The Body Needs Crush Pot Pressed Eyeshadow Review Part 2

Hey my beauties How are you all doing today :)
Its Monday and the kiddies are gone back to school after a 2 week break and not a moment too soon if you ask me lordy how bored does kids get after a few days off school is unreal.  They never seem to be entertained too long with what they have which is alot more than what i had when i was a kid aka Nintendo ds's, dvd's, phones, bikes, go-carts etc the list goes on and on but no thats not entertaining enough lol I think its just routine they are very quick to get used to school time and play after school but having a full day of free time seems to get to them alot lol :)  They baffle me sometimes :)
Anyways sorry I im babbling on with the review :)
YES I DID IT AGAIN I got more of  the Crush Pot Pressed Eyeshadows from the body needs website.  I just couldn't resist the tempting 40% at the time and seeing as I have a good experience with the last batch i got I just had to buy more for my collection :)
If you missed my last review on the first batch I got click here to check it out :)
  • Each of these little beauties cost $3.99 each and are fitted into a 26 mm pan.
  • This means they fit perfectly into a MAC Palette :)
  • They are about 2g of product each
  • They are magnetic and will stick to any palette with a magnetic plate but if you were to place these in a MAC palette you will have to purchase the magnet separate in which you can get them here from the body needs website they only cost $1.99
So let me go ahead and show you the shades I chose this time around :)
Troubled Tart:  On the site this is described as a Burnt Frost Rose Shade.
Wow is this shade beautiful.  I love using this in the crease and on the bottom lash line when wearing a brown smokey eye.  It shade is so easy to work with and very very pigmented its soft creamy and needs very little to achieve the look you want with it :) top marks for sure on this one :)
Blackened Maroon:  I Love these blackened shades I have quite a few from the last haul and i love them :) they are great to use at night especially.
Oh this shade is AMMMMAAAZING!!!!!! I love it :)  Its not only pigmented soft and creamy it looks stunning even on its own :)  This is a black purple brown shade with sparkle
Tricked:  This is a stunning bronzed brown it would put you in the mind of Half Baked from the Naked palette only a little on the darker side :)  Let me tell you now this shade is pigmented you would actually get away with wearing no primer with this its stunning and so easy to work with I love it :)
Blue Brown Sparkle:  This is described as a deep rusty brown that reflects green, brown and silver sparkle.  Hmmmmm Nice shade not so nice to work with to be honest.   I have tried this on its own and its just way too chalky for me its a no no for me but if any of you all out there has this shade and know how to make it work let me know :) because I find it stunning and unique :) With a primer it does work a little better as I will show you the difference in a picture below
Goddess:   A Very sparkly Gold.... Again this shade is very very chalky but alot easier to work with than Blue Brown Sparkle..... With a primer this looks stunning its not as creamy as the others but maybe that because of the extra sparkle in it :)
Love it :)
Tropic Heat:  I love the name :) so so suits the eyeshadow..... As described a mid-toned rose with copper sparkle...... I know You would get confused when you look at the pan it looks like a copper shade with gold sparkles and it sure surprises you when you swatch it thats for sure......This is another chalky shade and will need a primer for it to work but its so so pretty and again unique I dont have a shade like this and I love that :)
Autumn:  This is a matte light brown shade with a red undertone.  This is is lovely but takes alot to coax out of the pan :( Mattes are usually hard to work with anyway even with a primer it takes a good few applications before you get any colour pay off.  I do like to use this mostly as a day time eyeliner in which i dampen my brush to use and it works perfect that way :)
Vampy:  A Deep Matte Maroon shade.  Again because its matte its hard to work with but a little better than Autumn.  This shade is just beautiful perfect autumn shade :) aswell as that its perfect for a smokey eye.
Mosi:  This is a deep matte teal shade :) I thought this would be a great shade for a pop of colour to a smokey eye.  This turns out to be light a dusty and looks fab on the lid.  Again a hard shade to work with but is beautiful once applied :)
Obscene:  A Deep Pink Purple with silver shimmer.  Boy oh boy is this pigmented.  It only needs the tiniest amount to do the whole lid.  A stunning shade and really makes my hazel eyes pop.  It can be a little chalky but not enough to give out about I love this shade :) :)
This is a Picture of Of the 3 chalkiest shades with and without a primer
Over all of course I love these eye-shadows I think they are amazing value For what you are getting.  The Mattes on the other hand are best left alone in my opinion as they are just too hard to work with but if you wanted mattes there is pigments of each shade available so you could easily opt for that :)  That's what I intend on doing in my next future purchase.
What I love about these is that they fit into most palettes especially the UNII Palette in which I have filled up with just The Body Needs Crush Pot eye-shadows :) :)
Have you tried these yet?
Until Next time

The Body Needs Lip Lusters in Cupids Crush & Chic Flick

Hello my wonderful readers how are you all doing today :)
Wow it feels like I havent done a review in ages as I have had such a busy family long weekend and you do not find the days flying by.  I cant believe that there is less than 2 days until my giveaway ends either where did the time go .  Plus its the 1st of April how crazy its that.
I hope you all had a lovely Easter and got plenty of choc to much on :)
So todays review is on the 2 new Lip Lusters from The Body Needs I have added to my collection.  I actually cant pin point when exactly I purchased these I would say maybe about 3 months ago but it was around the time The Body Needs had 40% off everything on their site.
This is not my first time experiencing the Lip Lusters in fact I included 2 shades I got as samples in my 28 days of kisses challenge I done Check it out where I review 2 shades Tokyo Pink and Do That Voodoo both shade I love.  Check out other reviews I have done on products I have purchased from their site.
Each Lip Luster comes in a 10mm diameter slimline tube.  In each Tube you get 4g of lip product but wait for the price :) the price is only $2.75 each which works out at only 2 euro each.
The best thing about the body needs lip lusters is some of them are Mac Dupes how nice is that.

So let me show you my 2 new shades :)
CUPIDS CRUSH
This is an absolute stunning Light peach Pink shade.  I am amazed at how similar it is to Mac's Angel Lipstick on this is a little on the sheerer side.  I am in love with this shade. Its a stunning nude shade for everyone even people with a fair skintone.  It is a little sheer to apply at first but is also build able   I love wearing this with a smokey eye or on days I just want a tint of colour on the lips.  Its smooth creamy and very moisturising.  Lasting power is between 2-4 hours depending on how pigmented you apply it I love to apply a lip pencil to my lips before applying this so that it lasts much longer which it does :)  I can guarantee this is a very popular shade to sell I love it :)
Lastly is
CHICK FLICK
Again another stunning shade A Medium Rose Mauve Pink as described on the site. This shade is a perfect summer shade and also for everyday wear.  Its bright and cheerful and makes the face alot more bright looking.  Again this has a sheer beginning but builds up beautifully.  This can be worn on its own or over a matching lipstick.  Its again very moisturising.
Over all like before I amvery impressed with the Lip Lusters they are not only affordable but they also are very pigmented, moisturising creamy and soft.
I know they do not look like they are going to last but surprisingly they last alot longer than you expect for the price you cant complain plus they fit even in the skinniest clutch or purse you have  (you know for those nights where you have the smallest bag ever and you can even fit your favourite lipstick in it because its too bulky) well let me tell you these lip luster will not let you down in that department lol
I will surely be keeping my eye out for another offer and as soon as there is one I am buying more of these babies.  I hear the question floating "Why is she waiting for an offer instead of just buying off the site" well the shipping that's the answer........ It is a little on the expensive side in my opinion so if you were to buy you are better off waiting for A) a discount code and B) when you know you will be buying in bulk that way you will not notice the shipping which usually costs me about 10 euro which is steep but I do take advantage dont you worry :)
So that is it everyone what do you think of the shades :)
Have you tried these yet :)
Here is a Picture of me wearing Cupids Crush which is my favourite out of the two.
Until next Time

Monday Makeup: Paddy's Day Look :)

First of all let me begin with showing you my kiddies St Patricks Day looks lol
They were so so cute that day as they alway are :) :)
As You all know St Patricks Day (paddy's day not Pattys) is a huge thing in Ireland :)
Especially with kids :)
The more done up they are they better so they had their hair sprayed
Tatto's (not real ones of course) on their faces
Cool T-shirts and hats for the day :)
Now of Course mammy has to take part too :)
So here is my look for the day :)
Of course my hair had to be a little on the messy I had just washed it and it went a little cray cray while getting the kiddies ready the joys of motherhood eh?
So I have decided to take part in this new thing called Makeup Monday where everyone shares a look they have created in the week and share what they created :)
I really want to get involved in this one because to be honest its giving me a kick in the ass to start showing looks (even if they are not professional) as some of you might actually like them plus I have been asked so so so many time when I am going to start doing tutorials as you are liking the looks I post up on my facebook page.  I suppose in some sense its sort a confidence thing as I am self teaching and have learned alot and got a little more confident in creating looks but feel I am just not 100% confident enough to do tutorials yet so maybe this might be what will get me started :)
Now Makeup Monday doesnt have to be just on looks created it can be about anything even reviews but I have taken it into my head its for looks created so that it will give me the inspiration to share looks I have tried out :)   If you want to get involved click the Makeup Monday picture on my side bar or click here
So the look of the day is of course consisting of greens :)
I love greens but find it hard sometimes to wear them as some greens do clash with my eye colour which is hazel
So the eyeshadows I used are from two different palettes
After Priming my lid
  • I applied the top left shade which is a matte cream shade all over lid up to the brow bone
  • Then I mixed the top right shade which is a frosty champagne and the bottom 3rd shade which is a stunning gold together and applied that to the first inner 1/3 of the lid
  • and lastly from this coastal scents palette I took that stunning minty green shade with golden shimmers the first shade on the 2nd row and applied it to the centre of the lid and to the bottom lash line
  • For blending out any harsh lines i simply used the matte cream shade on the top row
  • Going to my Unii Palette which i filled with my the body needs crush pot eyeshadows

  • I applied the Last shade "Blackened Emerald" which is a sunning emerald green with black undertones I applied most of the shade to the outer corner and blended out into the crease this is an absolute stunning shade :)
  • lastly I applied the 2nd shade "Blackened Teal" to the outer V and outer 1/3 of my bottom lash line
  • And I blended altogether :)

I applied my current favourite gel liner by Catrice cosmetics and then decided the shadows were not shimmery enough ;) so I got my NYX Candy glitter Eyeliners out and chose the obvious one for this look :) "Jade Green" and applied that over the eyeliner on my top lash line ;)
My camera really doesnt do this look justice but its to give you an idea of what it looked like as the lighting was so dull due to typical Irish weather its the best i could do :) plus i had 4 kiddies pulling out of me to hurry up so we could go to the parade while i was taking the photos lol
So thats my paddy's day look

#28 Days of Kisses *Day 6 Lipstick Tag

Hello my fantastic readers how are you all doing today :)
Wow 2nd post of the day I am surely on the ball :)
Think I have had too much caffeine lol
Anyways today is DAY 6 of the Lipstick Tag aka #28 days of kisses :)
What do you all think of it so far I would love some feed back :)
Todays post I am actually going to show you 2 lip shade but from the same company :)
This company I have reviewed about before and I am sure you will remember I got some eyeshadows and some Mac Lipstick samples which you were all amazed by
Well this company actually makes their own lip products too and I Have never actually gotten around to reviewing them even though I have had them for quite some time.  Its not that i dont like them no no its just you ever get a time were you forget about a product then get re introduced and suddenly remember wow I really like these why havent I showed these off.  Well thanks to this tag I have that chance :)
So the brand or company I am taling about is The Body Needs .  I have already went into who they are and here is a link to their facebook page to give you a little more insight to who they are and what they sell.  I have purchased off them a few times and each time has been a pleasure.  They are lovely people and I will always go back to them if I need something new in fact because I have tried these lip products out again I shall be making an order sooner than we think :)
Anyways The Body Needs make a lip product Called Lip Lusters and I was luck enough to be sent 2 samples with my last order which was so sweet of them.  The shades in all honesty wouldnt have bee shades I would have went for but I am glad I had a chance to finally try shades that are out of my comfort zone :)
As I stated above these are only samples i got but i have to admit the sample sized are amazing generous.  They are going to last me a while :)
There is about 40 shades to choose from and the 2 shades I got was
Tokyo Pink and Do That Voodoo :)
Tokyo Pink:  This is a shade you will either love or hate for sure.  When I seen this shade I thought of Nicki Minaj :) This is definitely her colour of lipstick :)
On the site this is said to be a dupe for the Mac Saint Germain Lipstick.  I haven't got that lipstick to compare but I have seen swatches and I have to admit its a brilliant brilliant match.  This is a stunning very bright Pastel Pink shade Wow this is one shade you wouldnt have seen me wearing ever in my life and at first I thought no hate it but to be honest especially today I have had fun wearing this shade I didnt apply it too heavy and its actually a really nice shade even for my skin tone :)   Its a stunning shade for the spring and summer months if you dare to wear it that is.  ;)
Do That Voodoo:  This is described as a cool light brown on the site but to be honest to me its more of an orange toned red with maybe a slight brownish undertone too.  Ladies this is the most nicest shade for this month in particular.  The shade is eye catching but not OTT.  It has medium coverage and also leaves a stain behind after it fades a little.  I absolutely love this shade as it brightens up any look you have going on.  If you are one who is afraid of the whole red lipstick thing you can surely get away with this as it will suit all skin tones.  It gives a nice glossy finish and make those lips looking kissable which is well suited for the 14th eh?
The texture on these lip lusters are amazingly creamy soft moisturising and ever so silky.  They sort of remind me of the Mac lipsticks only these are more moisturising than so Mac lipsticks that I have tried.
The quality of these lip lusters are amazing and to be honest if you blindfolded a pro make-up artist or any lipstick pro and asked them if these felt like a drug=store or high end lipstick I am sure the votes would be more to high end that's for sure.  I found these lasted about 4-5 hours before I felt i needed to top up but as i said they both leave a stain behind so you will have a tint to your lips all day long
I have absolutely not one bad thing to say about these what's so ever.  I actually think I would prefer the lip lusters in the sample packaging rather than the tube as I find them so much easier to store and easier dipping my lip brush in is like a dream.
The only maybe downfall I have is if you were not making a big order from this company you will find shipping a little expensive but all my purchases so far has been when there was either 40% or 50% etc. off so the shipping doesn't not feel so bad with such big codes.  Keep you eye on the facebook page or even the site for offers.
So thats it for day 5 I hope you enjoyed
Check out the ladies who have also taken part in #28Kisses posts you might see something you want to try out for yourself :)

The Body Needs Mac Lipstick Samples Review

    TheBodyNeeds
Hey my fantastic gorgeous readers How are you all doing :) :)
Boy is the weather changing for the first time in 6 months I have actually lit the fire this evening.  I could actually feel my poor ears were actually sore today because of the cold wind :(
Anyways hopefully it will change a little in the next few days :)
Following up on my last review of The Fabulous Crush Pots from The Body Needs, today i am reviewing the Mac Lipstick Samples i also got with that order.
The reason I went for Mac lipstick sample was because to be honest i find mac lipsticks to be expensive and i feel its a huge risk buying a lipstick for that price and it ending up been the wrong shade for you I would really really hate that.  I also have had a taste of what Mac Lipsticks are like and how they feel and i have to day I like them.  Of course i am a bargain hunter and i love drugstore makeup more than anything but if there ever was a time i wanted to splurge on a Mac Lippie at least i will know by having these samples what they look like and what suits me.
Now obviously there is ALOT more shades of lipsticks by Mac but i picked some of the most hyped shades out there just to see if they are my shades
So you can get these samples for $3.79 each and there is over 120 shades of the real Mac lipsticks to choose from
For that price you are getting a .5g sample in a slimline lipstick tube.
The base of the tube is filled with clear lipstick base to prevent waste of MAC product in the twist mechanism.
Tubes are labeled with product name and are guaranteed authentic.
So i got these at a cheap price because there was 40% off everything on that site when i got them.  Otherwise i wouldnt have got as many :)
Anyways i think i cleared that up now on with the shades :) :) :)
I chose 6 samples 4 of which i have always wanted to try out and heard so so much about.  The other 2 i just liked the look of.
Mac sheen Supreme Lipstick in Blossom Culture ( comes in a long slim black packaging a lipstick range released about a year ago) :  Now this i havent heard much about.   This is described as a soft pink with pearl. This shade is from the permanent range which is a bonus so if you like the look of it you can easily get it.
To me this shade is on the rosy side of pink.  I found this to be quite good with pigment but to be honest if i did not conceal my lips i wouldnt find too much pigmentation from this lipstick.  This shade is perfect for an everyday wear.  Its vanilla scent is not at all over powering and i find it wears off after a while.  I found this lasted on my lips for about 5 hours.  To be honest in my opinion this lipstick did not WOW me I didnt feel like i should go out there and get this which says alot but it is still a beautiful lipstick.
    Next up:
Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup:   Ok you all have heard about this im sure i know i have seen many reviews and many youtube videos with this mentioned in it but i had to try it out for myself :).  This is definately a blue toned pink which i was actually concerned about as i find sometime blue toned lipsticks dont actually suit me but that's just my own opinion.  As i am new to mac lipsticks in particular when i first applied this I had a total different opinion to it.  At first when i applied this i was amazed how heavily it applied as its so pigmented and creamy but when on my lips it felt sort of dry and i also found it to sink into my lines a little it didnt feel right so what i done the next time was applied a lip balm on before i done my makeup and wiped off the excess oils before applying and it made a huge difference.  So word of advice when it comes to the Mac Cremesheen collection....make sure you ex-foliate and moisturise your lips before usage.  Now i found this a very strong baby pink shade when applied heavy but applied lightly its fantastic i love it and its definitely one i would purchase in the future.  This is perfect for fair to medium skin tones also :) :)
    Next
Mac Lipstick in Hue:  A Soft pale pinky nude.  This is yet another hugely raved lipstick which i was also a bit hmmmmm about.  Yes it looks fantastic on the likes of Kim Kardashian and all of those celebrities but would it actually make me look dead that was the question.  I have seen lots and lots of reviews pictures and even youtube videos with this on the person and i thought wow it looks amazing a perfect lipstick for everyday and with a smokey eye the perfect nude in other words.  So This is from the glaze collection as you all probably know.
This is sheer but buildable and to be honest I Love it Its creamy but not as cream as the cremesheen collection so its more semi-opaque.
    Next
Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Shy Girl:  A Creamy neutral coral beige.  This is one of the lipsticks i really wanted to try out and very nearly bought but wasnt sure if it was the right shade now i know what its like Its on my wishlist for sure :).  Its a perfect shade to wear with a smokey eye and also to wear everyday.  I love it :) :) This is so perfect even for anyone who is fair skinned
    Next
Mac Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Full Speed:  I am well impressed with the pigmentation of this little beauty.  This swatch is only one little light swipe :) you can even see how creamy it is in the photo.  This is a very pretty coral pink shade with tiny tiny specks of gold micro shimmers :) I showed you a heavy swatch and will show you a light swatch on my lips.  I love this shade its compliments my skin tone :) the only thing is its drying.  Its moist going on but once soaked in it dries so lip balm before it ladies :)
    & Lastly
Mac Lipstick in Angel:  This is a frost lipstick which normally i wouldn't go for but to be honest its not like normal drugstore frost lippies and thats for sure.  This is a soft pink shade.  To be honest this shade has been on my wishlist for so so long this and Nars Turkish Delight.  These 2 are supposed to be amazing together and this is one of the duos Kim Kardashian loves to wear and i have to say looks incredible on her.  So the lipstick itself has for sure impressed me even more to the point that this is going to be the first I will buy :) :) I love it.
So that is the last of the Mac samples i got.  To be honest i am well impressed with Angel i love it and surely will buy it for my collection another of my favourites is Shy girl :)
There is another reason i got these samples along with my order :)  I have come to the conclusion that been subscribed to GlossyBox is going to come to a hault for 2 reasons:

    1.  I have found that the samples i have been getting almost half of them is not been used and i must have a box full upstairs in my room that i havent even looked at yet WHAT A WASTE
    2.  15 euro is alot of money and to be honest I find that im not as excited about the glossybox as i used to.  Like i used to meet the postman at the gate for my box now i could put it on the table and not even open it until the next day which says alot.  Now its not saying anything bad about glossybox but I have been thinking i would much rather spend the 15 euro buying a few Mac Lipsticks than getting a box full of samples and you know what that's exactly what i am going to do :) :) plus i would really like to get a few Mac eyeshadows aswell :)

So that's it everyone that's my review on these samples and i thank The Body Needs for coming up with this idea of doing Mac Samples because its a great way of trying the product without loosing out on so much money.  To be honest because of the samples I would safely say that the Mac sheen supreme lipstick wouldn't be ones i would buy full sized mainly because the lasting power isn't exactly great and there are drug store lipstick out there that are better.
Have you a favourite Mac Lipstick?  Have you any suggestions in what shades i should try next?
    Until next time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter
