Coastal Scents Hot Pot Eyeshadows Review :)

Hello My beauties :)  I hope you are all well :)
As you all know I am no stranger to the website Coastal Scents :)  I have all 3 of their reveal palettes which I adore and use alot and I have also tried some other items especially some of their hot pot eyeshadows :)  You can view all of my reviews here on them :)
Well I had to go back and order more of their Hot Pot Pressed Eyeshadows to fill up my empty Coast Scents Palette :)
Coastal Scents has 97 shades of these eyeshadows to choose from and retail at $1.95 each :)  So affordable right?!  Well at the moment they are having a sale of them where you can get them for $.99 each :) :) :)

So I decided to go for shades that are more on the neutral side.  I plan on filling my 28 piece empty palette with all neutrals and then fill another with more funking fun filled shades :)

So With 13 shades in my collection so far I decided to review them and tell you what I think of the shades I have chosen.  I find it very hard to depend on the shades on the website as they have no swatches on their and have notices by previous purchases that the shades look a little different to the pictures they supply.  I really think its important that you search for swatches as you may be disappointed with the shade otherwise.

So when I got my order I got my eyeshadows in a light mesh bag :)  Very pretty and very girlie.  The eyeshadows come in separate plastic covers that you can open and close at you convenience so if you do not have a palette to place them you can still store them in the containers you got them in :)  Behind each plastic container there is a sticker label with the names of each eyeshadow on them.  Fear not there is also a sticker on the magnetic part of the eyeshadow too :) :)

So what does Coastal Scents say about these :)
A 1-inch metal pan that contains a highly pigmented eye shadow for multiple applications. Each Coastal Scents Hot Pot™ fits snugly into one of the Go Pod4 Piece12 Piece, and 28 Piece Interchangeable Palettes. These custom palettes contain magnets in a soft foam padding which attract the metal pan of the Hot Pot. This allows you to completely customize your palette to create any look by simply adding interchangeable Hot Pots from the vast collection of shades, hues, and finishes.

Now I am going to show you the shades up close :)

PUMPKIN PIE:   One the website you will see that this shade looks completely different to its picture.  Its a light tan shade with a little orange undertone to it.    Its a matte and is nicely pigmented :)  Its the perfect transition shade you could look for especially if you are pale skinned :)  Its also very buildable :)  Soft creamy and easy to blend what more could you as for :)

OATMEAL TAN:  This is another amazing transition shade and a little like Pumpkin Pie :)  This again is a light tan shade but a little more of the brown side rather than the orange side.  Again this shade is also matte very creamy and easy to blend :)  Its another perfect transition shade.  The fact that there is not a whole lot of difference between Pumpkin Pie and Oatmeal Tan you could easily do with only one or the other :)  as they turn out the same way when blended :)

COPPER POT:  This is one of my favourites :)  Look how stunning it looks in the pan isnt it beautiful :)  You can imagine just looking at it how pigmented it is :)  Believe me its hard to get this shade as it always seems to be out of stick so make sure to keep an eye out and get your hands on it as soon as it comes in as you will love it :)  This copper gold will look absolutely stunning on you blue and green eyed girls especially its the perfect eye popping eyeshadow :) :)  So so creamy so pigmented and so easy to apply :) I love it

SUNSET GOLD:  A Ray of sunshine :) :) This is a little like Copper Gold only a little lighter :)  Again if you have Copper Gold you will not need Sunset Gold or visa versa.  This again is very pigmented creamy and easy to work with :)  There is alot more of a golden finish to this shade so if you prefer gold this is ther one for you :)

18 KARAT GOLD:  This shade is outstanding and another very popular shade on the site :)  This looks AMAZING on blue eyes and really makes those bright blue eyes pop.  I adore this shade and is a great pop of golden goddess colour :)  Its hugely pigmented creamy and very soft.  A little goes a long way :)

Here is a picture of all the shades so far against each other :) :)

LIGHT BRONZE:  A lovely medium bronze brown this again is shimmery and very pigmented :)  The perfect shade for working with when creating a daytime smokey eye :)  Another creamy soft and pigmented shade :)

AMBER BRONZE:  Wow isnt this looking fantastic in the pan.  Just look at that shimmer :)   This shade is a little darker than bright bronze and I actually prefer this over it :)  Its a deeper brown with golden and copper shimmer :)  The rustic finish you desire :)  This is hugely pigmented and a little goes a long way :)  So easy to work with and very buildable.  Another of my favourites :)

BOCA MOCHA:  Now doesnt this look very familiar to Amber Bronze :)   But fear not this not exactly the same shade in fact this is a shade or two darker :)  Its a dark brown with an amazing bronzed hue to it :)  Its amazingly pigmented and perfect for a deep smokey daytime look :)  love it :)  I think this may be the most favourite of mine between Amber Bronze and Boca Mocha :)

AMARETTO:    Another stunning shade and especially perfect for anyone with green/hazel eyes :) :)  This shade is to die for and again another of my favourites :) :)  This shade is a deep reddish brown with red and golden shimmer :)  Its amazing and very pigmented :)

CANYON CORAL:  I have to laugh at the shade it shows for this on the website !!! Check it out.
This shade is not the best shade I have picked as in pigmentation.  Its a satin burgundy brown.  This shade is stunning do not get me wrong but it needs a little more work than the others.  You have to build the intensity of the shade to see the beauty it is :)  Against my hazel eyes this really makes them pop :)   I wouldnt say to not buy this shade but prepare to work with it :)

DEEP ROAST:  This is a simple medium brown :)  perfect for brows, daytime liner outer corner lid shade :)  A very pigmented matte shade.  Very easy to work with too which is surprising because its matte but I love it :)

RAISIN BERRY:  I am deeply madly in love with this shade seriously how amazing does it look :)   A deep and stunning Maroon Hue eyeshadow with a shimmery finish :) :)  awww girlies need I say more than I adore it and love everything about it :)  The swatches will show you why :)

BLACK BERRY:  It explains on the site that this is a mauve navy shade but I dont really see navy in this shade its more like a mauve grey shade :)  Its a satin finish and again not as pigmented as some of the other shades.  You have to pack on the shade to make this work and blending it isnt as easy either.  I was a little disappointed with this shade to be honest and wouldnt repurchase it again

INCOGNITO:  This is down as a matte black shade but its not the blackest eyeshadow I have in my collection.  I would say that this is more of a deep dark charcoal black and to get more intensity we need to build the shade up :)  It is a great shade to work with and blends beautifully :)  I love using it as a daytime eyeliner and on the out corner for a deep smokey eye in the day time :)

I have to admit these eyeshadows surprised me :)  I was expecting the matte eyeshadows to be the hardest to work with when infact the Satin eyeshadows were the hardest.  The mattes worked like a dream and of course the shimmery eyeshadows are amazing :)  They are definately worth the money you pay for them.  The first eyeshadows I have tried were bought about 2 years ago and they still work brilliantly :)
I really want to get more but I think I will stay away from the satin shades :)
All the swatches above were made with no primer on top :)  They eyeshadows last all day and night long if worn over a primer.
I highly recommend these to you all to try :) :)
Here is an easy day time smokey look I created using "Sunset gold" on the lid darkening it a little on the outer third with "Canyon Coral"  I used "Deep Roast" on the outer corner and into the crease.  I also used "Pumpkin Pie" to blend out the harsh lines and as a transition shade :) I wasnt happy with the darkness of the outer corner so I deepened it a little with "Incognito"
I used all shades on the lower lash line too :)
I used a very small amount of "18 Karat Gold in the inner corner"

I really hope you enjoyed this review :)  What shades would you choose :)
Have you tried these eyeshadows yet
Until next time

Coastal Scents Interchangeable Magnetic Palette Review :)

Hello my gorgeous beauties :)  I hope you are all well :)
Todays review is on something I have been searching for for a while now :)
I have been looking for an empty palette that will fit most single eyeshadows from different brands :)
You may remember me reviewing Makeup Geeks eyeshadows not too long ago in two separate posts and I have been storing them in my UNII Palettes which holds only 8 of those shadows :)  I didnt like the fact that they were separate (a little bit of OCD in me) and wanted to buy a palette that I can have them all together in.
I also plan on buying more Makeup Geek eyeshadows which means an even bigger palette to have them together.
I have to admit having my UNII Palettes here is great as I love how sturdy they are and how amazing they look but to be honest buying a few of them to store my single eyeshadows will cost me alot of money which I have been trying not to buy because I am saving for my new bundle of joy.  The UNII Palette are worth every cent but to buy a few at a time would really be hard on my funds.  The UNII palettes cost $29.00 each and only hold 8 eyeshadows
I also opted to buy a Z-Palette which to my surprise was a little steep for price too.  The z-palettes come in different sizes and to buy the large one holds 20 eyeshadows and cost €25.00 to buy now I know that seems very little which I am sure it is but when you need a few of them it all adds up.
Thats when I did a little research and found this Interchangeable Palette on the Coastal Scents website :)  I was a little nervous about buying them as I thought maybe they wouldnt work but I took my chances and bought two of them :) :)

Each Interchangeable eyeshadow palette Costs only $9.99 each :)  A Big difference compared to the other palettes I mentions But the big Question is did it work do they hold my Makeup Geek eyeshadows ???
There are different sizes of empty palettes to choose from
  1. Quad aka 4 piece is only $3.95
  2. The 12 piece is $5.95 which also comes with a clear lid for the same price
  3. The 28 piece (which is the one I got) is $9.99 and also comes with a clear lid
  4. Last the single which is called Go Pro is $1.95

I wanted to get the one with the clear lid but they were sold out at the time.  The clear lid would be very ideal especially if you have alot of single eyeshadows from different brands you can tell them apart by simply looking through the clear lid but hey maybe the next time I purchase they will be available :)
The palette itself is a very simple plain black matte palette with Coastal Scents written on the lid :)  The Palette is very lightweight even with shadows insides :)  Its also very flat which is handy for travelling :)  Inside you will see 24 empty slots in the shape of eyeshadows with an addition tiny space to slip your baby finger or the end of a brush in to take the shadows out.   What I love about this palette is that its matte which means it will not stain easily :)
On the inside lid there is no mirror which I prefer as I want to put the names of my eyeshadows there in the order they are in the palette :)
I was so so excited to see if my shadows would fit in this palette and was wondering how they are going to stay in there
So I placed my first Makeup Geek eyeshadow in the first slot praying it would work :)
And did it????
YESSSS!!!!! The perfect fit I mean perfect and stays put even when I turn the palette upside down :) :)  Happy Dance !!!!!!!
Take a look :)

All my Makeup Geek eyeshadows are finally together :)  And I have plenty of room for more :) :)
My other palette is for my Coastal Scents eyeshadows in which I purchased more of the same day I will give you a sneak peak.

Thats all you get for now :)  Dont worry I will be reviewing these eyeshadows soon ;)
Overall I am so happy with these palettes the fact that they are Magnetic means any single eyeshadows that measure up at 26mm's.  The only snag about these is that Mac eyeshadows will not work in these palettes not due to size but due to the magnet's polarity.
I am definately going to purchase a few more of these to have as I plan on buying all of Makeup Geek Eyeshadows and more single eyeshadows from other companies :)  The price is amazing for these and shipping is not overly expensive too and no I never get charged customs even if I make a big order :) :)

So happy :) :) :)
Have you tried these palettes yet?
Let me know your thoughts :)
Until next time

Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties :) I hope you are all well :)
You may remember I have already reviewed Coastal Scents Revealed 1 & 2 palettes in the past and absolutely adored them :)  I still to this say reach for them :)  The Revealed 1 & 2 are supposed to be dupes of the Naked 1, 2 and 3 but to be honest I never really compared them to the Urban Decay palette because I felt I didnt need to as I just fell in love with the colours of each and the pigmentation of course :)  The fact that you can get 20 shades of eyeshadows per palette for only $19.95 is a bargain in itself never mind having amazing eyeshadows to choose from :)  If you didnt see any of these posts Check out my Revealed 1 and Revealed 2 palette reviews first before reading on.  If you are interested in these palettes at least you will have an idea of which one will suit your needs :) :)

Well when I heard that Coastal Scents was releasing yet another Revealed palette I just had to jump to the chance of trying this beauty out after all the first and second one never let me down so this one couldnt right?!  or could it ?

Like the first & second palette this comes in a handy little box which looks exactly like the palette itself only it has a picture of the palette in the back of the box.  The palette itself is really slim and lightweight which is always handy for travelling or even handier for storing in your drawer.  The lid of the palette is held closed by a magnet I love that :) What I love more about this palette is the front writing on it :)  The Reveal3d part is pretty cool :)

As mentioned above there are a selection of 20 shadows altogether a nice mixture of shimmers and matte which is always handy for travelling or doing your makeup in hurry as you are not looking for different palettes with different shades :)
As you have probably noticed there is a nice selection of berry, purple, golds and browns in this which is always nice to see in a palette like this and I especially got excited about the purples because they are my most favourite eyeshadow colour :) :)
So lets get started on the shades :)
  1. Shade 1 is a nice matte gone off white which is super pigmented and works great for a brow bone or inner corner highlight
  2. Shade 2 is another matte this time a nice peach shade which is also perfect for the brow bone or inner corner :)
  3. Shade 3 I thought would be a great transition shade which of course is but to be honest if you are pale skinned you might find this a little dark to use as a transition colour :)  This is a nice pigmented matte medium brown shade a little goes a long way with this :)  Its soft and very blendable
  4. Shade 4 is our first shimmer a golden peach which is handy for the lid but I did find you need to pack this on to get a decent amount of pigmentation so expect to spend a little time on this one :) but once applied looks amazing :)
  5. This is a nice satin medium brown with golden shimmers but the shimmer gives a satin finish :)  this is very pigmented and soft.  Stunning.  I do have to say this can get a little chalky and you will experience fall out if you do not tap off your brush
  6. A Beautiful deep shimmery gold.  Again another pigmented shade and very buildable :)
  7. A Beautiful deep satin Burgundy wow this shade is amazing.  it has tiny golden shimmers in it but once blended out this shade looks more matte than satin :) I love using this in the crease as a pop of colour especially when wearing neutrals :)
  8. A Bright shimmery baby pink again has little shimmers in it but could pass off as a matte :)  This is another shade that has to be built up before you get decent payoff with it especially if applying this on the lid :)
  9. This is like shade 7 only darker and more shimmer in it :)  A stunning shade and very very pigmented.  This is a little chalky and you will have some fallout but a little goes a long way with this shade
  10. This shade is amazing and very very pigmented :)  A Deep dark brown with beautiful red and gold shimmers :)  a little goes a long way but be warned you will have fall out with this and because its a darker shade you are best doing your eyes first with this one.  Even after tapping my brush with this I found there was still fall out :)

Next row :)

  1. Shade 1 This is absolutely stunning and probably one of my favourite shades :)  a deep purple with tints of gold and red shimmers :)  This has a satin finish and is very pigmented and easy to work with :)
  2. This is another purple but leaning more toward a brown with tints of purple :)  This unfortunately is another shade that needs work it need building up before you get any benefits from it :)  its also chalky which means your will experience fall out
  3. This is one shade I was super excited about trying.  In the pan it looks like a light purple but when swatched and looked closely you can see hints of red and gold shimmer which is very unusual as I have never tried a shade like this.  I was a little disappointed as it wasnt as pigmented as I thought and if you use this dry you will find that you have to pack this shade on alot before you get any use out of it.  I have used this with a damp brush but still found it was less pigmented than I wanted it to be
  4. This is a light shimmery pink with tiny shimmers.  It has a satin finish and is stunning once packed onto the lid.  Its a little chalk again so patting motions are essential but again a lovely bright lid shade :)
  5. A Shimmery taupe light in pigmentation but once packed on gives a nice colour payoff :)
  6. A deep golden brown and another favourite in the palette.  Its highly pigmented and works well in the crease, outer corner and even on the outer V.  Theres a but of course!!!  This shade is extremely chalky which mean if you do not use this shade with a light hand you are going to have major fall out even when tapping off your brush.  Its messy so make sure you apply your eye makeup before your foundation if planning on using this shade.  It blends well and does look stunning on the eyes
  7. A Deep shimmery gold.  You may think that this is like the gold on the first row but it isnt.  The gold on the first row is more of a yellow gold this one isnt as yellow.  Again this shade need packing on the lid before you get the intensity that you want but looks stunning when applied
  8. A medium taupe perfect for a transition shade its cool toned so its perfect for anyone with light skin tone.
  9. A Very deep dark brown with purple undertones.  This has some shimmer to it but once applied to the eyes you barely notice the shimmers :)  This is very pigmented but also quite chalky so again you have to be careful with fall out :)
  10. This did look like a black to me in the pan but when I swatched it, it was more of a dark charcoal with silver shimmers.  It could pass off as a black but I have worked with the darkest of blacks before :)  its a very pigmented shade and again chalky so handle with care.

Now for my honest opinion :)
I have to admit my excited was a tad bit distinguished once I started swatching as I was a little disappointed with how chalky these eyeshadow were compared to the other 2 palettes by coastal scents.  I also noticed that even though this palette has a wide variety of shades in it, first time users of eyeshadows might find it hard to create looks from this palette.  The shades are a little all over the place as a sense on shades complimenting each other like the first 2 palettes.  I have created a couple of looks in which are pretty easy to create.  The first one is more for day time :)

Starting with the top row shades
I used the 1st shade as a browbone highlight.
I used the 3rd shade as a transition shade deepening it more in the crease and outer V
To blend out the 3rd shade I used a little of the 7th shade as a pop of colour in the crease and a little above :)
From the 2nd row
I use 7th shade on the lid stopping 3/4 way outwards :)
I also deepened the outer V with a little of the 6th shade :)
I wanted a little brightness in the inner corner so I added a little of the 4th shade on the 1st row.
I hate that these shade have no names so I diagrammed the look to make it easier for you to see
I also created a very easy smokey eye that would be suitable for a night time or day time :)

I used the 1st shade as a brow bone highlight bringing it down nearer to the crease to help with blending I also used the 1st shade as an inner corner highlight :)
I used the 1st shade from the 2nd row all over the lid leaving the inner 1/3 blank
I then used the 3rd shade on the 2nd row on the inner 1/3 using the shade with a damp brush for more pigmentation
I use the 9th shade from the top row into the crease to warm up the look a little.  I then used the 9th shade to deepen the outer 1/2 of the lid and brought that shade into the crease deepening the crease also.  I wanted to go a little deeper so I use the 10th shade on the bottom row on the outer V and blended well :)
I also used a little of the 8th shade on the bottom row to help blend out the harsh lines :)
Here is my diagram to make it easier to follow :)

Alot of people will be put off by the fall out part and if you are in a hurry to do your makeup I wouldn't say this would be the palette for you on them days.  If you have time on your hands you will create some beautiful looks with this palette as alot of the shades are very pigmented.  If you use a base these shadows will last all day.
If I am been honest I did find this palette didn't excite me as much as the other two but I do feel some of these shades are stunning and very very pigmented.  If you have green/hazel eyes you would have more fun with this palette as there is alot of shades in there to compliment our shade of eyes :)
If I was asked to rate this palette I would have to rate it 7/10
Docking 1 point for fallout
Another point for the fact that if you are new to eye makeup you will find it hard to put looks together with this palette
and lastly because some of the shades lacked pigmentation
I gave it 7 because even though there is fall out from alot of the shadows they are still very pigmented, soft and easy to blend.

I really hope you found this review helpful and if you are more curious about this palette check out the Coastal Scents website where the palettes are on sale for $19.95 and sometimes when Coastal Scents has a sale these palettes can go for as little as $10 each which is more than worth it for that price :) :)
Until Next Time
