The Body Needs Crush Pot Pressed Eyeshadow Review Part 2

Hey my beauties How are you all doing today :) 

Its Monday and the kiddies are gone back to school after a 2 week break and not a moment too soon if you ask me lordy how bored does kids get after a few days off school is unreal.  They never seem to be entertained too long with what they have which is alot more than what i had when i was a kid aka Nintendo ds's, dvd's, phones, bikes, go-carts etc the list goes on and on but no thats not entertaining enough lol I think its just routine they are very quick to get used to school time and play after school but having a full day of free time seems to get to them alot lol :)  They baffle me sometimes :) 

Anyways sorry I im babbling on with the review :) 

YES I DID IT AGAIN I got more of  the Crush Pot Pressed Eyeshadows from the body needs website.  I just couldn't resist the tempting 40% at the time and seeing as I have a good experience with the last batch i got I just had to buy more for my collection :)

• This means they fit perfectly into a MAC Palette :) 
• They are about 2g of product each
• They are magnetic and will stick to any palette with a magnetic plate but if you were to place these in a MAC palette you will have to purchase the magnet separate in which you can get them here from the body needs website they only cost $1.99

So let me go ahead and show you the shades I chose this time around :) 

Troubled Tart:  On the site this is described as a Burnt Frost Rose Shade.

Wow is this shade beautiful.  I love using this in the crease and on the bottom lash line when wearing a brown smokey eye.  It shade is so easy to work with and very very pigmented its soft creamy and needs very little to achieve the look you want with it :) top marks for sure on this one :) 

Blackened Maroon:  I Love these blackened shades I have quite a few from the last haul and i love them :) they are great to use at night especially.  

Oh this shade is AMMMMAAAZING!!!!!! I love it :)  Its not only pigmented soft and creamy it looks stunning even on its own :)  This is a black purple brown shade with sparkle 

Tricked:  This is a stunning bronzed brown it would put you in the mind of Half Baked from the Naked palette only a little on the darker side :)  Let me tell you now this shade is pigmented you would actually get away with wearing no primer with this its stunning and so easy to work with I love it :) 

Blue Brown Sparkle:  This is described as a deep rusty brown that reflects green, brown and silver sparkle.  Hmmmmm Nice shade not so nice to work with to be honest.   I have tried this on its own and its just way too chalky for me its a no no for me but if any of you all out there has this shade and know how to make it work let me know :) because I find it stunning and unique :) With a primer it does work a little better as I will show you the difference in a picture below 

Goddess:   A Very sparkly Gold.... Again this shade is very very chalky but alot easier to work with than Blue Brown Sparkle..... With a primer this looks stunning its not as creamy as the others but maybe that because of the extra sparkle in it :) 

Love it :) 

Tropic Heat:  I love the name :) so so suits the eyeshadow..... As described a mid-toned rose with copper sparkle...... I know You would get confused when you look at the pan it looks like a copper shade with gold sparkles and it sure surprises you when you swatch it thats for sure......This is another chalky shade and will need a primer for it to work but its so so pretty and again unique I dont have a shade like this and I love that :)  

Autumn:  This is a matte light brown shade with a red undertone.  This is is lovely but takes alot to coax out of the pan :( Mattes are usually hard to work with anyway even with a primer it takes a good few applications before you get any colour pay off.  I do like to use this mostly as a day time eyeliner in which i dampen my brush to use and it works perfect that way :) 

Vampy:  A Deep Matte Maroon shade.  Again because its matte its hard to work with but a little better than Autumn.  This shade is just beautiful perfect autumn shade :) aswell as that its perfect for a smokey eye.  

Mosi:  This is a deep matte teal shade :) I thought this would be a great shade for a pop of colour to a smokey eye.  This turns out to be light a dusty and looks fab on the lid.  Again a hard shade to work with but is beautiful once applied :) 

Obscene:  A Deep Pink Purple with silver shimmer.  Boy oh boy is this pigmented.  It only needs the tiniest amount to do the whole lid.  A stunning shade and really makes my hazel eyes pop.  It can be a little chalky but not enough to give out about I love this shade :) :)

Over all of course I love these eye-shadows I think they are amazing value For what you are getting.  The Mattes on the other hand are best left alone in my opinion as they are just too hard to work with but if you wanted mattes there is pigments of each shade available so you could easily opt for that :)  That's what I intend on doing in my next future purchase.  

What I love about these is that they fit into most palettes especially the UNII Palette in which I have filled up with just The Body Needs Crush Pot eye-shadows :) :)

Monday Makeup: Paddy's Day Look :)

First of all let me begin with showing you my kiddies St Patricks Day looks lol

They were so so cute that day as they alway are :) :) 

As You all know St Patricks Day (paddy's day not Pattys) is a huge thing in Ireland :) 

Especially with kids :) 

The more done up they are they better so they had their hair sprayed 

Tatto's (not real ones of course) on their faces 

Cool T-shirts and hats for the day :) 

Now of Course mammy has to take part too :) 

So here is my look for the day :) 

Of course my hair had to be a little on the messy I had just washed it and it went a little cray cray while getting the kiddies ready the joys of motherhood eh?

So I have decided to take part in this new thing called Makeup Monday where everyone shares a look they have created in the week and share what they created :) 

I really want to get involved in this one because to be honest its giving me a kick in the ass to start showing looks (even if they are not professional) as some of you might actually like them plus I have been asked so so so many time when I am going to start doing tutorials as you are liking the looks I post up on my facebook page.  I suppose in some sense its sort a confidence thing as I am self teaching and have learned alot and got a little more confident in creating looks but feel I am just not 100% confident enough to do tutorials yet so maybe this might be what will get me started :) 

Now Makeup Monday doesnt have to be just on looks created it can be about anything even reviews but I have taken it into my head its for looks created so that it will give me the inspiration to share looks I have tried out :)   If you want to get involved click the Makeup Monday picture on my side bar or click here 

So the look of the day is of course consisting of greens :) 

I love greens but find it hard sometimes to wear them as some greens do clash with my eye colour which is hazel 

So the eyeshadows I used are from two different palettes 

One from My Coastal Scents Fall Palette I got ages ago 

and some from my made up palette of the crush pots from The body needs 

After Priming my lid 

• I applied the top left shade which is a matte cream shade all over lid up to the brow bone 
• Then I mixed the top right shade which is a frosty champagne and the bottom 3rd shade which is a stunning gold together and applied that to the first inner 1/3 of the lid 
• and lastly from this coastal scents palette I took that stunning minty green shade with golden shimmers the first shade on the 2nd row and applied it to the centre of the lid and to the bottom lash line 
• For blending out any harsh lines i simply used the matte cream shade on the top row
• Going to my Unii Palette which i filled with my the body needs crush pot eyeshadows 

• I applied the Last shade "Blackened Emerald" which is a sunning emerald green with black undertones I applied most of the shade to the outer corner and blended out into the crease this is an absolute stunning shade :) 
• lastly I applied the 2nd shade "Blackened Teal" to the outer V and outer 1/3 of my bottom lash line 
• And I blended altogether :) 

I applied my current favourite gel liner by Catrice cosmetics and then decided the shadows were not shimmery enough ;) so I got my NYX Candy glitter Eyeliners out and chose the obvious one for this look :) "Jade Green" and applied that over the eyeliner on my top lash line ;) 

My camera really doesnt do this look justice but its to give you an idea of what it looked like as the lighting was so dull due to typical Irish weather its the best i could do :) plus i had 4 kiddies pulling out of me to hurry up so we could go to the parade while i was taking the photos lol

The Body Needs Crush Pot Pressed Eyeshadow Review

Hey My Gorgeous Readers how are you all doing today :) :) 

Thanks so much to everyone so far who has bought from my Blog Sale.  I am so glad that all these goodies are going to someone who will use them see the problem is i have too much of everything and it took me a while to finally give them up you know the way it is "I will use this eventually, oh i cant get rid of that its such a lovely colour, oh i love this even though you have 3 or 4 of the same one" lol but its got to the stage I felt bad and didn't want them going to waste :)  There is more to put up on my blog sale I just gotta get up and say "LET IT GO!!!" they should be up this week 

Anyway back to the review :) So about 4 months ago The Body Needs website was doing a big sale of 40% off everything and I took the Plunge to stock up of their Crush pots which i have seen a few reviews about.  For more information about the company check out their facebook page.  My all time favourite makeup artist/blogger Jansara  (I Love this girl love love love her she is amazingly talented just love her) in particular has done stunning looks with these eyeshadows and she states she loves them so that says alot.

So I went a little crazy on this offer and got 9 shades in total 

I was well impressed with how these arrived as you can see by the above photo they come in a plastic covering with each eyeshadow labelled at the bottom.  The best thing about this packaging is if you didn't have a palette to transfer them to you can simply leave them in these and just re-close them when your done using them.  

So let me show you these beautiful shades i bought before you burst lol 

BELLADONNA

This is available in pigment and crush pot.  So this is explained on the site as a Subdued Smokey Brownish Purple with Fuchsia Shimmer this was the first to my list for sure as i thought it would be a unique shade :)  

This is a fantastic shade i absolutely love it like what's not to love....... 

To Me I don't really see the brown in it.  Maybe the brown is the darkened undertone but to me that looks more black than brown.  

This shade is fantastic and you can certainly see the fuchsia shimmer which is so so tiny :)  This is silk, smooth and so so easy to work with.  Its very easy to blend and even looks fantastic as an eyeliner for a pop of colour I love it  Very highly pigmented :) 

BLACKENED TEAL

This is available in Pigment, crush pot and an eyeliner from the site.  The Body needs Describes this shade as a deep black with teal shimmer and they are 100% on this oh my word this shade is fantastic and again very soft and creamy and so easy to blend a little goes a long way was you can imagine it is very very pigmented 

BLACKENED TURQUOISE 

This is available in both pigment and pressed.  This is described as a deep black with turquoise shimmer.  Compared to Blackened teal you can see more black than teal whereas with this eyeshadow you can see more of the turquoise which i love love love.  This again is a fantastic eyeshadow to work with a little goes a long long way and its so easy to blend the shimmers in this is so tiny it makes the eyeshadow look more metallic.  

A Stunning shade without a doubt one of my favourites :) 

STEAL THE NIGHT 

Available in pigment and crush pot.  This is explained to be a flat black matte.  You can imagine how excited i was to get this one :) :) hmmmmmm not so excited when i swatched it though :(  My expectations were a little high i think .  When swatched about 20 times over and over it does look jet black and matte but you really have to work hard to get colour payoff with this .  The only way is to use a damp brush.  Obviously the pigment will work better for this shade.  

BLACKENED VIOLET 

This is available in pigment, crush pot and gel liner.  Described as a deep black with violet shimmer.  This is Fantastic but the only thing i found was that it was harder to work with than Blackened Teal and Blackened Turquoise as to having to tap on the product for the shade to appear.  Its not as hard to work with as Steal the Night.  You can build the colour up and with a good primer this is a fantastic shade :) 

BLACKENED IRIDESCENCE

This is available in pigment and crush pot.  Oh the excitement i got when i swatched this shade :) I am not really one who likes too much glitter in eyeshadows to be honest and this eyeshadow surely has glitter.  The glitter in this is fine but a little bigger than the rest of the shadows but believe me you dont feel it at all and the amazing thing is this is STUNNING I love this shade and the black is jet black 

BLACKENED BRONZE

This is available in a pigment and crush pot.  This is described as Deep Black with bronze shimmer and boy is it that oh you will love this shade its amazing.  This surely makes my hazel eyes stand out i will love using this especially for this season as its perfect for Autumn.  Again this is so soft and so pigment and most of all easy to work with Love it 

BLACKENED EMERALD

This is available in pigment, crush pot and gel liner :)  Deep Black with Emerald Shimmer.  Oh Saint Paddies day here I come hehehe i just had to get this shade just look at it :) :) Its stunning.   To be honest i fell in love with this shade before i even got it into my hands and i was hoping i wouldnt be disappointed when i did but i have to tell you I fell even more in love :)  The Emerald shimmer is so intense you barely see the black underneath :) brilliant as a shadow brilliant as an eyeliner :) 

BLANC

This is available in pigment and crush pot.  This is a pure white and its matte :)  I was excited about this one as i dont have a pure matte white in my collection but sadly my excitement was dampened :( I am sure the pigment is very very pigmented but the crush pot was not for me.  I found it extremely hard to swatch it never mind using it .  The swatch did not even come up on my arm.  It felt like it was too pressed in on the pan I even tried scraping it and it still wouldn't work out for me.  

I decided with the swatches I would very lightly swatch the first one without primer to show you how pigmented they are.  Steal the night i had to swatch alot just to show up and Blanc just would not swatch for me :( 

Overall these are an absolute amazing buy.  For $3.75 which is about 3 euro each these i can honest compare to MAC eyeshadow .  They are just as pigmented, just as soft, just as pleasurable to use and of course last just as long.  I am loving the blackened collection and there is alot more to try out.  In all i will surely be buying more to build up on my collection.  I have placed these eyeshadows in one of my empty UNII Palettes i own which i love as they fit brilliantly in it :) 

These eyeshadows are also available in sample sizes so you can try before you buy.  I also got some Mac samples from the site mostly Mac Lipstick samples as i wanted to see what the lipsticks are like on me to have an idea because to be honest they are not cheap to buy and i thought it would be better knowing exactly which one would suit rather than buy the wrong shade a lose out.   Now i bet you are all wondering how much shipping is....well to be honest that depends on where you are and also how much but shipping started off for Ireland at $6.95 but it depends on how crazy you get shopping on the site lol :)
