Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette Review

Hello Beauties :) :) I hope you are all well :)
You may remember last year I reviewed and swatched the Coastal Scents Revealed palette :)  Well I loved it that much I went back and ordered the Revealed 2 palette :)  To be honest lately I have been using the Revealed Palette alot because it has amazing shades and is perfect for everyday looks :)  I have almost hit pan with some shade so I may buy a back up :)
Well today I bring you my thoughts on the Revealed 2 Palette in which I have had for quite some time but dragging myself away from the first palette took some time haha:)

Each palette as mentioned in my last review is only $19.99 which is pretty good value for 20 eyeshadows :)  So has the Revealed 2 Palette lived up to the standards of the 1st one?

Like the first palette this comes in a handy little box which looks exactly like the palette itself only it has a picture of the palette in the back of the box.  The palette itself is really slim and lightweight which is always handy for travelling or even handier for storing in your drawer.  The lid of the palette is held closed by a magnet I love that :)

Well let me tell you beauty lovers out there before I opened this eyeshadow palette I thought it was not going to wow me as much as the first one but I was wrong !!!!!! Just take a look yourself :)

So lets begin with the eyeshadow:)  There are 6 mattes and 14 shimmers in this palette which is super handy as that means no taking out palette after palette to get the shades you need you have all in one :)

There is alot of mixtures of shades suitable for day-time and night-time looks and whats more is all of these shade have a nice warm tone to them :) :)  This palette sort of reminds me of the Naked Palette 3 :)

So Lets begin with the first row :) Its a pity these shades are not named but its not a major loss :)  So I will have to number them :)
  1. This is a very pigmented golden champagne shade :)  There is slight golden shimmers to it :)  but its the perfect inner corner highlight :)
  2. This is the first of the mattes and its a very light pink matte shade :)  The perfect brow colour or perfect for blending out harsh lines :)  Its very pigmented and soft and blends so nicely
  3. This is a shimmery peach gold shade a perfect lid colour :)  Its very pigmented and can be a little chalky
  4. This is a stunning shade a baby pink with golden shimmers.  The shimmers in this eyeshadow is a little chunkier than the first shades I talked about and if you are using this shade you will experience some glitter fallout :) You will also need to use primer with this shade as it needs something to cling onto to get the full effect of this
  5. A beautiful light rose gold shade :)  I am in love with this as it really brings out the green in my eyes :) :)  This shade is very pigmented a little goes a long way :)
  6. Another matte shade to the collection :)  A Light beige with a hint of purple :)  This shade is again soft creamy pigmented and perfect for blending out harsh lines :)
  7. A Very beautiful shimmery yellow gold :)  This is one eye shadow I dont have in any of my eyeshadow collection and I am going to have fun playing around with it.  Its very very pigmented and again a little chalky :)  It also has a slight metallic finish :)
  8. Another favourite shade of mine :)  A very pigmented deep rose gold with tiny gold shimmers :)  Stunning !!!!
  9. A medium toned copper gold shade another very very pigmented eyeshadow.  A Little goes a long way :)
  10. A very deep shimmer bronze :)  very pigmented once again.  A little goes a long long way :)
All Swatches are made with no primer underneath :)
Next up is Row 2

  1. Another very pigment matte eyeshadow :)  A medium taupe perfect for the crease or blending out :) :)
  2. A light bronze brown shade with golden shimmer :)  stunning neutral and very pigmented :)
  3. A light matte brown burgundy shade :)  This is very very pigmented, creamy, and soft :)  very blend able and works great for a crease colour :)
  4. A light brown with gold shimmer :)  Nicely pigmented and easy to work with
  5. A Deeper brown with more gold shimmer a deep number 4.  Very very pigmented and another favourite :)
  6. A Dark Brown with a tiny amount of gold shimmer a very deep brown very pigment and perfect for the crease or outer V :)
  7. Another matte this time a medium burgundy shade :)  This is great for a pop of colour to your normal daytime smokey eye :)  Its also stunning on people who have green eyes its makes your eye pop :)  very pigmented cream soft and easy to blend
  8. A Matte Medium brown the perfect transition shade and very pigmented :)
  9. A Deep Blackened Purple very pigmented.  I did find this a little harder to blend out but it is stunning when using purples and pinks It has shimmers which is not too noticeable once blended out :)
  10. Lastly a matte black but to be honest I dont see it as entirely matte as there is some silver shimmer in there :)  The shimmer is not too noticeable.  This is very pigmented and easy to blend

Seriously ladies this palette is brilliant I am totally in love with both of them :)  I will surely be buying another 2 for back ups :)  They are so highly pigmented and to be honest just as good as some high end eyeshadows out there.  With a cream base or primer these eyeshadows do not budge from morning to night :)  They feel incredibly soft creamy and are so easy to blend.  What more is each and every shade that is in the palette compliment each other and you can create so many looks out of 20 shades you will never be bored.  Do I think they are worth $19.99 each ?? OF Course without a shadow of doubt and sometimes if you are lucky Coastal Scents do an even better sale of them by selling them for $9.99 each which is what I paid for them when I got them :)

Here is a look I created with this palettes :) here is the shades I used
I also applied the Inner crease shade to the inner bottom lash line
The outer 1/3 shade to the centre of the bottom lash line and lastly the Outer V shade to the outer bottom lash line blending inwards :)

I really hope you enjoyed this review and let me know your thoughts :)  Have you tried this palette :)
Until next time

Makeup Acadamy (MUA) Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer Review

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well and also wrapping up well in this freezing cold weather :)
I havent bought anything from Makeup Academy in such a long time and thought a couple of weeks ago that I should pop over to their website and take a browse.  I am glad I did because I noticed a nice amount of new products for me to try :)
Now the Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers as far as I remember is around a while now but I thought I should give them a try :)
I chose 4 shades out of the 10 shades available :)  Each Lip Lacquer costs £3 :)
Makeup Academy state :
Smooch your way to red carpet glamour with MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers. Long - lasting and kiss proof, these intense formulas come in five rich, vampy shades. Encased in chic frosted glass packaging, these lacquers glide on with the ease of a gloss, drying in seconds into a matte velvety texture. They are the ultimate make-up bag must have.

I have to admit choosing just 4 shades was kind of hard as all the shades look beautiful and suited for everyone :)
So lets talk a little about the packaging :)
I think the packaging is absolutely lovely :)
Each tube of Lacquer comes in a black paper packaging with gold writing all over
The tubes are frosted with a black lid and on the lid is more gold writing which looks like you've paid more than what you really did ;)
What I also love is the doe foot applicator :)  I love getting doe foot applicators as it makes applying lip products so much easier :)  Especially when working with lip lacquers you need a good applicator.

So now that we have covered the packaging lets talk shades and formula's :) :)

Aflush:  This shade sure is a Spring/Summer shade :) a very bright Coral pink :)  This sure is a hate/love shade to be honest and in all honesty even though its a beautiful shade me thinks its not for me :)  Its very pale on my lips and not my shade for my skin tone :)  It applies sort of different to the rest of the shades too as I noticed it dries alot quicker so you have no time to clean up if you made a mistake :)  For all of you girlies out there who do love that bright pinky lip this is surely worth a try :)

Criminal:  Now this is more like it :)  Another perfect Spring Summer shade :)  The pigmentation of this shade is AMAZING!!!!!!  A Bright Fuschia pink shade this is amazing on the lips and perfect for everyone of every skin tone :)  This applies like a dream and even one coat is perfect :)

Dare:  This is an amazing shade and one of my favourites :) :)  This is a deep berry shade.  This will compliment anyones skintone :)  Its so highly pigmented that one layer is perfect.
Applying this is like a dream its so creamy and soft :)

Reckless:  This is you perfect red :)  It is the perfect suit for my skin tone as you will see in my lip swatches :)  I adore this shade and its actually making me want to wear red more often :)  This is perfect for valentines ;)

For those who may have never tried Lip Lacquers and wondering what they are:
Lip Lacquers are basically your lipstick, gloss and stain all in one :) :)  The difference between lipstick and lip lacquers is that lipstick has wax in it and lip lacquers dont :)

The MUA Luxe Lip Lacquers are in no question very very pigmented :)  When applying these at first feels like you are applying a normal pigmented gloss.  The Lip Lacquers start off very creamy but you have to work fast and careful with them because once they start drying they are non fixable unless you take them off with an oil based makeup remover.   When they start drying on the lips you will feel the product getting sticky so be careful not to snack you lips together while this is happening or its going to become patchy.  Once dry you can go ahead and apply another layer if desired.  When they dry they set to a matte finish and are budge proof.  I have even done the kiss test on my kiddies (with worried looks on their faces as my very bright lips comes towards them)  Not even the slightest mark :)

I do have to admit if you are one who does not like matte lipsticks you will not like these.  Also I highly recommend you ex foliate and lightly apply balm to your lips before applying these as they can be and feel very dry on the lips :)  If you are looking for a long lasting lip product that you do not need to top up every hour these are perfect :)  They will fade eventually in the corners on the mouth but a simple top up will sort that out.
I have found while wearing any sort of lip lacquers that you have to be careful not to eat anything with oils as oils will make the lip lacquer come apart on your lips.  The lip Lacquer will start to separate on your lips making it look extremely patchy (believe me I know as I shared some McDonalds chips with my kiddies and could feel the lip lacquer separating on my lips a horrible sight.

Overall they are definitely worth trying out for the price you are certainly getting what you are paying for :) If you havent had the best of luck in the past with Lip Lacquers you could try following these simple steps to try again:

  • Make sure you exfoliate your lips simply by gently rubbing your tooth brush in circular motions around your lips or make up you own homemade lip scrub with honey and sugar and gentle rub around your lips at night
  • Follow with applying your favourite lip balm onto your lips
  • Before applying the lip lacquers to your lips apply a tiny amount of balm and let that set on your lips
  • If you want extra staying power from your Lip Lacquer try applying a light layer of lip liner all over your lips :)
  • Apply one layer first and let that dry on your lips before applying another layer.  If you apply a 2nd layer while the 1st layer is in the middle of drying you will cause it to become patchy on the lips and end up with a total fail :)
  • Stay clear from any foods that contain oils
  • If you find the Lip Lacquer is too drying on your lips throughout the day apply a light amount of clear balm over the lip lacquer :)
  • Do not apply the Lip Lacquers on your lips if you are experiencing dry chapped lips as it will emphasis your dry lips :)
I really hope you enjoyed with review :)
Have you tried these yet?
Whats your thoughts on them :)
Until Next time

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

Hello My beauties I hope you are well :)
As you may have noticed I am way behind been in the land of Saop & Glory aka I have never tried anything from this brand EVER !!!! I know I know I am so bad :)  I tell you the reason.  To be honest when Soap & Glory first came out I was put off their products by their very strong sweet scent.  Anything like that gives me headache and I vowed I would never buy anything from this brand because of that :)  That was until I read alot of blog posts since then and realise since the brand is out longer their product have expanded and so has their different scents :)   Its taken me about 4 years to finally try out their products and I can safely say I take back what I said.  They have a much milder not so overly sweet scented products :)  I have already tried Soap & Glory's Deep Purifying Hot Cloth Cleanser and really liked it.   So Christmas just gone I received a beautiful christmas gift which gave me the chance to try out a number of Soap & Glory products :) take a look at this beautiful box of goodies :)

To be honest my skin has been very very dry throughout the winter.  I have found that exfoliating my skin with my usual exfoliator has cause more drying out to my skin than normal.  Dont even get me started on my legs GIRLS seriously its embarrassing just how flaky my legs are after each shower or bath.  I even reduced my exfoliating days to see will that make a different but its been too harsh.  So I have been on the look out for a product that exfoliates my skin but in the gentlest way possible.  I havent had the best of luck finding one that was until I started using this Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub :)

Soap & Glory’s cult-classic Sugar Crush Body fuses freshly-squeezed sweet lime, sparkling lemons, sweet vanilla musk and almond oil, with sea salt, smashed brown sugar, glycerin and macadamia oils to leave your skin feeling smooth, supple, and sexy. Miraculous on dry legs, elbows (really – all over), it’s energizing, exhilarating, amazing!

The tube is very big.  You are getting 300mls and its filled to the very top :)  You will be paying €11.29 for this which I think is a pretty great deal.  At the moment Boots is doing a 3 for 2 deal on Soap & Glory so Its the best time to grab this and try it out for yourself.

I love the packaging.  Its very girly and cute :)  The moment you set eyes on it you want a whole collection of Soap & Glory products to fill up the bathroom :) :) You might not impressed the other half by doing it but hey "What a girl wants What a girl needs What ever us happy will set the men free" :) :) ;) Right?!

Oh lordy The moment I opened this tube of gorgeousness I fell in love with the scent.  I mean the moment you open this you are hit in the face with this beautiful fuity zesty lime scent that you immediately want to jump into the shower and spend hours in there :) :)
While using this beauty in the shower the scent will put you in the mind of a sunning warm day waling through a garden full of beautiful flowers (mmmm smiling while I type this)  until you open your eyes and realise you are hearing the hail stone thumping against the window lol

Looking inside the package the scrub would remind you of squashed kiwis :)  The consistency at first is very very thick and gloopy.  Once spread on your skin and contact with water it immediately dissolves making it easier to spread all over the body.  While you gentle rub in circular motions you will feel the sea salt and brown sugar working its magic gently on your skin.  You will also notice the scrub turning into a milky substance.  What I love while rinsing this beauty of is that the Sea Salt and Brown Sugar quick rinses off your body which with other scrubs can be a pain to get off straight away.  I find with some defoliators you have to use a separate body wash to wash away the bits :)  This is a dream to wash off :)

My skin feels extremely soft and moisturised after use :)  The Macadamia oil which is infused in the scrub works its magic by moisturising your skin while you wash.  Sometimes I feel I dont even feel I have to moisturise when I come straight out of the shower depending on how dry my skin feels but I always moisturise after any shower no matter what as its a need on my case unfortunately.  Even though there is Macadamia and almond oil in this scrub it doesnt feel too oily on the skin while you are washing and the best thing about that is less mess in your shower!!!

If you have sensitive skin you are best of using this when your skin is wet but if you do not suffer sensitive skin and want the best exfoliating experience from this use directly on dry skin and then rinse :)  I tend to use this on my legs before I jump into the shower as my legs are the worst and I have to say its amazing :)  The scent has to be my favour thing about this product to be honest its just amazing :) :)
If you havent tried this yet I highly recommend it you will want to use it every single day :) :)
Have you tried this Sugar Crush Body Scrub yet ???
Are you a fan of Soap & Glory ??  Have you any Soap & Glory recommendations?
I think I have already become a new fan even after using this :) :) I cant wait to show you what else I got in the box of goodies :) :)  You wont be waiting long I promise :) :)

Until next time

Makeup Revolution Medium Matte Bronzer

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
I finally dragged myself away from my usual daytime bronzer that I absolutely adore and to be honest neglected any other bronzer that I own because of it :)  If you are a regular reader you will know that I religiously use my Blank Canvas Cosmetics 6 pan Palette because its the bomb and literally the most amazing product ever.
I have to admit I have had this bronzer for quite some time and finally got using it for the past week :) Thanks to watching Dyna's Videos I couldn't resist and wanted to try this for myself

There is 3 different types of bronzers from this range
The first one which is Light has shimmer in it
The 2nd of course is Medium and is matte
The third is called Bronzed and I am nearly sure is matte as well :)
I really wanted to go for light but I am not a fan of shimmery bronzers and Bronzed looked too dark so I opted for Medium :)
Each bronzer only costs £2.00 which is very good for what you are getting :)
First of all let me show you the packaging which I think is so handy and very different :)

Its genius :)  I love how instead of lifting the lid off the bronzer which sometimes can break especially with affordable bronzers.  You click the side of it (1st picture) then twist it open :) :)
I Personally think this is even better as the bronzer is well protected and wont break too easy if it falls to the ground :)
When you turn over the packaging you will see a nice sized mirror.  Also in the back when you open the bronzer you will find a little slot with a a sponge :)  To be honest that a sponge with a bronzer is a little unusual.

When I first swatched this bronzer I thought "oh oh this this going to make me look like an oompa loompa" but I guarantee the swatch is alot stronger than it looks when used with a brush :) :)  The shade of this bronzer is more of a warm toned shade which is a little different to my normal bronzer which is cool toned.

I have been testing this alot and to be honest I am a contour addict.  When I do my makeup I cant not contour!!! Fact !!!  I have found however that this bronzer if used all over my face makes me look a little too orange but I love using this to contour my cheek bones :)  I love the effect and find it gives me a natural contoured look :)  When used with a light hand you can build the intensity you desire :)  For anyone with fair skin I highly recommend using a light hand.
The bronzer itself is nicely compacted and is not one bit chalky.  The powder feels soft to the skin and blend easily :) :)  Its very pigmented so a little goes a long way :)
Here is a photo of what it looks likes when used to contour my cheek bones :)

Overall I think its great value for money and for anyone who wants a nice natural golden bronzed look this bronzer is for you.  It has not dragged me away from my normal bronzer which I use all over my face but once summer hits and my skin is a little more tanned I will surely be reaching for this beauty alot more :)

Have you tried this bronzer yet?
Whats your thoughts on it?
Until next time

You know you are a Beauty Blogger when..........

Hello My Beauties :)
I have often seen this type of blog post going round while I catch up on my favourite blogs :) :)
I have to say I really enjoy them and literally find myself nodding to every last one of them.  So I figured it was about time I posted one up for myself, after all I am nearly 4 years blogging and found blogging has changed me and my way of thinking and how I live my life (of course for the better ;)

So from my own experiences and from my own habits I am going to tell you How I and the people around me can tell that I am a beauty blogger :)
Starting with weather :

You know your a beauty blogger when................

  • You have 3 to 4 different weather apps on your phone so you can check if the sun is going to be shining the next day
  • You know exactly what time the sun is going to be shining in each window through out the day.
  • You are sitting at home blogging or out shopping suddenly the sun decides to shine so you drop all run to get your camera phone and products and race outside before the sun goes back in behind the clouds.
  • Spring and Summer become your favourite months of the year because the sun shine continuously and you get the best pictures ever
  • You would even find you drag yourself out of bed at 6 am in the morning to see the sun rising and get you products ready for photos straight away.
  • I found been a mum I have kids up and out to school, housework done all by 9.30 am just so I get my photos and swatches done :)

Social Media & Online shopping !!!!

  • You know are a part of every social media site out there
  • The first thing you do in the morning is check your emails, social media sites or any notifications you may have.  You do this check about 4 or 5 times a day
  • Your youtube subscriptions are full of your favourite beauty gurus and your become obsessed with watching their videos every single day
  • Your family may actually tell you that you are neglecting them as you car constantly on your phone, tab laptop !!!! a little more than you should
  • You become obsessed with online shopping a little more than you would like.  The moment you see something new on their social media sites YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • You jump out of your skin when your favourite makeup brand announces that they have now got an online store :)
  • You are constantly going onto your favourite online stores,  FILLING UP THE BASKET OF WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY BUT THEN X OUT BEFORE CLICKING THE CHECKOUT BUTTON A GIRL CAN DREAM EH?
  • You literally can not go through a day without taking pictures for Instagram be it food, makeup or even taking a selfies to show your Face Of The Day :)
  • You become a stalker....... Obsessing over your favourite blogger/youtubers social media pages :)

Wishlists & Shopping

  • You find you have a wishlist as long as the river nile and promise yourself with all your power that you will have everything ticked of that list or SO HELP ME GOD!!!!!!!
  • You have finally got the cash to splash out on one particular product that has been on your wishlist for some time only to realise its either all sold out or not available anymore NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
  • You finally got the email you have been waiting for:  The product you have heard is been released is finally available to buy.  You race to the next available store to buy it only its out of stock

  • You are out shopping with your loved one and suddenly see there is new makeup stand there.  You spend about a half hour swatching only to realise you have most of the products in your basket.  You turn around to see your loved ones face which is not happy and you just gotta use those eyes to get what you want :) :) Always works !!!!!!

  • You go into Boots to get one item only to notice there is a 3 for 2 offer going on and you walk out with a bag full of products GUILTY EVERYTIME!!!!!!!!

  • You turn your children against any pharmacy, department store and of course Boots because everytime you pass it you just have to go in there for "a second" only to look at your watch and notice you have been in there for a half hour.  OOOPPPPS :)
  • You have now got the excuse that you need every shade of every product when questioned by a loved one "Do you not have that one at home already" "yes I do but not this shade and really need to get it for my blog"
  • Someone decides to talk about makeup or beauty products to you when you meet them and its like music to your ears as most of your closest family has no interest and you cant understand why.  So when someone decides to ask you a question you literally want to tie them to the chair and keep them there forever hahahaha ok
  • You absolutely love Beauty Blogger Meetups after all you are surrounded by lots and lots of people who have the same interest as you its amazing and I try to go to every last one :)

  • Swatching is a big thing in your life and maybe a little too much as you walk around with swatch stains on one arm which is something you are well used to but when you are suddenly questioned my someone "What happened to your arm" with a concerned face.  You need to get the exfoliator out
  • The postman becomes your best friend :) :)
  • You so excited that a parcel has come in the door, you rip the box open, look in awwww at the products and cant wait for the sun to shine so you can take pictures of them before you swatch them :)
  • You have a certain box in your room full of products that has to be pictured, swatched and tried :)
  • When you have about 30 + lipsticks in your collection and you little woman gets a hold of one of these lipsticks and decides the wall could do with some colour.  Its suddenly your favourite lipstick and you start going through every emotion you can think of.

  • You spend hours putting on makeup, dressing up and doing your hair in preparation of making a video (even though usually your bottom half is pyjamas) or taking pictures of you wearing products
  • Your book collection is replaced with makeup palette collections...... Honest I got rid of the books from my shelf and placed my palettes there instead :) :)
  • You tend to take about 100 photos of the one object just to get the right one :)
  • You literally fall to the floor throwing a tantrum because you have just broke either you laptop or camera.  Its true I have broke both and the first time I fell to my knees crying the 2nd time was a little something like this...... lol

So there you have it some of the pointers of how you know when your a blogger :)
I really hope you enjoyed this post and let me know your points :) :)
Until Next Time
