Bourjois Cream Blush in Sweet Cherry Review

Hello My beauties How are you all doing today.  You probably noticed I was very quiet this week with my blog posts and I actually feel bad about it but I had to go this week to shop for Back to School as there is only 3 weeks left and all kiddies are in school (already) where did the time go.  I was actually giving out a wee bit as the expense of school is gone crazy.  I remember when I was their age there was a rental scheme and no extra money needed to be educated now there is no such thing and the books are more expensive you cant even sell them on as they are all work book but anyway thats another story :)
Today I have a review on a product I have been using quite a bit the past month and its the Bourjois Cream Blush.
I cam across a few positive reviews about this little pot of joy since their release in May of this year and thought I would give it a go.  Clap clap to Nina for keeping up with the New Release craze yeeeeeeee
I must admit I have never tried Bourjois Little Pots of powder blushes simply because I have enough Powder blushes to start a shop of my own lol plus I never really think of them as they have been out for a while now :)
The cream blush comes literally the same way as the little round pots of powder blushes.  The packaging is actually very cute and small and a very handy little pot to carry in your bag or bring on travel.  The shades of the pots go with the shade of the blush which is always a plus especially if you have more than one cream blush.  On the Lid the number of the blush is huge so you cant get confused either
There are 4 shades of the cream blush to choose from
01 Nude Velvet
02 Healthy Glow
03 Rose Tender
04 Sweet Cherry
To be honest in my eyes each shade is suited for everyone.  I opted for sweet cherry which looked like the darkest out of the 4 just to show you all that they would be suited for everyone :)  Each blush costs €10.49 for 2.5g of product and I got mine from the Online Boots Store  .
Each blush comes with a tiny mirror which is always handy.  As I mentioned I chose Sweet cherry for my shade which is absolutely stunning and I feel in love instantly.  This shade is a beautiful rosy brown shade suitable for anytime of the year.  The shade is build able so you can have just a wash of colour or as strong as you like it :)  I instantly fell in love with this shade as it complimented my complexion very well.  It gave me an instant radiant healthy look.  Its definitely a favourite of mine for the past month.  I even got a few compliments wearing it.  My favourite way to apply this is with a stippling brush but you can apply with your fingers too
The Formula of this blush is amazing.  Its a cream to powder formula which i love in a cream blush.  It doesnt look cakey and it feels very light weight.  What I love mostly about this cream blush is the little effort you need to apply this as I have had cream blushes in my time that have been a nightmare to blend out and apply without looking like a clown.  This little pot of joy is so easy to apply you could do it without a mirror.
I have noticed this blush lasting 8 hours straight without having to be touched up even on the hotest days we have had there was no movement whatsoever which is good enough for my.  I am that pleased with this blush I plan to go back and get the rest of the shades for my collection as I know they will not be wasted.
Here is a photo of me wearing the blush on my cheeks and in fact I wore it on my lips aswell with a little balm over it and it looked stunning :)
Thumbs up to Bourjois for creating yet another amazing product even after 150 years in the making they still to this day manage to pleasantly surprise us with their brilliant creations :)
Have you tried their new cream blushes yet
Until Next time

Dainty Doll Powder & Cream Blushes Review

Hello My Beauties How are you all doing today :)
If you are a regular follower and follow me on facebook you might reconise this photo .  I posted it up of facebook months ago showing a tease of a haul I got from Fragrance Direct website.  They were having an absolutely amazing sale on Dainty Doll Makeup and I really could not pass it.  I know I know I cant believe its taken me this long to start reviewing them but (slaps on the hand) but life just took over in the past month and a half with birthdays kiddies getting off school and of course the fabulous weather we have been having I was just too busy to sit at the laptop.  So forgive me.
If you dont know anything about Dainty Doll let me give you a little low down hoe down to what it is.
Dainty Doll is developed especially to enhance the beauty of fairer skin tones. Created by Nicole Roberts from Girls aloud using the finest quality, skin-loving formulas to help cover, perfect and care for your skin, The Dainty Doll range makes it much easier for those with paler skin tones to achieve the ideal shade every time.
I say fair play to Nicole for finally coming out with this range teaching all pale skinned woman out there that there is no need to hide behind fake tan and dark foundations that you just need to enhance what you have and to flaunt you natural self.  She is a stunner and finally pale skinned woman everywhere can find a match for their skin tone through this range :)
Now I am not the palest skinned out there in fact I am sallow skinned all year round but I am paler in the winter which is why I was interested in trying out this range and not only that my sister is paler than me too and it would be nice to have a little collection of makeup that would suit her or anyone I do makeup for.
So I will start off with 2 Powder blushes and 2 Cream blushes I purchased from this range .
The packaging on both blushes are the very same.  I love how cute the boxes are that come with them.  The vintage styling is amazing of Nicole on the front its brilliant.  On the inside you get you little slim compact containing your blush and inside that you are getting a nice sized mirror for travelling :)
The compact feels expensive its not just you typical black plastic feel its more grippy and sturdy than that and not only that is stain free so if you smug especially with the cream blush you can wipe clean and it looks as good as new.
I have to admit when choosing these blushes I made sure to choose 2 of each and 2 simular shades of each just incase one or the other does not work out for me :)
So starting with the Cream blushes
In the Cream Blush Range there are 3 shades to choose from
I ended up Choosing 001 Paper Roses & 002 Orange County Girl
001 Paper Roses :)
This is a light baby pink shade with tiny tiny shimmers in it.  This blush is more on the cool side than on the warm side.  Its a little too light for my complexion but looks amazing on the more paler skin :)
002 Orange County Girl
This is my favourite out of the 2.  This is more suited for my complexion.  The shade is amazing its a beautiful coral pink shade with gold shimmers.  The shimmer is not over shimmery but leaves a beautiful glow on the cheeks.  So much so that you would not need to add highlight, it does 2 jobs in one how better could that get :)
The cream blushes have impressed me alot I have to admit.  They are highly pigmented and builtable.  They feel cream and smooth and takes very little effort to apply.  They both lasted all day on my cheeks and began to wear off after the 8 hour mark which in my eyes is super dee dooper.  To apply you can easily use your finger which i do recommend as the heat of your fingers will make applying alot easier but you can use a stippling brush too.  The prices of these blushers vary depending on where you get them but i have noticed alot of sites who used to sell Dainty Doll dont sell them anymore.  Amazon are one site who do still sell the range and they are all cut down prices too also If you are in Ireland Cara Pharmacy sell them too :)
If you can get your hands on the cream blushes grab them as they are worth trying out :)
Powder Blushes
The Powder Blushes come in a bigger package 2g bigger in fact.  There are 4 shades available in this range
I chose 002 My Girl and 004 You are my sunshine
The best thing I noticed about these blushes even before getting them in my hands is that there is Vitamin A and E in them and is also rich in antioxidants Bonus :) :)
Another thing you will notice is that the powder blushes are very familiar to the cream blushes in shades in fact they are almost identical
002 My girl
As you can see is a nice baby pink shade This is the exact shade of "Paper Roses" so if you the cream blush you can finish it of with "My Girl"  This blush is alot more pigmented than the cream blush and not at all chalky .  Its soft and cream and lasts all day long.  I did notice there is alot more a glow on my cheeks using the powder blush than the cream blush which is unusual :) but they are both lovely
004 You are my Sunshine
Oh I just love love love this blush.  Its amazing on my skin and is a favourite by far out of the 4 blushes.  Again this is the exact match of "Orange County Girl"  But with a little difference.  There is a little more of a golden sheen in this blush than the cream blush and its a little more pigmented.  Its stunning I love it :)
Here is a picture of all four blushes together the Powder blushes on the left and cream blushes on the right
Over all i am well impressed with both types of blushes.  I am loving the cream ones at the moment in this crazy heat wave because its not melting off my face but the powder blushes are brilliant as they are more pigmented and last until you take your makeup off :)
If you are lucky enough to find these blushes which in Ireland is no Problem as mentioned Cara Pharmacy still stock Dainty Doll and anyone else in the world can buy them from Amazon but im sure if you look you will find them easy.  I have emailed them to ask them are the restocking on the site they used to sell on so I will update you all when I get a reply :)
Until next time

Oriflame Studio Artist Cream Blush in Pink Glow Review

Hey my Beauties How are you all doing today :)
Well now ever since Avon announced they were leaving Ireland forever I have been so disappointed because I have been a fan of Avon for years So has my mum and my grand mum 150+ years is a long time to sell in Ireland and then stop all of a sudden.
Sadly it has happened and we all had to come to terms with it without a choice :( but how i missed the Avon catalogue coming through the letter box every month and how I missed sitting down at night with my munchies and my cuppa and having a good nose through the catalogue It became a tradition and I was actually missing it alot until one day I came home from a walk and seen a catalogue on my door at.  I pick it up and it says all over it ORIFLAME then I saw the name of my rep This got me very interest because it looked so much like The Avon Catalogue.  I ran straight to the laptop to investigate because I never heard of Oriflame before
Basically to cut a long intro as short as possible Oriflame is a swedish company who sell high-quality Natural Skin care and Cosmetic products basically like Avon.  They are around as long as 1967 which I cant believe I havent heard of them been around this long.  Here is some facts from the site themselves to give you more of an insight
• Products based on natural ingredients, never tested on animals
• Over 7500 employees
• 950 new products annually
• Co-founder of World Childhood Foundation
• 5 own production units in Sweden, Poland, China, Russia and India
• Operations in 62 countries of which 13 are franchisees

Well now I just had to try this out to see What it was like.
As you can see by the above photo I was a good girl and didnt go crazy.  Well to be honest the prices are a little more expensive than Avon was and I was been Careful.  So today I am going to review
Oriflame Studio Artist Cream Blush
"Professionally developed lightweight cream blush that sculpts and highlights the cheeks for a healthy, natural glow. Buildable colour blends effortlessly into skin, creating a soft-focus effect. Contains light-reflecting IllumaFlair for a natural and luminous result in any light."
This costs €6.85 for 20mls :)  There are 3 shades available
Soft peach
Pink Glow
Sherry Berry
As you can see the blush comes in a squeezable plastic tube form.  I like that it is clear so you can see the shade of blush you have if you have more than one shade.  The lid screws on and off which is also great as there will be no fear of loosing the lid in your bag.  The writing on the tube seems like it will wear off after a few uses but i dont mind that :) I love that each time you use this you have perfect control of how much product you actually squeeze out instead of wasting alot of the product like some cream blushes I have that have a pump
So the shade I choose is Pink Glow
This shade is absolutely stunning it is a nice rosey pink with gold micro-shimmers in it.  Ladies dont worry the shimmers are not they type to make you look like a disco ball I promise !!!
The consistancy of the blush is actually quite  thick not overly for an affordable blush The following picture I am going to show you is just a simple little squirt and you will tell by the picture the thickness of the blush
Now let me tell you the pigmentation of this blush is actually shocking.  I took a little pea sized dip at this swatch and rubbed it into my arm beside the swatch and  could not believe how much it spread.  Oh my goodness you literally only need less than a pea sized amount for each cheek wowzer even this swatch is waaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much I literally had to waste the most of the swatch.
The picture says it all eh?
I found this blush absolutely amazing to blend.  No patchiness no mess I just dab a bit on my cheeks and even it out with either my BCC F20 flat top kabuki brush or use a beauty blender.  The finish?  A beautiful healthy flushed look with a stunning glow :) I am in love with this blush it looks so natural.  This blush would be suitable for any skin tone because you can build it up to whatever intensity you desire.  Just be careful not to apply too much too quick.  Start with a dab and then reapply if needed.
The lasting power is actually just as good I found it did not start wearing off my cheeks until about 8 hours of wear but in all honesty if you are not hugging children all day it will last until you take it off.  :) :)
I give this blush a sure 9/10 indefinitely.  The cream blush is especially perfect for the summer month where the sun is shinning and catching the micro-shimmers on your cheeks making your cheek bones look boot-i-ful!!!!
As you can see I am wearing the blush lightly and it gives such a beautiful all day flush I love it.
Have you tried this blush yet :) Check out the website for more information and see what else Oriflame have to offer :) keep an eye out for more reviews on the products I got in the first photo :) :)
Until Next Time

MUA Blush Perfection Cream Blusher in Yummy & Blossom

Hello my beauties
How are you all doing today
As you probably have notices i have been a little slow with my blog posts recently.  That was due to personal reasons and I just hadnt got time to be near a laptop to do any.  Everything is slowly getting sorted so I should be up and running in no time.  My apologies and thank you so much for been so patient.
Today I am reviewing more MUA products from my recent Haul.  I have also ordered much more products from MUA in their recent 50% off sale but I think it will take a while before I get my hands on them as there is so many orders they have to go through and even find on the system as their system crashed so many times its was crazy crazy!!! So my order has not even went through yet as i didnt get a confirmation email but I have sent them all the details they need to find it so it should be sorted soon :)
Anyways back to the review
I know I am sort of slow with this newish product as they were realised back in September 2012 but better late than never eh?
I have always wanted to try these since I first saw them I just never got around to buying them until now.
The packaging of these blushes are so cute.  It slim and light weight and perfect for travelling.  The lid is fairly sturdy and you have no fear of it becoming loose in your bag.  There are 4 shades to choose from altogether and each blush contains 3.2g of product for only £2 each an absolutely amazing price.  So I decided to go with 2 shades for now to see what they were like and chose the 2 shades I thought would most likely suit me.  I am glad to say that I am very pleased with both shades as they suit my skin tone perfect.
This is the shade "Yummy":  The main reason i picked this shade was because it looked like the darkest out of the four but looked stunning on the MUA Blog.  It looked like the perfect wintery/natural blush so i had to have it.  This is an absolutely stunning berry pink shade oh girlies if you are looking for the perfect blush that leaves you cheeks looking like you have snow whites cheeks this is the blush to go for.  This would look stunning on anyone with medium to dark skin tones but anyone with fair skin tones can use this very lightly and it will still look fabulous.  I have to say this is my favourite out of the 2 I have :)
wearing Yummy lightly on the cheeks :)
Next up
"Blossom"  This is a more natural pinky shade with a touch of a coral finish.  This shade is beautiful and perfect for Spring/Summer months for for the "no makeup days".  The shade is perfect for anyone with fair to medium skin tone anyone with a darker skin tone will not find any colour pay off im afraid.  I find this is so light it applies sheer at the start but you can build it to a more natural look.  Its stunning for everyday wear.
As you can see it just gives a nice natural look no body would even know your wearing it :)
Please note I normally have no colour on my cheeks without a little blush added :)
Overall I think these blushes are well worth every penny.  They glide on really smoothly.  I like to dot a little on my cheek and blend with my e.l.f Flat Top Brush.  They are so easy to blend and look flawless on the cheeks.  I found they last a good 5 to 6 hours before I notice any fading.  If you set it with a matching blush they will last until you take them off.  I am delighted I have these to my collection now as they give my cheeks a beautiful dewy finish and I am looking forward to wearing these more in the summer :)
These blushes are especially perfect for any of you dry skin sufferers out there too.  Make sure when applying to remember cream to cream powder to powder.  Do not apply these over powder foundations or they will just look messy.  :)
Have you tried these blushes yet?  Which shade would you like to try out
Until next time

NYC Blushable Creme Stick Review

Well hello there my beauties :)
Once upon a time i purchased these NYC Blushable Creme Sticks used them, loved them, adored them and moved on to something else and forgot about them for a while (as you do when you have too much makeup).  I even took them too much for granted that I hadnt even got round to blogging about them because i got so used to having them in my daily routine (as you do again).  But recently I was chatting to a fellow blogger and these particular blushes came into the conversation and I was saying that i must get using them again and get more shades then she hit me with a bombshell ........She told me that they have been discontinued earlier this year :O :O I couldnt believe it.  Thats when i really needed to find out if i could get them or not.  Anywhere I searched had not got them and told me the same thing "We no longer sell them" :(
UNTIL.......I checked up on ebay and what did i find LOTS & LOTS of sellers had them.  They must have stocked up when they heard the news :) I was thrilled and immediately stocked up.  You can also get them on Amazon :)
This is where I decided these little beauties deserved the review I should having given them when i first got them better late than never eh?
Get the glow you'll want to show with NYC New York Color Blushable Crème Stick. It gives a natural flush to your cheeks in one quick step. Soft and creamy colors can be blended to the desired intensity and coverage. This lightweight formula provides sheer, all-over color as well as subtle, shimmering accents, contours and dynamic highlights to your cheeks. Quick, on-the-go and extremely easy to apply
As far as i can remember there was only every 6-8 shades to choose from.  The price range is different depending on where you get them but recently I paid about 14 euro including postage for all 4 shades which works out at only 3.50 euro each brilliant value !!!!!  You are getting 8g of product per tube which is alot and will last you a long long time.
The blush comes in a plastic large sized lipstick type tube (if that makes sense haha)  Its like a lipstick as you screw the bottom to get the blush.
Let me show you the shades :)
Plaza Pink:  This is the very first shade I purchased :) Its a stunning shimmery pinky coral shade .  I loved this around the summer time as the shimmers gave a stunning glow.  If you do not like shimmer in your blushes this is not one for you as it does have fairly visable shimmer.  This is not as pigmented as the rest even though when swatched first it seems like you put too much on but when blended out it gives a nice little tint but it is buildable.  This is a perfect shade for anyone who has fair to medium skin tone.
Next up
South St. Seashell:  Now this is one or should i say was one of the more popular shades as its a stunning.  Its a unusually peachy pink brown shade.  It looks darker in the tube than it is.  I love wearing this on nights out if i have a dark smokey eye it blends in well with a smokey eye or strong lip day :)
Next
Berry New Yorker:  This is a stunning rosey shade and its 100% matte :) This glides on so so cream a little of this goes a long way.  This can be used too with a smokey eye or bright lip.  I think this might be a little dark for anyone with fair skin but anyone with medium to dark skin tone.  I found this blends out brilliantly and its actually quite build-able.
And Lastly
Pink Flash:  I was amazed by this blush in particular its so bright and cheerful :)  This is a stunning baby pink but has tints of coral believe me when i say this shade is oh so wow pigmented and you may be put off my the swatch but when blended out this shade looks stunning on the cheeks plus its matte.  I loved wearing this shade in the summer too .
So why do i like them so much
They are affordable for the amount you are getting in each product you are surely getting more than your moneys worth.
They blend so so easily so they work great for people who are in a hurry in the mornings or are new to makeup.
They work well with either applying with your fingers or stippling brush
They are so so pigmented but a little goes a long way and they are build-able
They do not clog up pores
I found they lasted a good 4 to 5 hours before i noticed any fading and they even make you not so pigment powder blushes last longer if you use these as a base
They are suitable for all skin types
These blushes are an amazing product for a very low drugstore product and I can not believe they have been discontinued.  I am surely going to try and get the other shades and have them in my collection.  These are amazing and hopefully NYC will bring them back.  Have you tried them at all? This is why I have done this review as i believe they deserve it plus its not too late to get them as i have linked two places you can buy them
Heavy swatches in natural light
This picture is of each blush blended and in Natural Sunlight

So thats it for today everyone.  I hope you are all well
Until next time take care
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter
