Sharing the Love #22: Interview with Jennifer Florence

Hey my beautifuls How are you all doing today.  Wow i have had such an emotional week with my kiddies starting back to school and my twins first time starting playschool (preschool).  I will get used to it in time :) :)  Today I have another share the love visitor for you This is Jennifer but I know her as Jennybug as that is what her channel was called before she changed it and Jennybug will probably be what i will use when talking about Jennifer, you know the way names just stick to you :) :)
Jennifer is a dote and so down to earth :) I hope you check out her channel and let her know you popped by she is a young mum doing what she loves and working hard Any mum would be proud to have a daughter like Jennifer :)
Here is my interview with Jennifer :)

1.  Hey Jenny Welcome to my blog :) :) Can you tell us a little about yourself :)
Hi Nina, thanks so much for including me in this, it's a wonderful idea! Well, my name is Jennifer, and I'm a 24 year old qualified makeup artist, and mammy to a beautiful little girl Alex. I'm a bit mad, or so my friends say :) Love meeting new people and trying new things, cause you only live once!

2.  Tell us a little about your blog
I have a channel on Youtube, which up until recently had been under the name 'jennybugx' however I've just started using my full name instead 'Jennifer Florence'. It's a channel for makeup tutorials, hauls, reviews, and whatever other random things might be on my mind! I really am a makeup fanatic, so that's what you'll mostly see. I'm always willing to do requests on what my subscribers would like to see too, as the channel is for them!

3.  What inspired you to start up your blog
I had been watching makeup gurus online for about 3 years, and one day I came across Sinead Cady's channel. Through her channel I found many other Irish Youtuber's. I hadn't realised there were so many. I thought to myself 'Maybe I could give this a go'. My two main inspirations were Sinead and Leslie from LACxO, who unfortunately is no longer making videos.

4.  What is your dream job?
I definitely want to do something to do with makeup! Ideally with a little girl it'd be great if I could be freelance , so I could work around my own schedule. I'd also be delighted if I ended up doing makeup for TV and film. Last year I was makeup artist on the Iris film 'The O' Briens' and I loved every moment. It was the first time in my life I didn't mind getting up at 6 every morning!!

5.  Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read ?
Although I do occasionally read blogs, I really am more of a video girl. I love watching Sinead Cady- http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMakeupChair, Laura O' Sullivan-http://www.youtube.com/user/LaurzBeauty, Julia Graf-http://www.youtube.com/user/MissChievoushttp://www.youtube.com/user/MissBudgetBeauty/ (I can't remember her name!)and Wayne Goss-http://www.youtube.com/user/gossmakeupartist. And of course yourself Nina, please come back to making videos soon! Anyone you I follow on Youtube that has a blog linked in will of course be followed too!!!

6.  Your favorite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
Oh god this is such a tough question!! When it comes to skincare I'm loving the Boots Botanics range at the moment as it's so gentle on my skin and after I had a bad reaction to a product a few months ago, it really saved my skin.I also use quite a few Oriflame products as I used to sell them and built up quite a stash! When it comes to hair, I swear by Dove hair products. They leave my hair so soft and fresh. And makeup....I don't know where to begin!! I love L'oreal and Illamasqua foundations. When it comes to eyeshadows Sleek are amazing and so affordable. I also adore Catrice, especially their lipsticks. Again super cheap, and great products.

7   If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
Just do it! I was so nervous when I started. The idea that anyone in the world could be watching my videos and judging me was slightly overwhelming, but once I got past that initial fear, I couldn't get enough of it. It's so fun, very addictive, and when you started to build subscribers and get good feed back, you realise it's all worth it!

8.  Can You tell us what is in you handbag?? (hehehe I like been nosey?  Include a picture ?
I actually have two handbags on the go at the moment, and neither are clean enough to be pictured!! Let's see, in my main one is my wallet, my passport, two perfumes, a few Catrice lipsticks,a pair of kids sunglasses, random bracelets, chewing gum, powder and a powder brush and other random rubbish!!

9.  Where else apart from your blog can we find you aka twitter facebook etc.
Well my Youtube channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/jennybugx, and I've just reached 300 subscribers so I'm super excited about that! I don't have a blog as of yet, but definitely hope to make one soon. I'm also on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/jenniferflorencemakeup where I post lots of random stuff!!

10  Any last words for us :)
All I can say is I'm so happy I started a Youtube page. It's a great experience, I've met some wonderful people through it, learned so much, and I hope I'll be doing it for many years to come and that my subs will enjoy it as much as I do.

So there is the lovely Jennifer :) I hope you enjoyed the interview with her and if you have a blog or channel or both and want to take part in my Share the Love Interview let me know below :) :)
Until Next Time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter

I love love love hearing from you all :) I make it my duty to read each and every one of you comments and every time i get a comment from you it highlights my day thanks so so much to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sharing the Love #21: Interview with Karen from Lovely Girlie Bits

Hey My Beauties How are you all today :)
I am so so excited to reveal our next guest in the share the love series :)
I am sure you all know them especially if you are an Irish reader but its the one and only
Karen from Lovely Girlie Bits.  She and her sister write an absolutely amazing blog which is one of my all time favourites plus they have started up a channel on YouTube in which I LOVE they are hilarious together I always watch their videos over and over when I need some cheering up or just want a good laugh and Karen is so funny they way she goes on Plus they do amazing detailed reviews and everything else beauty wise :) :) I love these girls to bits and so delighted they are part of my share the love series and guess what I have had the privilege of meeting both Karen and Joanne not once but twice :)  They are just as lovely in person :)  Ok I am rambling :) Here is my interview with the Lovely Karen :)

1.  Hey Karen Welcome to my blog :) :) Can you tell us a little about yourself :)
I'm Karen, a thirty-something who loves all things beauty and has a dog Bailey who thinks he's a person.  He's me in doggy form, so basically a brat!  But I don't wee on the carpet in the spare room.

2.  Tell us a little about your blog
The blog is mainly a beauty blog with a smidge of fashion!  I write like I'm my reader and write posts I'd want to read on a blog.  It's really important for me to get my personality across which can be hard in text, but most of the readers get me, so I'm happy out!

3.  What inspired you to start up your blog
I started the blog as a distraction from everything that was going on in my life at the time.  I figured I'd so much makeup and will never run out of anything to blog about and three years later, I'm still going strong!  It's a second job now really.  One I don't get paid for, but I absolutely love it and can't see myself stopping anytime soon!

4.  What is your dream job?
I'd love to be able to blog full time.  That's my dream job in a nutshell.  Getting paid to do what you love is the dream!

5.  Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read ?
I love reading lots of blogs and some of my favourites are Fluffandfripperies.com, Emeraldeyeliner.com, Totalmakeupaddict, bloodspot.ie, Cherrysuedointhedo.com and of course yours Nina!

6.  Your favorite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
I'm lucky that I get to try lots of fantastic products and I have to give a shout out to Origins Clean Energy Cleansing Oil, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Mask, L'Oreal Mythic Hair Oil, Trevor Sorbie Smoothing Spray, Bourjois Rouge Shine lipsticks, Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder, Smashbox Eye Brightening Mascara.  I could go on, believe me!

7   If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
I could talk for Ireland on this!  But if I could just give one piece of advice, it would be to prepare to work hard.  When I started blogging, there were a handful of Irish beauty blogs and now there are hundreds.  This means that it can be hard to stand out in a crowd of girls who are all blogging about the same thing.  There are no shortcuts in becoming a successful blogger, well, no honest ones anyway, but if you plug away, write about what you have if you can't afford to buy new products and let your personality shine through, then there's no looking back!

8.  Can You tell us what is in you handbag?? (hehehe I like been nosey?  Include a picture ?
My handbag is a holy mess right now.  I have actual handbag shame... I think if I took a photo of my house, it would have less than what's inside my bag!  And I wonder why I have a sore shoulder!  Ideally I'd like to carry just my wallet, sunglasses, little makeup bag and keys.  In fact I have everything ever made in it and really should clear it out or start bringing my carry on suitcase around with me!

9.  Where else apart from your blog can we find you aka twitter facebook etc.
   I'm @lovelygirlybits on Twitter
Blog is http://www.lovelygirliebits.com/
Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lovelygirliebitscom/142891099093615
Instagram is @lovelygirliebits and I think that's it!

10  Any last words for us :)
I just wanted to say thanks a million to Nina for having me do this interview!  I don't know how she does it with all the chiddlers and puts me to shame!  Her blog is my absolute favourite for swatches and the time she puts into each post really shows.  So if you're a new blogger, take some time and root around her blog!

Thanks Nina!

Sharing the Love #14: Interview With Stefy from Stefy Puglisevich

Hey my beauties how are you all today :)
Wow its been a while since we had a Share the Love entry I kinda missed it did you?  Well I have a few more to share with you and today we have Stefy who I actually have been following for a while now.  Stefy I remember won one of my giveaways if I am not mistaken it was my "Glossybox Giveaway"  I think she is a wee stunner and very talented and one of those beauty bloggers who deserve more publicity than she has.  You can tell she works very hard and puts alot of passion into her blog and channel.  So with further ado here is my interview with Stefy.

1.  Hey Stefy Welcome to my blog :) :) Can you tell us a little about yourself :)
Hi everyone! I'm Stefy, a 21 year old bilingual (half british/half maltese) qualified Freelance Makeup Artist who's love for beauty started at the age of 14 after watching a youtube video believe it or not. I Also am a huge Computer geek and graduated from college with a Diploma in I.T. Before my blog was born, my life was all about dance which included 5 years of ballet, 6 years of Gymnastics followed by 2 years of Hip Hop & Jazz.

2.  Tell us a little about your blog
I have a Beauty & Fashion blog which I  can safely call my "safe haven" as It's become a part of me. I write reviews on products or services that I'd want to share with others and also add Fashion into the mix with Outfits of the days and Inspirational Posts. I also design and create all photos and everything seen on my blog myself as it's the "fun part" after taking photos and editing.

3.  What inspired you to start up your blog
My blog started way back in 2009, a friend of mine had sent me a link to a girl on YouTube who had posted a hair tutorial. After that, I had seen others starting up their own blog, posting about products and their opinions. In Malta, Blogs weren't known at the time so I felt like a fish stranded at sea. My blog started as "britese.blogspot.com" which meant "Brit" for British and "ese" for Maltese and soon after that I decided to buy my own domain and host it officially.

4.  What is your dream job?
My Dream Job is to work in the Beauty or Fashion Industry which I have experienced already. I have been a Makeup Artist for INGLOT Cosmetics here in Malta and also being a Freelance Makeup Artist does increase your exposure. Working for a magazine or a cosmetic company will always be my Number ONE Job. Ever since watching "Ugly Betty" I was inspired to set goals and chase my dream. I am moving to London in a couple of days which is already a milestone accomplishment for me.

5.  Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read ?
Some of my favorite blogs are from all over the globe! Starting off with My Best Friend & Fashion Blogger Lara from www.boffism.com, Sophia fromwww.sophiameola.blogspot.co.uk, Jordan from www.bohovanity.com, Carlinn from  www.superficialgirls.com used to live in Malta for a couple of years before returning back to Cape Town in SA.
6.  Your favorite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
My all time favorite products starting from skincare has to be my Bioderma H20 Sensibio Makeup Remover/Cleaser. For Hair products it's the Aussie Range I always have their shampoo and conditioners, my hair has never felt so soft with this range. As for Makeup products, there is no doubt but I have to say MAC Lipsticks, I currently own a total of 17 Lipsticks from them ranging from their Permanent line to some limited edition one and my favorite finishes are cremesheen and amplified.

7   If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
My advice, think about what you would want to write about and categorize what you want your blog to be under. Then think of a fun catchy name and best of all enjoy it. There are alot of inspiration that you can get from many other bloggers and don't be shy to attend any meetups or events in your area.

8.  Can You tell us what is in you handbag?? (hehehe I like been nosey?  Include a picture ?
I actually Filmed a video on what's in my handbag just about a month ago! I bought a lovely Black & Yellow inspired Celine Boston Luggage Tote and the shape is perfect to fit my Macbook Pro 13" on the go with the zipper closed! The link to the video, it's my summer edition : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=839lu7D37qI

9.  Where else apart from your blog can we find you aka twitter facebook etc.

10  Any last words for us :)
Dream Big, Don't let others bring you down and be Happy in whatever you want in life. xo
Thank you Stefy for taking part in my Share the Love series.  It has been a pleasure and make sure to pop over to her Channel and Blog Check her out :)

I'm a Maltese freelance makeup artist  and a beauty blogger. I've recently finished a Communications degree but I'm trying to focus on makeup rather than anything else. 2.  Tell us a little about your blog
My blog is a beauty blog in which I post reviews and FOTDs. I don't normally verge into the fashion aspect of blogging, as I'm more interested in makeup.

3.  What inspired you to start up your blog
I've always admired Youtube gurus and other bloggers so I just went for it. And I always loved getting dolled up too, so I like to share how I do things with others.

4.  What is your dream job?

Sharing the Love #11: Interview with Sara from At the Beauty Desk

[headshot+for+article.jpg]
Good Morning Everyone I hope you are all well today :)
Happy 4th of July to all of you out there who are celebrating today Be safe and Have a great time :)
Todays Guest is another Irish blogger Sarah
Not only is she a fantastic blogger who has brilliant quality photos but she is also professional freelance make-up artist, nail technician and hair stylist.  I myself have only just found her and I Have read every one of her blog post so far and loved them.  She is one of those bloggers that deserve more followers than what she has and thats for sure :) She seems so laid back and fun and I am sure you will agree when you visit her blog and read her interview with me :) I hope you enjoy :)

1.    Hey Sarah Welcome to my blog :) :) Can you tell us a little about yourself :)
Hi Nina, I’m Sarah Hamersley. I’m a professional freelance makeup artist, nail technician, and hair stylist. I work for myself so my job can vary from doing makeup for photo shoots or films, to doing nails or doing up styles for special occasions. I also blog about all things beauty and write for a monthly Munster magazine called Hi Magazine.

2.    Tell us a little about your blog
My blog is http://atthebeautydesk.blogspot.ie/ I only started blogging this year. I love all things beauty so my blog is an extension of that. It’s a place I can talk about the latest products I bought, reviews of products I was sent and to share pictures of my makeup and nails. Before doing a post, I always think to myself would I be interested in reading this post on someone else’s blog. I like being original and not blogging about what everyone else has blogged about.

3.    What inspired you to start up your blog
I’ve always been into writing and someone told me I should start a blog, so I did. I didn’t think about followers or who would read it, I just did it to improve my writing. And as a result of it I now write about beauty in a local Magazine. My beauty page is called “At the beauty desk with Sarah Hamersley” which is the same name as my blog so it’s great to be able to connect those two things together.

4.    What is your dream job?
Honestly I’m doing my dream job. As I said, I could be doing shellac one minute, makeup for a bridal party another or travelling to an event the next so it’s a great variety of things I do. The fact I offer such a wide range of treatments to clients, I’m not stuck doing the same thing all day every day. It is a lot of hard work and you really have to put yourself out there but it’s very rewarding and you get to meet so many amazing people.

Plus there’s always new products and treatments coming out, so I’m always going to day training courses to improve and update my skills. Especially in the beauty industry, you can never know everything so I think it’s important to stay on top of all the latest trends.
I currently have one beauty page in Hi Magazine but I’d love to have a whole beauty section and one day become a beauty editor. That’s one of my goals.

5.    Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read?
I love blogs where you get to know the person and their personality comes through in their posts. I follow such a wide range of blogs because I think it’s important to support other bloggers. I always love stumbling across blogs that are amazing but haven’t that many followers. It’s like coming across an amazing song no one as heard of yet and you are the number one fan before it makes it big.

6.    Your favorite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
Oh this is a tough one, I work with so many different products all the time and use different brands for different things but from a personal point of view, what I use on myself, I do have a few favourites I always use.

My favourite skin care has to be Olay. I grew up seeing my mam use it. I used to rob some from her dressing table when I was young and been using it ever since. I think good skin care is the first step to looking gorgeous. I always fell more confident when my skin looks and feels healthy.
For hair care I look for products that smells nice, protects and gives shine I Sshampoo twice, use a coin amount of conditioner, massage it in and comb through and use a leave in conditioner or conditioning treatment. I use a lot of heat on my hair from blow drying or straightening so I always use a protectant spray or I allow my hair dry naturally as often as I can.
My makeup products change all the time. But the one thing I use all the time are my brushes. I couldn’t do my job without them. Good brushes make applying makeup so much easier. I have a red undertone to my skin and using sponges or my fingertips can drag the makeup or heat up my face so that’s why I always use brushes so as not to add to the redness.

7   If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
I say just do it. That’s how I began. I did it for the love of it and it led to getting to write a beauty page for a magazine. You don’t know where it could lead to or who’s reading your blog. It is a great platform for whatever industry you want to get into and it’s a great way to meet new people of similar interests.

8.    Can You tell us what is in you handbag?? (hehehe I like been nosey?
My handbag is like my little savior, lots of bits and bobs and things for just in case. Besides the obvious keys, phone and wallet I carry smellies, nail wraps, clips, combs, loads of pens and a pad, lipstick, balms & gloss, hygiene gel, mirror, sunnies, sudoko, travel tan, creams & chewing gum.

9.    Where else apart from your blog can we find you aka twitter facebook etc.
I only recently joined twitter and I’ve met so many great bloggers through it. I join in with weekly chats, give beauty advice and put up pictures of things not on my blog. I talk to all my followers so make sure to pop by and say hi.
I also have an online portfolio site where you can see some of my work. I’m always updating it and have loads more pictures to include.
Hi Magazine is also available online so you can pop in your details and avail of a free online copy and see my article every month.

10. Any last words for us :)
I’ve really enjoyed this chat, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it, hopefully talk to you all soon and happy blogging x

I hope you visit her sites and show her some luuuuurrrvvvvvee :)
