Essence TE Cherry Blossom Girl Review

Well hello there my beauties :) 

I hope you are all well.  1st of all can i just take this chance to say WELCOME to my latest new followers/friends thanks so much for clicking that follow button and I really hope you enjoy reading my blog xxxxxxxxxx and thanks so much to my current followers/friends for sticking around you guys are amazing and brilliant and i love you all so much for the comments and kinds words you give me all the time i am blessed to have you all in my life (ok mushy time over :)

As you know already I'm a sucker for Limited Editions and I love the way Essence & Catrice comes out with very regular limited editions.  

Its that time again for Essence and they have come out with The Cherry Blossom Girl Edition for Autumn 2012 :) 

konnichiwa asian beauty girls! in september 2012,essence whisks you away to the far east with the trend edition “cherry blossom girl”. the color theme of this trend edition unites soft cherry blossom shades with strong red, bright yellow and cool black. the absolute it-piece: elaborately designed paper eyelashes that create a fabulous asia-look with a true wow-effect when combined with expressive eyeliner, intense red lips and softly shimmering skin!

So when this edition arrived in my local pharmacy all i could see what bright shades and beautiful products to select from.  Like i said before i only went for the shades and the items i would use rather than get all and not use half of them but i got at least one or two shades of everything so apart from the shades the products will be the same at least.  

So starting off with 

Well I have to admit i have a special place in my heart for the Essence Quattro Eyeshadows.  They are super cheap and are amazingly pigmented not only that they are great for beginners because the shades in the quad all create a brilliant eye look.  There is only one of these available in the Limited edition called 01 Dreaming under a Cherry Tree

Doesnt it look so pretty.  

In this palette obviously there is 4 shades 

On the site its says you are getting a red but i dont see any red here 

you are getting a nice mix of peaches and oranges and also neutral shades :) :) 

These eyeshadows are really nice and creamy i found the lightest shade which is the 2nd from the top a little on the chalky side and is very light.  Apart from that this palette works well and you can build the colours up to what ever strength you desire.  

They are not shimmery but do give a lovely semi metallic finish :) 

You will need a primer underneath to make this last all day long other wise you will notice the shadows wearing off after 5 hours.  This is not as pigmented as some of the other quattro eyeshadows i have but i still like it :) 

Pretty isnt it :)  Awwww i just had to buy this little beauty just look at the shades :) :) 
The print of the cherry blossom is stunning see i have a thing for Cherry blossom tree's its my favourite tree in this whole world :) :) Its stunning to look at and if i had acres of land id have a huge walkway it cherry blossoms on each side the whole way down the walk way (oh im sorry i went a bit on the ahem dream land again :)

Your getting 2 stunning shades of peach one dark and one very light almost like a highlight shade :)  This is suppose to create a beautiful natural rosy glow and i have to say it certainly does 
The only thing i found with this blush is that it was very sheer to swatch but it is buildable.  When used together the colour is not as pigmented but i tend to go for the darker side for the blush and the lighter side for a highlight :)  I love this :) :) 

Lipstick Pencils these come in 2 shades and i decided on getting the 2 as i have to admit i had higher expectations for these than i care to admit :)  I was super excited about trying these in particular .   These are suppose to give a Matte velvet finish and a big must have according to essence.  
As you can see the packaging is pretty straight forward its a chubby pencil with a lid. (as i said pretty straight forward lol) 
Cherry Cherry Girl is a pretty vibrant coral shade 
It's Peach not Cherry is a peach with orange undertones 

Awww i was so so disappointed with these 2 which is a pity because they are so creamy, so pigmented and so easy to apply.  Their scent is also quite nice its a very faint vanilla scent which doesnt last too long on the lips.  
So why was i disappointed
Aww from the minute i applied these to my lips i hated them.  The lip product soaked into ever line on my lips.  It looked horrible on my lips (like the way oil hits water) it looked lumpy mucky ewwwwww.  So i thought hmmm maybe i need to exfoliate my lips and maybe apply a lip balm a good 10 minutes before.  Tried that and still no difference.  I even tried applying the lightest coat i could but it just wouldnt sit on my lips.  
I did very very best to get a good photo swatch of each on my lips to show you even what the shade is like for each but you will see that the colour even with lip balm under it soaked right into my lines 

The minute I had this photo taken i pressed my lips together and the lip product looked like a mess on my lips.  Not a bit impressed i know they only cost less than 2 euro and i wouldnt have minded if they only lasted an hour on my lips but the fact that you cant even apply them right to enjoy them even for an hour is a bit crazy 
so marks out of 10 .........a big fat O

Well now you all know i love essence nail polish the fact that they are under 2 euro each they are amazing for the price and have so many shades to choose from.  There are 4 shades to choose from in this Limited Edition.  I only chose 2 as i have so many polishes as it is and these 2 shades called out to me more.  
I was actually amazed by these nail polishes in particular.  I mean 2 thin coats and you are done.  The consistency is a little thicker than the permanent range which is brilliant as these polishes are going to last alot longer.  
The 2 shades i got was 
Cherry Cherry Girl which is a love coral with red undertones very bright and beautiful :) 

It's Peach not Cherry:  This is beautiful you are getting a lovely peach with an orangey undertone to it :) I have never owned any shade like this before and I am loving it :) 

One piece of advice especially to all of you Essences nail polish lovers.  Only apply light coats with these as it is thicker than the normal polishes from Essence but not hard to apply do not worry :) 

Next up is the Cherry Blossom Girl Highlighter Pen which according to Essence gives the area around your eyes the natural radiance of an asian beauty.
It comes in a sleek black plastic twistable pen with a little brush applicator.  Now one thing i noticed is you have to give it a good twist before any product comes out.  

The Product itself is actually quite thick so a little of this will go a long long way :) As you can see there is a little tint of pink and quite a bit of shimmer on it.  It blends out beautifully and feels really soft on the skin. 
I like to use this on top of my cheekbones, maybe a little under the brow and maybe a little on the inner corner or my eyes its very pretty and I'm glad I have it in my collection :) 
For less than 3 euro its definitely worth buying and trying 

If you are not one who likes shimmer on your face maybe leave this out but its not the type of shimmer that makes you look like a disco ball :)

Ok i was quite excited to try this out as i did have a look at the felt tips before i bought it and they looked promising already.  
The thin part looked very skinny perfect for anyone who needs and extra hand to get their line right :) This is also perfect for starting of your line on the inner 3rd of your eye 

The thicker side is great for finishing off the line on the outter corner of the eye or if you are one who likes a good thick line this is the part for you.  You can still achieve a thin like with the thick part also which is an extra bonus 

This black is a good dark black and looks amazing.  Its a semi-permanent formula.  I found even after taking my makeup off i could still see it very faintly on my eyes.  This liner will be perfect for nights out or long days of makeup wearing :) 

After alot of scrubbing with body wash and makeup remover you can still see the very faint lines on the arm.  :) 

So thats it everyone thats what I got from the Cherry Blossom Collection.  Now i do know there is two other items i did not purchase from this collection 
1 been the Shimmering body powder which did look lovely but i would not used as i have enough at home and 2 the eyelashes they are paper lashes and something i probably would not end up using.  
Overall i am pleased with this Limited Edition If i have to choose with what I am most happy with it would have to be the blush and the eyeliner.

George (Asda) Nail Polish

Hey my Beauties 

How are you all :) 

Well today I am going to show you a little collection of nail polishes from George (Asda) 

Some of you will ask What or Where is Asda .

Well Asda is a British supermarket who sell food, clothing, toys literally everything its not only based in Britain but also in Northern Ireland.  

Asda would be something like Walmart in America 

It would also be like Aldi, Woolworths anyway you get the jist. 

To tell you a little tail first :) My sister and i traditionally go to the North and do a huge food shop enough to do 2 months as we find it amazingly cheap there.  I mean yes we travel about 1 and half hours to shop there but its soooooo worth it.  The stores where we live is ridiculously expensive sometimes and when my twinnies were born there was no way i could afford to keep them fed and afford nappies/diapers etc for them with Asda 

Put it this way i would get 3 packs of nappies/diapers in Asda for the same price as 1 pack where i live.  So now you know why i do this as i have 5 kiddies to feed and also parties etc to have so i stock up for so much less there :) 

Anyway it takes my sister and I at least 3 hours to get around Asda its soooooo big :) :) 

I love it :) 

Along with everything Asda has they have their own little tiny makeup stand :) not to be honest the makeup i am not fussed about it would be good for little teens starting out but i am not one who would try it.  They do sell nail polishes which i have tried before and they are actually quite good 

The last time i was there i came across new released polishes from there and very nearly passed them until my sister pointed out there was a new selection she showed me one and i was in awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

I ended up putting 4 shades in my trolley :) :) Well for £1 each I couldn't resist

So enough chit chat lets show you the shades :) 

Unfortunately this one doesn't have a name :( i hate when that happens i like my products to have names i don't know why it is maybe i feel there is more thought put into it or something or maybe its just when someone asks me about it i like to say brand and name of product (sorry I'm babbling again lol) 

This was the one my sister showed me first and i fell in love with it.  This is an amazingly summery pink.  It has the tiniest specks of silver shimmer in it which makes it more noticeable.  It took 3 coats and a top coat to last 5 days before it started to chip.  Its such a bright cheerful shade and one of my favourites :) 

Now this one has a name :) :)

"U the Sea" hmmmm the name is not exactly original but hey its a name :) 

This is more of a jewel toned polish and a fabulous teal/green shade this is very flattering and very noticeable.  It took 3 coats and with a topcoat lasted a week before chipping not bad eh?

"Hoax" well what can i say purple i just love purples even though this was more cool toned on my hands i still loved how it looked :) this took again 3 coats and a good top coat to last a full week on my nails.  This was actually hard to get a good photo of as when i would take the photo it would come out different to what it really looked like for instance this one above is with flash and the one below is in natural sunlight 

 This picture is more like it as you can see this too have teeny tiny specks of silver in it :) 

"Trick"  This is a beautiful Fuchsia Pink Oh boy is this beautiful in person.  This photo is taken in direct sunlight you would get away with only 2 coats of this but i put 3 just because i want it to last a good while :) :) I think this is really pretty and compliments my tanned hands.  Instead of putting a clear top coat on it i decided as it was such a beautiful sunny day i would jazz it up a little :) 

So i used a nail polish i got this week in fact i won it in a little giveaway and couldn't wait to use it as i never tried it before. 

Oh I Just Love it i will review the Topcoat soon But doesn't it look FAB!!!!

Now for my overall opinion of these nail polishes is if you can get your hands on them don't pass them.  For £1 they do more than their moneys worth to be honest.  No they are not perfect but they are great for budget priced.  The shades are exciting and up to date :)   You only need 2 to 3 coats to get good colour payoff.  The brush is quite thin and a little flimzy but you actually get used to it fairly quickly.  They dry very quick too even after 3rd coat which i love as i don't have time to sit around for an hour while my nails dry lol

My First China Glaze Experience :)

Hey my beauties how are you all doing?

Today I am happy to announce that i am no longer a China Glaze Virgin Wahoooo :) 

You might find this hard to believe but i have never until now tried China Glaze Nail Polishes 

I dont know why to be honest as i have seen so many reviews , pictures, site etc with china glaze nail polishes.  I loved every picture i seen and heard so many great things about the polish.  They have been on my wish list for such a long time now these and O.P.I in which i have yet to try out.  

I think maybe the reason i havent tried these is because of the cost.  To be honest i got that used to buying cheaper branded nail polishes that i found it hard to spend up to 9 euro even more for one bottle from china glaze etc.  

Until one day i just took the plunge when i seen Beauty Emporium was doing a sale on some China Glaze and O.P.I Nail Polishes I just had to see what all the hype was about :) So i ended up buying 2 bottles from the site :) 

Blue Year's Eve was part of the 2011 collection :) Beauty Emporium had this on sale(in which they have ran out of stock) for 5 euro well i couldn't say no could I ? To be honest I am glad I didnt just look at that colour :) This is a very deep glassflecked blue.  In the sunlight you can almost catch the tiny speckle of purple in the bottle and if you are lucky you will see it on the nail too. I applied 3 thin coats and it turned out very opaque.  Absolutely amazing shade and i couldn't believe the amount of people that commented on my nails while i wore this.  They actually thought i got my nails done professionally :) Thanks China Glaze :) :) 

Sweet Hook:   I got this also on Beauty Emporium website on sale for 6.50 euro.  Now normally i dont go for a creme type nail polish but this caught my eye on the site as i was browsing i passed it a few time but i found myself going back to it and wondering will I or wont I.  Well you can see i did and i am glad i did!!!! This is part of the 2012 Spring collection and it looks amazing on the nail.  Its a pastel lilac.  Two coats is plenty as its a little thicker in consistency but not overly thick.  This shade would be lovely to wear if going to a wedding or an a family party or something like that.  

Lastly is CG in the City:  I got this little beauty on Ebay for 3.75 including shipping it was a bid sale happy days !! :)  I found out this was part of the Metro Collection in 2011

Just look at this nail polish in the bottle doesnt it look fab fab fab.  This is a clear nail polish with little gold, lavender, black and silver glitter.  I tried wearing this on its own and to be honest i thought it just didnt look right now dont get me wrong some people would like it on its own its just my person preference but i prefer it over a nail polish.   I have yet to try it over black nail polish in which I would say will look amazing :) I love this polish its great to have to jazz up you boring polish you might have in your collection.  :) 

Ok I can Safely say after my experience with these 3 polishes that im am LOVVVVINNNGGGG China Glaze polishes i mean wow.....

They lasted over a week on my nails which is pretty darn good as my hand are constantly in water.  Its crazy :) i put a cheaper nail polish on my nails in between wearing these polishes and all i wanted was the China Glaze on me :) :) I think i may possibly be starting to become a tad bit addicted lol.  Of course i will only buy China Glaze on offer as thats the sort of person i am....I'm a bargain hunter hehehehe  So keep an eye out for more nail swatches in the future from my blog as i have already ordered 2 more (i may be starting to build a little collection for myself ;) ) 
Another brilliant thing i love about these polishes is that there is Hardeners in them which is ideal for me as sometimes my nails become brittle and weak and i do find my nails feeling stronger while wearing these polishes 


Is there anyone else out there who hasn't tried China Glaze?  If you have tried them what are your Favourite shades....I have seen so many shades i want to try.  Have you tried O.P.I Is it any better or the same as China Glaze

Essence Limited Edition "Fruity" Nail Polish Review

Hey my beauties 

So i was in my local pharmacy collecting so items when i came across yet ANOTHER Limited Edition on the Essence Stand and sure well it was like Xmas all over again , as i was not expecting it at all :) 

Well then i couldnt just pass it and it was so cheap i just picked up the lot :) :) 

So obviously when i got home i started playing with my newbies straight away.  

I decided i will do the reviews on this seperate as there is a few items i found a little disappointing so i wanted to go a little into detail of why so stay tuned as i wont keep you waiting on the blog posts for too long :) 

Starting it the nail Polishes :) 

Dont these polishes look dam pretty :)  Each nail polish cost me 1.79 euro each.  

One thing is they dont have names or even numbers on them but they are named on the site 

Starting from left to right

01  One kiwi a day:  This certainly lives up to its name its a pretty green shade with little shimmers of green glitter in it 

02  Mashed Berries: This is a pretty berry pink shade with dark pink sparkles 

03  Very Cherry  Beautiful shade looks the same as mashed berries on the first coat but looks different more lighter than mashed berries after third coat

04  Banana Joe:  This does look like a banana shade in the bottle but to be honest i would go with lemon than banana :) this has no sparkle in it :) 

05  Peach Beauty:  This is my favourite shade out of the bunch i think.  Its a beautiful shade of peach and a perfect shade for the summer this has no sparkle in it either.  

What i found with these nail polishes is that they are very sheer which i think is the whole idea for summer time but to be honest if i was was applying nail polish i like it to be noticeable.  I found 2 coats of this nail polishes very sheer and i could still see my nail through it but after the 3rd it was fine.  I also found even with a top coat with my hands always been near water the nail polish chipped after 2 days :( boo.  
Even though the shades are lovely i found them way to much hard work especially on busy days.  They are good polishes if you want to wear with an outfit for a wedding or meeting or something like that but dont expect them to last longer than a week :) 
 I have swatches of two of these nail polishes and when i wear the others i will post them up in the future too but this is just to give you an idea of how they look on the nails :) 

Also available in this range is the Scented Top Coat 

Well now you can imagine me been sceptic of this as i have never heard of nail polish been scent Have you?  Well i needed a top coat anyway so i went ahead and bought it out of curiosity.  I had to open it there and  then to see could i get a scent and to be honest all i got a the typical nail polish scent :( but the fact it was cheap and i needed a top coat i went ahead and purchased it anyway :) 

When i applied it on my nails and let it dry i could get a slight scent of strawberries and cream :) :) i realised the top coat was in fact scented :) wow :) a great change from that strong nail polishy scent eh?  Now the scent doesnt last too long but its still a change :)   For less than 2 euro i am not going to complain about the lasting power of the scent as long as it protects my nail polish :) 

The top coat itself is good too it leaves a nice shine on the nail and does protect the polish from chipping after two coats.  I applied two coats of this due to my own personal preference :) 

So thats my out take on these polishes

Catrice "Revoltaire" Limited Edition Haul & Review

Hey everyone its that time again........A new Limited Edition from Catrice :) :) :) you know how much that makes me happy :)  The Range came into my pharmacy just at the beginning of June  .  Now this time around i only buy what i know i will use so some of the ranges shades will not be included in this but if you want to see what other shades is available check out their site http://www.catrice.eu/limited-edition/revoltaire.html

The only thing i am missing is the lipbrush and a few shades of the nail polishes as i have similar ones here already so i gave them a miss.  So here i will show you what i got :) 

There are two of these available for 4.99 euro.  The packaging looks really cute.  Its a sort of black/grey shade with a lovely design and a reflected R in the middle standing for "Revoltaire".  Its very light plastic but is sturdy at the same time there is also a nice sized mirror which is great for travel :)  According to Catrice you are getting 3 pigmented eyeshadows and a cake eyeliner  to create a nice smokey eye for the season.  

C01 Toxic Combination

At first i thought these palettes were made up of 4 eyeshadows until i swatched them then i went onto the site and realised the last shade was a powder eyeliner in which you can use a damp brush :)  this palette consist of an Acid green shimmery shade, a Brown khaki with bright greeny/gold shimmer, a grey almost matte shade and a dark grey cake eyeliner.  All shades are quite pigmented.  With a good primer they last all day.  :) These colour create a great smokey look :) will post up pictures in the future.   Swatches are made with no primer

Co2 Explosive Combination 

Well what can i say this is beautiful and creates a beautiful unique look :)   In this palette you are getting a lovely pinky/coral shade, a shimmery light gold, a light brown with gold shimmer and a dark brown cake eyeliner shade.  Its safe to say this is my favourite out of the two because of the shades :) 
Each palette is definitely worth having in your collection for less than 5 euro you really are getting your moneys worth :) 

Love at 1st sight with this blush :) I love the ways this is packaged :) you get a soft coral on the top part and it gradually turns into a beautiful pinky coral shade :) 

Doesnt it remind you of the sunset :) I love it :)   As you can see you are getting shimmer in it but the shimmer is finely milled and doesnt appear shimmery when applied to your cheeks.  I would use the very top shade as a highlight for my cheekbones :)  What i love most is that you have control of how deep you want the shade and also how strong you want it as its a very build-able blush.  It gives such a beautiful glow to the cheeks and its perfect for summer time:) 

This blush is 8g and costs 3.99 euro well worth it :) 

While i write this part im thinking maybe i should have picked up 3rd shade in this and i do have plans to so if i get the other shade before posting this up you will see along with these if not you will see it in a later post :) 
well now i think this is the first time Catrice came out with a Matte lipstick (well since i started buying Catrice) correct me if im wrong:) 

So i got 2 shades 
C01 "Colour Bomb":  Boy oh boy this shade has amazing pigmentation i mean 1 swipe and you see instant colour.   This is a fab Coral Pink.  A warm shaded that actually goes great with my skin tone i love it !!

C02 "Nude Alarm":  This shade i am loving at the minute its a beautiful nude shade with a slight brown undertone.  I noticed on the stick itself there is very fine specks of silver shimmery particles to it.   I thought this lipstick would make me look like im sick with my complexion i was wrong I LOVE IT :) It's a perfect nude for me

C03 "Blood Red":  Well now what say about this lipstick only WOWZER THIS IS BLOOD RED.......:) its so so highly pigmented and very creamy i do advise if you are not a pro at putting on bright lipstick like this use a lip brush for sure if you dont already do....This red is more on the cool side as it has a blue tone to it :) this would look fantastic on every skin tone even the palest :) I love this colour and was bold enough to wear it during the week walking up town lol i did get some stares as normally i am afraid of deep red shades but i said why be afraid its your lips and you can paint them whatever way you want :) :) This lipstick is by far one shade i dont have i am very happy with it :)

Overall I think these lipsticks are pretty good for 3.99 euros.  Catrice claims that these lipsticks will not dry out your lips thanks to their velvet rich texture.  That is true alright as they are not 100% matte in my eyes because of the creamy texture they have they are so easy to apply compared to most matte lipsticks.  I will say one thing that if you suffer with dry lips you will find this lipstick will soak into your dry lines not so much with "nude alarm" but certainly with "colour bomb"  if you have dry lip you will find this lipstick wearing off quicker but if you have normal lip you will find this lipstick lasting a good 3 to 4 hours before need a little top up :)  Blood Red is fantastic it lasts longer than the other two i have found its highly pigmented and almost acts like a stain. 

As i said in my video i only got 2 out of the 5 nail polishes available in this range :) 
the first one is 
C02 Attracting Camouflage:  I found myself questioning if i was going to like this shade or not as it seemed to be the odd one out as the rest was bright and cheerful whereas this one seemed darker and a very unusual shade in the bottle.  Of course i had to go for the unusual one as i like experimenting, change and trying anything once.   This shade you remind you of the camoufage but with gold mixed up im still warming to this shade what do you think. 

C05 Mission Lilac:  This shade i love :) :) Lilac wouldnt be the colour i would say it is but i would go with fuchsia a nice dark pink :) I think this is amazing and i actually 
 dont have a shade like it :) :)
