Sleek Makeup Showstoppers Palette Review

Hey my beauties how are you all today :)
Wow the summer holidays is already setting in for the kiddies as i type here I heard load TV on, Nintendo ds's been played and music on the phone as my 3 year old shimmy shakes to the music all oh yes and the other twin shouting (not singing) to the song been played all because the rain is about to fall here :( so much for summer eh?  but I still aim to get this blog post up :)
So todays review is on the Newest Eyeshadow Palette by Sleek which is Limited Edition.  This palette was first released in April and i just could not wait to get my hands on it because Sleek took the most popular shades from past palettes and put them into one which is the Showstoppers Palette :)
If you have been following me for a while you will know I absolutely love love love the Sleek I-Divine eyeshadow palettes they are amazingly pigmented and amazing value :)
I think I have about 7 or 8 palettes to my collection now and i love each and every one of them.  If you have missed any of my reviews on them click here to view all my reviews
The packaging is the same as it always is a sturdy black case which will not open unless you prize it open which is a great thing.  You get a great sized mirror inside and a double ended sponge tipped applicator which I always dispose of as I have my brushes that I prefer to use.  The eyeshadows are protected by a plastic covering which has the name of each eyeshadow on it :)
The names on the shadows as you might notice if you are a fan of the palettes are actually the names of what palette the eyeshadow came from for instance The 1st shade came from the Paraguaya palette so thats what its named on this palette :) great idea :)
Some of the shades I have not tried because I dont have all of the named palettes so I was even more excited to try them because they are the popular shades :)
So on to the shades and starting with the top row from left to right :)
Paraguaya:  This is a Matte peachy shade perfect for blending out harsh lines or even on the line for an instant wake me up look :) This is light and looks sheer when swatched but more noticable on the lid when you use a darker shade in the crease :)
Sunset:  This is an absolute stunning shade I Love it :)  Its a stunning metallic Burgandy and works amazing for my eyes as they make my hazel eyes pop :)  Its very very pigmented and alot goes a long way :)
Me, Myself & Eye:  This is another metallic shade A white with reflect of green in it a perfect highlight shade.  There can be a little fall out with this one but again a little goes a long way
Bad Girl:  Another metallic shade this time a stunning olive green with reflects of gold and again very pigmented and a little on the chalky side :)
Noir:  A gunmetal silver with reflect of blue going through it you perfect smokey eye shade and very very pigmented works well and blends with little effort :)
Ultramattes V2:  This is a matte black with a slight metallic finish.  This takes a little more effort to blend than the rest of the shade because its so dark but takes very little with each application.  This also works great as a liner wet or dry :)
Now for Row 2
Oh So Special:  This is another matte shade for you all this time a deep grey shade.  This is a little harder to blend so take your time with it but its very pigmented and beautiful :)
Bohemia:  Wow years ago I would have been afraid of this shade lol but this is the most beautiful pinky coral shade again a matte shade.  This is so so pigmented that a little goes a long way.  If feels soft and creamy and looks fantastic on anyone with green/hazel eyes.  I will post up a picture on a model I used this colour on later on :)
Storm:  A very deep matte navy blue shade.  This looks fantastic along side "Bohemia" A Very pigment shade but is a little chalky so best to apply before your foundation :)
Sparkle:  A creamy shimmery shade but has a slight metallic finish.  This is chalky also so be careful this shade is very soft and pigmented for a light shade and works perfect for a highlight :)
Au Natural:  A very deep purple with pinkish undertones and silver glitter this shade is BEAUTIFUL but does create alot of fall out be careful.  This is very pigment a stunning I love it you will find it is a little on the grainy side because of the glitter but you will not end up looking like a disco ball dont worry :)
Graphite:  This is a beautiful chocolate brown which has a metallic finish .  I wore this shade yesterday in the crease and "Paraguaya" on the lid and it looked so beautiful for a little pick me up look :) even for school days look :) This is a very pigmented soft shade a little goes a long way :)
As you can see each and every one of these shades are more than pigmented enough even the matte shades are pigmented which is a surprise because matte shades in general are usually hard to work with.  I love every shade and I think Sleek did well with adding all the favourite shades into one palette.  One thing I would say is that there is a good few shades in this palette that creates fall out and can be a little messy so what i do is create my more dramatic looks before applying my foundation at least that way you can clear up any fall out after you are done either that or apply loose powder under each eye and cheeks so you can sweep it away after.  I highly recommend this palette and I can safely say that its one of the best I have bought :)  Its a pity its a Limited Edition because I think it could become a favourite to anyone loves makeup :)
Here is a look I done on Sarah my perfect model :) :) ;)  In this eye look I used the shades "Paraguaya all over the lid, Bohemia in the centre of the lid, Au Natural in the inner and outter corner, Storm in the crease and Sparkle as a highlight on the browbone and tear duct" The look I did was actually inspired by another beauty blogger who created this look and I thought I would never be able to achieve it but did :) Her blog is called Glam Express she does some amazing looks and tutorials :)
Here is the look I recreated :)
you can still purchase this palette from the Sleek website or selected stores like Superdrug and boots :) for £7.99 or you can purchase this palette from the Cloud10 website who ship internationally :) (at the moment they are out of stock due to popular demand but I have contacted them and they said they are due a delivery in today)  for €9.99
I hope you enjoyed this review and if you have any questions comment below :)
Until next time

Catrice LE SpectaculART

Hey My Wonderful Readers How are you all doing today?
Well finally after weeks of hearing the Snow is to come it finally arrived this morning.  You can imagine all the excitement plus the twins real first time seeing snow here, but of course the snow didnt stick as it pured with rain last night and also the snow has decided to change to sleet so all we see is alot of puddles and muck and  dull weather but hey it might change.
Anyways today I am showing you the latest Catrice Limited Edition call "SpectaculART"
Bombay meets Paris. Indian opulence coupled with French modernity. On the international catwalks, fashion designers are combining sari-like skirts, intricately decorated borders and embroidered coats with accurately cut shirts and simple blouses this winter season. The colors gold, silver, burgundy and pink dominate this look.
The Limited Edition “spectaculART” by CATRICE from November to December 2012 is inspired by this crossover couture and the Indian bindi-look of the winter season 2012.
Now as always I only buy what I think I will use so let me show you what I got from the Collection
There is a few products I ended up not picking up for instance
The Mousse Blush which to be honest looked like a blush I got from a previous collection and still have lots of so I passed on that
The Sheer Lip Colours there was 3 to pick from and to be honest they WERE very sheer when I swatched them they were more of a tinted lip balm which I have too many of and the colours didnt really convince to to buy them.
And lastly I only bought 1 shade out of the 5 shades of Nail Polishes available as the shades look alot like some I already have in my huge collection.
So lets get on with the Items I did Get :)
Lashes to Impress :)
The moment i saw these I just had to pick them up.  You see I have a love for Single lashes more so than strip lashes.  I always have as I prefer to have control Of where I want them.  I think they are great for both everyday and night time looks.  Dont get me wrong I do Like strip lashes but I feel Single Lashes dont feel so heavy.
The Lashes come in 3 rows each one different lengths and different widths.  You also get lash glue which to be honest I never really use glue that comes with lashes as I always use the one lash glue which is Duo Lash Glue its the best :)  The packaging these lashes come in is quite good and sturdy so you can take them anywhere without them getting damaged :) For only 4 euro I recommend you pick them up
Next Items I got
Pure Chrome Eyeshadows
These Little Beauties were the first thing noticed and grabbed every shade.  For only 4 euro per eyeshadow I just couldnt pass them would you?  Just look at the design of these beauties they certainly look pricier than they were thats for sure.  The funny thing I noticed about these eyeshadows is a dint in them and obviously its part of the design you will see in the closer picture its like a finger dent in every one of them sunny eh?
Another funny thing I noticed was on the site these eyeshadows are named but on the eyeshadows themselves there is no names but thats only a minor thing right?
So let me show you the shades up close
01 Artfully Lustrous
This is a stunning Green with golden shimmer.  The finish is sort of metallicy but not overly.  This is pigmented once a good primer is used but it does need a little bit more effort than the rest.  Once a primer is used this looks stunning :)
02 Bombay Bauble
When I seen this shade at first I actually thought "What could I actually call this shade" In the pan it looks like a grey/silver but when swatched it actually has grey/taupe/dark brown with multi coloured shimmers :) This is a stunning shade for a dark smokey eye and looks stunning applied damp you could actually get away with this on its own.  Its very pigmented and takes very little to achieve a look.  This will need a good primer for the shadow to hold onto if your not applying it wet as you will experience fall out otherwise
03 Treasure It
This is oh so pretty just look at it in the pan never mind the swatch of it :)  This is a stunning metallic Silver with the teeniest tiniest multi-coloured micro shimmers.  This is full of pigmentation and looks stunning dry or wet Love it :)
04 Artfully Lustrous
This is such a stunning shade yes I know its a light shade but it works wonders for your eyes.  Its stunning as a highlight for the inner corners of your eyes to make them look more awakes, its great for under the brow.  Its also great of a highlight on top of your cheek bones :)  Its a stunning sparkly champagne shade.  I love to use this on its own on the lid with a nice thick winged liner look.  You cant go a miss with this eyeshadow for sure
Next up is
Highlight Powder in Artful Lustrous
To be honest I have no Idea why I bought this as I have so many highlight powders especially from Catrice but when I seen it in the store I couldnt help but be dragged in by the light hitting the pan.  The golden shimmers called out to me say "buy me" and of course i did.  To be honest it didnt wow me.
Its a stunning champagne highlight with a golden sheen when swatched and would be a great highlight for everyone but for it its far too sheer and i also found it a little on the chalky side which is surprising for Catrice because normally their highlighters are quite good but as i said its sheer and needs quite a few swatches before appearing on the skin the photo below is taken in direct sunlight and swatched about 4 to 5 times.  This highlight i suppose would be good for everday use but to be honest this is one I do regret buying as I have plenty of highlights that do a better job
Next up is
Superfine Eyeliner Pen
At first when I seen the tip of this eyeliner pen I had huge hopes that this was going to be brilliant as you will see by the photo below It looks amazing
I as hugely disappointed when I got this home and tried it.  The tip of the pen is flimzy and bends a little and the pigmentation isnt exactly brilliant either.  At first I thought maybe it needs a few swatches before it works properly so I drew a few lines to get it started but no still the same this will be ok for everyday use but nothing more in my eyes another disappointing product for me im afraid
And lastly
Ultimate Nail Lacquer in "Soulful"
I love Catrice Nail Polishes Always have since I started buying them and have quite a few in my collection.  They are just amazing quality for the price and you get quite alot for only 2.51 euro how could you pass them.  Out of the 5 shade to choose from in this collection This shade stood out to me the most as the rest looked alot like shades I had in my collection already
I am so pleased I got this shade now as its a fantastic dark burgandy with tiny golden shimmers that is only noticable in sunlight.  This took 2 coats but I like to apply a 3rd to make it last longer.  Its absolutely stunning
Overall I am really happy with the eyeshadows they are absolutely stunning and well worth every cent.
The lashes are brilliant they feel soft and are very comfortable I did not try the glue but I am sure it would be good enough to use if you hadn't any other glue.
The nail polish as you can tell I love :) They never disappoint me :)
The highlighter is not the worst I have bought but to be honest I don't see myself rushing to use it often I just find it too sheer but it might be more noticeable on a woman of colour.
The eyeliner pen is another I will not be rushing to use and will probably end up throwing it away as its just too patchy and too time consuming to apply to make it look noticeable.
I hope this review was helpful to all you Catrice lovers out there.
Have any of you tried these yet?
What do you think of this Limited Edition :)
Until Next Time

Catrice LE Hollywood's Fabulous 40ties

Inspired by legendary film and style icons like Katharine Hepburn, Ingrid Bergmann and Marlene Dietrich, the Limited Edition “Hollywood’s FABULOUS 40ties” by CATRICE whisks you away to the glamorous world of the 1940’s this September and October 2012. This golden era is also celebrating its comeback on the international catwalks with a modern interpretation of the feminine clothing style. As a tribute to independent women, CATRICE combines feminine, warm red shades like rosé, rosewood and cherry red with soft nude, beige and brown tones as well as purple. For a stylish appearance à la Hollywood…

Hello my beautifuls how are you all doing today :) I have to admit I am a little slow with showing you this New Limited Edition as I had a crazy week plus I hadn't realised that it arrived to my local pharmacy until a week after it arrive :( But hey most of the items were still there apart from one in which is what I wanted the most but it doesnt matter :)
I have to say I am well impressed with the selection of this Limited Edition and the fact its aimed at 40's style and shades :)
Now of course like always I only bought the items i thought i would use the most and again I did not got for the 5 nail polishes as I have way too many nail polishes as it is and none of them really jumped out at me even though they looked fantastic.
There was also an Eyebrow Lifter available in which i passed on as i still have my elf one and to be honest dont even use that I prefer the good old concealer and highlight job.
And lastly there was a High Gloss Lip Topcoat and Gloss in which was just a simple clear gloss that I also have plenty of so I decided to pass on that one too
So let me show you what I did get :)
The Absolute Eye Colour Quattro in "She's a Lady"
There was two of these Quads to get but the second one was sold out before I got to it :( which was a little disappointing because judging by the tester it looked absolutely stunning.  i love the combination in this quad
This is actually a nice everyday eyeshadow palette
The first shades is a lovely warm medium brown with a golden micro shimmer
The second shade is a medium matte mauve shade
The third is a dark brown
and the last is a golden highlight shade
These eyeshadows doe need a good base for them to last all day as I have found them a little harder to work with than the normal range eyeshadows from Catrice.  They are not exactly strong in pigmentation but are buildable I can tell by the other palette that it is more pigmented as it has darker more attract shades
Next item i got
Multi Colour Blush in "Gone With the wind
This was the first thing i went for the shade just attracted me straight away !!!
Doesnt it look amazing
It says on the site that they combine 2 different shades to create a beautiful rosy glow to your cheeks.  This in fact turns out to be a beautiful rosy pink matte shade and very pigmented.  Its not overly strong that you will end up applying to much but it sure is buildable.  It blends brilliantly and doesnt need alot of work to make it look natural.  It is a little chalky but nothing to complain about.  This lasted a good 6 hours on me before i noticed a little fading.  For around 4 euro this is well worth trying out
Next up is
Velvet Lip Colour
There are 4 shades to choose from and I chose the Marlene's Favourite and The Nuder Scene. I actually have two very different opinions about these two lipsticks in particular but since I do not have the other two I cant say if they are the same or not.
Starting with Marlene's Favourite
This is a stunning colour and a colour I thought might me a no no for me but infact i was wrong.  This is a stunning pinky rose shade and very pigmented.  Its soft creamy and feels sort of glossy on the lips.  i wouldnt call this matte as such but more satin as you do get the glossy look slightly from this lipstick.  It applies well and actually acts a little bit like a stain once it wears off.
Now the next lipstick did not impress or wooo me whatsoever
I actually thought this shade would be a lovely shade judging by looking at it in the store but boy was I wrong so wrong.  When i applied this on me first of all the shade was too light for me.  It made me look sick.  Then i tried applying this with mo makeup on and it made me look worse so anyone who is pale might not like this either.  Second of all the texture of this lipstick is all so wrong.  No matter what way i applied this it applied on my lips patchy.  Its like oil hiting water with this lipstick i cant understand why it applies different to Marlene's Favourite but it does.  I tried everything it was just horrible.  Hate it!!!  Plus its very drying !!!
& Lastly
The Eyebrow gel in Neutrally Brown
Ok i presumed when i bought this brow gel that there was going to be a little bit of colour added to my brows hence the name but i was wrong.  In fact the colour of the gel is very very sheer and more of a gone off greeny brown shade.  It doesn't appear on the brows so dont be put off by that.  The gel itself did work for me but i still prefer the e.l.f version better than this as i have some crazy ass brows some days and when i tried this on one of my crazy days it didnt do much but for all of you who have good brows this will work for you
The one thing I do like is the brush.  It leaves brushing my brows even easier and i will surely be keeping the brush when the product runs out :)
Well that is it for this Months Limited Edition.  Overall I am more Impressed by this version than some of the LE.  I love the Quad and so disappointed I didnt get the other one.  The lipsticks hmmm well I love the Marlene's favourite and i have heard that the other two lipsticks are good also and more pigmented so that is a good thing.  The blush well I always have been a fan of Catrice blushes for the price they do more than their money's worth and have amazing pigmentation.
Have you tried this Limited Edition Yet?
Until next time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter

Essence The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Makeup Collection

Hey my Beauties How are you all doing :)
Today I come to you with another Limited Edition from Essence :)
essence presents a stunning make-up collection inspired by the twilight saga: breaking dawn – part 2. with the mysterious colors of dawn, fantastic shimmer pigments as well as dark, dramatic effects and blood-red products for your lips and cheeks, essence is offering true vampire power for all girls – until the break of dawn…
I was quite excited to see what Essence had come up with as part of this theme and I was even good enough not to have a sneak peak on their site :)  When I went to the counter literally all I could see was shimmer and glitter which I suppose is part of the Winter/Christmas season so I had to try some of them.  Now again i did not buy every shade or everything but i will let you know what i am missing as always :)
So lets start off with the blush :)
Breaking Dawn Blush in 01 Renesmee Red:  Now the moment i seen this I had to have it.  This is a perfect blush for the Winter season and I know i will use it on a regular basis.  There is only one blush in this collection.  Now I know what you are thinking "Gosh it looks so red I couldnt try this" But I promise its not as harsh as it looks :)  Its a orangey red shade and has little tiny tiny micro-shimmers which are not noticeable in swatches but leaves a stunning glow.  I am loving this as the blush is so soft and pigmented and easy to blend its stunning on the cheeks too :)  This cost me about 4.75 euro for 5.5 g
Nest Face product is......
Breaking Dawn Shimmer Powder 01 Bells's Secret:  Not that i have enough highlight powders in my collection I have to go and add another one lol :) What i love about this highlight is that its shimmery but not glittery :)  Its simply adds a beautiful glow to the skin :)
This cost me under 5 euro for 11g
Next up is......
Breaking Dawn Loose Pigment Eyeshadows:  There are 4 shades in this collection
01 jacob’s protection, 02 alice had a vision – again, 03 a piece of forever and 04 edward’s love.
I only picked up 2 as I wanted to see what they were like first even though they were so affordable.  You are basically getting 3 blackened shades and 1 bright gold shade.  I can not believe how pigmented these are.  The pigments are so so fine.  They cost 3.79 each for 10mls which as i said before is so so affordable
01 Jacob's Protection as you can see is a blackened emerald green with multi-coloured glitter. I love this shade
02 Alice had a vision-again:  Oh you all know at this stage I already love this hehehe.  This is a fantastic blackened purple also with multi-coloured glitter love it!!! These pigments are so fine that they will definately need something to cling to but the above swatches are made with nothing underneath so it goes to show how pigmented they are and how fantastic they will be with either a primer or base under it :) I will surely be going back to get the other shades :)
Next up is.......
Liquid Glitter Eyeliner:  I had high enough hopes for these as they looked jammed packed with lovely glitter.  There is only 2 shades of these available
01 Alice had a vision-again is a lovely sparkly purple which includes multi-coloured glitter
01 Jacob's Protection is a lovely blue shimmer
Each one comes with the tiniest brush which makes application alot easier.  Ok there is a good thing and a bad thing.  The bad thing is well if you call that is that they need a few layers before they show their potential.  The good thing is they staying power is actually quite good when you apply they stay put you get no glitter fall out
In all for 2.75 euro they are not at all bad :)
Lastly ......
Nail Polish:  These bottles remind me so much of the Catrice Nail Polishes the same size same width and even have the same new brush as them.  I love the wide brushes on the Catrice nail polishes as i have big bed nails.  For people who have small bed nails this brush might be a bit of a pain to use.  So there are 4 shades of this nail polish collection and to be honest I have been very good lately on my little ban of buying nail polishes because I just have sooooo much but i couldnt help pick of 2 of these as they looked amazing
The first shade i got is
02 Alice had a vision-again (bet you are sick of hearing that name haha but at least you will not forget it if you like it)  This is a stunning glitter purple with a dark purple base.  The first coat is sheer but with a second coat this is the finished result :)  Stunning :)
04 Edwards' Love:  Awwww I am loving this shade right now.  Even as i type this my nails are proudly glistening in the light.   Even though it seems like a normal black nail polish with silver shimmer its so pigmented and crying out for a new dress, shoes and handbag to match oh and maybe some shimmery accessories go along with it (oh sorry got stuck in the moment there haha)
These nail polishes cost around 2.79 for 10mls each a bargain in my eyes :)
Ok so there are two items i ended up leaving behind as I knew in my own heart and soul I would not use them and they were the lipstick and lipglosses.
The Lipstick looked like it was a sheer goldy shade with shimmers not my cuppa tea but i will be interested to find out anybody elses reviews on it
The lipglosses hmmmmmm they were a little bit too sparkly for me but they do look lovely :)
So that is it everyone that is the Essence, The twilight saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Makeup Collection LE.  Have you tried these yet.  I know that they are available in America in stores like Ulta :)
I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post
I hope you are all well
