Mattes

Beloved:  This is another MLBB lipstick a coral pinky shade.  This I found not so pigmented as I had to swatch a few times on my lips before I saw any colour pay off.

The One:  I really thought that this might be a perfect nude for me but I was wrong :(  Its very pale for me so if you have pale skin do not go for this one.

To be honest I prefer the formula of the creamy lipsticks rather than the Mattes.  I feel the mattes are alot harder to apply and drag on my lips when applying.  I feel the mattes do not last long either which is unusual for matte lipsticks as they normally are made to last longer.  The creamy lipsticks feel amazing on the lips and I would buy more of them for the summer time especially when you need that extra moisture :)      Paying £1 for these lipstick I cant really say anything bad about these they add colour to your lips, they add a little moisture and fade away nicely.  I found they last about 1-2 hours at the most which is almost the same time affordable lipsticks last.  The only ones I would not buy again from this range are the mattes.

Have you tried these lipsticks yet?  Keep an eye out for more lipstick swatches from this brand soon :)
Until next time

Makeup Revolution The ONE Foundation Review

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
This is going to be a somewhat different review today :)
You all know at this stage that I have tried alot of Makeup Revolutions product and loved each and every last one of them but of course they can not be all that perfect can they?  I mean they are a new brand that has hit it off with all of us beauty addicts straight away :)  Of course there has to be some products that we may not like with any brand but to be honest up until now Makeup Revolution hasnt disappointed me at all
I am sure you may have guessed it my now that this is the product that has disappointed me.
Now this has in no way put me off the brand as I will continue to purchase anything new from them they are amazing and I cant take that away from them :)
Of course Makeup Revolution takes their customers feedback seriously and I know that they would want to hear everyone honest opinions .
I have been asked on a number of occasions have I tried the foundation by makeup revolution yet so I thought I may as well tell you all at once what I think :)
So let me tell you a little about it first :)

Makeup Revolution state:  This will be Your ONE Foundation. ONE shade for everyone Using Revolutionary fusion technology The ONE Foundation adapts to your skin tone and texture to give a flawless finish. Due to its liquid formula, it is Easily build-able and applied The ONE Foundation gives full coverage resulting in a matte finish. Available in 16 shades to suit every skin tones.

The foundation costs £4 each.  The packaging is alot different to any normal foundation I have used.  In fact the packaging looks alot like the Macs Face and Body foundation :)

The bottle is alot smaller than Macs F&B though as you will see below

The bottle has a twist lid and a nozzle with a a tiny peep hole on top.  The peep hole would remind you of a bottle of ear drops or eye drops.
It says on the box that you should shake the bottle before using the foundation so that is what I did.  I shook vigorously and then applied a drop to the back of my hand.  I was very surprised to see a very watery.  I was puzzled as it says that this foundation is full coverage which means it should be thicker.  This foundation was so watery I found even if I tilted my hand a tiny bit it ran everywhere.  The picture below shows how fast it runs and this is within about 3 seconds

Putting aside the watery consistancy I gave it the benefit of the doubt and applied a layer on my face.  First of all the shade was so wrong for me as it was more on the orange side than neutral or yellow which is what I normally go for.  The shade I chose was shade 5 which I thought might be close.  Putting aside the wrong shade I wanted to see what the coverage was like and after 1 layer I can safely say I covered nothing for me.  I have freckles, pigmentation, a mole and large pores on my face and it covered none of this.
So once the 1st layer set I applied another and the ame thing happened my freckles and pigmentation peeped through but there was a little more coverage there it was more light to medium.
here is an example of the pigmentation on my arm.

To see if the coverage would build up any more I tried a 3rd layer and Even though there was 3 layers on my face it only gave the most.....medium coverage.  I wasnt prepared to apply another layer to be honest as 3 was way to much as it was and I was looking more and more like one of mr wonka's oomp loompa lol
I have tried every different way to apply this to my face be it with my hands, a flat topped kabuki brush, a sponge etc and I get the same coverage each time.
So as you can tell this is not a foundation I will be repurchasing.  I think this foundation might suit someone who does not want much coverage.  I think this could pass as a tinted moisturiser for people with oily skin
Its a real pity that this didnt work out for me.  Did you try this yet?  What's you thoughts on it :)
Until next time

Makeup Revolution "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" Salvation Palette

Hello beauties How are you all :) :)
I should really slap myself on the wrists at this stage because I did it again :)
I have been using a product for a good while now and have not told you all about it !!
Yes I know tut tut once again
Today I am reviewing another palette that I own from by Makeup Revolution and to be honest have this about 5 months :) and still to this day I reach out to use it :)
You may remember me reviewing a palette like this called "What you waiting for" and I love it :) :) Well I am loving this palette just as much :)
I love these salvation palettes as they are a mixture of shimmer and matte eyeshadows and every handy if you are doing your makeup in a hurry or going travelling :)
There is 18 eye shadows altogether and each palette costs only £6

I love the packaging as it a nice size to fit in your handbag or travelling bag.  When you open the packaging thats where the magic begins :)
You will see a full sized mirror before you and the perfect put together affordable palette you will ever see :)

I love how this palette is put together.  On the left is 6 neutral shades that are perfect for daytime looks and on the right you have shades perfect for night-time looks or for a simple pop of colour :)

Starting with the top row
Pleasure Dome:  This is a lovely shimmery champagne with a yellow undertone :)  I adore this shade for highlighting or worn all over the lid for that bright eyed look :) be careful using this as its highly pigmented

Xanadu:  Another highlight only a little softer.  This is a beautiful peachy champagne shade This shade has beautiful golden finish

Moving On:  A stunning shimmery bronze very pigmented and one of my favourite shades :)

Using my power:  I adore this shade.  A beautiful electric shimmer blue that gives a beautiful metallic finish.  A very pigmented shade with silver shimmers :)

You really cant afford me:  I am in love with this next shade its so beautiful.  A deep shimmery blackened forest green hugely pigmented and perfect to wear on a night out :)

Even when you reach the top:  Another beautiful deep shade this time a favourite colour of mine.  A Blackened deep purple with golden shimmers :)  another very pigmented shade :)

Now for the 2nd row :)

Where lovers roam:  A deep bronzed brown.  A Very pigmented shade any neutral girl with love this :)

Jungle Call:  Another bronzed brown something like Where lovers roam.  This has more of a purple hint to it :)

Moving a million miles an hour:  A very pigmented very deep coppery gold shade :)  Very little goes a long way :)

Sell it by the hour:   A deep cool bright teal shadow.  This shade is a perfect pop of colour :)  Hugely pigmented :)

Shooting Stars never stop:  A Deep Shimmery gold  :) and very pigmented

There goes a supernova:  Another fabulous colour :)  A deep shimmery emerald green :)  another very pigmented shade :) :)

These swatches were made with no primer underneath :) :)

Now for the mattes :)

What a push over:  This is you simple matte cream shade perfect for highlighting under the brow or to use as a blending shade :)

Long way from Home:  A nice medium brown again can be used for blending but for people with more paler skin this could be a little too dark for blending.  I mix "Long way from home" and "What a push over" and use that as a blending out shade its perfect :)

Diamond by the hour:  A Dark chocolate brown to use as a transition colour or on the outer V for a daytime smokey look.
Love her body:  A deep mauve shade

I can do it:  A deep greyish brown with a tint on green

Never doing what i am told:  A deep almost black shade I say almost as its not the darkest black I have worked with.  This shade is very pigmented and can be a tad chalky so you may experience a little fall out with it

As you can tell I love this palette and think its very idea and very handy to have in your collection.  Each one of these shades will suit every skintone.  I love how pigmented every last shade is and how easy the eye shadows blend even the mattes :)

I created a look using the shades "Moving on" all over the lid,  "Jungle Call" on the outer 3rd of the lid,  a mixture of "What a push over & Diamond by the shower" and used this for blending,  I used "Moving at a million miles per hour" in the crease and "Never doing as I'm Told" on the outer V.  Lastly I used "Pleasure Dome" on my tear ducts :)

Have you tried this palette yet?
I hope you enjoyed my review
Until next time

Makeup Revolution - Ultra Blush & Contour Palettes in "Hot Spice and Sugar & Spice"

Hello my Beauties I hope you are all well :)
Today I am reviewing the Makeup Revolution - Ultra Blush & Contour Palettes in "Hot Spice and Sugar & Spice".  To be honest I have had these palettes for quite some time now and never got round to reviewing them because they became one of those products I got too used to using and totally forgot to share with you all :)  I am sure alot of Beauty Bloggers can back me up by saying that sometimes we forget to blog about something we literally use on an every day basis and then something clicks with us say oh darn I totally forgot to share my thoughts about this.
Well wait no longer as I am going to share with you my experiences with these palettes.

Makeup Revolution state:  Our ULTRA Blush & Contour palette is perfect for the professional application desired by all of us. Perfect for highlighting and contouring too. Professional and highly pigmented, yet easy to blend, these contain 8 shades consisting of shimmer and matte blushers, merged baked blusher, and merged baked highlighter powder. The ULTIMATE blush palette offering you 8 shades in 1 to suit any occasion! 8 exclusive and unique shades in each palette can be either used individually or combined to create the shade that you want. With a selection of matte and shimmers, merged and highlighting powder in each palette and set in a mirrored compact for touch ups on the go. Available in 2 palettes – 8 unique shades in each

Each palette costs only £6 each which is super affordable for 8 blushes per palette :)
Each palette comes in a normal black plastic packaging the same as all palettes.  The palette is very light weight and handy for travelling :) What even more handy is that these palettes come with a very big mirror inside LOVE IT !!!!!!!

So lets begin with the first palette which is call "Hot Spice"

As you can see inside these blushes are a very genorous size which actually shocked me as I assumed they were alot smaller.  There is no doubt about it these blushes are going to last you a very long time :)
Hot Spice is a palette full of Peachy and Terracotta shades and of course 2 highlight shade to suit the blushes.  To be honest I thought I might not like this as much at the other one because I tend to venture for more pinky shades on my cheeks.  I was wrong the shades as actually stunning :) :)

This palette has got a mix of shimmer and matte shades so incase you are one who is not fond of shimmer makeup revolution has thought of you too :) :)
Altogether there is 6 blushes and 2 highlight shades in which about 3 of them are matte

Some are more pigmented than others which means this palette will suit pale to medium skin tones best :) (click on the photo to see a close up)

The only thing I will not agree with Makeup Revolution in them stating that this palette will suit for contouring because as you can see yourself all these shades are either too orange or too bright for contouring especially on pale skin.  I especially love the highlight shades as the first highlight shade Is my favourite it has a slight peachy pink tone to it :)  The 2nd and third shade is my most used shade especially on days I like a little bit of colour but not too much.

Next up is Sugar & Spice :)
This is my favourite palette out of the two I have to admit because I am more of a pinks gal :) I feel Pinks suit by skin tone better :) :)

Doesnt it look beautiful :)
This palette like the first one contains a mixture of shimmer and matte blushes as-well as 2 highlights but this palette to me has more mattes than shimmer.

As Makeup Revolution have stated that these palettes are good for highlighting and contouring, we have already covered that I didnt think Hot Spice had any shade suitable for contouring and I feel the same goes for Sugar & Spice.  The two top shade are supposed to be for contouring but I think there is too much of a pink undertone to them to use as a contour.  They are infact great to use as a cheek colour for those days and nights you are going smokey on the eyes :)
The pigmentation of the blushes are absolutely amazing.  I mean one dip of a brush and you are sorted.  I will advise that if you have got pale skin be careful as these are very very pigmented and to be honest you can overdo it especially with the darker shades :) :)
The first highlight shade is amazing and boy is it pigmented a little goes a long way and compliments any pink toned blush, as you will see in the swatch picture the highlight has a pink iridescent to it :)
The second highlight is more of a baked blush to me with a good bit of shimmer.  It gives a beautiful glow to the cheeks but to be honest I would have preferred if the shimmer was golden than silver.
Here are the swatches :)

Over all if you are a lover of blushes you are going to love these palettes :)  I am going to buy two more of these for my kit as it saves me bring a load of single blushes with me :)
I think there is a shade in each of these palettes suitable for every skin tone.
The blushes are not one bit chalky which means no wastage of product.  I find they blend out beautifully and effortlessly.
These definitely get my thumbs up :)

In this photo I have used a little of the 1st shade in Sugar & Spice on my cheeks

Have you tried these palettes yet?  Which one would be your favourite
Until next time
