NYX HD Concealer Wand Review

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well
Todays review is on the NYX HD Photogenic Concealers :)
I have be dying to try this concealer out now for a very long time as I have heard so many great things about it.  I just never got around to trying it out until NYX became available in Ireland.  I liked the idea of buying these in person rather than online because that way I was able to tell which one would suit me better by swatching them.  Today I am going to show you 3 different shades of the NYX HD Concealer.  There are 12 different shades altogether in this concealer which is brilliant because you are guaranteed to find the shade suitable for you.  3 out of these 12 shades are different.  The 9 shades are from light to dark which is made suitable to match your skin tone

Then there are 3 different shades or should I say corrective concealers

One is green which is a concealer that cancels out redness in your skin
Yellow which is suitable for those dreaded dark circles under the eyes
Lastly there is purple which is used used to normalize yellow-coloured skin imperfections such as sallow complexions and yellow bruises. It can also help conceal very dark under-eye circles and dark spots on bronze skin tones.

For 3g of product you are paying only €6.99/$5 each not bad right?  but are they even worth the value read on to find out more :)

The packaging reminds me alot of my all time favourite concealer I use and that is the Collection Perfection Concealer.
This is a plastic tube like packaging which comes with a sponge tip applicator.
The sponge tip applicator is the perfect size for applying to the more difficult areas of the face : )

Let me show you the shades I chose :) and tell you what I thought of them all Starting with

Yellow is of course a concealer for covering up dark circles under the eyes :)  It is a brightener for those dark areas on your face which can still be seen under your foundation.  I suffer with dark circles and dark eyelids of course been a mum of 5 its a nightmare sometimes.  Yellow concealer is also great for evening out your skin especially when its dull.  I loke using this on my dark lids especially as it preps my eyes for my eye makeup look of the day.  Using this concealer on the lid means you will not have to use any other base for your eyeshadows :)  I think this is brilliant and if you do suffer with very dark circles this is definately an advantage to have even with your normal under eye concealer.  I have found that this is only medium coverage but it was enough to cover up my dark circles :)  Sometime my dark circles can be very very bad depending on how tired and stressed I am and I find if I add this to my normal under eye concealer its sorts me out brilliantly :)

Next up is an everyday concealer in shade Beige

This is a medium toned beige concealer.  Its the middle shade and I find this a great match for me at the moment I could do with Shade 3 aswell as the more the winter sets in the more pasty I am getting :)
This concealer is again medium coverage.  This is completely different to what I am normally used to as I used my Collection Perfection Concealer for a more full coverage effect.  This concealer is perfect for over your foundation :)  its gives you a little more coverage for the areas you want for example under the eyes and for any blemishes that are not totally covered up by your foundation.  I love using the yellow concealer along with this under my eyes especially on my darker days :)

I found this didnt settle into my fine lines or didnt dry up on any small  blemishes I had but If you have quite a few blemishes to cover up this might not be the concealer for you.
Last week I had a very nasty blemish which turned into two and to be honest they were the biggest blemishes I ever had in my life They were so bad they looked more like they were infected .  I found this concealer didnt just do the job I wanted in covering them up I had to use a more full coverage concealer.  This is pretty amazing to use on an everyday basis and does last throughout the day once set with a powder.  It hasnt replaced my all time favourite concealer but its certainly one I will repurchase for my not so desperate days for concealing

Lastly we have the green concealer

This concealer is perfect for anyone who suffers with redness on their face.  You can use this to cancel your Rosacea which I know alot of people find hard to cover up.  Rosacea is the natural redness you get on your cheeks and the only way people feel they can cover it up is by wear full coverage foundation everyday.  I have spoken to quite a few people who suffer with Rosacea and they have told me they sometimes feel embarrassed about their rosacea that they find it extremely hard to cover it up, that its hard to t wear any shades of blush because their natural redness always seems to peep through their foundation.
Well this is what green concealers were made for :)   Simple apply a small amount of this concealer to the areas you suffer redness before your foundation and you will automatically notice a difference.  Then you apply your foundation (I recommend stippling your foundation on when using this concealer for full effect) as usual and your redness with not peep through :) :) I find this works brilliantly its perfect for covering up any redness from spots too :)  The redness stays away the whole day long leaving you free to use whatever shade of blush you desire :)

If find this very light weight and buildable.  It so easy to use and very easy to blend

Over all I think these concealers are well worth having in your collection.  If you are one who suffers with extreme acne and acne scarring I recommend a more full coverage concealer than this but anyone else who is simply looking for a concealer to brighten dark areas and cover up only slight blemishes this is for you.  As for the corrective concealers....... Well I use them on a regular basis I absolutely adore the yellow one and use that quite frequently either on its own or on my worst dark days i use with my full coverage concealer for that extra brightness :)   The green corrective concealer I rarely use on myself but have used it more on people I apply makeup to and they have confirmed their redness stayed away all day long :)
Here is a photo of me before and after applying a mixture of the yellow and my usual concealer under my eyes and also used Beige concealer to cover up a few blemishes i have been battling with :)

Have you ever tried the NYX HD Concealer ?
What is your thoughts on them
Until next time

Catrice Camouflage Cream Concealer

Hey My beauties How are you all today :)
I dont know about you but I have noticed my skin changing a huge amount since the great weather we HAD !!! emphasizing the HAD
With the heat and getting a bit of colour to my face I also noticed the heat dried out my face quite a bit.  Then the bad weather came and bam !!! Blemishes go lor.  I mean I never come out in blemishes maybe one or two around the time of the month but nothing like the past 2 weeks I have been breaking out like crazy around the mouth and chin area :(  So this product I am about to review I have ended up really putting to the test the past 2 weeks :)
Its the New Catrice Camouflage Cream Concealer :)
A true must-have for a flawless complexion. The Camouflage Cream with a long-lasting texture blends perfectly with the skin for invisible correction. It reliably covers irregularities of the skin, pigmentation stains and red veins. The efficient Camouflage Cream offers a high coverage and can be kept in place with powder for a waterproof effect.
Available in three different shades.
This concealer only costs less than €4 for .3g of product.  There was only one shade available when i went in to buy it which was a little disappointing because usually I got for the lightest shade in concealers.  The shade is Rosy Beige which is actually the darkest shade in the collection.  I wouldnt usually go for the darkest colour but I thought this would suit my "Going out" foundation rather than everyday one plus I had no patience to wait for restock to see what this was like.  Now I am glad I bought this shade because since getting a nice little tan from our good spell of weather its actually the right match for my foundation.
The consistency of this concealer is light yet thick based.  I used my fingers to apply this concealer as it need the warmth of your finger tips to get the product out of the pan.  With the warmth of you fingers the concealer melts a little to allow an easy and even application.  This concealer is by far full coverage and its the first drugstore concealer I have bought to be true to what it claims to be as in coverage.  I have also tried applying the concealer with a brush but it still needs the warmth of you fingers to even out.
As you can see by the photo which was just one swatch how thick and creamy the concealer is and the fact it gives a nice dewy finish.  Which means one thing ....... It does not soak into your dry skin, fine lines and dry up on blemishes and thats true to word.  I have even put this concealer to the under eye test in which I have quite the darkest shadows at time and suffer dryness around my under eye area.  I have to say I am well impressed with this concealer it covers my dark circles amazingly plus covers up my blemishes without any effort.
You know its done a great job when you take your makeup off at the end of the day and see your pure red blemishes reappear and release "oh yeah You nasty beasts are there"
I found the concealer to last literally all day long under my eyes and it sorts of fades off blemishes after about 8 hours so if you wear your makeup longer than that simply bring this little beauty with you for top ups.
Here is a before and after picture of me you will see my dark circles and few blemishes around my mouth area too and see how well the concealer looks under the eyes and in fact it has brightened up under there too :)
The photo was taken the same day only I had no plans to go anywhere until a friend called and said hey fancy going somewhere so panic stations set in lol :)
So over all I have to say the Catrice Camouflage Cream Concealer has been and will be at the moment my HG Product I love it and I know you will too LOVE IT Its Full Coverage and covers up everything that needs to be covered brilliantly
Have you tried it yet :)

MUA New Hide & Conceal Cover Up Stick Review

"A NEW Formula... our NEW Hide and Conceal Sticks in three colours- Fair,Natural and Almond. A creamy, easy to use new and improved formula to cover any blemishes or skin imperfections."

Hello my beauties :) :)
I hope you are all well :)
After my not so good but not so bad review on the MUA's Brush on Concealer pen I decided to try out the New Hide & Conceal Cover Up Stick This time to see what it was like.  Now I am not a big fan of Concealer sticks as such as a tried a few when I was in secondary school along time ago now and never had a great experience with them (maybe it was partly to do with the fact I had no idea how to apply them properly) but they always seemed to cake on me but seeing as I am a little more knowledgeable about makeup I decided after so many years to give it a lash :)
There is 3 shades available:  Fair, Natural and Almond
They only cost £1 each which is about 1.50 euro
Bargain even at that price but does it actually do what it claims?

So I decided I would try out the middle shade which is "Natural" as I heard from a few bloggers that the shades on this concealer was lighter than the Brush on Concealer Pen.

The concealer comes in a lipstick type packaging.  It even looks like a lipstick when you twist it up.  The moment I opened up the concealer I knew it was the right shade for me I was delighted it wasnt super dark :)  MUA sells an older version of this which is supposed to be now dont quote me on it as i havent tried it myself but its supposed to be very orangey.  Thats why I was never really pushed about buying it.  Us bloggers do communicate alot thank goodness :)

The consistency of this concealer is quite thick and creamy and you will only need a little bit to do the deed.  I mean this is full coverage all the way.   I would not normally use this under my eyes for that reason as I feel it will cake and soak into fine lines but for blemishes and other areas I have put this to the test.  To be honest I recommend you apply this a little at a time using a concealer brush as you can over do it and if you apply too much it will look cakey.  Once you apply a little at a time it does actually cover up blemishes very well.  I do set this with a powder to make sure it stays put and it does for the most part of the day take or leave 5 to 6 hours before i noticed i needed to top up.

Blended out
Overall I think this concealer would be great for anyone on a budget especially teens who are not fond of wearing foundations you could get away with just using this in the areas you need to and off you go just make sure to keep it in your bag for touch ups.  For £1 I am well impressed with it
Have you tried this concealer yet ?
Until next time

MUA Brush-on Concealer Pen in Light

Hello My beautifuls How are you all doing today :)
Awwww im in a great mood because as i type this the sun is beaming in on top of me and I love it.  The brightness is beautiful and its beginning to feel like Spring long may it last PLEASE!!!!!!
So today I am reviewing the MUA Brush-on Concealer pen in Light
I was actually a little excited about trying this out as i do use the Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 concealer and highlighter pen in Ivory sometimes (well on my not so dark eyed days) and I love it (i have to review that one yet) but it costs about 7 to 9 euro to buy compared the the MUA Brush-on Concealer Pen which costs only £2 I was very hopeful that MUA would replace my Rimmel pen
I was in fact very wrong !!!!!!
I will go into that in a little bit but firstly let me tell you a little about the packaging and product itself
"You might have seen some more expensive versions of these in the beauty world but the joy of MUA is that we’re just *so* good at creating versions that are just as good but a tiny fraction of the price! (You can thank us later.) Brush on the concealer across any imperfections and blend gently with your finger to create a gorgeous, flawless face!"
There are only 2 shades available "Radiance" and "Light" I did see a review on the shade Radiance and it seemed to be a little on the orange side
So I went with Light as I am more on the fair to medium side.
The packaging is the same black with silver writing on it.  Even though this only costs £2 I like that MUA have chosen to go with the black packaging as it does not give away that you have paid so so little for it.  The pen itself comes with a twisty wheel type bottom in which you have to twist to get the product out.  It comes with a brush for easy application which makes life alot easier for people on the go
I did find when trying this out first you have to twist the bottom about 20 times before any product comes out but be careful because you can twist it too much at first and the product will end up gushing out
The moment I say the shade I knew it was going to be too dark for my under eye area in which is the purpose I bought it for.  :( disappointment straight away
This shade is certainly not for anyone with very fair skin or even anyone with fair to medium for the under eye area.  For anyone with fair skin this wont even do for blemishes as it will be too dark for you.  I find this even a shade too dark for me for blemishes.  I shall not waste it though as it will do for going out nights when I wear a darker foundation.
Compared to my normal Rimmel concealer pen for instance the shade is incredibly different I will show you how different later
As you can see by the photo it looks light enough but when it dries and sets its seems to oxidise a little.  Click the picture for a closer look.  The consistency of this concealer is actually thick a sort of moose like texture and it is very very pigmented which means a little goes a long long long way.  It blends out very well so it takes very little effort to work with it.  If you are very dry under the eye area you might find it settling into your fine lines a little but its not noticeable.  For blemishes it does cover them up well enough.
I really want to try radiance out for myself after all everyones skin tone is different but this shade is certainly too orangey and way to dark for what I wanted it for.
For £2 its a pretty good long lasting brush on concealer but whats disappointing is the shade even for the shade "light" you would imagine it to be alot lighter than it is but its not.  If you are someone who is NC 15-25 you will find this too dark anyone darker might find this perfect for you :)
Below is a comparison picture of the Rimmel Pen in "ivory" in which I use for my undereye area for brightness on an everyday basis compared to the MUA pen in Light
So overall for the price it is a good everyday blemish concealer.  For brightening under the eye are no no no not this shade either.  It is  medium coverage concealer and is actually build-able to full coverage.  If MUA brought out more shades I would surely repurchase because overall
Performance is actually quite good for the price whereas shade is not so good
Have you tried this yet
What is your view on it
Until Next time
