BH Cosmetics 28 Neutral Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone how are you all doing today :)
Ok i think you can all guess at this stage that i am quite fond of BH Cosmetics :)
I have purchased quite a few palettes from the site now and have been very pleased with them so far.  To this day I still find myself reaching for the palettes if i want to experiment with colours and different looks.  I especially love reaching for these palettes when doing other peoples makeup as its handier and more convenient as well as easier to bring on travel :)  The best thing about these palettes is that they are super super affordable and shipping with BH Cosmetics is quite cheap seeing as they are coming the whole way from America Plus they take good care in wrapping what ever you purchase well so nothing comes to your home damaged.
Anyhuuuuuu!!! Enough Jibber Jabber lol If you want to see any of my other Reviews on any BH Cosmetics Products Click Here for a Selection of my reviews
I have had this palette for quite some time now actually a good few months.  I think everyone including myself love a nice neutral look as a neutral look suits everyone so i was super excited to try this palette in particular as its full of neutral colours.
The packaging is basically the same as all the BH Cometics palette.  A Black Plastic palette with the logo of BH Cosmetics and the name of the actual palette on it.  I Love the as it saves opening all the palettes to get the right one :)
Another great thing about the palette is that it doesn't smudge which means you will not get stubborn finger marks on it that you can not remove :)
In this palette you are getting a mixture of everything.  From mattes, satins and shimmers to cool and warm toned eye shadows.  From light to dark shades.  My first impressions were somewhat 50/50 to be honest as i noticed the palette had alot of light shade that i thought would lack in pigmentation then i noticed alot of the shades looked alot like some Mac Eye shadows.  Now obviously they wouldn't be as pigmented as the Mac eye shadows but they look very very like them :) :)
I have to admit some of the eye shadows are a little on the chalky side and some need a coaxing before showing their true potential but they are all easy to work with.  There is a few shades that you might fine less visible than others on my swatches but they are more for blending and more skin tone shades :) I will go ahead and show you the swatches and talk some more about them
The first row is very light we have 3 matte shades the 2nd, 3rd and 4th shade and the second shade is alot like Mac Nylon eyeshadow the last shade i love this one its a blackened purple with Burgundy shimmer this is a perfect shade for fall/autumn i love it but you will get some fallout from this shade.  I prefer to do my eye makeup before my foundation using this little beauty.
On the 2nd row we have some more lighter shades.  The second shade is alot like Mac Vanilla and the the 5th shade is suppose to be like Mac Cork.  There is only one matte shade in this row and that's the one that suppose to be like "Cork" i find this shade great for blending out harsh lines or just to use as a crease colour :) I think the light pinky shade with gold shimmer is stunning on the lid.
I am sure you have noticed the shades are getting more pigmented :) This is the 3rd row and i love this one.  I especially love the last shade in this row as its a great dupe for Mac's Patina which I Love and adore :)  We also have 2 matte shades on this row the 3rd shade and the 2nd last both colours are great for the crease and blending out and can even be used for the brows :) I also love love love the 3rd last shade its extremely pigmented and a beautiful taupe with gold micro-shimmer going through it :) its stunning on its own or on the lid with a darker brown in the crease.
Again as you can see the shades are more pigmented on the 4th and last row :)  The last shade surprised me alot i was expecting this like any other palette to be a sheer grey but it wasn't at all its a good pigmented black in fact its a great grey/black almost black black and very pigmented but is a little chalky so use with caution.

Final Thought
I found that you will need to wear a primer with these as some of them are chalky and need something to cling onto.  They apply really well and blend beautifully.  Obviously the matte shades were a real tester as matte eye shadows are harder to blend than any other eyeshadow but i found no fault with them.  I was expecting a little more pigmentation in some of the eye shadows but i suppose a little extra packing on is not hard work :)
Anyone who like neutral eyes will love this palette.  Anyone who wants something cheaper without having to touch their expensive brands will enjoy this.  Basically anyone will enjoy it not only for the eye shadows but for the price
normal price this costs $18.95 but now at the moment its on value at $10 now that's a huge bargain not to be missed.
Ok is it the best palette i have got from BH Cosmetics?? No its not the best but its not the worst either :)
Have you tried this palette yet
Until next Time

Catrice New Defining Blush in Rose Royce and Think Pink Review

Hey my beauties how are you all doing today :)
Wow the sun is shining today again I love it I love Autumn.
Today I am reviewing A new range of blush that Catrice Cosmetics only released in September along with other new permanent products to their collection.  I was excited about the blushes in particular as I was fond of the older "Duo Defining Blushes" especially in shade "Pink Grapefruit Shake" which had half blush half highlighter.  I still to this day find myself reaching for it alot.  I was dissappointed when Catrice decided to discontinue them :(
Here is a picture of the old Duo Defining Blush if you do come across it grab it as it is beautiful
So instead of getting rid of the blushes altogether Catrice decided to just get rid of the Duo and make it 1 :) To be honest i prefer that as i found i was using the blush more than the highlight anyway
Catrice release 5 new blushes altogether.  So far i got 2 of the 5 .  You are getting 5g of blush for about 4 euro which is brilliant as these will last a while.  The packaging is plain and simple but sturdy, I like that!!! Not only that but you can depot these easily into your own empty palette :)
According to Catrice:  The ultra-fine, highly-pigmented powder blush with vitamin C and E spreads easily, sets fresh accents, emphasizes your cheekbones and models the contours of your face. Top marks for a perfect finish.
First up is 020 Rose Royce :)  This shade is a perfect shade for anyone who has fair to medium skintone.  What i love is the name Rose Royce lol how do they do it :)
This is a really pretty nuetral pink.  A perfect blush for every day use.  I find this nice to give me just a nice natural pretty healthy flush.  It can be a little sheer on me and i have to build it up but it is buildable.
Next up
040 Think Pink:  This is my favourite out of the 2 so far :)  you can even tell just by looking at it that its going to be pigmented.  This is a beautiful bright pink with a little orange undertone to it. Oh this is really really pigmented ok its a little powdery when swatched but nothing too crazy and you dont loose alot of product.  This is perfect for any skintone and gives a fantastic flush of colour to your cheeks I even see myself wearing this alot in the winter :)
I am super excited about these blushes.  I think they are even better in pigmentation than the Duo Blushes they used to do.  They are easy to apply.  They a silk smooth and feel amazing on the skin.  They last a good part of the day you will get at least 6 hours out of them before you notice a little fading.  I notice i get a beautiful natural glow from these especially from Think Pink.  I highly recommend these to anyone as they are super affordable and well worth every cent.
Here i am wearing a light sweep of "Think Pink"
Believe me when i tell you ladies i have no natural flush on my cheeks unfortunately :( I wasnt blessed with it.
Have you tried any of Catrice's Blushes?
Until next time

Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Eye Pencil Set Review

Hey my beautifuls :) how are you all doing today?
The sun is actually shining here yeahhhhhh
Today I am reviewing the Urban Decay Naked 24/7 Eye Pencil Set.  A set i have actually had for quite a few months.  I purchased this off Brands Direct an online store who sells Mac, Bobbi Brown etc cosmetics and even handbags scarves the lot.  They are very cheap and 100% genuine.  To see what i am talking about check out their facebook page as they are having a clear out at the moment at really cheap prices and they are getting lots of new stock in EXCITING!!!!
Unfortunately this Travel Sized Set is only a Limited Edition but i thought this review would be handy for all of you who are thinking of buying the Liners full sized as the shades are from the permanent range :) :)
So this is my first time ever trying out Urban Decay eyeliners and i thought this travel set was such great value and a great chance to try them out and see what all the hype was about :)
What i love about this set in particular is that they are all neutral shades so i knew for a fact i would use all the colours in the set :)  The set cost me 25 euro and the travel sized liners are actually quite a good size as you can see so they will last me for some time.  They are actually as good as full sized because the full sized pencils are 0.04oz and the travel sized is 0.03 oz so if that's not a bargain i do not know what it :) :)
So on with the shades :) :)
ZERO:  This is a very very popular shade and you can imagine my excitement getting this little beauty.  This shade is a dark black but there is seeminly even darker shade from Urban Decay called "Perversion" in which i have just ordered fro Brands Direct so watch out for the review ;) But this black is quite dark and very pigment one little touch of this liner on the eye and bam instant pigmentation i love it :)
Next up
DEMOLITION:  Now dont say it yet !!! (this is just a brown) no no this isnt just a brown I love this :)   Its a Dark Matte Brown and PERRRRFECT for those days you do not want to wear a harsh black liner in your waterline.  Its very hard to find a brown near black but not black eyeliner that you will love and adore but Ladies and Gentlemen i love this one and it stays put all day long :)
Next
BOURBON:  I was actually surprised by this shade as the first 2 shades are matte this one turned out to be shimmery :) but a nice shimmer :)
This is a medium brown with gold shimmer and i love it :)  I actually love to wear this on its own just a bit of primer on the lid and a nice thick line on the top and lover lash line and this makes my hazel eyes stand out so so much :) I have even went to smudging this baby all ove the lid for a quick but gorgeous look :)
& Next up is
UNDERGROUND:  This is a lovely taupe shade with a satin finish a little different and a nice bit more noticeable than the rest :)  This has become a favourite of mine as its yet another really pretty shade to wear on its own and its so pretty all over the lid.  This is another shade that makes my hazel eyes pop i wear this all over the lid with the darker shade on the outter V, a bit of liner and off you go :)
and lastly
STRAY DOG:  Oh I love this shade :) This is another beautiful shade a shimmery taupe that gives a satin finish :) This gives more of a cooler finish that Underground as underground is warmer.
Picture taken in sun light
Picture taken in normal light
I'm in love with these eyeliners i have to admit they are amazing.  I was quite shocked with how easy these are to work with.  They are so so creamy soft yet not too soft that they smudge everywhere.  They are even so gentle on the waterline even the shimmery ones.  I found the shimmery ones especially very gentle and non irritating on the eyes and i do suffer sometimes with sensitive eyes.  They don't pull at the eye while applying or drag.  I am sure there are dupes for some of these liners I will surely be keeping an eye out for them :) and of course letting you all know because to be honest i find the price of one of these extremely pricey too pricey for my purse anyway but these are amazing amazing amazing.
There is so many shades to choose from too which is another up for these eyeliners :)  Overall i am so happy to have these in my collection i have not one fault (well maybe one......the price) in fact i got another deal for 4 more of these eyeliners from brands direct that i just couldn't pass up so expect some more swatches in the future of them :)
So have you tried the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners?  What shades have you got?  What do you think of them?

Until next time

Catrice Prime and Fine Illuminating Base + Highlighting Powder Review

Hey my beauties :) :) I hope you are all well :)
Today i have a 2 in 1 review for you :)
I am reviewing Catrice Cosmetic's Newest releases in their Prime and Fine collection.  The reason i call is a collection is because they now have 4 items in the Prime and Fine category.  I now own 3/4 of their products  in which i have already reviewed one of them.  That was the Catrice Prime and Fine Smoothing Refiner Primer .  I was so impressed with the smoothing refiner primer that i didnt even think twice about purchasing these 2 new products :)
So the first product as you can see by the photo is the Prime and Fine Illuminating Base.
Catrice states The moisturizing formula provides the perfect base for all kinds of make-up. Light-reflecting pearl shimmer pigments cover-up skin irregularities, pores and fine lines. And make a visible difference.
The packaging is a simple squeezable black tube with a skinny disposable nozel which i find brilliant as it hygienic and you have alot of control of how much product come out of the tube.   Top marks on that one :) :)
You are getting 20ml of product for 5.49 euro but price may vary depending on what country you are from
Ok on this one i have to mention the scent......Its a very unusual scent.....it is a little cosmetic-y with a tint of sweetness.  I am not really great at describing scents but to be honest its not a scent i would like.  Simple fixture of this is not to put it around my nose area :) :)
The consistancy of this is not thick but not watery either which leave applying so darn easy.
Ok Ok enough about the whole description and more on the performance.
To be honest I didnt find a great difference with this product.  It gives a tiny tiny bit of a glow especially if you apply it after your foundation but not before!! It soaks into the skin very well but i found no difference in wearing my foundation with or without this on.  I found more of a difference with the Catrice Prime and Fine Refiner Primer which i love and will definitely repurchase.
So over all this is a no no for me Sorry Catrice :O
Next up is the Prime and Fine Highlighting Powder :)  Sorry about the photo the packaging looks like it had its worst for wear but to be honest it was like this when i picked it up at the shop.  It was the last one left so i just grabbed it besides its only a couple of scratches and i dont mind that.
As you can see the packaging is basically the same idea as before black plastic square compact with silver writing on it :)
You ger 11g of prduct for the total of 4.99 euro which is a good price for the amount of product you are getting
When you look at the product you barely see any shimmer that it says it has what you see is a very pale pinkish shade with teeny tine micro-shimmers.  To touch the powder feels silky and smooth :)
This is an amazing highlight for everyday wear the pinkish tone does not even show up on the face what you do get is a lovely goldish glow.  In the sunlight this looks amazing.  You can also be reassured that you will not over do it with this powder as its very light to apply.
Depending on how much of a glow you desire you can build it up to whatever strength you like.
I think this is the lighest highlighter i do have so i am happy to have this in my collection for everyday wear but if you are looking for a good strong highlight effect from this product i think you would be wasting your money.
I love this and will repurchase for everyday wear in the future

Well that is my review for today.  Have you tried with one of these yet?
Whats your views on them
Until next time Take care

NYX HD Studio Foundation - Sand Beige Review

Hey My Beauties How are you all?
Well Lately I have been trying out a few different foundations as i feel thats the hardest product to choose.  I think everyone out there has and still does have problems in find that perfect foundation, either that or will find the perfect foundation but not the perfect shade blah blah blah you know what i am talking about :)
This NYX HD Foundation has been on my wish list for god only know how long actually since i first seen Dyna's Random Blog review to be honest as she loves this foundation and always hypes about it and to be honest seeing her photos all the time confirms that its a good foundation.  Of course everyone is different and i just had to try this out for myself
So i finally took the crunch when Beauty Emporium a brilliant Irish (posts internationally) site was doing an offer on the NYX Foundation i think i got 20% off at the time so i grabbed that deal with great delight :) :)
The normal price of this foundation is roughly from around 15-18 euro and about $15 for a 1.26oz of product but it does all depend on where you get it from.  To all you Irish gals out there I am afraid this foundation is not for sale in stores in Ireland but can easily be bought from Beauty Emporium website or any online store who sells NYX products.
Ok so the packaging is pretty straight forward.  The tube is plastic but sturdy.  It comes with a good pump which dispenses just enough product to do your entire face.
What i find harder about buying foundation online is trying to choose the right shade and I think maybe that is why i took so long to get it.  Dyna's is roughly the same skin tone as me so with the help of her blog post and advice about the foundation i chose the shade "Sand Beige" Dyna says that shade is a little on the light side for her and she used two different shades and mixes them to make up her own preferred shade.
I have to admit "Sand Beige" is a tad bit light on me at the moment but i am happy with that because i can easily darken it with a little bronzer its better too light than too dark.  I do have a feeling the shade Medium could be a good match and i do plan on buying it soon so i will let you know :)
"Sand Beige" is definitely suitable for someone with a medium skintone with warm undertones.
As you can see by the swatch and the blended swatch its a very close match but i do find this pales me out a little but i love how its the closes match i have even gotten from a foundation...It really is.
The consistency of this foundation is light, its not thick but not watery.  I do find one pump of this does my whole face and it gives me a light to medium coverage.  The best thing about this foundation is that its buildable so you will end up having medium coverage in which i love.  I also love the finish you get from its.  You get a semi matte finish which i have never gotten either from any foundation i have used in the past and i have to say it looks amazing.
This foundation lasts all day long and i mean even without topping up with a compact HAPPY DAYS!!!! If you are oily i would say this will need a little compact work near the end of the day if you are wearing it from morning to night.
There is a light scent from this, the only way i can describe it is that its like lightly scented baby wipes.  I love the scent to be honest is sort of a fresh scent.
So I decided again to show you a before and after picture and let you decided how it looks on me :) To me I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION and the fact it photographs amazingly.  It looks so natural.
I highly recommend this foundation to everyone especially to those who like to take photos on a regular basis.  This doesnt wash you out at all and looks pretty darn good.  This is definitely on my favourite list.  Its also a pleasure to apply.
Have you tried this foundation yet?  What do you think of it?
Until next time
