Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent

Hello my beauties I hope you are all well
Today's review is on the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent
I have been looking for a transparent powder for a while now and of course its hard to find a good one.  Why Transparent I hear you ask?!  Well I think everyone should have a transparent powder in their kit especially you beauty lovers who have alot of makeup.
We all tend to go for powders that match out foundations (which can be a pain as it is hard to find) or even powders that are lighter or darker than or foundations but sometimes or most of the time the only reason we need a powder is to set out makeup or to touch up out oily t-zones.
That is where a transparent Powder comes in.  It adds no colour only sets our makeup and gets rid of that dreaded shine we tend to get.  It doesn't add that texture we end up getting especially when using powders after a few hours.  Or it doesn't give you that cakey look that some powders can end up giving you.  Also when we powder after a few hours we tend to notice after powdering that it has soaked into our fine lines and enlarged pores.  Not a pretty sight at all eh?
Well with Summer in and The weather getting warmer (well not here but maybe where you are Typical Irish weather huh)  this is the time we need our compacts more as we tend to get very oily and shiny in heated weather
I had to go for Rimmel Stay Matte as I've heard it is pretty good, in fact i have heard no bad reviews so far about it

So let me begin by telling you what skin type I am.  I have combination to dry skin and I thought at first that this little beauty might me a no no for me because its Called Stay Matte but it is depending on what foundation I use I do get oily on my t-zone and sometimes on my cheeks as I suffer with enlarged pores.  My enlarged pores are more noticeable when the weather is warm and I hate it.  So basically I got this for that reason
The packaging is very lightweight.  The lid is twist able but be careful when carrying this around in your bag as it can break if your bag is stood on or thrown.  Apart from that the packaging is no that important as its to be expected with such an affordable price.

The Powder will well compacted and has the rimmel design printed on it.  Rimmel Claim that this powder will giving up to 5 hours natural shine control and helps minimise the appearance of pores.  As this shade is Transparent some people have said that there is a tint of colour to it.  I find its more on the white side than colour side

Do not worry though as this white shade will not lighten your foundation it blends out into a transparent finish.
Overall i have had a great experience with this powder I have used it to set my makeup and noticed my foundation has stayed matte throughout the day.  I have also used this powder to set my concealer under my eyes and its perfect and does not settle into my fine lines.  As for minimising my pore it surely does that :)  I found this powder is not chalky and while using a large powder brush it picks us just the right amount of product to do my face.  Which mean no wastage of product.  My face does not feel dry after using it which is also a bonus as I hate that dry feeling you do get from some powders.  I have put this to the test by wearing a BB cream which has a dewy finish on a day that I knew I was going to be cooking alot :)

So picture this:  A full face of Makeup,  Cooking in a medium side kitchen, all kitchen windows and doors shut cooking for 2 hours straight, lots of steam, and of course the range fire lit.  Yes you can imagine my face after that if I did not set my makeup.  Well Surprisingly My face stayed matte I was shocked and happy all at the same time :)  Delighted with this product and highly recommend this to anyone who has oily problems :)
This picture was taken 2 hours after that engorged heat in the kitchen as you can see I am a little shiny under the eyes but nothing cray cray apart from that I stayed shine free LOVE IT !!!!!

Anyone with dry skin will not benefit from this of course :) as it is a mattifying product.  I did find this powder did me throughout the day even after 10 hours of wear but if you are extra oily you will probably need to touch up after about 7 hours wear .  I even used this powder on my younger sister as she is oily and acne prone and as I applied a BB Cream on her she needed something to set that into place to last her for the night as BB creams can be quite shiny especially on oily skin.  I also had to use this to set her concealer for her blemishes and it did not cake up once.  here is her finished look as you can see she is naturally shine in the first photo and with wearing a BB cream made her look extra shiny but thanks to the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent it made her look more natural and shine free without the heaviness of foundation and coloured powders.  Just to show you how matte and natural this powder is I used the flash of my camera to take the 2nd photo

I hope you enjoyed this review and let me know if you have tried this out yet :)
Until next time

Rimmel Glam'eyes HD 5 pan Eyeshadow Palette in Brixton Brown

Hello My beauties I hope you are all well today
Well you know the way you go into a drugstore/pharmacy to get one particular non beauty related thing but of course you notice the make-up and beauty products on the way to that one item and spend literally 20 minutes browsing telling yourself "no no I don't need this" Hmmmm well How often did you actually come out with just that one item that you went in for.
That of course is not what happened to me I came out with more than one item well I just had to avail of the 3 for 2 offer in Boots on make-up and hair product I just had to !!!!!
It for the love of my blog people !!! :)

So Anyway I got myself a back up of one of my favourite foundations and then got myself a lovely new blush and of course I just had to pick up this beautiful looking 5 pan eye-shadow palette which were only recently released in October of this year

There are 4 shades to choose from
Golden eye which is a mixture of silvers blacks and a golden shade
Foggy Grey which is a mixture of greys and browns
Pinkadilly Circus is a mixture of greys pinks and purples
and Brixton Brown which I got :)
Each palette costs €8.95 and around £6.99

This stunning little palette holds 5 shades of eyeshadows and also a sponge tipped applicator.  Its amazing how much you get out of one little palette.  This palette is even suitable to fit into you purse never mind you handbag.
Even though there are 4 beautiful shades to choose from This one called out to me more The shades look amazing and perfect for Autumn
Let me show you a closer look

Starting from the right hand side
Shade 1 is a stunning shimmery champagne shade I did find this shade to be a little clumpy but once you wear a primer or a base this is an amazing shade for highlighting or even as a lid colour.
Shade 2:  This is a matte taupe brown suitable for blending out harsh lines or even as a lid colour
Shade 3:  This is a stunning medium brown with a slight coppery undertone to it very pigmented and a little goes a long way
Shade 4 (middle) wow this shade is stunning shimmery coppery red shade I love using this in the crease as it works well with all the shades applied again a very pigmented colour and a little goes a long long way
Shade 5:  Is a deep chocolate brown again hugely pigmented and works well in the crease for definition or in the over V I also like to use this as a day time liner as its not too dark but still defines the eyes

The best thing about these shadows is you can also use them wet.  The above pictures are swatched dry and without primer underneath I swatched the shades a couple of times over each other to show how build-able they are.
From using this palette I would rate it 4/5 docking one for the fact that some of the need a little building up but once applied stay put for the day :)  They blend well and all shades look amazing together.  You can also get a number of different looks using this palette alone both for day time and night time.
I am well impressed with this palette so much so I am going back to get the rest to try out :)
For the price you are getting a good bargain and the fact that there is a 3 for 2 means I will get one free yeeeeeee :)
Have you tried the New Rimmel Glam'eyes HD 5 Pan Palettes Yet
I looked up for Any of my US readers and you Can purchase these Palettes from the Feel Unique Site :)
Until Next Time

Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer

Hey my beauties How are you all doing today :) :)
Todays review is on the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer
Eyeshadow Primers We are always on the look out for great eyeshadow primer that perform they way they should and also is easy on the pocket.   I have to admit I have tried a few budget friendly primers and 2 high end primers and use them all the time.  My current favourite budget friendly eyeshadow primer is by e.l.f Cosmetics (not the mineral line but the essential line) and my favourite high end one is the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer.  Realistic Urban Decay is very pricey and its hard to part with so much money for it alot of the time and e.l.f is and online store in which not everybody can get.  So I wanted to try out a primer that is easier to get and is available to almost everyone.  So I opted for Rimmel for my first try out :)

Rimmel London Undercover Shadow Primer is our first primer base that will reinvent your eye shadow! The lightweight silicone formula preps and smoothes lids.18-hour wear, crease-proof, smudge proof guarantee!

I purchased this from boots.ie and it cost €6.49 for 6mls of product not a bad price at all :)
The primer comes in a tube with a doe foot application for easy application.  I love the packaging as its eye catching and funky :)
First of all the primer comes out white instead of skintone colour like all the primers i have tried.  To be honest i like to use skin coloured primers because I have a little darkness on the lids and it helps conceal aswell as prime.  But putting that aside the White primer from this primer is light and blends out into nothing.  Automatically I noticed that i could see the darkness of my lids through this so unless I conceal my lids before hand this does nothing for me.

The consistency is thin and blends out very very well.   It feels smooth on the skin and certainly preps your eyes for your eyeshadow.  The one thing I have to say is that if you have any allergies to silicone you need to test this first before applying onto your eyes.

My experience with this primer has been 50/50.  This is just from my experience I found this primer disappointing in a way.  What i look for from a primer is a) making my eyeshadows last all day and b) intensifying my eyeshadows.  I found this primer did neither to be honest.  It most certainly does not intensity eyeshadows but it does allow chalky eyeshadows to cause less fall out.  If you suffer with oily lids you will not find this primer any good as I found it made my eyeshadows fade alot.  I even tried this primer under my Naked Palette shadows and my Lorac Palette shadows and and it too faded them.  I do find this good on lids that are less oily as I for sure tested that out on somebody else and they did report back that their eyeshadows lasted all day long.
Overall this primer is good for people who have no discolouration on the lids, non oily lids and just need something to make your eye shadows last all day.  Especially teens or anyone in their early 20's.   For anyone else I think this would disappoint.
So thats my review for today I hope you found this helpful and if you have tried this before let me know what you think
Until next time

Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara

Well Hellllloooooo Everyone How are you all today?  Wow the weather is vigorously change its crazy how cold its got in recent day and to be honest its looking like we are going to have a hard cold winter :(
We may start getting the winter woolies out and of course start shopping for new ones ;) Any excuse to go shopping eh ladies :)
Ok so today I bring you yet another Rimmel review as you have probably seen from my last review I reviewed the latest Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Eyeliner that was only released in recent months.   Well I just had to pick up their newest Mascara which was released at the same time.
I was hoping I would get a better outcome from this than what i got from the eye-liner to be honest so if you want to find out if I did or didn't read on :) :)
Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Retro Glam Mascara - The 60s are back full swing with a thicker, fuller, wide-eyed look! A wide-eyed false lash look, fanned out volume with NO clumps!
Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara is available at superdrug Boots or any pharmacy who sell Rimmel.  I actually found this mascara to be a very reasonable and affordable price at €8.65 each for 12mls.

If you are a fan of the 60s retro makeup looks you will be just as curious as me to see if this gives you the full voluptuous lashes they had in the 60s.  I couldnt wait to try it out.  The Packaging is true retro style with its black and white design love it :)
You may notice the want is an hour glass shape which is suppose to help achieve fuller longer lashes.  Some people fear of the giant brush even I do sometimes especially when i have created a look on my eyes that I do not want ruined lol.  I do find this brush a little big but it fits perfectly for my lashes and I can instantly see and feel each and every lash been grabbed my the brush.

On the first application I could instantly see how black the mascara is it actually amazed me to be honest as its not often you get instant jet black lashes on the first coat.  I tried this without curling my lashes which is something I never do as I have stubborn straight lashes.  I noticed an instant curl also on the first coat.  I was very very impressed :)
Ok i am going to show you a photo with me wearing not makeup ok so dont get a fright and it will also explain why im not smiling hahaha  but I have applied one coat of this mascara on to show you the instant curl and blackness you will get

The formula on this mascara is very impressive i have to say normally when you first apply an mascara it can be nearly too wet and take some time to dry but with this one yes it is moist but not as much.  I did also find I made a little mess as you see in the photo and that can be hard for first timers but simply use a card of any sort place it on your lid and whip on the mascara mess free thats what I tend to do when I have a full look going on :)
I found 2 coats to be more than enough to create amazing looking lashes and I am happy to report no clumping, no flaking and no smudging :) :)  I have even been caught out in pouring rain as it is typical in Ireland lol and I found no smearing or panda eyes as a result.  :) Happy Days :)
Here is a look I done recently using the mascara and as you can see it shows amazing results

So overall as you can tell at this stage I really like this mascara and it gets a Nina's Thumbs up Well done Rimmel :) :
Have you tried this mascara yet?
What's your thoughts on it :)
Until next time

Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Eyeliner

Hello there my beautifuls.  Firsto of all I want to start off this blog post with a very big huge gigantic Thank you to all of my readers near and far who have been a great support to my from the start and thank you to all of you who have clicked that follow button because I have reached a whopping 1001 Followers today :) :) :) yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thank you Thank yo Thank you with all of my heart :)
Ok I am getting a little emotional here so I better crack on to my review before I end up with a wet keyboard and blurred up eyes lol
Its not often I keep up to date with beauty products meaning When a product is released I like to hold off a while before I buy it to see some reviews on it first but I do now and again like to be one of the first to try a Brand new product especially when its on a new release special offer :)
Today I bring to you the Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Think Eyeliner.  According to Rimmel and I quote:
3D slanted felt tip liner to draw flawless thick and thin lines!
Unique 3D applicator draws thick and thin lines
Intense colour lasts up to 24 hours
Waterproof and smudge-proof

Well sure that would be a huge dream come true for us all wouldnt it :) :) well read on to find out if their promises are actually true :)

So lets start with a little about the packaging :)   I actually like the packaging very much its a simple black pen with white writing which stands out very well.  The cap of the pen it very sturdy and clicks shut so you know its well sealed.  Which is always a bonus and great reassurance that the pen will not dry out too quick.  When you take the lid off you can instantly see there is a easy grip area another bonus from Rimmel :) :) The tip is a thick and slanted tip that allows you to apply either a thick or thin line.

Ok so lets get down to the nitty gritty part and that is I had high expectations for this eyeliner I have to admit.  I love Rimmel product always have and always will as long as they keep going with their brilliant work but I have to admit I was disappointed with this product .  Why was I disappointed?
  1. Well first of all with the adverts and the picture Rimmel was showing using this eyeliner gave me the impression that this eyeliner was going to be super black retro style.  Well in fact it is not super black nothing like what it shows up on the pictures.  You have to build it up to be as black or set it with a super black eyeshadow.   I have tried all the tricks like holding it tip down for a while and everything but the shade is still the same.  Plus there was a seal on this liner so its not that people were opening it in the store to dry it out.
  2. I like a bit of firmness in the tips of my eyeliners I have to admit but this tip is beyond that.  It is almost rock hard when using it against the eye so anyone with super sensitive eyes are going to find this uncomfortable while using it.
  3. The liner comes out patchy so if you are in a super major hurry maybe reach for something else as you need time to draw you line (without patches) with this one

On a plus note though this liner would be suitable for people who are starting out with eyeliner looks as it isnt jet black and its also good for a precise and buildable line .  It is also suitable for an everyday wear eyeliner as its not the blackest of blacks.  Plus the slant of the tip helps to draw a nice perfect cat eye look.
Another good thing is that the liner as I noticed with my eyes lasted all day without smudging at all.  Not even a movement.  I do have to admit the moment I went to wash the lines off my hand the liner faded so in theory I do not think that it is waterproof but it is long lasting.
Unfortunately for me this will not be repurchased but thats not saying you may not like it :)  If you have tried this out let me know as I would love to hear how you got on with it :)   I am really hoping I just got a badden and that there is some of you out there who have one and works great so please let me know :)  You can purchase this eye liner from any pharmacy or drug-store who sell Rimmel :) :)
Until next time

Rimmel Scandal'eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in "Nude"

Hello my beautiful readers how are you all today :)
I am sure you all agree it is very very hard to find a good pencil eye-liner that will stay on the waterline all day long plus settle on eyes that are sensitive.  To be honest I have tried alot of pencil eye-liners in my time for my waterline even ones that state they are waterproof and found they moved, faded or completely disappeared.  I am one who suffers with sensitive eyes and find anything sets my eyes watering.
I have found some pencil eye-liners to date that have agreed with my water line and stayed put all the long.  To name two in particular is my favourite Avon Super Shock Eye-liners and another is the Rimmel Scandal'eyes Waterproof Kohl Eye-liners which I already have reviewed in a previous review if you missed it check it out here I reviewed 3 different shades in that post
Seeing as I have reviewed these before I am not going to bore you all with a repeat post but I wanted to show you my new shade I have added to my collection :)

Everyone in the Beauty industry or Beauty blogging world will agree it is very hard to find this type of shade in an eye-liner from any brand.  Plus even if a Brand does this shade there is a very limited amount sold and 9 times out of 10 its very hard to get your hands on it.  I am sure alot of you out there who are not as obsessed with make-up would wonder why there is even an eye-liner this shade.  Well let me tell you having a shade like this in your collection is a must especially if you work full time long hours or even if you are a very busy mum who is on the go all the time.  Since these eye liners came out I have been wanting to get my hands on this shade and it has been hard to do so until one day I was shopping on line on boots.ie and spotted it I was over the moon so much so I ordered two of them at €5.49 each you couldn't go wrong :)

The Shade "nude" is a is a perfect eye brightener   It used to be that alot of people including myself would apply white to the waterline but to be honest i hated it as it was way to obvious on me and I just didnt like it where as with a nude shade its more natural and less obvious while your wearing it.  The nude shade is more like a skin tone shade and actually looks like a concealer.  when applied to the waterline it instantly makes you eyes look bigger and more wide open so even on your tired days applying this will instantly make you look like you have had 10 hours sleep.  Why wasn't this around when my twins was born and I was only getting an hour sleep a night for a year and half :(

This eye-liner not only doesn't well on the waterline but can be used as an eye-shadow base.  It would also be a perfect matte brow highlight shade for anyone it medium to darker skin tones   I love this and recommend everyone to try it out :)
In this photo I am wearing the liner in the waterline along with a darker shade on the lash line because i had a very bad nights sleep the night before due to dogs barking all night.  This instantly made me look more awake and ready of the day :)

Here is another photo of before and after as you will see in the first picture I look like the death warmed up with lack of sleep but with a wash of this liner it instantly wakens me up :)

Rimmel Scandal'eyes Waterproof Kohl Eye-liners are said to be the perfect dupe for Urban Decays 24/7 Eye-liners and I have to agree in my eyes there is no difference only in price tag :)
Have you tried these yet?
Until Next time

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquers in Celestial and Nude Eclipse

Hello My beauties :) :)
I am sure at this stage you are all oh so familiar with the new Rimmel Apocalips unless you have been hiding under a rock somewhere as at the moment they are been reviewed everywhere and also every time I seen to switch on the telly lately see the ad for these or even on every Magazine I read i see these on them.  If I am not mistaken they were available to buy from January of this year and of course the hype about them drew me in to try them out as any beauty blogger will do for the sake of their readers (nudge nudge wink wink )

So its said that there is 8 shades in these but anywhere around my area had only 5 to choose from which is a pity because the 3 shades that are missing is the ones I want to try too so I ended up picking "Nude Eclipse" and "Celestial"
They each cost me about 5.95 euro each which was on special offer of 2 euro off if I am not mistaken.
The packaging is so cute and funky and of course looking like you paid alot more than what they cost which is a bonus and of course it comes with a sponge top applicator in which is every better as it makes application so much easier.

Sorry about the above picture been out of focus for some reason my camera just would not focus.
Let me tell you I have falling in love with these little beauties.  Believe me when I say when you have these little beauties in your collection You will not need a lip liner, lipstick or gloss.  Apply these to you lips and your good to go day time and night time.
The pigmentations of these lip laquers are shocking and incredible.  The brighter the shade the more pigmented they are seriously ladies just swatching these only takes one shot for instant pigmentation .
You will certainly need a mirror to apply these for the fact that they are pigmented they need a little work on applying evenly.
The consistency is thick but not overly thick.  That sort of thickness where you know they are going to last for some time on the lips.  They are not sticky which is an even better bonus.
The scent of these is hard to pin point but the only thing I can think of is a slight false sweet smell that fades within minutes.  I love how this gives the colour payoff of a lipstick and a satin finish.  I found they last around 3 to 4 hours before you feel your have to top it up if you eat or drink the lasting time is less of course :)
Now for the shades I chose :)

Celestial:  This is my favourite out of the 2 This is a beautiful Mauvey Pink shade and very very pigmented but oh so flattering to anyone who wears it :)  I got so many compliments while wearing this its stunning :)
Nude Eclipse:  This was a scary shade for me to try I thought it was going to make me look like I was sick or something.  This shade will definitely make you look sick if you were very pal unless you are dolled up its certainly not going to do you for an everyday shade, but it looks absolutely stunning on the lips with a smokey eye wow ladies if you are looking for a nude lip this is the way to go.  This is a beautiful beigey Peachy Nude shade I love it :)

Here is am wearing "Celestial"
As you can see yourself they look fantastic the only fault i would have to pick would be the lasting power and the fact that that they are very transferable so no kissing or hugging anyone with white clothes lol :)
There is people who have experienced their lips getting very dry from them but I have to say i have never experienced that even with my lips been dry themselves :)
Overall I love them enough to want to buy the other shades on my wish list so that says alot :) :)
:)
Have you tried them yet :)
Until Next time

Todays review is about The New Rimmel Scandal'eyes Waterproof eyeliner pencils
These eyeliners are just released and still not available in some countries.  There are 7 shades available according to Rimmels Facebook Page but there was only 3 shades of the 7 available in my local pharmacy.  The 7 shades are:

Nude
ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner is a fine tipped, crayon type pencil available in Purple, Bronze, Black, Silver and Bright Blue that glides on easily and precisely for a flawlessly beautiful defined line. ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner works great by applying one shade, or combining several shades to create a complete and striking eye look.

Hmmmmm The question is......Does they do what they say they do !!!!!!!
The Pencils remind me alot of the Avon Supershock Eyeliners in which are my utmost favourite eyeliners to stay on the waterline which led me to ask the question "will it beat my favourite eyeliner"
So as i mentioned earlier i came across these in my local pharmacy and they were on an offer for 3.95 euro each WOWZER so i snatched the 3 without a second thought.  My usual Avon Supershock eyeliner costs me 12 euro most of the time.
So the shades are basically what they are named
The Black is Jet Black which i love and compared to my usually Avon supershock black liner its an exact match in pigmentation.  The Blackest of Black wahoo!!!!
The Bronze is fantastic it has lovely gold shimmer which really stand out but not to the point you are out like a disco ball.
The Purple oh i love it and its matte a great way to make my hazel eyes pop and so handy if you just wanted to add a pop of colour to your every day look :)
As you can see the pencil itself is thick enough to last longer before you have to pair the pencil.  Now for the formula its is amazingly creamy.  You get instant pigmentation and a little goes a long long way.  You also have enough time to smudge this baby before it sets you have at least a good 30 + seconds which is just enough time.  Beautiful !!!!
So now for the wonderful swatches :)
Dont they look Beautiful :) :)
So I know what you are all asking.....Do they actually work on the waterline.......Are they really Waterproof.....Do they smudge.....Do they last all day?????
YES......YES.....NO......YES
I have even put them to the ultimate Water test for you to see
I ran lukewarm water over these for a good 5 minutes to see if they would even melt a little (part of the sweat test also) and then i put them to the smudge test with my arm still been wet
Not even a budge from the water or the smudge test.  These babies are staying put until you use your makeup remover.  It took a nice bit of scrubbing with a sponge and soap to take these off my arm after but the best thing is that they did not leave any stain lines.  So for ones who hate waterproof makeup because of that reason will like these because they do come off easily with makeup remover.
I can not wait for the other shades to come I especially the "nude" as that will be a perfect shade for the waterline to open up your eyes.
For 4 euro these are well well worth they money and i will surely be stocking up on them they are amazing and everyone should have them in their collection.  Especially for weepy days ;)
Hot days etc
Have you tried these yet?
I really hope this review was helpful for you all
Until Next time
