Nia Natural Skincare Calendula & Orange Blossom Facial Cleansing Balm Review

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :) 

I am going all Irish on you this time on this post reason for that is for the first time I have finally got a chance to try a product from a brand called Nia which of course is based in Ireland :)  I love trying out lots of different brands as you know but most of all brands in Ireland.  

Nia's products are hand-made in Limerick, Ireland. Nia uses Irish ingredients in all our products, importing only Amazonian butters, essential oils and supplies not available on the beautiful Emerald Isle.
They  specialize in beauty balms that are formulated with the feel of a luxurious cream, but without the addition of water, which would require the need for added emulsifiers preservatives or additional stabilizers. This results in a sweet-smelling, multi-tasking beauty balm that is 100% natural.
 Nia produces high-end, luxury products made of pure and natural ingredients.
My skin lately has been playing up not with acne but one day it can be perfect and another day it can feel very dry and very tight especially after cleansing :) 
I have also noticed my skin is sensitive the past few months and I mean sensitive by feeling a sting on my face if I use an exfoliater on my face or if I use face wipes (yes I know I shouldnt but we all do it at some stage for quick and easy way :)  
So when I seen Nia brought out a new cleansing balm I just had to try it out :) 

The Calendula & Orange Blossom Facial Cleansing Balm comes in a lovely little box with different descriptions written all over it :)  I actually really like the box and make sure not to throw it out as you will need it for storage :) :)

& of course the cleansing balm itself in a tin container :)

This product is also free from:  Parabens, Steroids, Fragrance, Water, Additives, Silicones, Parabens, Mineral Oil, Beeswax, Petroleum, Emulsifiers, Synthetic Fragrance.

Nia States:  Gentle yet effective 2 step wash off facial cleansing balm suitable for daily cleansing and heavy make-up removal on even sensitive skin. Use daily to leave skin clean, soft and radiant.

When I opened and instantly got a whiff of Orange up my nose :)  Its not a strong smell of orange but there is another scent in there I cant quite put my nose to :)  Overall the scent is amazing and so so natural :)  

This tin is full to the very top and you can see there is little specks that looks like orange peel in the balm but its not orange peel its more like lumps of balm like Vaseline :) 

The balm feels so smooth and soft and has a moose like texture It also has a feel of Vaseline even though there is no petroleum in the ingredients :)  

Using the spatula I scraped up a little of the balm just enough to apply on my face and placed it on my hand :)  as I left it on my hand I noticed the balm started to melt, something like ice-cream in a bowl :)  the longer I left it the more it melted into a creamy consistency :)  Which was so easy to then spread on my skin :)

I am in love with this balm honestly no word can describe how different my skin feels after using this balm.  First of all I take the most of my makeup off and then go straight in with dampening my face a little, scooping some of the balm and warming it up with my fingers before applying to my face.  I massage into my face for at least 5 minutes.  The balm feels oily against my skin.  Do not worry the oils that are in this balm are all 100% organic and natural.  Knowing that all of these natural oils are working into my skin make me feel brilliant and while I enjoy the lovely aroma I can also feel my skin softening and feeling more clean.  When its time to take the balm off I rinse the Cloth provided in warm to hot water squeezing it dry and then wipe my face clean.  Instantly seeing what ever dirty and grime was left on my face on the cloth.  I rinse the cloth about 3 times and wipe softly.  Patting dry my face I feel so fresh , clean and my skin feels moisturised.  I do not even feel the need to moisturise straight away after washing :)  I do this routine every day and night :)  My skin feels so much better since using this balm 

I feel less dry, especially under my eyes which is one of the places I noticed was extra dry especially when wearing makeup :(  I feel less tight and more free :)  

I have also tried this balm with a full face of makeup on and found it more effective by not dampening my face first and applying straight to my face.  Massaging in the balm for at least 5 minutes before rinsing off using my cloth.  It works brilliantly apart from removing waterproof mascara.  

Keeping the cloth's is very easy once you do not throw them into the washing machine.  They are too light to be machine washed.  Simply hand wash and dry on the radiator and they are as good as new :) 

I have to say I give this the full thumbs up and will be repurchasing :)  This Cleansing balm is not only great for people who have dry and sensitive skin its also suitable for all skin types :)

Bia Beauty Stop the Clock Natural Eye Gel Review

Hey everyone I hope you are all well.  Todays Review is a requested one of course and I would not blame you all for bee curious about this product in particular.  We all have to face reality that fine lines and crows feet are going to appear in time under and around our eyes.  I for one am living proof When I hit my late 20's I started thinking long and hard about the fact I'm not getting younger and started to venture into eye creams.  Seeking out what would be best for me.  Its hard as there is so many eye creams out there to suit different ages and different purposes.  

To be honest you are never too young to start using eye creams even though it is not going to stop you from getting fine lines and crows feet but it will delay them in time.  Plus our eye area is very very sensitive and of course only covered by the thinnest of skin so we really have to be careful.  

I think any eye cream is going to do a good job in my eyes but as I said there are different eye creams for different purposes.  

Most of the time we worry about bags under the eye, puffiness and of course dark circles aswell as fine lines and wrinkles but not all eye creams sort out all of our eye troubles in one.  

Well thats where Bia Beauty comes in with their Stop the Clock Natural Eye Gel 

I got this product in my last PowderPocket Box and I have been using it everyday since. 

 Bia Beauty is an Irish Company who work with only natural ingredients to make their products which is even better for our skin.  Bia Beauty has become more popular and known since they started and I believe will be more popular throughout the years 

I was absolutely thrilled to get this and couldnt wait to try it out.  In fact it has become an everyday staple in my life 

Stop the Clock Natural Eye Gel as I state is for everyone 

as Bia Beauty claims its for healing and cooling the eye area aswell as brighten up tired eyes :)  This is one product I need in my life been a mum of 5 I look tired all the time.  

The special ingredients in this gel are: 

Aloe vera which cools the eye area 

Arnica de-puffs after those rough nights out 

Immortelle renews the eye area 

Rose pampers the eyes when they are sore and tired

Myrrh firms so our fines lines are less noticable 

I have to admit I loved this gel from the word go.  From the moment I first applied this to my eyes I instantly felt that cooling feeling and it felt like heaven.  I have to warn you the pump gives you a little too much so be careful as a little is enough for your eyes.  I apply this all over my lid and under eye area.  It feels a little tacky at first but dries in perfectly.  There is a beautiful light scent to it but soon disappears after use.  

Everytime I apply this especially on my more tired days where I feel my eyes are heavier than my head I instantly feel awake.  I store this in the fridge and it feels even more cooling and refreshings.  The bags under my eyes feel lifted and I instant look more awake.  To be honest I didnt like the feeling at first as i was not used to it but the only way I can describe the feeling after applying the gel is that someone is pulling my eyes up with a piece of string slightly if that makes sense :) 

I love that feeling now as I know the product is working for me 

If you are a new mum and are up all night with your baby, you are going to love this little beauty as it does make a difference.  As for improving fine lines I am not sure about that to be honest as I am not using it long enough but what better product to use for that than a natural product.  

I am definitely going to repurchase this when it runs out.  Even though I know its going to take some time to used this us as there is 15mls per bottle and that might not seem like alot but all you need is a tiny pea sized amount each time you use it.

Human + Kind Shampoo & Conditioner for all Hair Types Review

Hello My beauties :) I hope you are all well 

You know at this stage that I have already tried some of Human + Kinds amazing products and absolutely loved them.  Their All in One Hand, Elbow and Foot cream is amazing and I have it in my handbag full time :) :) I also adore their All in One Facial Cleanser which has become my one of my favourite cleansers I have tried :)  Their Age Spot Remover cream aka moisturiser is amazing and I have been using it constantly since I got it :) 

I was so so happy when Human + Kind sent me Their new Shampoo & Conditioner Duo to try out :) :) 

I absolutely love the packaging as always its very easy to find Human + Kinds product simply by they bright and colourful packaging :) :) 

They have 3 different types of Shampoo & Conditioner duos and of course different colour coded squirty bottles to identify them

Sensitive Hair & Skin:  Which is perfect for anyone sensitive out there 

Dry Hair: which is of course need for ones who do alot with their hair like dying and styling :) 

The shampoo and Conditioner costs €7.95 each and is 100% natural with No Petrochemicals No Animal Testing Paraben Free and SLS Free.  

SLS free ??? I hear you say well to be honest I did not know the meaning either until I looked it up and found out it is actually beneficial especially if you suffer with sensitive skin and are prone to breakouts 

SLS stands for Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is basically used in all beauty products that has a foam to it.  Shampoos, body washes, toothpaste, shower gels etc.  SLS is very drying on the skin and hair resulting to dry skin as you notice when you get out of your shower SLS strips the skin and hair of its natural oils leaving them dry so we then have to replace the oils with moisturiser or oils afterwards.  

I know I personally love my products especially when in the shower to foam up and I knew this was going to be an experience trying something that doesnt not contain that ingredient 

First of all let me talk about the Shampoo & Bodywash. 

  I love the idea of this been a shampoo & bodywash because normally I wash my hair before I jump into the shower reason is I dont like the thought of shampoo residue on my body as I know it can be drying.  Where as with this little beauty I dont have to worry where I start.  

This is suitable for all hair types and especially for people who are on the go all the time.  It contains ingredients like Aloe vera which is always good for your hair and skin 

Avena Sativa which is used to soothe sooth and nourish the skin.  It also helps hair by improving conditioning and manageability.   Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil Grapefruit Peel Oil is high in the anti-oxidant Vitamin C which helps to fight free radicals and prevent skin damage. Grapefruit is also high in keratin a protein building block of the skin and hair.

My Thoughts 

The first thing I noticed was the Grapefruit scent which is lovely and very natural.  Even though I did notice the scent did not linger as much as normal shampoos maybe because its all natural with no perfume scent.  When I first started to wash my hair i did notice that there was very little to no lather while washing which was very strange to me but I soon got used to it.  I also noticed my hair was squeaky clean already after just one wash.  I to be honest was not satisfied with the shampoo for one reason, my hair felt like wire before I put the conditioner in and more wiriery than normal instantly I knew why.  I have dyed my hair alot and also suffer with dry hair so instantly I knew this shampoo was not suitable for my hair.  As far as using it for a body wash well it was beautiful and my skin felt so smooth and soft and not one bit dry.  

I have been using this shampoo on my childrens hair and the shine you see on their hair is amazing.  

Now we have the Conditioner for all hair types.  Human + Kind promises With the ingredients such as Hops extract softens and thickens the hair while Oat Kernel extract helps to add shine and increase manageability. 

I have to admit I was very very pleased with this conditioner.  While using the shampoo and it leaving my hair feel extra wirery I needed instant relief my hair felt so matted and not with the falt of the shampoo but more to my fault for years of dying and have very dry hair.  I was sure this conditioner was not going to be enough for me but I was wrong.  It gave my hair instant relief and literally my hair felt softer.  I couldnt believe it :)  And wow when I blow dried my hair after my first use of the conditioner I instantly seen the beautiful shine.  My childrens hair especially the girls hair looks so healthy and shiny too I have been asked a couple of times how they have such shiny hair.  

As you can tell by my review its a 50/50 result for me especially.  The shampoo did not work for me but the conditioner certainly did.  With the result of the conditioner I do want to try out the Shampoo for dry hair as I have a feeling I will get a better result :)  I will be sure to let you know how I get on with that with a whole new review.  If you are looking for an all natural shampoo and conditioner for non damaged hair or simply for your young family This shampoo and conditioner is 100% for you but for anyone who has badly damaged or dry hair it will not be suitable :) :) Dont worry I will not keep you in too much suspense with the result of the dry hair one as I am now as i type this buying it online :)   Check out Human + Kind Website for more information :)

Human + Kind All in One Facial Cleanser

I hope you are all well :) 

I havent done a Human + Kind review in I dont know how long and thought it was about time I tried something new from them.  After all they are an Irish Brand and I like to support my own :) :) 

I have tried this brand before twice I have tried their All in one Hand, Elbow and Foot cream which I absolutely love I have in fact bought my 3rd tube :)  And I also have their All in One Body Oil which is amazing also its non greasy and leaves a stunning glow on your skin.  

I have heard a couple of raves about their All in One Facial Cleanser and I just had to try it out for myself 

I bought this from Cloud10 Beauty for €14.95

Human + Kind say:  Our Wash-Off Facial cleanser is a rich, chemical free, facial cleanser that delivers exceptionally soft and completely clean skin

It lathers away excess dirt, face and eye make-up leaving skin feeling clean and refreshed. The creamy formulation moisturises and replenishes skin of its natural oils and softens and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. It comes with a FREE deep-cleansing cloth which helps to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, revealing radiant skin. The cloth is re-useable and machine washable and kind to the environment too.

The packaging I have to say they always do well with.  They have different coloured packaging for different products for instance the hand, elbow and foot cream is cerise, the body oil il yellow and this is a lover turquoise and yellow :) :) 
You are getting 100 mls of product and also the cleansing cloth in this one package 

The Cleanser is thick in constistant but not too think I can tell this is going to last a while as you only need a small amount to cover your entire face and neck :) 
The scent is lemony with a slight scent of T3 oil in it which I love as you are getting a clean fresh smell and that says one thing That this product is full of great ingredients which are going to do good for our skin 
Some of the main ingredients in this cleanser is:

Calendula Officinalis Flower (Marigold) Oil:  Which is an anti-inflammatery propertie to help with certain skin problems such as acne, eczema, sores, rashes etc.  

Centella Asiatica Extract:  Boosts circulation, improves collagen foundation of the skin.  which mean it helps with anti-ageing by improving skins firmness 

Aloe Barbadensis Extract (Aloe Vera):  This is a powerful moisturiser that goes directly to the skins tissue.  It sooths and calms the skin preventing any redness that may form.  Aloe improves skin tone and colour by increasing the blood flow to the areas of application.  

There is so many  other ingredient I am not going to list them all out or I will be hear forever :) here is a list of them you can check out yourself if you are interested :) 

My normal routine is to take my makeup off before washing my face and normally now I reach for waterwipes to take to most of it off, I then use my garnier 2 in 1 eye makeup remover to take away the heavy eye makeup I wear most days especially waterproof eyeliner and mascara 

Then going my the instruction I wet my face and applied the cleanser with my finger tips all over my face including my eyes.  Do be careful when applying to your eye area do not apply directly to there as it will sting.  When I opened my eyes to have a look I was astounded I literally thought all mascara was off my eyes until I seen extreme panda eyes.  Wow this does literally melt what ever products you have left on your face and this is without using the cloth. 

Next take your wet cloth and massage the product around your face and neck.  The result is amazing.  The cloth feel so so smooth on the skin.  Softer than cotton wool.  The only way I can describe how soft this cloth is New fluffy pyjamas or New fluffy socks wow amazing I am in love with this cloth.  Face clothes are rough compared to this little beauty.  After massaging my face and neck with this cloth I was shocked with the amount of left over makeup that was lifted of my face even after me using eye makeup remover and water wipes to take the most of it off my face.  My face felt so so clean and so soft and felt so refreshed after it and just to test if this beauty worked I went in afterward with my Garnier Marcellar Water to check if anything was left and zero product was on my cotton pad I was so so pleased :) :)  Infact my face was so clean my nose was shining lol 

The cloth is a big part in this too as it alone gently removed dead skin cells leaving you skin extra smooth I want to buy more of the cloths which you can from Human + Kind website they are simply amazing and so gentle on the skin 

Overall I am in love with this product It has become part of my daily routine now morning and evening :) :) 

Another Human + Kind Product that has impressed me once again :)

Pixy Lip Balm Review

Hey My beauties how are you all doing today :)  Wow this weather took a drastic change from been totally amazing and feeling like you were in Spain or some place like that to been back in the horrible Irish weather we are used to nearly 90% of the year just with the click of our fingers.  Ah well we were luckier this year than last year.  

I dont know about you but I am a huge fan of lip balms.  In fact I must have about 10 or maybe more different branded lip balms up in my collection that I love and adore .  Some I don't love as much but I always seem to want more and more You guys cant tell me you are not the same lol 

Well of course because I love Pixy so much I just had to try out their Lip Balms the fact that they are natural and affordable I ended up buying 3 :) well I do have a house full of little kiddies that sometimes need a dose of balm especially in the winter and summer months :) 

I am obsessed with keeping my lips in good condition there is nothing worse than having dry chapped lips and nothing is worse than have horrible cold sores all over them either so this is why I will always have a selection of balms everywhere and take my normal steps to look after them as much as I can after all your lips are very tender and very thin.  As Pixy explains there is only 5 layers of skin and no sweat glands on our lips which means we need to take good care of them and keep them moisturised.  

So Pixy put alot of work and thought into creating the right lip balm For our needs thats for sure :) 

To make the perfect lip balm, we at Pixyland, took Cocoa Butter which is famous for reconditioning the skin and so creamy that it melts into the surface and underlying layers of the skin. We mixed it with Shea Butter known for being full of vitamins and fatty acids that absorb quickly to protect, moisturise and soften your lips, and for those of you that suffer dry lips, a good dose of Almond oil was added for good measure!

For centuries Almond oil has been used to heal and deter dry and chapped skin, and being rich in Vitamin E, it is also contains great anti-aging properties.

In order for all these goodies to work their magic on your pout, we needed a natural emollient barrier; the best in Mother Nature’s closet is Beeswax, made by bees.

Beeswax locks in moisture and is a brilliant barrier against environmental free radicals, like chilly wintry days, central heating, all those necessary but nasty conditions that can play havoc on your lovely lips. Oh, and the best thing about beeswax is, it won’t clog your pores!

This is just the start of it because not only have they made a lip balm full of absolute goodness, they have put together 5 different flavoured lip balms for all us

I chose to get Strawberry, Coconut and Mint :)  You are getting 20g of product for €3.99 which is more than a bargain :) 

Strawberry oh boy oh boy mmmmmmmm This lip balm was the first one I picked to try out and believe me it smells amazing :)  If you are a fan of strawberries beware because this lip balm smells exactly like strawberry yogurt and you will be tempted to eat it lol.  My sister has one of these and is already over half way through it because she cant help but apply this to her lips every hour of the day :) 

Coconut coconut coconut yummmyyyyyy :)  This little beauty is in my handbag full time.  The delicious scent of coconut lingers in my bag I love it.  At time I even reach for it just to smell it.  This is my favourite one :) for sure 

Mint .... This feels absolutely fantastic on the lips.... If you have that red hot feeling on the lips this balm will surely put them to comfort and cool them down.  The mint is surely minty and perfect for those very important date nights ;) ;) I love this balm as it has that cool sensation and perfect for the Summer months when we are luck to have those hot days :) 

These balms are amazing each and every one of them feel smooth creamy and ever so moisturising on the lips.  They also make your lips shiny and kissable ;) They are so hydrating.  I brought my coconut one on a day trip on Sunday I went with my family and it was 24 degrees we were out all day and we all felt the heat on our lips even my dad.  I passed this balm around to everyone and they were instantly relieved.  Thank goodness I brought it because no matter how much we drank it did not relieve the dryness on our lips until we used the Lip Balm.  

I highly recommend having at least one of these balms in your bag for any time of the year :)

Pixy Almond Milk Face Scrub Review

Hey everyone How are you all doing today :) 

The weather has dramatically changed since yesterday here 

Its rainy windy and not so bright and cheery but hey at least its not freezing cold :) 

Today I am bringing you another Pixy Review.  I know Im kind of getting addicted but I just cant help myself.  The products are amazingly affordable and just smells irresistible.  

Today's review is on the newest item (Along with my big haul of items I got from the site :) 

The Almond Milk Face Scrub.  I was a tad bit wary about getting this because funny enough there is not many reviews about it but to tell you the truth thats what made me want to buy it more.  I love trying out products that dont have many reviews about them as I like the surprise :) 

Our Almond Milk Face Scrub is crammed full of skin softening ingredients like jojoba and apricot oils and buttermilk and yoghurt powders, to nourish and protect as it gently exfoliates leaving a delicious almond fragrance.

The scrub comes in a tin like container with a screw on/off lid and there is 50g of product which costs 9.95 euro :) which is a bargain believe me :) 

When I opened up the container I was greeted with the strong scent of almond mmmmmmmm delish :)  

As you can see the tin is jammed to the top that there is even some product on the lid I love that.      Lol when i seen this first it made me thing of frog spawn lol sorry I just had to share that come on does it not look like frog spawn to you :) Comment below :) 

Anyhooooooo

Well you all know how much I love the Pixy Cleansing Mud .  Oh boy that stuff is amazing and leave my skin feeling oh so soft its just beautiful (might not look beautiful) lol 

So I had high hopes for this and tried it out straight away.  

The instructions is straight forward basically 

Wet your face 

Apply a small amount to your face 

Massage gently using circular motions 

And rinse off using warm water 

Let me tell you now this stuff is super thick so you really only need a small amount to do your entire face :) 

When the scrub meets your warm face it instantly softens up and you get this amazing whiff of Almond as you massage.  It reminds me of Christmas every time I use this even though I dont like Christmas cake I love the smell of marzipan and it smells like that :)  

The beads look big but they are not at all rough on the face as long as you do not scrub vigorously.  The scrub does not lather in any way and sort of feels a little oily while you was washing but once you rinse it off that oily feeling is gone.  

My skin felt smooth and I did not have that dry tight feeling I get from some facial scrubs I have used in the past.  The fact that this scrub has all the nice natural ingredients in it make it even more pleasurable to use :) 

This scrub is so gentle to use that you could get away with using it everyday but to be honest I dont I would use this 3 times a week depending on how much I feel I need to use it.  

I have to say I do love this and if you are an apricot lover You will love this.  

I cant say I prefer this over the Pixy Cleansing Mud because I dont It surely comes first but I do recommend This scrub to you all to try out :)

I love that I love coming across reviews that I know will be good even before I read them but I still like to find out why and whats so good about it.

I have tried their Bath bombs and their cleansing mud which i absolutely love :) check out my reviews on them here 

When I first laid eyes on these at the Beauty show this year I instantly fell in love.  They look amazing and smell amazing but at the time did not buy any.  Since been told about them I was determined to try one so I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and instantly fell in love.  

There are 5 scented shower mousses to choose from 

Strawberry which contains Vitamin E oil and Jojoba Oil To nourish the skin 
Pineapple which contains Rich butters and almond oil to leave your skin smooth and soft 
Cocoa which contains Shea Butter and Apricot Oil to soften and enrich your skin 
Lime Sorbet(new) which contains Lime and lemon myrtle essential oils make brighten your day and make you feel fresh all over
and lastly Spa fresh which I will talk about more 
Each jar contains a show pouffe which is brilliant and very handy even to bring on travel.  

You are getting 300mls of product for 12.95 euro which in my eyes is well worth it believe me.  
It warns you on the site to be careful while having this in the shower as the container is glass and to be honest they are right as its a very fragile glass very thin and if it did by any chance fall it will surely smash on the first fall.  This jar is actually very light weight even though it looks big which is great from travelling just make sure if you are bringing this on travel to wrap it up amongst your clothing so that if your bag falls it will not break.  
another thing I noticed is that once you open this and the pouffe is released you will have to keep the pouffe separate to keep the jar sealed if you try to put pouffe back in it will spring up and the lid will come off so wait until you have used it a while before placing it back in.  

To use you simply dip the pouffe on top of the mousse make sure not to dig in because you will take up too much.  A little goes a long long way in the above picture you will see the amount of the pouffe and that literally does your whole body because once in contact with your wet skin this amount lathers up something serious I couldnt believe it myself.  Oh boy ladies and gent the moment you apply this to your body its like rolling around on cotton wool.  It feels AMAZING!!!!! Its so soft and the scent is released straight away.  HEAVEN!!!!!

Spa Fresh smells absolutely devine.  Spa Fresh contains primrose and peach kernel oils to leave your skin soft and supple.  I actually can not describe the scent but I can tell you that it sort of reminds me of soap they made years ago the soap my mum used to buy when I was a kid.  I think it was actually the Palmolive Soap the green one.  It reminds me so much of that.
So every time I have a shower with this it brings me back to my childhood :) :) 
Awwwww If you want to smell extra clean this is surely the one to go for.

The best thing about this is when i usually step out of the shower my body instantly feels dehydrated as i suffer with dry skin but with this I didnt feel the need to moisturise even though I still do anyway.  Also the scent lingers on the skin for the most part of the day which is brilliant.  Even now as i sit here typing this I am sniffing my arm and am in bliss :) 
I Absolutely adore this product and I plan to stock up on more scents for sure I have already cleared an area on my dresser from them lol
