Real Techniques Starter Kit Review

Hello My beauties How are you all today :)
I am finally getting round to doing this review after so long.  I to be honest got that used to using these brushes I totally forgot about the fact that I never got round to reviewing them.  Dont get me wrong its not for the fact that it is a bad review its far from it but we in general sometimes get to used to using something and never share our experiences.   I have often used a product that I have been using for so long and actually stop to think wow i love this so much I should share it lol but something else always gets in the way.  Its a shame as i have had these brushes for about 6 months now but better late than never eh?
At this stage I am sure alot of you have heard of Real Techniques Brushes that have been created by the Wonderful Samantha Chapman from Pixiwoo :) Well since that Nic has also joined the Real techniques team and together they are creating the best tutorials on how to use these brushes :) From the Website:
Designed with pro makeup artist Sam + Nic Chapman, Real Techniques brushes combine high-tech materials with innovative design to make creating a pixel-perfect look easier than ever
  • Synthetic bristles are ultra plush and smoother than the hair you'll find in other brushes. Since taklon is synthetic, it's 100% cruelty-free. The soft fibers help create a flawless, high-definition finish in any type of light – from sunlight to harsh indoor lighting.
  • The color-coded system corresponds to the key steps of makeup application so you can create a flawless base, enhanced eyes, and the perfect finish like a pro.
  • Each brush head is hand-cut to the perfect shape, allowing for precise application from dense coverage to a soft, delicate finish.
  • The collection is suitable for a wide range of products and every makeup need – from powders, creams, and liquids to mineral makeup, highlighter, and shimmer.
  • Brush names on the handles make for easy reference when creating your favorite look.
For my first try of the Real Technique brush I of course Had to opt for the Starter Kit which contain all eye brushes and to be honest is the perfect kit to create any eye look :)  You can Purchase this on Cloud10 website for €24.99 and you can also buy this kit at boots or superdrug which costs €28.99 but of course I had to see if I could get an even better bargain for it and I am happy to confirm I did get it at a more affordable price at just $18 which is only €13 what a bargain eh? Where I hear you ask of course the iherb website but dont jump straight away to buy because at the end I am going to give you a special link where you can get up to $10 off your first order ;)

As you can see you are getting 5 eye brushes to which are colour coded with the colour purple so when you have your little collection of Real Technique brushes built up at least you can tell them apart I love that :)  The brushes come in a special travel case which is always hand right?

I like the way the brushes are designed.  They the name of the brush printed on the handle with Samantha's name also printed.  They have an easy grip end which is black so its easy to hold and use.  The length of the brush is perfect and with the easy grip at the end it shows first time users where to hold the brush while applying their make-up.  It is actually important to know where and how to hold the brushes as it makes a difference to your looks.
In this Kit you are getting:

The Deluxe Crease Brush :  I hate that I am starting this with a downer but I have to.  This isnt one of my favourites I have to admit Even though it says that this brush is for Contouring the crease it can be slightly too big for ones who have smaller eyes.  For me its the perfect size for my crease as I have big eyes.  I also find that this brush is very firmly packed with the synthetic fibres that some might find it too solid for a crease brush.  It is in fact a great brush for packing on the colour to the crease and also for blending in but I find I have to use a more softer blending brush to use after applying the colours.   I also love to use this to blend out my concealer under my eyes and it is the perfect size for applying highlight on the brow bone.

Next up is
The Base Shadow Brush:  Now this is a favourite of mine I absolutely love this brush and use it for multiply purposes.  This brush Is the perfect size for applying a wash of colour onto the lid.  Its also perfect for applying colour to the crease because of its shape it applies evenly for a cut crease look.  The bristles are alot softer on this brush than the deluxe brush which means you can use this as a blending brush too.  I love the shape, the feel and the performance of this brush and highly recommend it :)

Next up is

The Crease Brush:  This is another great brush to have in your collection I absolutely adore it.  This is a little brush for the more detailed work on your eyes such as highlighting the inner corner of your eyes or even if you are on who has smaller eyes this is perfect for applying colour on to your lids.  This is also perfect for smudging your liners.  I like to use this brush when creating a dark smokey eye because it allows you to apply the shadow to the exact place you want it without going overboard.

Next is :

The Pixel-point Eyeliner Brush:  A Brush I am not a fan of because I found that it was too thick and flimzy to be an eyeliner brush but I am glad to report that this brush has been replaced with The Fine Liner Brush which has a more finer tip for a better application.  I still use this brush to apply eye-shadow on my lower lash-line which allows a more precise line and no smudging

And Lastly

The Brow Brush:  This is surprisingly thicker than most brow brushes I have used.  There is one thing I have to say is that this brush is nice a smooth and soft unlike some brow brushes you get that can be hard and prickly.  I like how this brush leaves applying your brows so easy and the brush allows easy blending.  I have to admit I still to this day spend alot of time perfecting my brows but using this brush has lessened my time which is even better :)

Over all I am very happy with this kit.  The brushes work well and are great quality for the price.  They wash well and they never shed which is also great.  I do have my favourite eye-shadow brushes of my own and to be honest these brushes do not take over my favourites but thats not saying they are not brilliant either as I do use them constantly.  This is also a great deal for anyone starting up their make-up collection because as I stated before all that's missing is a good blending brush and you are sorted.  Have you tried these yet?  Whats your thoughts on them?  If you are interested in trying them out for yourself here is a code KBM938  that will set you on your way with up to $10 off your first order.
I hope you enjoyed this review and I have another Real Techniques one coming very soon
Until next time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter

I've faintly heard a lot about these brushes. They look seriously soft! I want to get their face powder brush (because I need one) so I can try them out

Is it bad that I'm going to say that I love the crease brush? Lol. I have really small eyes but find this lovely to use. Never tried it with concealer though so will give that a go soon ;)

Sumitra Thanks for visiting :)

Louise Not at all hunny some people might really enjoy it but to me using different crease brushes makes me not like it as much as some :) Let me know what you think of it after you use it with concealer
