Coastal Scents Interchangeable Magnetic Palette Review :)

Hello my gorgeous beauties :)  I hope you are all well :) 

Todays review is on something I have been searching for for a while now :) 

I have been looking for an empty palette that will fit most single eyeshadows from different brands :) 

You may remember me reviewing Makeup Geeks eyeshadows not too long ago in two separate posts and I have been storing them in my UNII Palettes which holds only 8 of those shadows :)  I didnt like the fact that they were separate (a little bit of OCD in me) and wanted to buy a palette that I can have them all together in.  

I also plan on buying more Makeup Geek eyeshadows which means an even bigger palette to have them together.  

I have to admit having my UNII Palettes here is great as I love how sturdy they are and how amazing they look but to be honest buying a few of them to store my single eyeshadows will cost me alot of money which I have been trying not to buy because I am saving for my new bundle of joy.  The UNII Palette are worth every cent but to buy a few at a time would really be hard on my funds.  The UNII palettes cost $29.00 each and only hold 8 eyeshadows 

I also opted to buy a Z-Palette which to my surprise was a little steep for price too.  The z-palettes come in different sizes and to buy the large one holds 20 eyeshadows and cost €25.00 to buy now I know that seems very little which I am sure it is but when you need a few of them it all adds up. 

Thats when I did a little research and found this Interchangeable Palette on the Coastal Scents website :)  I was a little nervous about buying them as I thought maybe they wouldnt work but I took my chances and bought two of them :) :) 

Each Interchangeable eyeshadow palette Costs only $9.99 each :)  A Big difference compared to the other palettes I mentions But the big Question is did it work do they hold my Makeup Geek eyeshadows ???

There are different sizes of empty palettes to choose from

1. Quad aka 4 piece is only $3.95
2. The 12 piece is $5.95 which also comes with a clear lid for the same price
3. The 28 piece (which is the one I got) is $9.99 and also comes with a clear lid 
4. Last the single which is called Go Pro is $1.95 

I wanted to get the one with the clear lid but they were sold out at the time.  The clear lid would be very ideal especially if you have alot of single eyeshadows from different brands you can tell them apart by simply looking through the clear lid but hey maybe the next time I purchase they will be available :) 

The palette itself is a very simple plain black matte palette with Coastal Scents written on the lid :)  The Palette is very lightweight even with shadows insides :)  Its also very flat which is handy for travelling :)  Inside you will see 24 empty slots in the shape of eyeshadows with an addition tiny space to slip your baby finger or the end of a brush in to take the shadows out.   What I love about this palette is that its matte which means it will not stain easily :)  

On the inside lid there is no mirror which I prefer as I want to put the names of my eyeshadows there in the order they are in the palette :)  

I was so so excited to see if my shadows would fit in this palette and was wondering how they are going to stay in there 

So I placed my first Makeup Geek eyeshadow in the first slot praying it would work :)  

And did it???? 

YESSSS!!!!! The perfect fit I mean perfect and stays put even when I turn the palette upside down :) :)  Happy Dance !!!!!!!

My other palette is for my Coastal Scents eyeshadows in which I purchased more of the same day I will give you a sneak peak.

Overall I am so happy with these palettes the fact that they are Magnetic means any single eyeshadows that measure up at 26mm's.  The only snag about these is that Mac eyeshadows will not work in these palettes not due to size but due to the magnet's polarity.  

I am definately going to purchase a few more of these to have as I plan on buying all of Makeup Geek Eyeshadows and more single eyeshadows from other companies :)  The price is amazing for these and shipping is not overly expensive too and no I never get charged customs even if I make a big order :) :)

Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Matte Lip Lacquers

Hello my beauties I hope you are all well 

Today I bring you another Makeup Revolution review this time on the Velvet Matte Lip Lacquers 

I have 2 shades of these to show you but there are 7 shades to choose from 

So grab a cuppa sit back and I hope you enjoy my review :) :) 

They cost £3 each which is a great bargain for these If i do say so myself

A long lasting lip gloss that goes on as a liquid and dries to a highly pigmented, bold matte finish which stays in place for hours! Easy to apply with the applicator to completely cover the lips. I have to say I am impressed with the outer packaging of these beauties I love the rose gold packaging which makes look like you have paid more than what you did for them.  

The Lacquers themselves come in a lipgloss type tube with a doe foot applicator.  As mentioned above there are 7 shades to choose from I of course went for one safe shade and one crazy shade haha 

The first shade is 

What I believe:  This is a beautiful peachy nude with a slight pink undertone a very warm shade that is perfect for a smokey eye look :) :) I have to admit this is alot brighter than some peachy nude lip products I have but its stunning :) :) 

Next up is 

I fall in Love :  Oh yes this is the shade I posted on facebook yesterday for all of you who are wondering :)  So bright So beautiful and Sooooooo Noticeable.  This bright cool toned cerise pink is perfect for a no makeup look day when you are not bothered about eye makeup just apply this little beauty to your lips and no one will notice you are not wearing anything on your eyes 

Well now that I have you well filled in on these shades let me tell you about my experiences with them. 

Application 

 Well as I am not one to wear matte lip products often simply leaving the matte lip wearing for special occasions etc.   I did all I was supposed to do in the sense of prepping my lips my ex-foliating them and wearing plenty of balm prior to application.  Of course dabbing off the excess oils from the balm and applying.  Applying the Lip Lacquers were a dream thanks to its lovely sized doe foot applicator you have more of a chance of not making a mistake.  Even though the Lip Lacquers dry matte they do give you time to tidy up before they dry completely on your lips 

Pigmentation 

I have to say the product is very pigmented and you would not need one layer to do get the shade you see in the tube 

You can build up the intensity which is more of a bonus but in my eyes its perfect with one layer 

How it feels 

You have to allow your lips to dry before you smack your lips together or the product will become patchy.  When you apply it first it feels smooth and soft like a moisturising lip cream.  Then after about 7 seconds you will feel the Lacquers starting to dry and become sticky.  Another few seconds and yours lips are completely dry.  Apart from that you are left with the most irresistible lips ever :)  

If you cant stand the dryness of these simply apply a layer of gloss over the lip product and it looks amazing :) :) 

Lasting Power?

The Matte Lip Lacquers do last a long time and I find the brighter the shade is the longer they last.  I found I still had some colour on my lips after about 6 hours of wear without touching up.  Mind you if you do not top up you will find patchiness.  If you eat anything oily while wearing this I would advise to check you lippy after as the oils from the food can remove the colour a little.  Apart from oily foods drinking and eating will not disturb your lips.  I have also tried these with gloss over it and the lasting power is a little lessened because of the gloss.  With gloss over the lip lacquers they will last about 3 hours before you feel the need to top up.   Now for some lip swatches :) These pictures were taken in direct sunlight :) 

In the photo below I am wearing a gloss the NYX Mega Shine Gloss in shade Perfect (which has a slight pinky shade with gold specks of shimmer)  over What I believe to be honest I have been wearing this alot lately :) 

Would I recommend these?

Yes 100% to those you do not mind matte lip products :) you will love them no doubt.  Those of you who does not like that dry feeling on your lips im afraid you will not enjoy these as your lips will feel dry the whole time you wear these.  Try to stay away from these when you are suffering with dry cracked lips as this product will soak into your dry patches and lines on your lips making your lips not look so great.  In other words you have to have good conditioned lips to pull these off.  

  I for one am 50/50 when it comes to matte lip products as I have in my time tried out so many matte lip products alot has not impressed me but I have to say Makeup Revolutions Velvet Matte Lip Lacquers have :)

The Body Shop Give Joy Christmas 2013 Collection

Hello my beauties How are you all today :) 

I was absolutely delighted to be invited to the launch of The Body Shop Give Joy Christmas 2013 collection in The store on Grafton Street Dublin.  As it was my first every Body Shop Event, I was bursting with excitement as the Body Shop is always filled with such amazing products.  From amazing Body Butters to beautiful body mists to stunning makeup products and lots lots more.  Before I start let me just warn you this post will be picture heavy :) :) 

From the moment I walked into the store I felt warm cosy and of course over whelmed with the amazing presentation of the New Christmas Collection and boy oh boy the scent that filled the air was AMAZING.  

The staff could not be smiling anymore than they were last night and might I add very very nice women.  

I could not wait to browse around the store to see the new products and of course sample a bit.

But firstly let me tell you about the AMAZING and GENEROUS Thing The Body Shop is doing this Christmas.    

Not only are they protecting the plant, supporting animal right supporting community fair trade which is creating jobs all over the world and also supporting education in the third world countries,  but they are now planning on raising £200,000 to help build 5 new schools in India Ghana, Honduras, Nepal and Northern India How??? By donating that money from the sales of all the Christmas stock so when you are buying a gift for someone for Christmas in The body Shop you are not only Making the person you bought the girt for Happy but you will also be helping The Body Shop raise that money to build them schools How seriously amazing is that???

There is so so so many Christmas goodies to choose from especially now that they have 3 additional scents for Christmas including Ginger Sparkle, Vanilla Bliss and Cranberry Joy and you have to smell them they are beautiful :) :) 

There is so much to choose from that it would take forever to list on this blog post haha but one thing I can say you can find amazing gifts from as little as €10 even under :) 

We also got a demonstration on a festive makeup look using the gorgeous 4 step smokey eyeshadow palette and also on The Sparkler which looked amazing on the model :) :) 

Donna Gave a lovely talk on All the new products and about the plan to raise the £200,000 She was absolutely brilliant and made her way around everyone to have a chat and answer any questions.  Her co workers were all amazing too and even offered us free eyebrow threading in which I passed on but alot of girls at the event took the oppurtunity and I have to say each and every one of them were very happy with the result.  Another thing they offered was some fabulous Gingerbread men, cupcakes and Cranberry Juice which of course we all tried out.  I want the recipe of the Gingerbread men as they were beautiful haha 

Thank goodness we were not buying anything because to be honest I would have blown my money on everything in the store.  The new scents smell amazing and I did try ou the Vanilla Bliss Shimmer Lotion on my hand and WOW not only did the lotion feel amazing but the tiny shimmers in the lotion left a beautiful sparkle on my skin Just imagine going out to all those Christmas Parties with a lovely tan and adding this lotion for a touch of softness and sparkle your tan would look amazing :)  To top the night off I got a chance to catch up with all my fello blogger friends which is always a treat I bumped into Adoreabubbles, Total Makeup addict, Karen from Lovelygirliebits, CherrySue, Doin' the Do, Girlfriday and many more.   Pictures below were taken by the Body Shop Team :) 

We all received some gifts from The Body Shop as a thank you for coming but to be honest it was an honour to be invited When I got home I couldn't contain my excitement any longer and opened up the bag to see what I got.  One thing I have to say is nothing prepared me for what I was about to see in the bag.  I cant believe how generous The Body Shop was to give us such amazing gifts and I am very grateful and also very very excited to try them all out I already know I will love one of the Gifts which is The Body Butter Lollipop which contains 5 different scented body butters.  I have tried their Body Butters before and they are amazing but I will do a full review on them don't worry in fact i will be doing a review on all items very very soon.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in Rose Eclat

Hello My Beauties How are you all today :) 
Ok can you believe that this is the first every Bourjois Powder blush that I have tried :) I know I know I should be ashamed of myself haha but hey better late than never eh? 
I got this blush free with a 3 for 2 offer in Boots (I love Boots)  :) 
The Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher costs €9.99 from Boots.ie but prices may vary depending on offers.  
There is about 19 Shades to choose from so you are in no doubt going to find a shade suitable for your skin tone :) :) 
Now to be honest I have a little secret when it comes to blushes.  I am kinda hooked :)  I just cant help myself when it comes to blushes I have to try them even if I have a familiar shade at home I still gotta try it out.  Different brands different shades different types they just have to mine :) :) 
How many of you out there are the same ? :) 

I love the packaging of these blushes.  They are so cute and small and just so so handy to bring around while travelling or simply in your bag.  This little round pot is plastic and the lid is held shut by a magnet which make me think you have to be a little careful as the lid is only held my a magnet.  To open you simply press the gold button.  

Inside is where the magic begins.  In this little pot you are getting a nice little mirror and a brush shaped like an arch to sit on dome shaped blush.  
The Brush is not my liking at all to be honest.  I like the brush dont get me wrong as it is very handy for travelling for in case you have forgotten you normal blush brush but I prefer not to use it and stick with my own.  

When choosing a shade which believe me too some time (nearly too long) I decided to go with a shade that would be perfect for the winter months ahead something that was going to make me look like I had a natural but rosey look to my cheeks.  Rose Eclat ticked all my requests.  This blush is a deep rosey shade a beautiful blush for winter as it has tiny shimmers in it to create a nice healthy glow to your cheeks  

I can not believe how pigmented this blush is one dip of the brush is enough to do one cheek.  I also found it build beautifully so you have control of the intensity of the colour.  I have been using this blush quite alot in the past two weeks its even replaced what was my favourite Benefit Coralista which I used mostly through the summer.  
In the swatch below I am showing you a heavy swatch which is about 3 layers and a light swatch which is only two layers 

Stunning right?  I have to say I am well impressed with the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher and the shade.  I can not believe its taken me this long to try it out.  I reassure you I will be going back to get more.  In fact I will be taking full advantage of the 3 for 2 deal again in boots :) :) 
I highly recommend you try them out if you haven't already.  For such a small bundle this blush give alot more than what you expect.  I found the blush lasted all day long on my cheeks even with hugging my kiddies and an odd rubbing of my face forgetfully as you do when your tired.  
Here is a picture of my wearing it lightly on my face and as you can see it gives me a very healthy look as I have no colouring on my cheeks without it 

10/10 in my eyes :)
