MUA New Matte Lipsticks

Hello Everyone  :) 

How are you all today :) 

Well todays review is on the the New MUA Matte Lipsticks.  I couldnt resist as I do love Matte Lipsticks.  

I am very cautious when it comes to buying matte lipsticks because I have had experience with some brands that they are just way too drying or that they are hard to apply or that they look patchy on the lips I just hate that.  I have found a brand so far that is affordable and that do amazing Matte Lipsticks but there is always a want to try other brands for comparison both in price and in quality.  

MUA Matte lipsticks are only £1 each which is a super super bargain and a price not to be beaten in my eyes.  

MUA has also changed the packaging a little on their matte lipsticks.  Their normal range you will find that their lipsticks are a black tube whereas this range (the matte range) has a white tube which is always nice to have a little change.  Plus its easier to pick out amongst the massive collection of lipsticks we girlies already own (yes you and me and all the beauty addicts out their lol). 

There are 5 shades in total 
There is:  Wild Berry which is a deep blackcurrant shade 
Scarlet Siren which is a a bright red 
Pouty Pink which is a bright pink and then there is the 2 I decided to go with which are Peachy Keen and Totally Nude 

Peachy Keen is a Peachy coraly shade with pink undertones If you have pigmented lips this will look more on the pinker side than peach.  I found this shade quite sheer but buildable and very very pretty for an everyday wear lipstick 
Totally Nude:  Don't judge the lipstick buy the tube honestly this is not as pale as it looks so all you pale girlies don't be scared because this will not wash you out.  There is a slight tint of pink in this nude lipstick which is probably why this doesn't wash you out.  Again this is sheer but buildable 

I have to admit I might have had alot more expectations for these lipstick than I admit as I presumed the fact that they are matte, they were going to be booming with pigmentation.  I hate to admit it now but I was wrong.  I think I picked the sheerest shades out of the 5 as they are the lightest shades but I did expect more pigmentation from them than what I got.  
My first impressions where not at all great either because when i first applied these to my lips they felt and looked greasy.  They also looked patchy which disappointed me.  
Then I tried the lipsticks after ex foliating my lips and apply a bit a lip balm and they applied alot better plus looked better on the lips :)  
I also found them non drying while wearing them which is always a bonus when it comes to matte lipstick they last pretty well too.  

For a £1 lipstick these perform pretty well for a matte lipstick.  I think If you are not into deep matte shades or if you are trying to introduce yourself to matte lipsticks they are perfect for you.  Me?  They will not replace my favourite matte lippies but they are a not a no no for me either after all they are super affordable and handy to have for an everyday lipstick :)

Lush Emotional Brilliance Liquid Lipstick in Passionate

Hey my beauties How are you all doing today :) 

Today I have a Lush post for you all.  

My good reliable friend was in Lush Last week again and rang me asking me what I wanted I was super excited and said surprise me but make sure there is something make-up wise in it as I have never tried make-up by Lush  :) 

When I got the bag in my hand I couldn't wait to see what I got in my goody bag.  

So Along with Shampoo bars and bath bombs there with this very bright shaded Lipstick :) 

If you were not in the blogging world you would probably wonder what this was at first.  

The packaging actually reminds me of eye drops or something like that :)

I have always wanted to try these from the moment I seen them released.  At Lush you can actually get a colour reading done so that they can match you up with shades thats are suitable for you.  

So what are the Lush Emotion Brilliance Liquid Lipsticks 

The Liquid Lipsticks are a Very Very intensely pigmented lip cream that leaves your lips feeling smooth and soft and moisturised but at the same time giving your lips a whole lease of life for the whole day :) 

The lipsticks contains ingredients such as jojoba oil, candelilla wax and rose wax.  

Jojoba oil:  is especially designed to cure chapped dry lips 

Candelilla wax:  Creates a gloss on the lips and makes the lipstick more water resistant 

Rose Wax:  Creates a barrier of moisture to the lips :) 

Each lipstick comes in a glass container which might I add is 100% recyclable and costs €17.00 which at first seemed pretty steep in price to me until i started to use it for myself and to be honest this lipstick is surely going to last a very very very long time.  Even longer than most high end lipsticks out there.  

You are getting 5g of product for that price too which is good enough for me.  

There are 14 Shades to choose from So my friend along with the help of the lovely ladies at Lush in Grafton Street chose Passionate for me :) 

This is a bright fuchsia pink with blue undertones :)  Doesn't it look amazing :) :) 

The shade or should I say the name Suits me down to the ground because I am a very passionate person and feel strongly about a lot of things in my life.  I am strong minded and It has been said by others that my passion for things shines bright.  As you can see this is a well suited name for this lipstick.  Its strong, bold and bright I love it :) Its Looks really well with my warm complexion and I literally don't need any other makeup on me while wearing this as it looks fantastic on its own 

Overall I found this lipstick to apply really really handy with the doe foot applicator it leaves it easier to apply evenly.  My lips did feel smooth and soft wearing this and not once did I feel it dry out my lips. There is no sticky feeling to it at all.  It feels so so light  After it wears off a little I found it leaves a stain effect which also looks beautiful.  I only had to reapply the once through the day after eating and drink to keep the intensity but you could get away with not reapplying and still have a tint on your lips.  So I think its worth €17?  100% Because as I said before you would spend the same amount on another higher end lipstick which wont last as long as this lipstick.  I plan on getting another shade soon in fact and I cant wait to share it with you :)

My Beauty Addiction Lipsticks in "Passionfruit" & "Candy Baby"

Hello my beauties How are you all doing today :) 

The sun is shining again in Ireland happy days :)

There is a little story behind my review today dont worry I wont bore you to death with a huge intro. ;)

One day I was reading a blog post on Marias blog called Apage Love Designs (love her blog) This blog post was on a look she created even though her look was stunning I couldnt help but notice her lips more .  They looked absolutely amazing.  The shade was to die for and I just had to find out what it was.  I was presuming it was a high end product to be honest as it looked like one but when I found out it wasnt I was over joyed and went straight to the sight she got it from to buy it.  

The store is an etsy store which I never bought from before so I was even more excited to get purchasing.  

The store I purchased these products from is called My Beauty Addiction and to be honest the prices are very very affordable mind you if you order alot of products it will cost you on shipping outside of the US.  So be careful.  

Instead of getting one lipstick I opted for 2 as there is so much to choose from and I just could pass up getting the 2 that I picked.  

I absolutely love love love the packaging.  Its so girlie and exciting I have already been asked by many where i got my lipstick from just by the look of the packaging.  Looking at the photo they also look like they are heavy but they are not one bit in fact they are extremely light weight :) 

I am just in love.  

The price of these lipsticks are only €5.74/$7.50 each which in my eyes is a bargain price :) :) 

Maximum color payoff! Our Color Rich Lipstick is loaded with Vitamin E and Shea Butter for a nourishing lipstick that delivers maximum color. This is not a sheer color, or a lip tint. If you are looking for intense color rich lipstick this is for you

As i mentioned above I picked 2 lipsticks out of the lot, the one I seen on Maria's blog post which was "Passion Fruit" and the other I chose especially for the summer months which was "Candy Baby"

Passion fruit I instantly fell in love with before I got my hands on it but I was hoping it would suit me and my skintone.  Passion Fruit is surely a very vibrant lipstick and takes very little to cover you entire lips.  The Shade is a stunning Coral Pink and has a slight frosty finish in which I was a little worried as I am not a fan of frosty lipsticks but I love the finish of this one.  It compliments my skintone so much and When I posted up a "Messing" photo on facebook of my wearing it I was instantly asked what lipstick I was wearing So now you know :) here is a little reminder of the photo I am Talking about hahaha

I am in love with this shade and If you are like me and have a nice tan from the sun this lipstick will look even nicer on you I have to say Maria if you are reading the shade looks incredible on you hunny :) 

Next up is the shade I chose which is "Candy Baby" 

Candy Baby is a more lighter shade and actually has more of a frosty finish.  This is a light baby pink shade with silvery shimmers to it.  To be honest its not a favourite as its more frosty but looks stunning for night time looks.  You will surely get noticed wearing this shade for sure.  This would suit anyone of any skin tone.  It is a little sheerer than "passionfruit" which is perfect for me as that would be the only way I would wear this shade unless I am out on a night out but let me tell you if you are kissing anyone with this lippy on you will surely leave behind a little shimmer to remind them ;) 

The Consistency of these lipsticks are really nice.  They are more along the thicker than thinner side which means they last longer on the lips.  There is no scent off them so all of you lovely ladies out there who dont like the scented cosmetic lipsticks will love these.  They lasted about 4 hours on my lips before I felt I needed to top up a little but it is all depending on how many layers you apply too.  I love them and have had a few nice compliments while wearing them.  They are worth trying out especially "Passionfruit" its stunning

MUA Lipsticks in Shades 2, 6, 9 & 14 Review

Hello my beauties :) 

How are you all doing today :) 

I am looking out the window as I type this in my fluffy pjs and fluffy socks feeling all meh!!! The weather is not exactly what you call Spring time weather its more Winter with rain pelting against the window and the birds bearly able to stand on the branches with the wind.  Awww I think a nice cuppa hot chocolate and a chocolate eclair is on the menu for me hold on .........

Now that I am in a chocco happy mood lets get started on the review :) 

So you may already know I am no stranger to MUA's (Makeup Academy) £1 Lipsticks I have a more recent review on a shade called "Juicy" which I love and I have also a great love the MUA's Lip Booms they are amazing.  So I decided to go ahead and order 4 more shades in a sort of lucky dip way.  I normally google the shades but this time I just chose 4 for fun :) after all it was on the 50% sale they had a couple of months ago so it worked out I only paid 50p for them :) :) Happy days
The fact I have reviewed these already leaves me with just basically showing you the shades I got and then me telling you my experiences with them 
but to cut a long story short you are getting 3.8g of lipstick for £1 each these lipsticks are one of the most popular product sold by MUA So far I have had good experiences with these lipstick that is mainly the reason I went back for more :) So lets show you the shades I got :) 

Shade 2:  This is a lovely plummy pink shade with a satin finish.  Its very very pigmented and you would get away it applying one coat for a perfect everyday colour.  The more coats you put on the more pigmented it gets.  Applying this is like a dream is soft cream and feels really moisturising on the lips.  This shade would suit everyone including us fair Irish gals :) :) I love it :) 

Next up is a shade I wouldnt normal choose and will maybe only ever wear on a night out 

Shade 6:  I am not normally a fan of shimmery or frosty lipsticks both of which is the finish of this lipstick.  Even though the shade is so so pretty and the shimmers in the lipstick does look good on the lips its a beautiful pinky shade and perfect for summer time but I only see myself ever reaching for this maybe on a night out its a bit much in my eyes but some of you might like the look of it on the lips.  The texture is lovely and creamy and you do not feel the shimmers on the lips but I found when this wears off the shimmers stay put 

As I said it does look pretty but not my cuppa tea at all 
next shade is another shade I am not really loving 

Shade 9:  This is really not a favourite and to be honest I would reach for Shade 6 quicker than this one.  This is a very shimmery frost coppery brown shade very creamy soft and pigment but just not my shade or liking whatsoever here is the swatch of it for you guys out there who do like that sort of lipstick 

And last but not least 

Shade 14 "Bare":  Well I know alot of you will like this one :)  At first I thought this shade was going to make me look like death warmed up but It surprised me when I swatched it :)  This is a lovely peachy nude shade and yes its semi-matte an extra bonus :)  This is smooth and creamy and very pigmented what I do find with this lipstick is that you surely have to ex-foliate and moisturise your lips before applying this as I have found it to slide a little if I don't.  as you will see in the photo a little of what I mean but its a stunning shade and lipstick for those smokey eye days/nights.  

The one thing I will advise you when shopping on the MUA Site for lipsticks is please google for swatches before hand so that you do not be disappointed with the shade.  You will not be disappointed with the lipstick itself but the shades are hard to judge from the site.  
Over all I got 2 shades I love and 2 shades I don't but I took a risk purposely and Its beneficial in some ways as I still get to show you all what the shades are like

#28 Days of Kisses *Day 8 Lipstick Tag

Hey everyone how are you all doing today :) :) 

Today is Day 8 of the Lipstick Tag aka 28 Kisses :) :) 

Todays choice of lipstick is not only a stunning for when you want to emphasis your lips and wear little to no makeup on your eyes but its also a stunning lipstick to wear on a Romantic night out ;) aka Valentines :) 

Again I have alreasy reviewed this lipstick but I have to say the more I wear it the more fascinated i am with it :) So much so I have bought 2 back ups of it just incase there is every a day where the company who sells it decides to take it off the market (shivers to think)

This lipstick is surely a lipstick that will get you noticed, that will turn heads and of course not break the bank I tell you :) 

So what lipstick am I talking about your asking 

Its the MUA Lip Boom In Bring It 

As I said above i have already reviewed these in detail if you want to check that out click here.  The one part I am more loving lately is the lipstick itself.  

This lipstick is 100% matte.  Its a fantastic seductive red with blue undertones.  I just love this as I said the more I wear it the more in love I am with it.  I used to be "Afraid" of reds but since trying this I am no longer "Afraid".  

I dont know if the the blue undertone against my warm skin tone that makes it look even better or its just the pure goodness of this lipstick but I know for sure when I wear it I get complimented on it all the time.   

For a deep pigmented colour especially red its so so easy to apply and glides on like a dream.  

Even though this is matte its not at all drying and it lasts so so long on the lips as it sort of stains the lips.  If you wear this on a night out you will surely get away with not topping it up :) 

dab a bit of highlighter on the centre of your lips and girlies you have the most seductive kissable looking lips ever :) 

The picture doesnt even do it justice and thats the truth :) 

For £3 from the MUA site you would be crazy to pass it :)

#28 Days of Kisses *Day 3 Lipstick Tag

Hey my beauties how are you all doing today?

Ok let me explain a little something something to you before I begin 

I of course am a little late with this series as thats what i get for not been near my laptop that much for the past few day but the wonderful Nykki from Nykki Talks Beauty has come up with a brilliant idea.  That some of us beauty bloggers take part together and post up 28 days of kisses aka 28 lipsticks in 28 days.  The moment i seen this post I thought YES I wanna do this.  I love lipsticks I kind of have a little addiction to them.  I just think they are amazing and even if you didnt have a full face of wearing a nice lippy brightens up your whole face I feel there is 2 things about your face thats always noticed 1) Your eyes and 2) You mouth/lips/teeth so why not emphasis them eh ?

So Nykki organised that the posts be this month as there is 28 days of the month and of course this the the LOVE Month :) a time where you will wear lipsticks even more for that special day.  

Plus it might give me a little wishlist of my own seeing everyone elses lips of the day (not that I need more but you can never have too many lipsticks) :) 

So Anyways I am going to start off with day 3 so I can run with the girlies but when this finished up I will make up for the 2 days I have missed by posting up something like Lips of the day or something like that oh im so excited 

Ok enough with the rambling lets get on with the Lips :) 

Todays lips are what I have been wearing Quite a bit lately especially with a dark smokey eye.  

Now I know that this particular brand is not available in some countries yet I think at the moment this brand is only available in EU countries but for some of you who can get their hands on the brand will be very interested in this shade as its a very near Dupe of Mac's Angel Lipstick :) :) ;)

 

There is 2 lipstick ranges from Catrice The Ultimate Colour Line which I absolutely love and adore, they come in a black tube like the picture above and then there is the The Ultimate Shine range which I am not a fan of They come in a silver tube.  These lipsticks are all part of the permanent range.  

These lipstick cost around 4.59 euro for 3.8g product which is a super amazing price for what you are getting :) 

Todays shade i am showing you I only recently purchased and I am in love with it :) 

The formula on these lipstick are incredibly smooth and soft.  They are creamy and so moisturising.  I have found even when you suffer with dry lips the formula does not settle into the lines and actually keeps your lips smooth and soft.  They glide on the lips without too much effort.  The formula reminds me so much of the Mac Lipsticks.  The pigmentation all depends on the shade in my eyes.  With this shade you will need about 2 layers to get the true shade.  

This is a stunning cool toned neutral pink shade and gives a satin finish.  It looks moisturising on the lips so you would not need to apply a gloss over it.  I absolutely love this shade with a smokey eye.  Some people might find this a little too light especially anyone with a medium to dark skin tone.  I highly recommend this lipstick if you are into bright pink shades or want that perfect lipstick for wearing with a smokey eye :) 

I find this lasting about 3-4 hours before a need to top up depending of course on eating and drinking. 

I will always and ever had highly recommended The Catrice Ultimate Colour lipsticks as I love them and think they are amazing for the price :) 

So thats it for today everyone.  I havent a clue what lippy to wear tomorrow but I think this is a great way to get the "Forgotten" lipsticks out to wear again :)

Wet n Wild Megalast Lip Color Lipsticks in Just Peachy, Mauve outta here & Think Pink

Hey Everyone How are you all doing :) 

I bet you are wondering what is in this bag eh?? 

Well its actually items I received from a swap with the lovely Shirley from Superhipmama :)  

I befriended Shirley through the bloggers world and we hit it off straight away.  She is a mum herself but loves everything beauty related she has just started making videos of her own and doing brilliantly with them.  She is also a certified Makeup artist.  So we got chatting one day after i posted up a review with some Catrice Make-up and she really wanted to try it out as Catrice is not available in America.  So we arranged this swap in which I was so happy to do as i had a few items on my wishlist that I cant get over here.  So we agreed to a price and got to work on getting the products.  This was about 3 months ago and now I can finally review all the items for you.  I am going to do separate posts as I dont want the post been too long and they deserve a separate post hehehe :) 

Shirley will be doing a review on the items I sent her too :) 

So the first Items I am going to review Is the Wet N Wild Megalast Lip Color Lipsticks

Oh i Love Wet n Wild Its an amazing brand and i hate the fact that its not available here :(  I love their eyeshadow palettes in which i have reviewed The Trios and the 8 Pan Eyeshadow  Palettes.  

I have had the pleasure of experiencing this lipstick before around the time i first started blogging I did a mini review on the shade and still to this day i love it it was the shade "bare it all" which is a fantastic nude lipstick. 

So i just had to try more shades.  

Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.

Imagine there are 26 different shades to choose from so there is bound to be a shade for every skin tone isnt that amazing and whats more amazing is that these lipsticks cost about $2.99 depending on what store you get them from thats 2.30 euros each BARGAIN!!!!

Lets Start off with the Shades I Got 

This is the one I was most excited about trying as i seen quite a few reviews on it :) 

This shade is bright and cheerful.  Its a warm toned Peachy/Coral shade.  The finish is a Matte finish. 

Next up is.......

Now this shade is perfect for Fall/Autumn I Love it.   This is alot cooler toned than Just Peachy :) Its a stunning Pinky/Purple shade and I found this had more of a satin matte finish.  I love this shade and I found it worked brilliantly with my skin tone :) 

And Lastly......

This one i am afraid is my least favourite out of the 3.  Its a little pale so anyone with a pale complexion might find it a little light.  Its more of a bubblegum pinky shade.  i have found this to be very very pigmented and works better on my when applied lightly it looks stunning.  Another thing i found with this shade is that its quite thick compared to the rest and a little powdery looking as its matte but with a little gloss on top or balm underneath this shade works wonderfully 

I Absolutely love these.  The fact that these are almost matte they are amazing.  They are creamy and very pigment a little goes a long long way with them.  Ok the packaging isnt exactly what you can fantastic but what do you expect for the price its more about the product anyway.  They claim to last 4 hours well its true i found they did last but to be honest i prefer the lip balm before applying rather than wearing them on their own.  If you have dry lips the lipstick will surely emphasis that if you dont moisturise your lips.  

I love the Just peachy and the Mauve outta here.  The Think Pink is a little hard work but worth i at the end of it all.  

If i was to pick out a con for these I would say the packaging will get messy.  The fact that the lipstick is creamy you will find yourself making a little mess while applying to your lips but a little wipe of tissue and its al fixed :) 

All i can say is you got to try them really for the price they are the best Lower price lipstick i have ever tried thats for sure :) 

I will certainly be purchasing some more shades in these for sure :)
