Pixy Lip Balm Review

Hey My beauties how are you all doing today :)  Wow this weather took a drastic change from been totally amazing and feeling like you were in Spain or some place like that to been back in the horrible Irish weather we are used to nearly 90% of the year just with the click of our fingers.  Ah well we were luckier this year than last year.  

I dont know about you but I am a huge fan of lip balms.  In fact I must have about 10 or maybe more different branded lip balms up in my collection that I love and adore .  Some I don't love as much but I always seem to want more and more You guys cant tell me you are not the same lol 

Well of course because I love Pixy so much I just had to try out their Lip Balms the fact that they are natural and affordable I ended up buying 3 :) well I do have a house full of little kiddies that sometimes need a dose of balm especially in the winter and summer months :) 

I am obsessed with keeping my lips in good condition there is nothing worse than having dry chapped lips and nothing is worse than have horrible cold sores all over them either so this is why I will always have a selection of balms everywhere and take my normal steps to look after them as much as I can after all your lips are very tender and very thin.  As Pixy explains there is only 5 layers of skin and no sweat glands on our lips which means we need to take good care of them and keep them moisturised.  

So Pixy put alot of work and thought into creating the right lip balm For our needs thats for sure :) 

To make the perfect lip balm, we at Pixyland, took Cocoa Butter which is famous for reconditioning the skin and so creamy that it melts into the surface and underlying layers of the skin. We mixed it with Shea Butter known for being full of vitamins and fatty acids that absorb quickly to protect, moisturise and soften your lips, and for those of you that suffer dry lips, a good dose of Almond oil was added for good measure!

For centuries Almond oil has been used to heal and deter dry and chapped skin, and being rich in Vitamin E, it is also contains great anti-aging properties.

In order for all these goodies to work their magic on your pout, we needed a natural emollient barrier; the best in Mother Nature’s closet is Beeswax, made by bees.

Beeswax locks in moisture and is a brilliant barrier against environmental free radicals, like chilly wintry days, central heating, all those necessary but nasty conditions that can play havoc on your lovely lips. Oh, and the best thing about beeswax is, it won’t clog your pores!

This is just the start of it because not only have they made a lip balm full of absolute goodness, they have put together 5 different flavoured lip balms for all us

I chose to get Strawberry, Coconut and Mint :)  You are getting 20g of product for €3.99 which is more than a bargain :) 

Strawberry oh boy oh boy mmmmmmmm This lip balm was the first one I picked to try out and believe me it smells amazing :)  If you are a fan of strawberries beware because this lip balm smells exactly like strawberry yogurt and you will be tempted to eat it lol.  My sister has one of these and is already over half way through it because she cant help but apply this to her lips every hour of the day :) 

Coconut coconut coconut yummmyyyyyy :)  This little beauty is in my handbag full time.  The delicious scent of coconut lingers in my bag I love it.  At time I even reach for it just to smell it.  This is my favourite one :) for sure 

Mint .... This feels absolutely fantastic on the lips.... If you have that red hot feeling on the lips this balm will surely put them to comfort and cool them down.  The mint is surely minty and perfect for those very important date nights ;) ;) I love this balm as it has that cool sensation and perfect for the Summer months when we are luck to have those hot days :) 

These balms are amazing each and every one of them feel smooth creamy and ever so moisturising on the lips.  They also make your lips shiny and kissable ;) They are so hydrating.  I brought my coconut one on a day trip on Sunday I went with my family and it was 24 degrees we were out all day and we all felt the heat on our lips even my dad.  I passed this balm around to everyone and they were instantly relieved.  Thank goodness I brought it because no matter how much we drank it did not relieve the dryness on our lips until we used the Lip Balm.  

I highly recommend having at least one of these balms in your bag for any time of the year :)

Pixy Almond Milk Face Scrub Review

Hey everyone How are you all doing today :) 

The weather has dramatically changed since yesterday here 

Its rainy windy and not so bright and cheery but hey at least its not freezing cold :) 

Today I am bringing you another Pixy Review.  I know Im kind of getting addicted but I just cant help myself.  The products are amazingly affordable and just smells irresistible.  

Today's review is on the newest item (Along with my big haul of items I got from the site :) 

The Almond Milk Face Scrub.  I was a tad bit wary about getting this because funny enough there is not many reviews about it but to tell you the truth thats what made me want to buy it more.  I love trying out products that dont have many reviews about them as I like the surprise :) 

Our Almond Milk Face Scrub is crammed full of skin softening ingredients like jojoba and apricot oils and buttermilk and yoghurt powders, to nourish and protect as it gently exfoliates leaving a delicious almond fragrance.

The scrub comes in a tin like container with a screw on/off lid and there is 50g of product which costs 9.95 euro :) which is a bargain believe me :) 

When I opened up the container I was greeted with the strong scent of almond mmmmmmmm delish :)  

As you can see the tin is jammed to the top that there is even some product on the lid I love that.      Lol when i seen this first it made me thing of frog spawn lol sorry I just had to share that come on does it not look like frog spawn to you :) Comment below :) 

Anyhooooooo

Well you all know how much I love the Pixy Cleansing Mud .  Oh boy that stuff is amazing and leave my skin feeling oh so soft its just beautiful (might not look beautiful) lol 

So I had high hopes for this and tried it out straight away.  

The instructions is straight forward basically 

Wet your face 

Apply a small amount to your face 

Massage gently using circular motions 

And rinse off using warm water 

Let me tell you now this stuff is super thick so you really only need a small amount to do your entire face :) 

When the scrub meets your warm face it instantly softens up and you get this amazing whiff of Almond as you massage.  It reminds me of Christmas every time I use this even though I dont like Christmas cake I love the smell of marzipan and it smells like that :)  

The beads look big but they are not at all rough on the face as long as you do not scrub vigorously.  The scrub does not lather in any way and sort of feels a little oily while you was washing but once you rinse it off that oily feeling is gone.  

My skin felt smooth and I did not have that dry tight feeling I get from some facial scrubs I have used in the past.  The fact that this scrub has all the nice natural ingredients in it make it even more pleasurable to use :) 

This scrub is so gentle to use that you could get away with using it everyday but to be honest I dont I would use this 3 times a week depending on how much I feel I need to use it.  

I have to say I do love this and if you are an apricot lover You will love this.  

I cant say I prefer this over the Pixy Cleansing Mud because I dont It surely comes first but I do recommend This scrub to you all to try out :)

Product Rave: Pixy's Spa Fresh Shower Mousse

Hello My beautiful readers.  How are you all today :) 

Well I am sure you can guess by the title that this is already going to be a positive review :) 

I love that I love coming across reviews that I know will be good even before I read them but I still like to find out why and whats so good about it. 

I am sure you remember me talking about the Brand Pixy before but if you are a new comer it is basically an Irish brand/company who sells pure and natural beauty products.

I have tried their Bath bombs and their cleansing mud which i absolutely love :) check out my reviews on them here 

When I first laid eyes on these at the Beauty show this year I instantly fell in love.  They look amazing and smell amazing but at the time did not buy any.  Since been told about them I was determined to try one so I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and instantly fell in love.  

There are 5 scented shower mousses to choose from 

Strawberry which contains Vitamin E oil and Jojoba Oil To nourish the skin 
Pineapple which contains Rich butters and almond oil to leave your skin smooth and soft 
Cocoa which contains Shea Butter and Apricot Oil to soften and enrich your skin 
Lime Sorbet(new) which contains Lime and lemon myrtle essential oils make brighten your day and make you feel fresh all over
and lastly Spa fresh which I will talk about more 
Each jar contains a show pouffe which is brilliant and very handy even to bring on travel.  

You are getting 300mls of product for 12.95 euro which in my eyes is well worth it believe me.  
It warns you on the site to be careful while having this in the shower as the container is glass and to be honest they are right as its a very fragile glass very thin and if it did by any chance fall it will surely smash on the first fall.  This jar is actually very light weight even though it looks big which is great from travelling just make sure if you are bringing this on travel to wrap it up amongst your clothing so that if your bag falls it will not break.  
another thing I noticed is that once you open this and the pouffe is released you will have to keep the pouffe separate to keep the jar sealed if you try to put pouffe back in it will spring up and the lid will come off so wait until you have used it a while before placing it back in.  

To use you simply dip the pouffe on top of the mousse make sure not to dig in because you will take up too much.  A little goes a long long way in the above picture you will see the amount of the pouffe and that literally does your whole body because once in contact with your wet skin this amount lathers up something serious I couldnt believe it myself.  Oh boy ladies and gent the moment you apply this to your body its like rolling around on cotton wool.  It feels AMAZING!!!!! Its so soft and the scent is released straight away.  HEAVEN!!!!!

Spa Fresh smells absolutely devine.  Spa Fresh contains primrose and peach kernel oils to leave your skin soft and supple.  I actually can not describe the scent but I can tell you that it sort of reminds me of soap they made years ago the soap my mum used to buy when I was a kid.  I think it was actually the Palmolive Soap the green one.  It reminds me so much of that.
So every time I have a shower with this it brings me back to my childhood :) :) 
Awwwww If you want to smell extra clean this is surely the one to go for.  
:) I love it :) 

The best thing about this is when i usually step out of the shower my body instantly feels dehydrated as i suffer with dry skin but with this I didnt feel the need to moisturise even though I still do anyway.  Also the scent lingers on the skin for the most part of the day which is brilliant.  Even now as i sit here typing this I am sniffing my arm and am in bliss :) 
I Absolutely adore this product and I plan to stock up on more scents for sure I have already cleared an area on my dresser from them lol

Human & Kind All In one Hand, Elbow and Foot Cream

Hey my beauties how are you all doing this fine but cold day :) 

Today I bring to you yet another Irish brand Irish made product this time From Human + Kind in which i am not a stranger too.  I am still to this day loving their All in one Body oil and use it 90% of the time or when I feel my body is parched and is super dry.  I have the body oil about 8 months now and I have only used about 1/3 of the bottle which means i still have the majority of the product left and thats says alot :) 

Human & Kinds Newest release is their Hand Elbow and foot cream which was released at the start of the year and I have had it in my possession since it was released so I have put it to good use.  

The Human & Kind All in One Hand, Elbow and Foot Cream is 50ml of product and costs 7.95 euro which in my eyes is well worth it for an all natural product :) 

Aww the Packaging was the first thing i noticed about this and loved the look of.  Its a cute little tube with purple and cerise colours around it a real girlie packaging :) 

This is so handy to have in your handbag and its a staple in mine.  I carry it everywhere with me.  I even found it so so handy to have when i went to the outdoor activities centre last weekend where it was snowing and so so cold we were using our hands for the majority of the activities .

Ok so Human and Kind Promises that this cream will repairs and protect your hands, elbows and feet while softening up even the driest patches you have .  This is even said to be good for anyone who suffers with eczema and psoriasis. I used to suffer with psoriasis years ago and it went away for a very long time there is an odd time especially if I am stressed that it will come back but I will only ever get a couple of spots of it here and there and it just so happened in the last 2 months those few spots of it was about on my skin so I was able to even test it on that :) 

Plus I am a sufferer of dry hand more dermatitis so much so that my hands either crack and bleed or look like 60 year old womans hand its absolutely horrible.  I do have a HG Cream that seems to work for me but its nice to test out others to see just in case your HG ever stops selling or something :) 

This little tube of joy is JAMMED WITH NATURAL INGREDIENTS SUCH AS 

• Avacodo Oil:  This helps healing scars, locks in moisture and softens skin 
• Cocoa Seed Butter:  Is great for treating dry skin or skin conditions such a eczema
• Shea Butter:  Has amazing skin benefits it Is an intensive moisturiser ideal for dry cracking skin 
• Centella:  known for reducing fine lines and for healing and caring of wounds  
• Rosemary Oil:  Is another healer for the skin 
• Calendula:  Benefits Dry and Damaged skin 
• Vitamin E:  Acts as an antioxidant for the skin 
• Aloe Vera:  Is also a great skin healer 

So does it do exactly what it says on the tin or tube???

Well I have used this on:

My elbows and I have to say yes it has 100% made my elbows much softer 

My knee's even though it doesnt say its for knees (let me tell you been a mum of 5 and washing floors by hand on my knees I dont have the most softest knees ever) It has made my knees extremely soft its amazing :) 

My feet is also an area where i suffer very hard rough skin and to be honest i didnt find this to work well on my feet but has made a slight change 

My hands this has certainly made my hands softer and keeps them moisturised but when my hands a rough and cracked I didn't find this healed my cracks all to well but I love how soft it leaves my hands when they are dry.  Plus the cream makes my hands look glowing which is a bonus.  If you want your wants to heal of the cracks quickly this cream is not the one for you but if you want constant moisture your will surely get that from this cream :) 

What I love most about this cream is the scent awwwww it smells beautiful it kind of reminds me of T-3 oil but not overly strong :) Its smells like its really doing nothing but goodness to your skin which it is :) 

Now on my psoriasis spots it definitely help heal them the way it worked was really good it dried it out completely like a wound and then when i went for my shower it fell off (sorry for the details but thats what blogging is all about ;)

This is definitely one to try out I love it :)  I have it on my hands at the moment and the smell and feel of it is amazing

Pixy Rose Cleansing Mud Review

Hello my lovelies :) How are you all doing :)

Today I have an Irish Brand Review for you.  I just love that we Irish are building up in the Beauty World :) 

Today's review is on a Rose Cleansing Mud made by a Company called Pixy.

Pixy is a company based in Mallow in Cork and originated in 2010.  Their products are full of pure natural ingredients such as shea butter, coco butter, sweet almond, apricot, vitamin E, Goats milk, honey and many more all of which are doing nothing but goodness to your skin :) 

I have already got a review on another of their famous products the fabulous bath bombs :) 

This Cleansing Mud was first released in The new year and I was so excited to be able to try this out as my skin has went through some harsh times over the Winter.  With the heat of the house and then the cold outside alone thats not good for you skin.  As a beauty blogger I try and test alot of different makeup products which can also be harsh on my skin.  My skin normally is fine but like everyone else goes through the mill alot of the time.  Most of all over the winter for at least 2 month I had little to no sleep due to my lovely kiddies catching everything going be it the winter bug etc.  I needed something to give my face a pick me up without relying on makeup to cover it up all the time.  

This is where the wonders of this Rose cleansing mud came in for me big time :) 

Pixy Rose Cleansing Mud comes in a steel time with a twist able lid.  There is 60g of product literally jam packed to the top and this costs 9.50 euro each.  

Let me just tell you this is perfect for everyone with every skin type and the ingredients is even more interesting.  

Some of the ingredients is specially got from Morocco.  For instance Rhassoul Clay is one of the most perfect clays in the world as it contains ingredients that strongly absorbs all the bad stuff on your face and cleanses those deep impurities you have which is suppose to leave you skin conditioned and moisturised.  There is also another clay from Morocco called Red Clay which is full of natural exfoliates which gently remove dry and dead cells.  This is also rich in Iron which is suppose to improve the circulation of the skin and is also perfect for oily skin.  

Other ingredients such as Witch Hazel acts as an antiseptic.  Rose petals and rose water awwww the list is endless but all natural :) 

So what does it look like on the inside well wait and see :) 

I know what your thinking lol oh my goodness look at the colour of that lol.  Well the colour of course comes from the both clays in the products and the coco powder in there too :) 

The scent I tell you smells so so natural ok maybe a little funny and my kiddies were not exactly attracted to the scent when I asked them to smell it but its bearable.  Your certainly get a mixture of scents from this like the cocoa, vanilla, and the rose petals.  

Now let me tell you I was expecting the product to come out easy but it doesn't its that jammed up with product and the product is that thick you certainly need to dig your fingers in to get some.  But a little goes a long way :) let me show you just how much i use each time for my face 

Now what you are suppose to do is dampen you face with luke warm water and use a teaspoon is is roughly what that is in the picture make a paste and gently massage to you face, then rinse off with luke warm water and pat your face dry.  Bet you want to see what it looks like all spread out!!! Well I spread this amount all over my hand and up my arm let me show you 

Doesn't look too bad does it??? :)

Ok Now for my overall opinion !!!!!

Let me tell you now I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!

This is amazing I really mean that I use this once a week because that is all you need.  My face Feels smoother than every after using this and i have my favourite face products that leave my face smooth but I have to admit nothing as smooth as this product.  

What better is and I am sure alot of you out there will know what i mean when I say after I wash, ex foliate  cleanse and tone my face I always find a tightness around my bottom half of my face sometimes where I suffer dryness and the only way to get rid of that is to moisturise which I always do.  But after using this product I never feel that tightness I honest don't its amazing After about an hour if I don't moisturise I do feel a tiny bit of tightness but not half as much after anything else i use now that's a bonus.  I highly highly recommend this to you all to try :)

Pixy Bath Bombs Gift Set

Well Hello there my fantastic readers how are you all doing?  Boy oh boy its FREEEEEZING here in Ireland at the moment.  I suffer so bad with poor circulation on my hands and if i got for a walk like today with the thickest gloves on i still come home with white fingers.  So white they look dead thats the truth and each one of my fingers were pure white today so that gives you an idea just how cold it was.  Anyways Im blabbing again :) 

I just realised I havent done a review on Irish made products in a while tut tut Nina but I am making up for it today by reviewing these fantastic Bath bombs from a Company Called Pixy.  I first heard of Pixy on an Irish Morning show Ireland AM which I religiously watch every morning.  I really liked the look of the products and from then on had to try it out for myself.

Pixy are now doing wonderful gift sets suitable for Christmas and to be honest I am amazed at how affordable the are.  The gift sets starts from 9.95 euro which is what this gift set of bath bombs cost :) You can get the perfect hampers containing plenty of luxuries perfect for mum, grandmother, aunt, sister or even yourself ;)  So now that I have told you a little about the company and what they offer let me go onto my review of these Bath Bombs 

First of all these bath bombs cost 2.99 some 3.70 each to buy on their own so you are actually getting one free if you buy the gift set now thats a bargain to start off with.  This gift set as you can see comes with 4 bath bombs and is beautifully wrapped up.  Oh my goodness when i recieved this gift set in the post the moment i opened the packaging some wonderful scents just trickled up my nose I instantly went and ran my bath :) :) 
Each bath bomb is a different scent Let me show you a close up of them 

LimeLight:  This was the first one I tried out and I have to say wow the zesty scent is so refreshing even before you put it into your bath.  This bath bomb consists on Grapefruit and lime scent which is so fresh and manages to wake you up at the start of the day My skin felt so so smooth and soft the moment i sat in the bath I loved the scent and found it lingered on me most of the day.  

Honey:  Look how pretty this is :) The Gold glittery mica looks so so pretty :) :) I didnt even want to use this one i was thinking of hanging it on my Christmas tree haha.  Well I instantly knew I would love this as Honey is amazing for you skin.  It smooths and softens yours skin and the fact that its a pure natural ingredient its gentle on the skin too the scent is amazing also.  

Tutti Fruity:  Oh you can only imagine the beautiful scent from this little beauty :)  I figured this one was going to be the best one of all of them so I had to save it for last.  The beautiful scent of Passion fruit and mango is so strong on this that my whole bedroom was filled with the scent as it waited for me to use it.  Again with the fact that honey is in this leaves your skin feeling so smooth and soft I love it 

Lavender:  Well now we all know at this stage that Lavender is great for relaxation.  This one was saved for night time for sure.  As it contains lavender essenial oils you are left soaking in heaven with the lavender leave floating around you and doing what they do best.  I felt so calm collected and totally ready for a good nights sleep after this one :)

These Bath Bombs are surely value for money and I will be certainly adding a few to my Christmas present list for my family.  Ireland is really coming up in the world supplying us with brilliant products and I am so glad and so proud to be Irish.  Pixy is yet another company I can see making it big as they are affordable and have brilliant natural products that are purely heaven to use.  These bath bombs are perfect for any skin type as I allowed two of my kiddies to experience a Pixy Bath Bomb bath and they loved it and had no reactions to it :) :) 
They were so excited and amazed byt the sizzling bath bomb and they smelled scrumdiddlyumptious :)

Human + Kind All-In-One Body Oil Review

Hey my beauties how are you all doing today?

Well I am just reviving from my beautiful twin's birthday party yesterday wow does these parties take alot out of you but hey its fun and so worth seeing the looks on their faces.  Thank goodness thats the last of the birthday parties in my house this year lol 

So you may remember I made a little packed with myself and I suppose with my country that at least once a month i will try and review products that are made in Ireland after all we do have to support our own and its such a shame to say it but when you are living in your own country you tend to forget about it in alot of ways and be more interested in what other countries has to offer.  I started this last month and incase you missed my last Irish brand review click here to check that out

Human + Kind 

I never really heard about Human + Kind before so i was quite interested in finding out more about the company:

Human + Kind are based in Cork Ireland.  Rene Van Willigan was the man who was sitting in his kitchen one day listening to his wife and sister talking about their skincare products they used and the fact they had a cream for everything from wrinkle cream to body creams to hand cream and so on YES I HAVE TO ADMIT THATS WHAT MY PRESSES ARE FULL OF!!!  The one thing he did notice more about their conversation was the list of ingredients and harmful chemicals that were in each product.  Thats were he got the idea to do more research and see where he could change that.  

So Rene got down to working with Irish scientists to bring together his favourite chemical free ingredients to create his dream.  

That was 3 years ago and today Human + Kind is expanding not only in Ireland but in countries like Dubai, Hong Kong and the Netherlands :) 

The best thing about This company is they are 100% natural there is

The one thing i noticed was the packaging boy oh boy does it have alot of information on it :) :) Very fancy and informative :)

This oil has hit top of my list for making my skin smoother, soft and looking more healthy and glowing for sure.  I mean i have never come across a product to work almost straight away and i can tell you now the moment you use this you will notice a difference straight away.  

This oil is 100% a multi-tasker.  I suffer terribly with dry skin on certain areas of my body for example my legs especially my knee cap (after all i am a mum and i do spend alot of my time on my knees either playing with my kids or washing floors) and My poor knees get the brunt of it.  It especially does not look attractive when applying tan as my knees always look dirty. 

Other area i suffer is my elbow and yes every time i moisturise my hand i always always apply to my elbows it doesnt matter when :) but nothing keeps my dried up elbows soft.  Well nothing until now LADIES I APPLIED THIS STRAIGHT AWAY TO MY ELBOWS AND WITHIN A HALF HOUR THEY WERE SOFT 

The next day i noticed my elbows were still soft so i applied more everyday and within a week i have new elbows :) My knees oh my goodness the same now i am using this on my feet as i have the same problem.  

This is also said to be amazing for expectant mothers and anyone who is on a diet who have already lost weight this little beauty is suppose to help with stretch marks and scars because of "The stimulating and antioxidant powers of the oil invigorate the skin, eliminating toxins with each and every application as well as strengthening and toning the skins connective tissue"

Now i am not fond with using oily products on my skin simply because i hate standing around waiting for it to dry, I simply dont have time for that been a mother of 5 as you know yourself.  I found that this oil quick absorbed into my skin after about 30 seconds of application.  There is a tiny tiny scent to it which i do like.  I cant even explain what the scent is like but if i had to i would say you would know it was a natural scent. 

So not only have i got one review i have 2. 

I gave a little of this to a 60 year old woman i know very well, a woman who has tried and is still trying alot of creams in her life time .  I was talking to her about it and showed her what it looked like she applied a little around her eye area and we had a chat.  About 20 minutes later she paused and commented on how soft her eye area was.  She was very impressed.  The next day she called me and asked me could she buy the bottle off me :) she could not believe how just her eye area felt so soft even the next morning.  She has since bought a bottle and is using it everyday she has replaced it with her 30 something jar of face cream she was using before it :) 

Now thats says alot doesnt it :) 

What I am impressed about also is the beautiful glow it gives to my skin :) Its not at all greasy looking but more healthy looking my legs never looked better 

Ladies i 100% recommend this oil to you all ITS AMAZING
