Cover Girl Flamed Out Mascara

Hello my gorgeous beauties 
How are you all today :) 
Todays review is on my current mascara I am using.  I recieved this mascara in a swap with the lovely Shannon From The Creation of Beauty :) She lives in America and I told her I never really tried Cover girl so she sent me this Mascara.  
Correct me if I am wrong but This Mascara roughly costs about $6 to buy and was only released last year 
Cover Girl Flamed Out Mascara comes in 2 types Waterproof and Non Waterproof I have Non Waterproof.  
The Shades available are :
Very Black Blaze (this is the shade I have)
Black Blaze 
Black/Brown Blaze 
Brown Blaze
Cover Girl Promises:  This is a  mascara that provides maximum volume to create a bold, winged-out look. The unique wire brush coats your lashes and curves them up and out. 

The Packaging I love and its very easy to find amongst my crazy amount of unused mascaras in my draw lol 
The brush on the other hand you will either love or hate.  Sometimes when I am in a hurry I hate it as it is an hourglass shape and can be a little big.  There are mascaras out there with hourglass shape that are bigger so I would class this as a medium sized compared to others.  I do find when using this mascara in a hurry it can create a little mess but when I am careful I have actually learned to love the brush as it does separate every lash and helps me get every lash covered even the small ones.  
I did find at the beginning I made a mess on my lids until I got used to the brush itself after 2 or 3 uses and in all honesty it really does the job.  I like that every time I take the brush out of the tube it does not gather too much of the mascara in one go it has enough to do the two eyes :) 

I really really like the formula of this mascara and the more you use it the more you will like it.  Sometime when I buy I new mascara The formula can be a little too wet and can create clumpy lashes after two coats but with the Cover Girl Mascara it didn't do that.  I was really impressed with the finish after two coats my lashes looked incredible full and black.   
It certain does what it claims by giving me volume Two coats of this little beauty gives me incredible volume after 3 coats you might as well me wearing falsies :) 
I was asked the other day What falsies I was wearing I told them I wasn't I was wearing this mascara :) here is a before and after picture of my lashes after 2 coats :)   It holds my curl for the whole day.  Below is a photo of my lashes before and after 2 coats For a closer look click on the photos :) :) 

This mascara has surely impressed me :)  Its super black, smudge proof and doesn't budge until I take it off.  It hasn't effected my eyes at all and so far there is no flaking after using it about 2 and half months.  I expect this should last me another month before it dries up on me but i will keep you updated :)  For a $6 mascara you cant pass this by without trying it :) :)

Cocoa Brown Tan Spring Launch Party 2014

Well Hello There Everyone How are you all today :) 

Last night I have the privilege to attend the Cocoa Brown Tan Spring Launch Party in the Vintage Cocktail Bar (VCC) in Dublin 

I have to say it was one of the best Launches I have been to in a while.  From the moment I entered the VCC I could feel a sense of warmth and felt very welcome.  The staff Of the VCC were extremely welcoming and very helpful.  

I will surely be going there again :) :) 

I was one of the first to arrive at the event and of course I was greeted by the lovely Cocoa Brown Team Marissa Carter of course full of smiles and looking absolutely stunning Stephanie and might I say her dress blew me away , she was very welcoming and full as smiles I felt like I knew her for a long time and Ashling also a beauty and very chatty from the word go I felt like I was catching up with friends more than anything :) :) 

The next thing i noticed was the amazing display that was over in the corner and wow oh wow it was like a princess corner.  I was in complete awwwww.  

Sugar & Spice - Dublin, Cakefield Avenue, Scarecrow Flowers All help achieve this beautiful display aswell as Cocoa Brown add their products on display for extra beauty.  

After having our chats we then sat down to make quite a difficult dicission ..... Which cocktail to pick from the wonderful selection on the list and the VCC were clever enough to name these cocktails related to Cocoa Brown I thought it was brilliant :) :) :) 

So of course I opted for the Lovely Legs Cocktail and It was absolutely beautiful and POWERFUL Wowzer :) :) 

It wasn't long before many other bloggers arrived and wow every last one of them looked amazing.  it was brilliant catching up with ones I have met on many occasions and even better getting chatting to ones who I have never met in person but follow their blogs.  I got chatting to the lovely Adorebubbles and met her lovely mum whom I have to say looks fantastic.  I also got chatting to Eimear Byrne and her dress and makeup looked beautiful.  Joanne Larby aka The Makeup Fairy.  Awww the list goes on and on their was so many there :) :) 

While we were all chatting away the lovely staff of VCC brought out some amazing refreshments Chicken Wings, mini desserts and these lovely finger foods

The atmosphere was amazing and to be honest it I didn't want to leave.  The time flew by and it was great talking to everyone especially about the excitement of Cocoa Brown Tan and their new releases.  I want to thank Cocoa Brown For inviting me and for organising the fabulous goody bag we got I am super excited to try their new products :)  I was totally surprised to find a voucher for a free cocktail from the VCC in which I will surely be using and its a great excuse to go back as its a beautiful place.  And lastly thank you to Penneys for the shocking voucher we got in our bags we all love Penneys and only today I was in to take advantage of the Spring sales.  

I Promise Promise Promise that I will have reviews up on these babies asap :) :)

Milani Illuminating Face Powders in Amber Nectar & Beauty's Touch

Hello my beauties I hope you are all doing good :) 

Well I have had a busy weekend that's for sure from preparing and attending my daughters confirmation to going to the Irish Beauty Show I haven't had time to sit and blog whatsoever.  Even with me been so busy I thought everyday about a particular product I MUST blog about and its a product I used for both occasions because I loved it do much and well now that i am back to normality once again and of course back blogging :) I can finally tell you about it.  

Today's review is on the Milani Illuminating Face Powders.  I have been eyeing these for a very long time now actually its been on my wishlist for at least a year and I have finally got them in my hands.  

There are 3 shades to choose from and I opted for the shades I thought I would use more Which is 01 Amber Nectar & 03 Beauty's Touch.  The other shade I did not get is 02 Hermosa Rose

Milani say An ultra-smooth blush, bronzer and/or highlighter gives skin a hint of color with a lit-from-within radiant healthy glow. It is suitable for all skin types and tones.

Each Face Powder costs about $9 which is so so affordable for 10g of product.  I got mine from the Cherry Culture Website. The package is pretty straight forward and actually really pretty.  The design of the blush is what I am more crazy about.  The shape reminds me of flowers and you are getting 3 different shades in which when used altogether creates a beautiful shade for your cheeks.  

Don't worry the flower shapes do not disappear from the moment you use it infact I have been using one of the shades nearly everyday for the past 2 weeks and the shapes are still there.  

Let me tell you now these face powders are going to open you eyes they did for me and I love one in particular I cant stay away from it :) :) 

Starting with 

01 Amber Nectar 

This is a stunning shade and I use this on days I am not fussed to use blush.  It doesnt give me much colour pay off.  This has a mix of shades a gone off white, a peach, a golden bronze shade and together give a peachy tan shade with shimmers 

This shade would be perfect for fair skinned people for sure you will just get the right amount of colour aswell as a stunning glow but for anyone darker you will just get the glow.  I do find if I build this up a little i will get a hint of colour but I have to be careful not to build too much as their is quite a bit of shimmer to it and can leave you looking like a disco ball.  The picture below is of all the shade together 

Next up is my favourite :) 

02 Beauty's Touch 

Wow this one has blown me away.  Its stunning to look at and stunning on the cheeks.  This shade has a mixture of a cream, baby pink, a light peach and a rosey shade together it gives the most beautiful pinky shade with a stunning glow.  I absolutely love the finish of this blush and am amazed with how healthy and refreshed it makes me look.  Its my current favourite blush/highligher at the moment.  

I use this in lot of different ways for a quick flush of colour I swirl my brush around and swipe across my cheeks for a more intense wash of colour I use a small blush brush and mix the two pinks together and for a separate highlight I use the cream shade.   The picture below is of all the shades together 

Both shades are beautiful but I have to say (if you havent already guessed) Beauty's Touch really has impressed me alot.  Even with building it doesnt look too shimmery.   I just cant seem to leave it down Normally i do not go for a bright pink blush but this really has won me over.  Both are perfect for the Spring and Summer months and look even better in photos :) If you like a nice glow to you cheeks you should pick up one of these :)

NYX The "IT" List Natural Lip Gloss Set :)

Hello my beauties I hope you are all well :) 

I have two questions for you!  1.  Are you a huge fan of NYX Cosmetics like I am?  and 2.  Are you a fan of natural lip colours?  Well this blog post is going to interest you big time.  

I was shopping around on the Cherry Culture website in January when they had the 50% off and I bought alot of nyx product including this lovely set 

NYX Cosmetics decided to put together  a combination of our best-selling lip gloss formulas in natural hues.  They put together a variety of textures and colours from sheer to dramatic for any look at any time :) 

Well I am a huge fan of Nyx lip products.  So far I have tried The Mega Shine Lip Glosses which I absolutely love love love and highly recommend I did a blog post on them about 2 years ago and still to this day use them :) :) 

I have also tried their Soft Matte Lip Creams which again I love and still use alot :)  Check out the shades I have here .  I have also tried their Xtreme Lip creams and Matte Lipsticks which are too in my love box :) 

So I was super excited to try some of their other lip products that I havent tried and I think the Idea of this set is great because it gives you the opportunity to find out which ones you like and prefer 

This set costs $20 altogether which is brilliant on its own because if you were to buy all 5 lip products on their own you would pay $28 altogether :)  But there is even better news :) :) Cherry culture are currently having a 40% off sale on everything on the site which means if you buy this set you are getting it for $12 even better !!!  I am currently trying to avoid that site because I know I will end up buying and I am on a ban for this week anyway but the sale ends on the 9th of this month :) :)  

So lets get started on the glosses :) :) 

Nyx Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee:  I have been wanting to try these butter glosses since they were released as I heard so many great things about them.  This Butter gloss is a sheer soft pink shade.  It is quick thick and feels very smooth on the lips.  This sort of reminds me of the Mega shine lip glosses.  The lasting power is about 2 hours before you feel a need to top up.  The sponge tip application is perfect which means you can apply anywhere even without a mirror.  It does feel a little sticky but nothing extreme I have actually been using this alot since i got it as its a perfect shade for smokey eye or everyday wear.  It looks beautiful in photos too :)  I love using this over any natural pink lipstick it really jazzes up the look 

Next up is :) 

Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Perfect:  Ah well I just love this gloss too much If you have not tried Mega Shine you have to try at least one and I guarantee you too will love them.  They feel amazing and look amazing and with 48 shades to choose from you will surely find your shade.  "Perfect" is a very sheer pink gloss with sparkles but not the type of sparkle that you can feel on your lips or that you are left with when the gloss wears off but the type of sparkle that will make your lips look plump.  Ok This shade may not be a favourite of mine but for a younger generation its perfect :)  My 12 year old daughter has already got her eye on this to wear to her confirmation this weekend :) 

Next Up is: 

Nyx Pump It Up Lip Plumper in shade Kim:  This I am less excited about to be honest I to be honest dont believe "Lip Plumper" lip glosses really work and in all honest I think any shiny gloss can make you lips look fuller and more attractive.  I found this gloss was very light in constancy and lasted only about an hour before it wore off.  The shade on the other hand is nice a natural a light peachy shade.  It would be perfect for everyday wear or with a smokey eye but would be a pain to reapply every hour or so.  

Next up is something I have already reviewed but will include in this review :) 

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp:  I am in love with these Soft Matte Lip Creams and absolutely adore this shade.  This is a beautiful pinky coral shade and is a perfect spring/summer shade and boy is this pigmented.  It feels smooth and soft on the lips and when dry on the lips still feels extremely comfortable and non drying.  Its lasts alot longer than a gloss and smells like vanilla love it :) 

and lastly 

Nyx Xtreme Shine Lip Cream in Natural:  This is said to be a lipstick, lipgloss and lipliner all in one package.  I have to admit this is less pigmented than a lipstick more pigmented than and gloss and surely doesnt act like a lipliner but if you are one who likes to add a little gloss on top of your lipstick this is surely something you have to try.  This pale pinky beige shade is perfect for the smokey eye looks and also for during the day.  Dont be fooled by the pigmentation of this lip cream as this is the lightest shade there are more intense shades and some fantastic shades to choose from I have 3 other shades if you want to take a look and they are fab :)

Overall I think Nyx did well with putting together this set.  It gives you an idea of how these glosses work and lets you play around with your more neutral lip looks.  Not only that but if you are new to the Nyx lip products you have a chance to try out 5 different lip products without breaking the bank even though the prices of each one of them is affordable enough your are practically getting one of these free when you buy the set.

I forgot to mention at the beginning if you are not totally into the natural look there is also another set Which is called "The Pinks".  The Pinks as you can guess contain a mixture of pinks and are more intense shades
