Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel Review

Hello beauties :)
I am sure alot of you there have been itching to change your skincare routine since those cold wet day came creeping in on you.  I know I have and to be honest I have also noticed a huge change in the way my skin looks and feels :(  Sad to say my skin looks dull pasty and what more I have been prone to breakout alot lastly which I have never really experienced before.  Giving that I also noticed my poor pre-teen daughter who is 12 that she is not only suffering alot with breakouts but they are red and sore looking too.

So Today I come to you with a brand new product that both me and my daughter has been trying out for the past couple of weeks.  I really wanted to test out this product properly so I can give you an indept review.  Not only that but I have asked my daughter for her take on this too as she has acne prone skin and sensitive skin

Before I get down to the review let me tell you a little about the company Oskia which I have to say I found very very interesting.  Georgie Cleeve the founder of Oskia.  She had an skiing accident years ago that damaged a Cartilage in her knee and she was one of the first to witness what MSM (which is a chemical found in plants, animals, and humans or also known as as the "Beauty Mineral)  can do for her as it She experienced a phenomenal response to the MSM and her cartilage repaired more than any surgeon had thought possible. But what had been less expected was a major improvement in the symptoms of her rosacea and acne together with striking benefits to her complexion and the condition of her hair and nails.
The concept based on one exceptional mineral soon evolved into a nutritional approach harnessing all the essential nutrients - minerals, vitamins, proteins, essential fatty acids - that are critical to skin health and performance.
OSKIA’s formulations are designed by Georgie and a team of internationally - recognised nutritionists, doctors, dermatologists and skincare experts.
For more fascinating information on what MSM can actually do for us click here you will be amazed

What I like about this company is that they are honest.  Even though they try to use at least 98% of natural ingredients they do state that they only use products that work for people.  Sometimes that might not all be natural but they do their best to have at lease the majority of natural ingredients.  They state they will only use ingredients that are scientifically proven to work and not for their natural and organic status.
Ok I think That is enough information :) :)
Now for the product itself

First of let me cover who this Cleansing gel is suitable for :)
  • Anyone who has Dull skin
  • Dry, oily and Combination Skin
  • Anyone who suffers with Pigmentation
  • Anyone with Acne Scars
  • Blemished skin
It does of course recommend that if you suffer with oily skin that you use this product with a muslin cloth for better use and benefits :) :)

What are the benefits of this product on your face?
Well Oskia states :  The original gel-oil cleanser.
  • Deeply cleanses pores.
  • Removes makeup and daily grime.
  • Thoroughly removes dull and dead skin cells without irritation for a balanced complexion.
  • Improves the appearance of sun damaged, dry and mature skin to reveal soft, supple texture.
  • Fortifies and protects the skin against free radical & environmental damage.
  • Improves elasticity & firmness.
  • Enhances the lipid barrier to soften and nourish.

The packaging is fairly simple and plain which is brilliant as I like that in products that have good promises it means that they have concentrated more on the product rather than the packaging.

What impressed me about this is the pump.  Its super thick and sturdy and pumps out just enough product to do the entire face.

This is described as a cleansing gel which is true.  The rosey coloured gel is quite thick when first squirted from the bottle.  From the moment you squirt the gel out you can smell the Rose & Chamomile which is not strong but smells absolutely beautiful.  As mentioned above the consistency of the gel at first is thick but as you spread the gel around your face and neck it melts to a balm like substance.  As you continue to massage this into your skin the gel feel more like a light oily substances.  The directions say to apply this on dry skin, then wet your finger tips and continue to massage.  That exactly what I do and I notice the gel turn to a milky consistency.   The scent gets a little stronger and smells divine :) :)
I do this for about a few minutes and then rinse with warm water I instantly feel my skin is clean soft and fresh.  Then I take a look at the water in the sink and I instantly see that it has taken whatever is left on my face (after taking off my makeup) right off leaving me squeaky clean.  I feel my skin is not stripped completely from its natural oils or feels extremely dehydrated like some cleansers do which is a plus from me.

So have I noticed a difference in the last couple of weeks in my skin??
Yes I surely have my skin does feel very smooth and soft and feels spotless every time I use this.  I am sure some of you who follow me on face book remember I was complaining of having break outs quite a bit in the past few weeks?  Well I can safely say that my break outs have cleared out alot since using this :)
For me this has been nothing but a pleasure to use but lets see what my daughter thinks shall we :) :)

This is Becky's statement word for word:
"Using This cleansing gel is so so easy for me.  I literally apply it to my dry skin massage it in making sure to massage it onto my forehead which is where I break out the most.  My forehead is covered in acne at the moment and its extremely embarrassing especially when the spots are very red and sore.  I wet my hand and continue to massage the cleanser into my skin.  What I do notice with this cleanser is that it does not sting my face which some cleansers or face washes do to my face especially when I have a big breakout.  I also find when I rinse this off and pat my skin dry that my spots are not irritated.  I feel my skin is soft and very clean.  I love the smell of this cleanser alot.  Sometimes I can be lazy when washing my face but since using this cleanser I have  been washing my face every morning and every night for they past 2 weeks without my mam telling me.  I really like it."

Becky also has said to me that she noticed her spots are lessening in the two weeks she has been using the cleanser and I have to admit I have noticed an improvement too :)

So there you have it thumbs up from the both of us :) I really hope you found this review informative.
Have you tried this cleanser yet?
This cleanser is available to buy from Space.NK , Oskia Website  , Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty Prices do vary between £24-£28/€30-€34 for 100 mls of product :)  which is something people do find hard to part with unless the product is actually good including myself but I can safely say its well worth the price if you want to treat yourself to a good effective cleanser that you are going to visibly see make a difference.

Until Next time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter

You are always so detailed, thanks. This looks like a product I need to try. I didn't realize that MSM also helps with wrinkles! YEAH,
