BH Cosmetics Special Occasion 39 Color Eyeshadow & Blush Palette

Hello My Beautifuls How are you all today 

My apologies for the lack of blog posts for the past week and half.  My son had to go in for an unexpected operation on Wednesday and its been hectic since.  His operation went well and he is recovering brilliantly.   I have been eyeing this little beauty for some time now and finally got my hands on it.  Its the Special Occasion eyeshadow & Blush Palette by BH Cosmetics 

This beautiful palette retails at only $13.95 which is super affordable for what you are getting :) :) 

The first picture is the amazingly girly packaging and its in my favourite colour :) :) 

The packaging of the palette itself is the same as all the packaging of BH Cosmetics palettes only it has the amazing massive gold writing with a crown design over O :) I love how professional it looks :) :) 

Inside is what's more important and I cant wait to show you all :) :) 

Inside you are getting a big mirror which is also handy for travelling.  

Along with that you are getting 30 eyeshadows and 9 blushes :) what more do you need for a kit for travelling or for over night stays in friends house or basically anything :) :) 

I am in love :) :) You have everything you need for day time and night time looks and of course for special occasions looks too :) :) ;) 

Starting with the shadows :) 

You have an amazing mixture of mattes, satin and shimmery eyeshadows.  From golds, to browns, to purples, to silvers to blacks.  The amount of looks you can create with these 30 shadows is unlimited :) :).I am in love with every last shade and the best thing is each an every last one is as pigmented as each other even the mattes.  Of course the mattes with take some work as all matte eyeshadows do but they are incredibly pigmented for such an affordable brand 

The first row of eyeshadows you have 

• A shimmery White which is fantastic for highlighting 
• A Stunning bronze brown shade which has a satin finish oh boy this shade is so soft and creamy it looks stunning on the lid :) 
• A copper gold which in my eyes is BEAUTIFUL and very creamy I love it 
• A matte peachy pink a little less pigmented that the first 3 but stunning as a base and lid colour 
• The next shade is BEAUTIFUL :) a deep matte blackcurrant purple wow the pigmentation is fantastic 
• This next shade is stunning and reminds me a little of a Mac Eye-shadow called "Club" in fact when I build this shade up it almost looks identical.  Its amazing and can be worn on its own or with some browns whatever you desire.  You are getting a stunning duo chrome shade which has a slight reddish brown base to it and also a light teal/green shimmer I have worn this both dry and wet and wow the effects are beautiful :) 

The Second Row you have 

• A very sheer light pink shade which is matte and can be used as a blending colour I did find this a little too light for the lid but it is build-able for those no makeup days :) 
• A Stunning deep bronze brown (a darker version on the 2nd shade on the 1st row) Pigmentation Amazing and gives a beautiful finish 
• A Deep copper gold (a darker version on the 3rd shade on the 1st row) again the pigmentation is stunning 
• A Stunning semi-matte burgandy  perfect for the smokey eye looks and wow this shade brings out the green in my eye :) :) 
• A Deep charcoal grey with silver specks going through it I found this shade a little hard to pick up with my brush it was like as if it was too compressed into the palette.  Using a wet brush really helps and I love the finish 
• This is a stunning blackened silver perfect for those nights out :)  Its very pigmented 

Now for the 3rd row 

• A Beautiful Frosty pinky shade perfect for highlighting or simply for a eye opening lid colour 
• A shimmery copper gold very pigmented and very easy to blend 
• A shimmery gold perfect for the brown smokey eye looks this too is very pigmented 
• Another burgundy only a little brighter and 100% matte stunning I love it 
• A shimmery silver wow this shade is very pigmented and a little goes a long way 
• This shade is stunning a deep grey with golden shimmers the grey is almost black and the shimmers give a satin finish I love it 

The 4th row

• This is a sheer brown with a light golden finish :) very pigmented and a perfect lid colour
• A semi matte chocolate brown.  Very pigmented a lot goes a long way 
• A stunning medium bronzy brown again very pigmented 
• A fantastic deep purple wow its amazingly pigmented I am in love 
• This next colour is very unusual as it is a greyish brown with silver specks Very pigmented and has a satin finish 
• Lastly the black of course matte this black you have to be careful with as it is a little chalky but very pigmented and very easy to blend 

The last row of eyeshadows are 

• A Light matte tan shade perfect for blending or for using as a transition colour also 
• A medium copper brown with tiny specks of silver this one is a little hard to grab with the brush but when used with a dampened brush it works well 
• A very pigmented golden lime green shade stunning for that pop of colour 
• A matte medium brown prefect for blending and using as a transition colour
• A medium grey with silver shimmer pigmented but needs building 
• and lastly another black with silver shimmers for thoses out in the town looks very pigmented and beautiful 

Over all these eye-shadows are amazing the pigmentation is brilliant and you get plenty to play around with.  You have a great selection of neutral shades for day looks you also have a couple of shadows there for that pop of colour and also have a wide selection of silvers, burgandys and purples and blacks to jazz up your look for night time you can also used the blacks as eyeliners simply use a dampened eye-liner brush and bam you have eye-liners.

  Now for the blushes 
Wow they are just amazing.  They feel smooth and soft.  There is a wide selection of blushes 9 to be exact to choose from and there is a blush there for every skin-tone.  The finish is amazing and you can build them to whatever intensity you desire :) 
You are getting a mixture of shimmery and matte blushes and one highlight which is perfect for anyone who loves their highlighting :) :) 

Overall this palette is amazing for everything.  For makeup artists out there this is a handy little palette for your kit and you have everything you need to do any look you desire.  For people who are trying to start a little collection you have everything from eyeshadows to blushes and even eyeliner as I mentioned above.  The beauty geeks out there who adore palette you have to try this one out believe me you will love it.  I for one am delighted I have added this to my collection of palettes and will surely be recommending it :)  I am having so much fun with this palette and here is a look I created only yesterday using it :) 

Here is the shadows I used and I also used a mix of the 1st and second blush in the middle row on my cheeks :)

BH Cosmetics Floral Blush Duos in Rose & Iris

Hello my gorgeous readers I hope you are all well :) 

Todays review is on two blush duos created by BH Cosmetics.  These blush were released last year and ever since I have had my eyes on them so i took advantage when I purchased the its Judy Time Palette to buy these two aswell :) 

First thing I want to say is I really wished I have bought the whole collection now Honest they are the bomb-diggitty

Every budding beauty needs the perfect cheek flush.  BH Floral Blush Duos are inspired by flower petals and their feminine, soft colors and include two shades inside each mirror, magnetic palette.  Swirl the two shades together and apply or use them separately to sculpt a lovely glow. by BH Cosmetics 

Look how cute the packaging is.  I am in love with it.  If this is not crying out girly I dont know what is :) :)   You are getting the choice of 2 blushes in which you can use on their own or together.  You are also getting a nice sized mirror always perfect for travelling.  I love how the lid has a magnetic which helps keep the blush from getting damaged aswell as easy open and close.  

There are 5 shades to choose from and get this they are all named which makes it even more sweeeet!!!! 

I regret not going for all 5 shades now after trying these beauties out but the 5 shades are:

Tulip

Lilac

Rose 

Iris 

Daisy 

Each cost as little as $4.95 at the moment which is 50% off which i presume is for the month of January as when I bought these I got them at the end of December at this price 

As you can see I ended up choosing Rose and Iris 

Ok Rose first of all is my utmost favourite and I think even if I get the other duos I will still pick Rose over them look how stunning the blush is.  

On one side (left) you are getting a stunning deep pinky rose shade with a golden sheen Oh my goodness im in love with this shade soooo much.  Its perfect for all year round and with suit every skin tone.  A little goes a long way and its so creamy it blends into the skin beautifully I love it on the other side (right) you are getting a peach toned highlight which is also stunning and gives a golden sheen which makes your skin glow.  I use these seperately as you are getting enough glow from the blush but for days you want that extra glow like in the summer you can mix the two .  I am telling you all now if you get the Rose Blush Duo you are going to fall in love its amazing !!!!

Next up is :) 

Oh my goodness this is beautiful too and I know i said that Rose was my favourite this doesnt mean I dont like this one

Iris is deep beyond deep but it doesnt mean I dont like it in fact I really like it.  

Starting with the blush itself (left) you are getting a a deep plum shade which is matte.  This shade is stunning and very pigmented.  I can see alot of women of colour going for this one in particular and it would look absolutely stunning on them.  If used with a light hand this would suit anyone with light to medium skin tones and would actually give a more deep rosey colour if used lightly than plum.  I of course have to use a light hand on this blush and I love the fresh look it gives me.  I would tend to reach for this if i am going anywhere that involves cameras and its very effective that way 
The other side (right) is more of a peachy coral with a stunning golden glow.  This could actually be used as a blush on the fairest of skins .  For me its more of a highlight which would be fantastic over a coral blush.  Mixing the two together works great as the first is matte so if you did want to add that fresh glow to the blush you have the highlight shade to do that :) 

These blushes without a shadow of doubt are brilliant and very long lasting.  Of course the best thing about them is they are buildable which means you can go as light or as heavy as you want.  I found I didnt have to reapply my blush through out the day.  For the price you are certain getting just as good a blush as a high end blush with the pigmentation the longevity the shades and also the packaging what more would you need apart from a celebration that you only paid $4.95/£3.00/€3.64 for them :)

#28 Days of Kisses *Day 25, 26 & 27 Lipstick Tag

Hello my gorgeous readers :) I hope you are all well 

I bet you thought I forgot about the lipstick tag in which is coming close to the end actually tomorrow is the last day of it :) I didnt forget about it I have left it purposely because I have been wearing the same brand lip product only in different shades including today to try and test them out :) So you can say this is also a review aswell as lips of the day :) 

The weather has changed quite a bit in the past week or so as it got very very cold all of a sudden and we even had spells of snow so my lips has been through warm heat in the house out to freezing cold temperatures outside so lipstick has been out of the question the past few days as I have had to keep my lips moisturised and what better way by doing that is either wearing balm or gloss so I opted for gloss :) 

The brand I choose was BH Cosmetics Lip Gloss :) 

I am sure you all know at this stage I am a fan of BH Cosmetics :) I have purchased quite alot from the site now and to be honest the shipping is very reasonable more reasonable than some sites who sell near enough the same type of products and not only that I never (touching wood) had any faults breakages late postages missing items or anything from them) 

When these glosses were released last year it took me some time to purchase them because in all fairness I have alot of glosses in my collection and really didnt need to buy more but then months later I broke and bought 3 shades I just had to try them and for the price it hardly broke the bank 

There are 10 shades to choose from some are matte and some have shimmer and the price varies depending on the offers at the time as BH Cosmetics are always doing great deals but at the moment there is 33% off these glosses.  Their original price is $5.95 at the moment they are $4.00 which is only around 3 euro each :) 

The packaging of these lip glosses is quite nice nothing exciting but the lid is sturdy and will not leak out any product.  The brush is very small and very handy especially if you have forgotten your compact mirror and need to top up ;) 

The scent of the glosses well to be honest is non existent which is great for those of you who had any type of scented lip products 

The consistency of these are actually quite nice they are thick yet not gloopy or sticky which I love but I also like to feel my glosses on my lips and know that they will last more than 5 minutes on my lips :) 

So let me go ahead and show you the shades i wore and am wearing today :) 

Copper Crush I wore on Monday which was Day 25 I picked this in particular because I was having one of those lazy days and didnt really want to go crazy with my eye makeup so I chose to go plain eye noticeable lips :) 

This surely made my lips noticeable I tell you I was actually quite surprised by the pigmentation :) 

This shade definitely lives to its name its a stunning red with copper and gold sparkles its the most pigmented out of the bunch and I love it only thing is that when it wears off the sparkle stays put which can look odd if you do not top up :) 

on day 25 I decided bright lips was out of the question I was just in the mood for a little pick me up shade so I went with 

Plain Jane well this is actually one of the popular shades even though its a more sheerer shade I think maybe it is because its simple plus matte.  This is a perfect nude brown shade and a perfect pick me up gloss for your nude lipsticks or simply perfect on its own :)  Obviously this shade will not last as long as the first shade as its alot lighter but its perfect for those days you just want a little pick me up for your lips 

and lastly on my lips today aka Day 27 

I went with a little brighter option to brighten up yet another dull drab day :) 

Studious is yet another matte gloss which in all fairness i prefer especially for everyday wear.  Even though it looks darker in the tube its not as dark swatched.  It turns out to be a lovely bright bubblegum pink shade and if you have pigmented lips you might find this a little sheer but still noticeable.  

And here are the swatches on my lips :) 

Overal If you are ever shopping on the BH Cosmetics site I do think it would be worth your while trying out at least one of these glosses.  The darker they are the more pigmented and longer lasting they are.  Top be honest they havent exactly wowed me into buying more shades as I do have better glosses but I also have worse glosses They are affordable and nice to wear on their own or over your lipstick.

• Naturals Cranberry and Cinnamon Room and Linen Spray:   This too is a beautiful scent and perfect for the christmas season.  i even spray these on my mats, rugs, curtains what ever you wish to freshen up your rooms love it :) 
• Avon True colour Eyeshadow Quad in Mocha Latte:  Girlies this has been an absolute favourite for such a long time.  In fact this has been my first ever eyeshadow palette which tells you how long I have been using it.  This is a stunning neutral palette perfect for everyone.  It contains 2 matte shades and 2 Satin shades.  I did a blog post about it a long while back with pictures taken with my older camera but it will give you an idea what its like :)  I use this for my eyebrows for natural looks everything I find I reach for this at least once a week :) 
• Avon Super shock Mascara in Black:  I have and always will love this mascara is super black super amazing and not only that gives me volume and length all at the same time even Pixiwoo loves this mascara Its amazing :) 
• Avon Super Shock Gel Eyeliner Pencils in "Black & Cobalt":  These eyeliners are the BOMB.  I have mentioned these quite a bit in different reviews and compared them too.  Again these have bee a favourite of mine for a long time and I still love them.  They are smooth, creammy, blackest of black and long lasting in fact will last until you take them off.  They are excellent in the waterline too.  I can actually say they are by far a dupe of the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners :) :) "Cobalt" is a lovely sparkly blue perfect for christmas.  It is hard to believe i have not reviewed these but its true what they say if you use something long enough you actually take it for granted so thats why im including them in my giveaway.  
• Wet N Wild Mega Lasting Lip Colour in "Just Peachy":  I did a blog post on these recently.  I absolutely love these for the fact they are affordable long lasting creamy easy to apply and matte :)  So I just had to include one for you guys too :) 
• Wet N Wild Mega Eyes Creme Liner in "Black":   Again another products i have taken for granted and not got reviewing yet!!! This has been a favourite for a long time I even have 3 or 4 back ups :)  This is a favourite of Emily Noels too from th Beauty Broadcaster on youtube.  I have to admit I agree with her its super black super creamy easy to work with and comes with a mini brush thats actually quite good.  Not only that it doesnt dry out easily not like some creme liners :) It also gives a matte finish which i love :) 
• NYX Xtreme Lip Creams in "Buttery Nude" & "Nude Peach":  I have also done a recent post on these little beauties and of course I just had to include them in this giveaway because they are fab!!!! 
• Catrice Ultimate Eye Colour in " Plum up the Jam":  This is a new eyeshadow in from Catrice and I too have only started using this so I havent got round to reviewing it yet but I think its a stunning stunning shade.  This is a stunning plum shade with a tint of burgundy and gold shimmers going through it I love it :) This is a perfect shade for Winter :) 
• elf Smudge Brush:  I have found myself reaching for this alot lately.  I use it for a percise line in my crease for the outer corner of my eyes and for smudging eyeshadows on the bottom lash line.  Its a perfect size and perfectly compacted.  Its very easy to wash and dry and I have had no shedding whatsoever.

BH Scents Perfume Decanter Review

Hey my beauties how are you all doing :) 

You all know i am very fond of BH Cosmetics at this stage as all i have done is boast about all their products that i have purchased so far.  So while i was shopping on their site the last time i spotted this little devise.  It reminded me so much of the Travalo in which i love having as its handy to fill with my favourite perfume and pop it into even my smallest handbag/purse and go about my business :) without having to bring the big awkward bottle but here in Ireland to buy a Travalo the small one it costs almost 10 euro which in my case is on the pricey side but is worth it if you do not own one already.  So when i seen this on BH Cosmetics for the price $6 (at the time) which was only about 4 euro i jumped to the chance to buy it :) 

I was so excited and thought wahoo instant bargain :) Or so I thought?!

A sensational gift for you or your man, this sleek, black cologne/perfume decanter is one of our most ingenious new inventions!

Simply pump your favorite scent into the pen-sized vessel's perforated bottom. Swivel up the lovely silver top to spray; swivel it back down when not in use.

A compact, highly portable charmer (you'll throw it into your purse; he'll toss it into his pocket), our BH Scents decanter makes perfect "sense"! by BH Cosmetics 

I was well impressed with the fact that this came in a little black box first of all its a great way to protect it from been scratched.  

The Decanter is a nice skinny shape no longer than a pen which is even handy to fit into your pocket :) 

you get a little window to show how much perfume/spray is left in the decanter 

so basically it is the same idea as the Travalo :) 

There is no lids with this.  all you have to do is twist and the spray nozzle appears :)  Again like Travalo all you have to do is set the bottom of the Decanter on top of you favourite perfume and squirt the perfume into it until its full and thats it 

So now for my overall opinion....well im afraid im not that pleased with it to be honest :(
It worked for me for a couple of sprays but after that when i sprayed it nothing came out even though it was full.  I even went to the lengths of cleaning the nozzle with a needle to see was it jammed with dust and nothing.  I was quite disappointed as when it was working the spray was very good it wasn't too much or too little just the right amount but now i have a Decanter full of my favourite perfume and cant use it.  I do not know if i just got a dodgy one or not but i did look onto their site again and read the 2 reviews they have up and one of them was not good either. I don't think I will take the risk in buying another to see to be honest even though the price is very cheap.  In my eyes if its good it should work the first time and seeing as there is not a good review on the site about it as well as my own review im afraid for the first time I am actually giving a negative review on one of BH Cosmetics products 
That will not put me off continuing to buy from them as I love their products and i have had more positive than negative things to say about them

BH Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone how are you all doing today :) 

Ok i think you can all guess at this stage that i am quite fond of BH Cosmetics :) 

I have purchased quite a few palettes from the site now and have been very pleased with them so far.  To this day I still find myself reaching for the palettes if i want to experiment with colours and different looks.  I especially love reaching for these palettes when doing other peoples makeup as its handier and more convenient as well as easier to bring on travel :)  The best thing about these palettes is that they are super super affordable and shipping with BH Cosmetics is quite cheap seeing as they are coming the whole way from America Plus they take good care in wrapping what ever you purchase well so nothing comes to your home damaged.

I have had this palette for quite some time now actually a good few months.  I think everyone including myself love a nice neutral look as a neutral look suits everyone so i was super excited to try this palette in particular as its full of neutral colours.

The packaging is basically the same as all the BH Cometics palette.  A Black Plastic palette with the logo of BH Cosmetics and the name of the actual palette on it.  I Love the as it saves opening all the palettes to get the right one :) 

Another great thing about the palette is that it doesn't smudge which means you will not get stubborn finger marks on it that you can not remove :)

In this palette you are getting a mixture of everything.  From mattes, satins and shimmers to cool and warm toned eye shadows.  From light to dark shades.  My first impressions were somewhat 50/50 to be honest as i noticed the palette had alot of light shade that i thought would lack in pigmentation then i noticed alot of the shades looked alot like some Mac Eye shadows.  Now obviously they wouldn't be as pigmented as the Mac eye shadows but they look very very like them :) :) 

I have to admit some of the eye shadows are a little on the chalky side and some need a coaxing before showing their true potential but they are all easy to work with.  There is a few shades that you might fine less visible than others on my swatches but they are more for blending and more skin tone shades :) I will go ahead and show you the swatches and talk some more about them 

The first row is very light we have 3 matte shades the 2nd, 3rd and 4th shade and the second shade is alot like Mac Nylon eyeshadow the last shade i love this one its a blackened purple with Burgundy shimmer this is a perfect shade for fall/autumn i love it but you will get some fallout from this shade.  I prefer to do my eye makeup before my foundation using this little beauty.  

On the 2nd row we have some more lighter shades.  The second shade is alot like Mac Vanilla and the the 5th shade is suppose to be like Mac Cork.  There is only one matte shade in this row and that's the one that suppose to be like "Cork" i find this shade great for blending out harsh lines or just to use as a crease colour :) I think the light pinky shade with gold shimmer is stunning on the lid.  

I am sure you have noticed the shades are getting more pigmented :) This is the 3rd row and i love this one.  I especially love the last shade in this row as its a great dupe for Mac's Patina which I Love and adore :)  We also have 2 matte shades on this row the 3rd shade and the 2nd last both colours are great for the crease and blending out and can even be used for the brows :) I also love love love the 3rd last shade its extremely pigmented and a beautiful taupe with gold micro-shimmer going through it :) its stunning on its own or on the lid with a darker brown in the crease.  

Again as you can see the shades are more pigmented on the 4th and last row :)  The last shade surprised me alot i was expecting this like any other palette to be a sheer grey but it wasn't at all its a good pigmented black in fact its a great grey/black almost black black and very pigmented but is a little chalky so use with caution.  

Final Thought 

I found that you will need to wear a primer with these as some of them are chalky and need something to cling onto.  They apply really well and blend beautifully.  Obviously the matte shades were a real tester as matte eye shadows are harder to blend than any other eyeshadow but i found no fault with them.  I was expecting a little more pigmentation in some of the eye shadows but i suppose a little extra packing on is not hard work :)

Anyone who like neutral eyes will love this palette.  Anyone who wants something cheaper without having to touch their expensive brands will enjoy this.  Basically anyone will enjoy it not only for the eye shadows but for the price 

normal price this costs $18.95 but now at the moment its on value at $10 now that's a huge bargain not to be missed.  

Ok is it the best palette i have got from BH Cosmetics?? No its not the best but its not the worst either :)
