Physicians Formulas Shimmer Strips Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio for Blue Eyes

Hey Beauties I hope you are all well :) :)
As you all know by now Ireland has been brilliant lately by bringing in some much needed new brands into our country.  Ones we have been dying to get our hands on :)
First it was NYX Cosmetics then it was Wet N Wild and now Physicians Formula :)  Eeeeek Exciting I know I know :)
I have tried some Physicians Formula products before as you know and have to say really liked what I tried.
So I was super excited to the the Shimmer Strips Kohl Kajal Eyeliners.

Described as :   Highly pigmented inner rim eyeliner trio delivers rich color and instant drama.  Versatile eyeliner for eye enhancing definition and inner eye rim intensity.  Super- smooth gliding texture makes defining eyes effortless.  Apply eyeliner at the base of upper lashes and on inside of lower eye rim for ultra-dramatic definition. Layer shades together for endless looks.
Each eyeliner trio costs €16.90 which works out at €5.60 each
Not bad if they are a good deal eh?  Each eyeliner has 2.7g of product

I do remember these eyeliners when they first came out and they came in a better packaging.  Whereas they come in a less exciting packaging but hey its not all about the packaging right ?!

The eyeliner themselves are quite cute and lightweight.  They are each colour coded so its easier to find what shade you are looking for.  What I was a little disappointed with was the eyeliner itself.  What you see in the cap is what you get as in product wise.  There is no twisty bottom nothing this is it.  But of course we cant judge on what we see as I thought to myself maybe you need very little to use :)

Another thing is sharpening the product is quite difficult as you will be wasting alot of it to form a pointy edge so basically if you do not sharpen you will have to use this either as an eyeshadow cream once the pointy edge is worn down or use a separate eyeliner brush to use the liner.

So let me show you the shade close up :)  Remember these eyeliners are especially for blue eye but anyone with any shade of eyes can use these.  I in fact used these on someone last week who had brown eyes :)

This was the more exciting shade of the pack for me.  This shade is a deep royal blue with silver shimmers.  Very creamy and pigmented.  What I did find with this shade was that if used on oily lids and as an eyeshadow base it can crease.  I adore the shade.  Its a great eyeshadow base for sure and will not crease once used sparingly and set with a powder.

Next up is your typical black.  This black contains tiny shimmers of silver.  I have to admit you need to build this shade up to get an intense black but this is surely a handy number when creating a smokey eye.  I have also tried this on my waterline and can report that it will move if you have sensitive eyes unless you set it with a powder eyeshadow :)

and lastly is

This is a deep chocolate brown with shimmer.  This again is very pigmented very creamy and a little goes a long way.

Over all I am 50/50 about this there is a mixture of pros and cons so to shorten it all :)

Pros
They are affordable
you get 3 shades to choose from
They are very creamy
Can be used as liner and eyeshadow base
They are long lasting once set with powder
They are buildable

Cons
What you see is what you get in the amount of product
If you lean too hard on the nib you will break the entire liner off
They can crease if used on their own
They are not great on the waterline unless you set it with powder

Over all they are worth trying but its depending on what you want to use them for.  I love using these as an eyeshadow base more than and eyeliner.  They are great from creating a smokey eye look.  As for lasting power unless you set these you are going to find they will fade quite quickly.  Paying the price for all 3 is not bad but to be honest I would much rather buy these seperately so I can shoose my own shades.  In each trio there is already a black so if you wanted to buy all trios you are going to end up with alot of black eyeliners.
Have you tried these yet ?
Whats your thoughts on them :)
Here is a picture of the Lovely Sarah aka Adoreabubbles who asked me to do her makeup last week and I could help but use the blue eyeliner from Physicians Formula to see what it was like on her.  I of course set it with an eyeshadow the same shade and it looked fantastic on her (please note I forgot to bring my camera with me and used my photo to take photos so it looks a little orangey as it was also night time )

I hope you found this review helpful.
Until Next Time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter

hmmm I am also a bit dubious about these, that they have to be set with powder is a bit of a bummer.

They look lovely on you. It is a shame we don't get this in the UK. xxxx

Ahh I'm so jelly! Wet n Wild and Physicians Formula are so hard to get hold of in the UK.

These shades are absolutely gorgeous and the packaging looks super easy to hold and use...just like a paint brush :D

I don't know whether these are meant to be good or bad, but to me there doesn't seem to be a lot of product if all you get is what you can see?

I personally am not a fan of these kind of liners, because I find them hard to use. But the colors are nice though :)

Lovely shades but I would have hoped for more product on such a big stick x

These look like such pretty shades but I'd be kinda disappointed at how little product you get, I'm always snapping eyeliners so I doubt they'd last long! I'm not a fan of setting liner with powder in my waterline, either, so these probably aren't for me.
