Sharing the Love #6: Interview with Megan-Rose from A Little Bit about Makeup and Beauty

Hello My beauties how are you all doing today :) :)
I cant believe how many of you have shown interest in my series of share the love :)  I was only expect a few people to apply but lots of you showed great interest and also enjoyed doing the Interview...... If you are a blogger and want to join in just comment below with your email address and we will work from there.
Today's visitor is the Lovely Megan-Rose from A Little Bit about Makeup and Beauty.    She too is an Irish Beauty Blogger and I have had great pleasure in meeting her at the Cork Bloggers Meet-up.  She is just as lovely in person as she is her blog :)  So let me allow you to get to know her better ............ Hit it Megan-Rose :)

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Megan-Rose and my Blog is A Little Bit of Makeup and Beauty. I  am 23 and from Dublin. I am a Makeup Artist aswell as a Cocktail Bartender. I love to travel and socialise with friends.

2. Tell us a little about your blog…
I started A Little Bit Of Makeup And Beauty a little over year half ago now, it started off primarily as just a makeup blog but has slowly progressed into fashion, beauty and a bit of life blog.

3. What inspired you to start up your blog?
I had just finished makeup college and had so much new knowledge about things I felt as if I was going to burst. Even before college I always had a keen fascination about makeup and was always trying new products. I just wanted somewhere to jot down my thoughts and even if people read it or not it was still out there.

4. What is your dream job?
I already have it I work as a Makeup Artist, I want to progress more in it and I really love to get involved in more special effects and learn about prosthetics and all. If I can combine my job with my love of traveling that would be amazing, I plan to see the world before I die.

5. Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read?
Cherry Sue Doin the Do always puts a smile on my face,Forever Fabulous in Bows for Sian's impeccable fashion tastes, and this is cheating because
she's on YouTube but Helon Melonlady I just love her videos and her infectious humour.

6. Your favorite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
Skin care would have to be my new Glam Glow (the black one) it makes my face as smooth as a babies bottom, Hair Care you can not go wrong with a bit of Boots hairspray love it. Makeup is a toughy I have yet to find my holy grail product I am forever chopping and changing, but I will never give up on gel liner (Inglot/Maybelline) love them with my Crown angled eyeliner brush.

7.  If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
If your doing it for the right reasons then do it, just start writing do not worry about what people may think or that your writing skills or design skills are not impeccable. There's always autocorrect! Write about thing that make you happy, do not worry about views or followers. If you enjoy it that is all that matters.

8.  Can you tell us what is in you handbag?
Haha which handbag, no picture because their in a mess, I hoard receipts I am a devilment for doing it, not as bad as when I was younger but still pretty bad ( I used to save them all in a box and count how much I spent over the year.) Yep I am a bit weird. My blogger journal, makeup bag, purse , phone charger, countless amounts of earrings, ids, house keys, bar blade, bottle openers, pens usually what lies in the bottom of my bag

9. Where else can we find you apart from your blog?

10. Any last words for us?

Oriflame Giordani Gold Voluptuous Lipstick in Pink Lace

Hello My beauties :) how are you all doing today.
My apologies for been so slow with the reviews as the weather has been so so amazing the last 2 weeks it was hard to sit down in front of the laptop and do blog post especially with 5 kiddies and the fact that here in Ireland we are not used to such amazing weather so I took advantage with the kiddies and had a good few amazing day trips.  Right now as I look out the window I have a little sad face :( because its bucketing down meaning the rain is back :( and i have a constant reminder that only 2 days ago I got the most amazing tan a little too much in some places and it makes me already miss the beautiful weather but hey we were luck and summer is not over yet so we could get it back
Anyways I promise I will not slack anymore :) and today I bring you another Oriflame Product
This is my first time trying out Oriflame as I told you in my last review and when i saw this lipstick in the catalogue I just had to try it out.
Ok I have to admit The packaging attracted me more to this range of lipsticks.  The price didnt believe me but I just said I would give it a go and normally packaging is not a big deal to me but I just couldnt resist.  You have to admit yourself It looks fantastic.
To me the packaging on this Lipstick says woman with taste woman who loves a bit of gold in her life.  Woman who has paid big money for this lipstick !!!!
There is actually a whole range of lip products in the Giordani Gold range on the Oriflame Catalogue and they are verging on the more expensive side of the Catalogue.  There is more expensive lipsticks Like the More by Demi Lipstick which costs €21 and to be honest unless I see some reviews myself I dont think I could part with that amount of money for a lipstick
This lipstick on the other hand cost me €12.45 which was reduced from €19.99
Still expensive in my eyes but I treated myself and seeing as my baby girl destroyed by only expensive lipstick I have to my collection I went for it :)
Saturate your lips in a veil of glossy colour and multifaceted shine. With its comforting formula, this lipstick glides on smoothly and feels exquisite to apply. Its unique HydraFull Complex helps to impart clinically proven 8h moisturisation for fuller, more sensual lips that fascinate.
There are 10 shades to choose from in this lipstick so I went with the shade Pink Lace.
Pink Lace is a nude pink shade with tiny silver shimmers in it.  I have to say I was well impressed with the shade and glad the picture on the catalogue was near to what the actual shade is.  I am not a fan of shimmer lip products but to be honest the shimmers wear off with the lipstick.  The shade is sheer to begin with and to be honest I was expecting it to be a bit more pigmented but you can build it.  The texture reminds me alot of the Revlon lip butters.  Its very creamy and moisturising and feels like a balm on the lips.  It doesnt dry out whatsoever and lasts about 3 to 4 hours before I have to reapply.
This does feel moisturising and even though the shade doesnt last on the lips for more than 3 to 4 hours the moisture feeling lasts longer.  There is a slight cosmeticy scent off the lipstick not quite as strong as the Loreal Lipsticks but you will still get the scent.  I am impressed with the lipstick but to be honest I would not pay the full price again for a glossy lipstick.  I have more pigmented glossy lipsticks in my collection that was alot more affordable.  If the price was cheaper of course I would have probably all of the shades in my collection as it is a lovely lipstick.

This is a photo of what the lipstick is like on the lips taken with flash :)
This is what it looks like in day light :)
It is a beautiful lipstick and perhaps if it was a little cheaper I would buy more of them as they are quite moisturising and look amazing on the lips they give a plump look which I love.
Have you tried this range yet
Until next time
Lots of Love Luck And Laughter

Sharing the Love #5: Interview with Nicola Stylish but Skint

Hey everyone Oh my good the weather is actually to die for here :) Im in heaven and looking forward to a brilliant day with my family today we are going to a place that has about 565 acres of land (some walking has to be done) I shall be doing a blog post about it as I will be doing something new very soon :) So on with my 5th interview and let me introduce the lovely Nicola. Nicola owns the blog Stylish but Skint and she is from the UK :)  She has the most beautiful red hair you would actually mistake her as an Irish Gal :) Here is her interview :)

1.  Hey..... Welcome to my blog :) :) Can you tell us a little about yourself :)
My name is Nicola and I'm a student teacher but I love to blog on the side. I'm 24 years old and I live with my boyfriend in the North East of England.

2.  Tell us a little about your blog
I mainly blog about beauty products. It annoys me so much when you see other beauty bloggers raving about how great a concealer or lipstick is but they don't actually show you it on their face. For all beauty products I review I always include a picture of the product in action.

3.  What inspired you to start up your blog
I started my blog in 2008 when I was doing my undergrad degree. It started off as a fashion blog but slowly evolved into beauty.

4.  What is your dream job?
My dream job would actually be a wedding planner. I love weddings! However I think I'd have to relocate to New York to even have a chance at that

5.  Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read ?
I love dizzybrunette3, milkteef, Sprinkle of Glitter, Fleur de Force, gh0stparties... the list goes on!

6.  Your favorite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
I'm really lucky with my skin as it's not at all oily and I generally don't get blemishes, nor is it particularly dry. I can get away with using skin care products that are very kind to my skin such as the Simple range. For hair care I tend to reach for Tresemme as I feel it doesn't weigh my hair down and as for make up I own a lot of Rimmel products.

7   If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
Don't be scared - just go for it! But also don't expect it to be an overnight success. My blog is very new and I don't have many followers. I try not to let is dishearten me and just keep at it. Hopefully one day people will value what I have to say about beauty.
8.  Can You tell us what is in you handbag?? (hehehe I like been nosey?  Include a picture ?
Despite the rain, I always keep a pair of sunglasses handy. I also have mints, various lipsticks and chapstick, my purse, hair grips and a notebook.
`
9.  Where else apart from your blog can we find you aka twitter facebook etc.

Oriflame Studio Artist Cream Blush in Pink Glow Review

Hey my Beauties How are you all doing today :)
Well now ever since Avon announced they were leaving Ireland forever I have been so disappointed because I have been a fan of Avon for years So has my mum and my grand mum 150+ years is a long time to sell in Ireland and then stop all of a sudden.
Sadly it has happened and we all had to come to terms with it without a choice :( but how i missed the Avon catalogue coming through the letter box every month and how I missed sitting down at night with my munchies and my cuppa and having a good nose through the catalogue It became a tradition and I was actually missing it alot until one day I came home from a walk and seen a catalogue on my door at.  I pick it up and it says all over it ORIFLAME then I saw the name of my rep This got me very interest because it looked so much like The Avon Catalogue.  I ran straight to the laptop to investigate because I never heard of Oriflame before
Basically to cut a long intro as short as possible Oriflame is a swedish company who sell high-quality Natural Skin care and Cosmetic products basically like Avon.  They are around as long as 1967 which I cant believe I havent heard of them been around this long.  Here is some facts from the site themselves to give you more of an insight
• Products based on natural ingredients, never tested on animals
• Over 7500 employees
• 950 new products annually
• Co-founder of World Childhood Foundation
• 5 own production units in Sweden, Poland, China, Russia and India
• Operations in 62 countries of which 13 are franchisees

Well now I just had to try this out to see What it was like.
As you can see by the above photo I was a good girl and didnt go crazy.  Well to be honest the prices are a little more expensive than Avon was and I was been Careful.  So today I am going to review
Oriflame Studio Artist Cream Blush
"Professionally developed lightweight cream blush that sculpts and highlights the cheeks for a healthy, natural glow. Buildable colour blends effortlessly into skin, creating a soft-focus effect. Contains light-reflecting IllumaFlair for a natural and luminous result in any light."
This costs €6.85 for 20mls :)  There are 3 shades available
Soft peach
Pink Glow
Sherry Berry
As you can see the blush comes in a squeezable plastic tube form.  I like that it is clear so you can see the shade of blush you have if you have more than one shade.  The lid screws on and off which is also great as there will be no fear of loosing the lid in your bag.  The writing on the tube seems like it will wear off after a few uses but i dont mind that :) I love that each time you use this you have perfect control of how much product you actually squeeze out instead of wasting alot of the product like some cream blushes I have that have a pump
So the shade I choose is Pink Glow
This shade is absolutely stunning it is a nice rosey pink with gold micro-shimmers in it.  Ladies dont worry the shimmers are not they type to make you look like a disco ball I promise !!!
The consistancy of the blush is actually quite  thick not overly for an affordable blush The following picture I am going to show you is just a simple little squirt and you will tell by the picture the thickness of the blush
Now let me tell you the pigmentation of this blush is actually shocking.  I took a little pea sized dip at this swatch and rubbed it into my arm beside the swatch and  could not believe how much it spread.  Oh my goodness you literally only need less than a pea sized amount for each cheek wowzer even this swatch is waaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much I literally had to waste the most of the swatch.
The picture says it all eh?
I found this blush absolutely amazing to blend.  No patchiness no mess I just dab a bit on my cheeks and even it out with either my BCC F20 flat top kabuki brush or use a beauty blender.  The finish?  A beautiful healthy flushed look with a stunning glow :) I am in love with this blush it looks so natural.  This blush would be suitable for any skin tone because you can build it up to whatever intensity you desire.  Just be careful not to apply too much too quick.  Start with a dab and then reapply if needed.
The lasting power is actually just as good I found it did not start wearing off my cheeks until about 8 hours of wear but in all honesty if you are not hugging children all day it will last until you take it off.  :) :)
I give this blush a sure 9/10 indefinitely.  The cream blush is especially perfect for the summer month where the sun is shinning and catching the micro-shimmers on your cheeks making your cheek bones look boot-i-ful!!!!
As you can see I am wearing the blush lightly and it gives such a beautiful all day flush I love it.
Have you tried this blush yet :) Check out the website for more information and see what else Oriflame have to offer :) keep an eye out for more reviews on the products I got in the first photo :) :)
Until Next Time
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter

Share the Love #4: Interview with Orla from Makeup over Mind

Hello my beauties How are you all doing today :)
Well I am totally enjoying the Summer we are having lately its so so beautiful and HOT 22 degrees yesterday LOVING IT.
Its that time again Sharing the Love on Nina's Blog yeeeeeeeee
Today I have the Beautiful Orla from Makeup Over Mind
This Woman is an absolutely darling I still have not met her in person but I will in the future I know it.  Just look at her eyes they are stunning.  Orla is from Ireland and She has both a blog and youtube channel where she does reviews and tutorials.  I love her tutorial she explains them to a T and you dont get an confusion from her whatsoever.  I have been following her for so long now that I cant wait until her next post or video is she is brilliant anyways I am rambling here is Orla

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Orla, I'm from Galway. I'm just about to turn 24 (eek...quarter life crisis) and I'm currently finishing my Masters in Health Psychology!
((((Orla Hunny try hitting my age then you will be eekking lol 24 is so young))))
2. Tell us a little about your blog…
I started ‘Makeup Over Mind’ a year and a half ago and (as the title would suggest) it’s jam-packed with makeup obsession! I do a mixture of reviews, comparisons, hauls, and makeup looks. I especially love writing reviews as I try and treat each one with detail and objectivity...but I guess that's the psychology training coming out in me! I also do some YouTube videos to compliment the blog, although not as much recently due to mountains of college work…

3. What inspired you to start up your blog?
I've always had an interest in makeup artistry and I did a weekend-long course when I was 16-years-old. None of my friends were ever as obsessively into makeup as I always was, so I guess I was also looking for an outlet for my makeup love! I had been an observer of the online makeup community for so long I decided to finally dip my toe in the water. It was the wonderful Simone (http://www.simonescribes.com/) who gave me the final push after I did a guest review of MAC’s Matchmaster foundation for her blog!

4. What is your dream job?
A clinical psychologist!

5. Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read?
There are literally hundreds! We’re especially lucky to have a high caliber of Irish blogs but you can view a full list of the blogs I currently follow on my Bloglovin’ profile (http://www.bloglovin.com/makeupovermind)!

6. Your favorite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
I'm far from a skin care expert, but I do love my Clarisonic which I've been using since Christmas! Again, hair isn’t quite my area of expertise, but I’d have to say my Tangle Teezer. Makeupwise….so, so difficult to choose! But if we’re talking about what I could not be without, it would have to be Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and my Real Techniques brushes. I could go on forever though…

7.  If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
Firstly, I think it’s also well worth brainstorming a blog name that captures what your blog is all about!
So much of what you learn is trial and error; so allow yourself time to find your feet! Although it’s fun, it’s also a lot of hard work once you get started and you really need to be self-motivated to grow and develop your own blogging style! But most importantly, start it for the right reasons – a love of your chosen topic!

8.  Can you tell us what is in you handbag?
It’s a bit of a mess currently and having poured out its contents, it contains…
An obscene amount of stationery: 2 notebooks, 5 pens (one bubblegum scented), a mini Sudoku book, record cards, & a 2013 planner; My makeup bag; A nail file; My purse; Tangle Teezer; Glasses case; Nerdy makeup notes from an Estée Lauder event; A Diet Coke invite for the Marc Jacobs event I didn’t get to attend (sad face); Business cards; TWO Indian takeaway menus, and; THREE crazy straws (because you never know…!). Well, you did ask….

9. Where else can we find you apart from your blog?
You can find me at all the links below, but I’m most active on Facebook and Instagram so you’ll find me there most days!

10. Any last words for us?
Thanks for having me Nina and if anyone has any pressing unanswered questions (*doubtful*) feel free to let me know!

You just have to check this girl out she is amazing :) You wont be disappointed :)
Until Next time Make sure your wearing lots of SPF
Lots of Love Luck Sunshine and Laughter

I love love love hearing from you all :) I make it my duty to read each and every one of you comments and every time i get a comment from you it highlights my day thanks so so much to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sharing the Love #3: Interview with Dani aka The Glamour Nazi

Hey my beautifuls How are you all doing today :)
Well its that's time again The Share the Love Interview I have formed for anyone who wants to take part and be involved in Nina's World.
This is a great way for everyone to get to know more about the blogger behind the blog and also get to find new blogs to read.  If you are interested in taking part in my Interview and getting a spot in the next Share the Love post let me know by either emailing me:
dear-nina@hotmail.co.uk
or leaving a comment below with you email address so I can contact you :)
So this week we have the lovely Dani aka The Glamour Nazi
She is Irish and lives in Dublin She is a full time make-up artist.  What I love about this girl is like me she is 100% honest in her reviews she will not hold back and even if a product is not good she still lets us all know :) Anyway I am going to whisht and let Dani take over :)
Hit it Dani

1.  Hey Dani Welcome to my blog :) :) Can you tell us a little about yourself :)
Hi, I'm Dani. I am a fully qualified make up artist from Dublin. I studied in Make Up Forever then went on to do an ITEC certified course in Facial Make Up before getting to do the incredible Pixiwoo make up course in London under the guidance of Samantha and Nicola Chapman. However make up jobs are hard to come by in Dublin as it seems EVERYONE is a make up artist. So this year I took the plunge and went back to college to study my other passion, English  - for secondary school teaching. I'm obsessed with turquoise nails, hot pink lips and makeup hoarding!

2.  Tell us a little about your blog
I started a blog a few years ago but had no camera and was really sporadic with posting. Last summer I decided to put my head down which is when I started the Glamour Nazi. Giving up my hopes of being a makeup artist, I knew the passion wouldn't die so it was a way of keeping it going while starting college. I have been writing novels and stories since I was eleven so it was also an extension of that. I love writing in-depth, honest product reviews whether I like a product or not. I think people deserve to know what to avoid as well as what to buy!

3.  What inspired you to start up your blog
I have a YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/FizzSedition) which I have been filming for for years and I discovered that a lot of YouTubers have accompanying blogs. I started reading some and decided that it was a great way to review products as it isn't possible to film an indepth review video for EVERY product you like. I have become quite disillusioned by the negativity on YouTube and found the blogging world so much friendlier so gave up on my channel a little. I am hoping to get back into filming in September though after I move house.

4.  What is your dream job?
I love writing and believe my dream job would have to be in some way related. I would love to publish some novels and maybe have a really successful beauty website that could be my day job.

5.  Can you share with us some of your favourite blogs to read ?
There are so many blogs that inspire me. I am obsessed with reading them all! I have the BlogLovin' app on my phone and always stay up to date when I'm on the bus. My favourites include Viva Adonis, Not Just Inside, Dancing With Disaster, Make Up Monster, A Pretty Obsession, Fluff and Fripperies, Lovely Girlie Bits, Dolly Rouge... aah the list is endless!  I read so many!

6.  Your favourite skin care, hair care and makeup products?
These change all the time! Currently my favourite skin care product is the La Roche Posay Anthelios. It is a sun screen with SPF50 but is in an oil form. It feels like applying a nourishing serum to your face but you know you're keeping it protected too!

My favourite hair products are from Rich Hair Care. Their DeFrizz and Shine Mist instantly nourishes the ends of your hair and it smells DIVINE.

I left the make up products until the end as I knew they would be hardest! My favourite foundation has to be my Vichy Dermablend which is incredible if you have problem skin like mine. It makes you look flawless. When it comes to eyeshadows, it has got to be Inglot. Their freedom palettes give you the *ahem* freedom to choose your own colours and as somebody who worked for the brand, I can assure you that the quality of every shade is out of this world. Finally, I recently discovered budget brand NYC's Liquid Lipshines. They are super cheap but some of the nicest glosses I have ever worn. I will definitely be collecting all shades!

7   If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is thinking of starting up their own blog what would it be?
Give it your all and SPELLCHECK! Only get into it if you are really passionate about it and enjoy it, not because of some perks you heard it has.

While I love discovering new blogs, nothing upsets me more than ones that are obviously half-assed. If you're doing a product review, tell me EVERYTHING about it. I hate one line reviews "This is a nice pink lipstick". How long does it last? Is it matte or cream? Was it expensive? Did it dry out your lips? Put some effort in and don't just copy and paste celebrity stories from gossip websites!
I know not everyone is good at spelling but simple things like rereading your blog post before publishing will help you spot any mistakes you've made. Spell check doesn't pick up on silly mistakes that rereading will catch! One or two mistakes are perfectly human but a whole blog of errors just looks careless.

8.  Can You tell us what is in you handbag??
My handbag is so boring which is why I have never done the 'what's in my bag' tag! I have my Paul's Boutique studded wallet, keys and a tube of Carmex at all times. Usually I will pop in whatever lip colour I'm wearing that day for top-ups and if I know I will be out all day, I'll bring my Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder to control shine.

9.  Where else apart from your blog can we find you aka twitter facebook etc.
Instagram: @GlamourNazi

Twitter: @GlamourNazi

10  Any last words for us :)
Thank you for having me over here. I love discovering new blogs to read so I think this is a great idea!
So there you have it ladies and gents the beautiful Dani
I hope you visit her sites and sure if you are feeling extra nice hitting those follow and subscribe buttons for her :)
Until the next Share the Love
