Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzer and Highlight Review :)

Well Hello Beauties :)
I hope you are all well :)
Todays review is on something that has been out on the market a year now and has been getting alot of hype :)  I have been wanting to try this for the longest time and finally got my hands on it when I was using up my points on my Boots Card :) :) I have always wanted to try the Bronzing powder in this version as I heard great things about it but when I seen this I thought it would be worth a try as I am getting 2 in 1 product for the same price
Todays review is on the Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzer and Highlighting Powder :)  (I havent a clue how to pronounce the words thank goodness I write a blog and not doing a video review on it lol)
As mentioned above I got this in Boots for €10.49 and at the moment Boots is doing an offer 3 for 2 on selected Bourjois products :) :)

The packaging is absolutely brilliant :)  I love how this is so small and slim.  The lid is closed with a magnetic fastener that opens and closes easily yet is firm shut once closed :)
To me it looks more like a book than a bronzer and highlighter :)

Inside of course it looks like a book take a look :)

Let me warn you chocoholics out there that once you open this you instantly get the cocoa scent of this amazing product :)  mmmmmmmmm it doesnt really help with the fact I have to stay well away from chocolate due to being an IBS Sufferer but hey what can I do lol
On one side you are getting great instructions on how to use the product and on the other side you are getting what looks like a chocolate bar mmmmmm.  2 block of this "Bar" is the bronzer and the other 2 is the Highlighter :) :)

The bronzer is a perfect bronzer for anyone with light to medium skintone.  I think if someone with very fair skin tried to use this it would look a little orange on them.  It has got a warm orangey undertone to it so it would only suit those who have neutral to yellow undertones :)
Dont get me wrong its not hugely orange especially on me in fact its the perfect day time bronzer without looking over powering.  It creates a beautiful shadow around my face :)  The bronzer is also matte which is great I love matte bronzers and prefer them over shimmery ones :)
You can also build this up to whatever intensity you desire.  You can use it lightly for a light tanned finish or build it up for a more daytime contoured look :) :)  The pigmentation of the bronzer is incredible a little goes a long way and the powder is so soft and creamy blending is effortless :) :)

The highlight is some what different.  It is a gone off white highlight with golden shimmer.  The golden shimmer is not chunky with means you get a glow on those cheek bones more than looking like a disco ball.  The highlight is not as pigmented as the bronzer but I think that is a good thing more than bad :)  It means you have complete control of the amount of highlight you apply to where ever you want :)  The highlight is also very creamy and soft and effortless to apply :) Below is a light swatch of both :) :)

I have to admit I did have higher expectations of this.  The bronzer is a little on the orange side for anyone who is fair skinned and the highlight is stunning but you do have to pack it on to be noticable :)  The scent of them is beautiful and the packaging is so so handy to carry around in your bag :)
Over all I think its a great deal for two products in one and if you have fair to medium skintone you will love this :) :)
Here is a close up picture of both products lightly on my face :) and a light sweep of blush inbetween Sorry about the flash as I had to use it to show the highlight :)

I hope you enjoyed this review :)
Have you tried this yet?
Whats you thoughts on it :)
Until next time

Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights & Peach Lights

Hello Beauties I hope you are well :)
I did it again :)  I now own these highlighters for the longest longest time and realised I never blogged about them how crazy is that :)
I didnt blog about them not for the reason of not loving them in fact its the total opposite :)
These highlighters have to be one of my favourite drugstore highlighters I have ever used to be honest :)
I am sure alot of you Makeup Revolution fans have already tried tested and love these but for those who havent tried these yet you are going to want them :) :)

There are 3 different types of Baked Highlights by Makeup Revolution
  1. Golden Lights
  2. Peach Lights
  3. Pink Lights
For the life of me I do not know why I didnt pick up Pink Lights but I thought the first two were more up my street :)  For only £3.00 each I know these are a huge huge bargain :)
So lets talk a little about the packaging before I show you these up close :)
The packaging is very simple.  Black plastic with a clear lid showing which one is which :)
What I love is the design of the baked highlighter its beautiful and very fancy for only paying £3 for it :)  They are also very light weight which is always handy for carrying in your bag :)
First up is :)

Golden Lights is absolutely stunning and perfect for the summer months :)  and of course those nights out when you want those beautiful cheeks glowing.  Wow the pigmentation is out of this world.  A little goes a long long way :)
This yellowy gold highlight has beautiful tiny specks of golden shimmer that leave you glowing rather than looking like a disco ball :)

I love using this on the eyes aswell as its a great wakeup highlight for the inner corner and under the brow :)  Stunning :)

Next up is :)

Peach Light :) :)  I have to say this is my favourite out of the two to be honest :)  Reason been is because I like to wear more pinky blushes than any other shades and this really really blends in well with all my pinky and rosey blushes making my cheeks glow so well and making them look so natural :)

To be honest I dont know why this is called peach lights because when I swatch the highlight it looks more pinky white :)  I think thats why it blends in so well with my favourite blushes :)
This beautiful Highlight is not as pigmented on its first swatch than Golden lights but that to me is even better as you have full control of how much highlight you want of your cheeks :)

I am totally in love with these highlighters so much so I have two more in my kit :)  My clients adore them and I am delighted to be able to tell them that they are very affordable :)  I love how easy they are to apply and also how soft they feel against the skin :)  They feel so silky as all baked products do :)  What I love most about them is they last all day and night on you without even a smudge :)
Here is a picture of me wearing Peach Lights on my cheeks :)

Have you tried these yet :)
Whats your thoughts on them :)
I hope you enjoyed my review

MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat the Blues in Oyster Gold

Hello Beauties :) :)
I come to you with yet another MeMeMe Cosmetics product.  Again like the Arch Angel I have had this for at least a month and it has earned a place in my makeup kit :)  Good news? Yes as that means I am comfortable enough to use this on other people including myself.
I know for a fact you lovely ladies are going to be very very interested in this too especially if you are ones who like highlighters this blog post will surely interest you xxx

A Healthy Glow is what I miss more from summer time :) I see it in myself the natural glow is gone I also notice it in my kiddies.  Sunshine gives us the natural balance of Vitamin D which makes our skin look healthy and glowing :)
When the winter comes in we crave for that natural glow and now we can get it from beat the blues :) :)

MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat the Blues in Oyster Gold is the answer to all our prayer :)
I have tried many highlighter and have my favourites but most of my highlighters are in powder form.  I have to admit I have tried highend liquid highlighters than cost an arm and a leg and yes they are good but I cant bring myself to spend the money to buy them.  Well this little beauty has said to be a dupe of a certain highend brand and to be honest after trying it I can safely say there is no difference :)

MeMeMe Cosmetics state:  Skin Illuminator & Complexion Highlighter. These are our best-selling hero products are ideal for creating a youthful dewy finish. Whether it’s a golden glow or pearly pink sheen you desire, simply dot along brow and cheek bones to highlight and accentuate or mix with foundation for an all over shimmer.

I have to point out yet again the packaging on this little beauty.  This highlight comes in a glass bottle that looks like a nail polish.  There is 12mls of product in there which is more than enough to do you for at lease 6 - 12 months depending on how often you use it and guess how much it is ??  £5.50/€6.99
The highlight even comes with a brush thats exactly like a nail polish :)
This is always handy when you are travelling when you dont want to bring brushes with you :)

To be honest you would get away with not using any brushes with this product.  I like to place a pea sized amount on the back of my hand a dip my finger into it then dab in the areas I want to apply for example on my brow bone or on my cheek bones, anywhere I want to highlight.  Its as easy as that.  When applying on a client or anyone else I like to use my Blank Canvas Cosmetics F29 brush it leaves a beautiful flawless finish :) Another way I use this is to mix a tiny amount into my foundation which leave me with an all over illuminated and natural looking finish

I absolutely love how subtle this highlight it.  Its gives this beautiful light golden shade but has a slight pinkish finish to it.  I also love how you can not over do highlighting with this.  There is alot of liquid highlighters out there that are very pigmented and 9 times out of 10 you find you cant help but over do it with them.  Whereas this highlight is build-able and you have more control over it.
This highlight is perfect for anyone who suffers with acne scarring, enlarged pores, fines lines etc who doesn't want highlighter to highlight those problem areas.  It may seem shimmery but believe me it doesnt it in slightest look shimmer on your face.  The shimmers are that fine they only give you the perfect dewy finish we crave for.  Best of all because its liquid it does not settle into fine lines etc.
I adore this so much I want to buy the other highlight in Pearl Pink :)
Here is a picture of one of my clients wearing Oyster gold on her cheeks Doesnt it give her such a beautiful natural looking glow :)

Beautiful isnt she :)
I highly highly recommend this to you all :) I adore this product and think its one item everyone should have in their collection :)  especially in these dreary dark winter months :)   Have you tried this yet.
Check out their website MeMeMe Cosmetics or if you are from Ireland Check out their list of stockists :)

Until next time

Guest Blog Post #1: Top 5 Highlighters by Lauren Marie

Hi everyone, I'm Lauren from Makeup By Lauren Marie and  I have put together my top 5 highlighters, weather you like to look OTT or just simply glowing, there is something here for everyone.

First up if your on a budget, I highly recommend Bourjois Java Rice powder, this is an illuminating powder that brightens the skin and adds a very subtle glow to the cheeks. Its so finely milled its a dream to wear and looks great applied to the apple of the cheeks and along the temples, I cannot recommend this enough. Still sticking with budget we have Sephora Rose highlighter, this is a little more obvious but still natural. Its a rose gold shimmering powder that looks super divine on the face. This is highly pigmented and for only €13 its a steal.

If you like to spend a little extra, Mac Soft & Gentle is a gorgeous highlighter, this is subtle, but still vivid, I do find that if this is applied and buffed in too much it can turn to glitter, so just sweeping this across your cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose with a light hand is the best way to apply it. This will catch the light and give your face that luminous glow. If you have pale skin and feel as though Rose shaded highlighters are a bit too dark for you, Nars Albatross is the perfect highlighter for you. Albatross is a yellow toned highlighter, that looks really unique, its contains hardly any glitter just shimmer and looks great on the cheeks, this can be applied lightly for a more natural look or it can be applied more heavy handed for a dramatic result. This one is defiantly one to keep an eye out for. Lastly we have the mother of all highlighters and that is The Balm Mary Loumanizer, this is the bomb.com literally. Its creamy, pigmented and looks like your cheeks are bursting with glowiness when its applied. This highlighter is for people who love highlighter so if your not one who likes to stand out, you may want to avoid this one.

So there you have it, 5 great highlighters ranging from barley there to in your face glow. Have I tempted you into trying any of these? Comment below and tell me your favourite highlighter.

Catrice Prime and Fine Illuminating Base + Highlighting Powder Review

Hey my beauties :) :) I hope you are all well :)
Today i have a 2 in 1 review for you :)
I am reviewing Catrice Cosmetic's Newest releases in their Prime and Fine collection.  The reason i call is a collection is because they now have 4 items in the Prime and Fine category.  I now own 3/4 of their products  in which i have already reviewed one of them.  That was the Catrice Prime and Fine Smoothing Refiner Primer .  I was so impressed with the smoothing refiner primer that i didnt even think twice about purchasing these 2 new products :)
So the first product as you can see by the photo is the Prime and Fine Illuminating Base.
Catrice states The moisturizing formula provides the perfect base for all kinds of make-up. Light-reflecting pearl shimmer pigments cover-up skin irregularities, pores and fine lines. And make a visible difference.
The packaging is a simple squeezable black tube with a skinny disposable nozel which i find brilliant as it hygienic and you have alot of control of how much product come out of the tube.   Top marks on that one :) :)
You are getting 20ml of product for 5.49 euro but price may vary depending on what country you are from
Ok on this one i have to mention the scent......Its a very unusual scent.....it is a little cosmetic-y with a tint of sweetness.  I am not really great at describing scents but to be honest its not a scent i would like.  Simple fixture of this is not to put it around my nose area :) :)
The consistancy of this is not thick but not watery either which leave applying so darn easy.
Ok Ok enough about the whole description and more on the performance.
To be honest I didnt find a great difference with this product.  It gives a tiny tiny bit of a glow especially if you apply it after your foundation but not before!! It soaks into the skin very well but i found no difference in wearing my foundation with or without this on.  I found more of a difference with the Catrice Prime and Fine Refiner Primer which i love and will definitely repurchase.
So over all this is a no no for me Sorry Catrice :O
Next up is the Prime and Fine Highlighting Powder :)  Sorry about the photo the packaging looks like it had its worst for wear but to be honest it was like this when i picked it up at the shop.  It was the last one left so i just grabbed it besides its only a couple of scratches and i dont mind that.
As you can see the packaging is basically the same idea as before black plastic square compact with silver writing on it :)
You ger 11g of prduct for the total of 4.99 euro which is a good price for the amount of product you are getting
When you look at the product you barely see any shimmer that it says it has what you see is a very pale pinkish shade with teeny tine micro-shimmers.  To touch the powder feels silky and smooth :)
This is an amazing highlight for everyday wear the pinkish tone does not even show up on the face what you do get is a lovely goldish glow.  In the sunlight this looks amazing.  You can also be reassured that you will not over do it with this powder as its very light to apply.
Depending on how much of a glow you desire you can build it up to whatever strength you like.
I think this is the lighest highlighter i do have so i am happy to have this in my collection for everyday wear but if you are looking for a good strong highlight effect from this product i think you would be wasting your money.
I love this and will repurchase for everyday wear in the future

Well that is my review for today.  Have you tried with one of these yet?
Whats your views on them
Until next time Take care
