Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

Hello My beauties I hope you are well :)
As you may have noticed I am way behind been in the land of Saop & Glory aka I have never tried anything from this brand EVER !!!! I know I know I am so bad :)  I tell you the reason.  To be honest when Soap & Glory first came out I was put off their products by their very strong sweet scent.  Anything like that gives me headache and I vowed I would never buy anything from this brand because of that :)  That was until I read alot of blog posts since then and realise since the brand is out longer their product have expanded and so has their different scents :)   Its taken me about 4 years to finally try out their products and I can safely say I take back what I said.  They have a much milder not so overly sweet scented products :)  I have already tried Soap & Glory's Deep Purifying Hot Cloth Cleanser and really liked it.   So Christmas just gone I received a beautiful christmas gift which gave me the chance to try out a number of Soap & Glory products :) take a look at this beautiful box of goodies :)

To be honest my skin has been very very dry throughout the winter.  I have found that exfoliating my skin with my usual exfoliator has cause more drying out to my skin than normal.  Dont even get me started on my legs GIRLS seriously its embarrassing just how flaky my legs are after each shower or bath.  I even reduced my exfoliating days to see will that make a different but its been too harsh.  So I have been on the look out for a product that exfoliates my skin but in the gentlest way possible.  I havent had the best of luck finding one that was until I started using this Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub :)

Soap & Glory’s cult-classic Sugar Crush Body fuses freshly-squeezed sweet lime, sparkling lemons, sweet vanilla musk and almond oil, with sea salt, smashed brown sugar, glycerin and macadamia oils to leave your skin feeling smooth, supple, and sexy. Miraculous on dry legs, elbows (really – all over), it’s energizing, exhilarating, amazing!

The tube is very big.  You are getting 300mls and its filled to the very top :)  You will be paying €11.29 for this which I think is a pretty great deal.  At the moment Boots is doing a 3 for 2 deal on Soap & Glory so Its the best time to grab this and try it out for yourself.

I love the packaging.  Its very girly and cute :)  The moment you set eyes on it you want a whole collection of Soap & Glory products to fill up the bathroom :) :) You might not impressed the other half by doing it but hey "What a girl wants What a girl needs What ever us happy will set the men free" :) :) ;) Right?!

Oh lordy The moment I opened this tube of gorgeousness I fell in love with the scent.  I mean the moment you open this you are hit in the face with this beautiful fuity zesty lime scent that you immediately want to jump into the shower and spend hours in there :) :)
While using this beauty in the shower the scent will put you in the mind of a sunning warm day waling through a garden full of beautiful flowers (mmmm smiling while I type this)  until you open your eyes and realise you are hearing the hail stone thumping against the window lol

Looking inside the package the scrub would remind you of squashed kiwis :)  The consistency at first is very very thick and gloopy.  Once spread on your skin and contact with water it immediately dissolves making it easier to spread all over the body.  While you gentle rub in circular motions you will feel the sea salt and brown sugar working its magic gently on your skin.  You will also notice the scrub turning into a milky substance.  What I love while rinsing this beauty of is that the Sea Salt and Brown Sugar quick rinses off your body which with other scrubs can be a pain to get off straight away.  I find with some defoliators you have to use a separate body wash to wash away the bits :)  This is a dream to wash off :)

My skin feels extremely soft and moisturised after use :)  The Macadamia oil which is infused in the scrub works its magic by moisturising your skin while you wash.  Sometimes I feel I dont even feel I have to moisturise when I come straight out of the shower depending on how dry my skin feels but I always moisturise after any shower no matter what as its a need on my case unfortunately.  Even though there is Macadamia and almond oil in this scrub it doesnt feel too oily on the skin while you are washing and the best thing about that is less mess in your shower!!!

If you have sensitive skin you are best of using this when your skin is wet but if you do not suffer sensitive skin and want the best exfoliating experience from this use directly on dry skin and then rinse :)  I tend to use this on my legs before I jump into the shower as my legs are the worst and I have to say its amazing :)  The scent has to be my favour thing about this product to be honest its just amazing :) :)
If you havent tried this yet I highly recommend it you will want to use it every single day :) :)
Have you tried this Sugar Crush Body Scrub yet ???
Are you a fan of Soap & Glory ??  Have you any Soap & Glory recommendations?
I think I have already become a new fan even after using this :) :) I cant wait to show you what else I got in the box of goodies :) :)  You wont be waiting long I promise :) :)

Until next time

Makeup Revolution Medium Matte Bronzer

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
I finally dragged myself away from my usual daytime bronzer that I absolutely adore and to be honest neglected any other bronzer that I own because of it :)  If you are a regular reader you will know that I religiously use my Blank Canvas Cosmetics 6 pan Palette because its the bomb and literally the most amazing product ever.
I have to admit I have had this bronzer for quite some time and finally got using it for the past week :) Thanks to watching Dyna's Videos I couldn't resist and wanted to try this for myself

There is 3 different types of bronzers from this range
The first one which is Light has shimmer in it
The 2nd of course is Medium and is matte
The third is called Bronzed and I am nearly sure is matte as well :)
I really wanted to go for light but I am not a fan of shimmery bronzers and Bronzed looked too dark so I opted for Medium :)
Each bronzer only costs £2.00 which is very good for what you are getting :)
First of all let me show you the packaging which I think is so handy and very different :)

Its genius :)  I love how instead of lifting the lid off the bronzer which sometimes can break especially with affordable bronzers.  You click the side of it (1st picture) then twist it open :) :)
I Personally think this is even better as the bronzer is well protected and wont break too easy if it falls to the ground :)
When you turn over the packaging you will see a nice sized mirror.  Also in the back when you open the bronzer you will find a little slot with a a sponge :)  To be honest that a sponge with a bronzer is a little unusual.

When I first swatched this bronzer I thought "oh oh this this going to make me look like an oompa loompa" but I guarantee the swatch is alot stronger than it looks when used with a brush :) :)  The shade of this bronzer is more of a warm toned shade which is a little different to my normal bronzer which is cool toned.

I have been testing this alot and to be honest I am a contour addict.  When I do my makeup I cant not contour!!! Fact !!!  I have found however that this bronzer if used all over my face makes me look a little too orange but I love using this to contour my cheek bones :)  I love the effect and find it gives me a natural contoured look :)  When used with a light hand you can build the intensity you desire :)  For anyone with fair skin I highly recommend using a light hand.
The bronzer itself is nicely compacted and is not one bit chalky.  The powder feels soft to the skin and blend easily :) :)  Its very pigmented so a little goes a long way :)
Here is a photo of what it looks likes when used to contour my cheek bones :)

Overall I think its great value for money and for anyone who wants a nice natural golden bronzed look this bronzer is for you.  It has not dragged me away from my normal bronzer which I use all over my face but once summer hits and my skin is a little more tanned I will surely be reaching for this beauty alot more :)

Have you tried this bronzer yet?
Whats your thoughts on it?
Until next time

You know you are a Beauty Blogger when..........

Hello My Beauties :)
I have often seen this type of blog post going round while I catch up on my favourite blogs :) :)
I have to say I really enjoy them and literally find myself nodding to every last one of them.  So I figured it was about time I posted one up for myself, after all I am nearly 4 years blogging and found blogging has changed me and my way of thinking and how I live my life (of course for the better ;)

So from my own experiences and from my own habits I am going to tell you How I and the people around me can tell that I am a beauty blogger :)
Starting with weather :

You know your a beauty blogger when................

  • You have 3 to 4 different weather apps on your phone so you can check if the sun is going to be shining the next day
  • You know exactly what time the sun is going to be shining in each window through out the day.
  • You are sitting at home blogging or out shopping suddenly the sun decides to shine so you drop all run to get your camera phone and products and race outside before the sun goes back in behind the clouds.
  • Spring and Summer become your favourite months of the year because the sun shine continuously and you get the best pictures ever
  • You would even find you drag yourself out of bed at 6 am in the morning to see the sun rising and get you products ready for photos straight away.
  • I found been a mum I have kids up and out to school, housework done all by 9.30 am just so I get my photos and swatches done :)

Social Media & Online shopping !!!!

  • You know are a part of every social media site out there
  • The first thing you do in the morning is check your emails, social media sites or any notifications you may have.  You do this check about 4 or 5 times a day
  • Your youtube subscriptions are full of your favourite beauty gurus and your become obsessed with watching their videos every single day
  • Your family may actually tell you that you are neglecting them as you car constantly on your phone, tab laptop !!!! a little more than you should
  • You become obsessed with online shopping a little more than you would like.  The moment you see something new on their social media sites YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • You jump out of your skin when your favourite makeup brand announces that they have now got an online store :)
  • You are constantly going onto your favourite online stores,  FILLING UP THE BASKET OF WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY BUT THEN X OUT BEFORE CLICKING THE CHECKOUT BUTTON A GIRL CAN DREAM EH?
  • You literally can not go through a day without taking pictures for Instagram be it food, makeup or even taking a selfies to show your Face Of The Day :)
  • You become a stalker....... Obsessing over your favourite blogger/youtubers social media pages :)

Wishlists & Shopping

  • You find you have a wishlist as long as the river nile and promise yourself with all your power that you will have everything ticked of that list or SO HELP ME GOD!!!!!!!
  • You have finally got the cash to splash out on one particular product that has been on your wishlist for some time only to realise its either all sold out or not available anymore NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
  • You finally got the email you have been waiting for:  The product you have heard is been released is finally available to buy.  You race to the next available store to buy it only its out of stock

  • You are out shopping with your loved one and suddenly see there is new makeup stand there.  You spend about a half hour swatching only to realise you have most of the products in your basket.  You turn around to see your loved ones face which is not happy and you just gotta use those eyes to get what you want :) :) Always works !!!!!!

  • You go into Boots to get one item only to notice there is a 3 for 2 offer going on and you walk out with a bag full of products GUILTY EVERYTIME!!!!!!!!

  • You turn your children against any pharmacy, department store and of course Boots because everytime you pass it you just have to go in there for "a second" only to look at your watch and notice you have been in there for a half hour.  OOOPPPPS :)
  • You have now got the excuse that you need every shade of every product when questioned by a loved one "Do you not have that one at home already" "yes I do but not this shade and really need to get it for my blog"
  • Someone decides to talk about makeup or beauty products to you when you meet them and its like music to your ears as most of your closest family has no interest and you cant understand why.  So when someone decides to ask you a question you literally want to tie them to the chair and keep them there forever hahahaha ok
  • You absolutely love Beauty Blogger Meetups after all you are surrounded by lots and lots of people who have the same interest as you its amazing and I try to go to every last one :)

  • Swatching is a big thing in your life and maybe a little too much as you walk around with swatch stains on one arm which is something you are well used to but when you are suddenly questioned my someone "What happened to your arm" with a concerned face.  You need to get the exfoliator out
  • The postman becomes your best friend :) :)
  • You so excited that a parcel has come in the door, you rip the box open, look in awwww at the products and cant wait for the sun to shine so you can take pictures of them before you swatch them :)
  • You have a certain box in your room full of products that has to be pictured, swatched and tried :)
  • When you have about 30 + lipsticks in your collection and you little woman gets a hold of one of these lipsticks and decides the wall could do with some colour.  Its suddenly your favourite lipstick and you start going through every emotion you can think of.

  • You spend hours putting on makeup, dressing up and doing your hair in preparation of making a video (even though usually your bottom half is pyjamas) or taking pictures of you wearing products
  • Your book collection is replaced with makeup palette collections...... Honest I got rid of the books from my shelf and placed my palettes there instead :) :)
  • You tend to take about 100 photos of the one object just to get the right one :)
  • You literally fall to the floor throwing a tantrum because you have just broke either you laptop or camera.  Its true I have broke both and the first time I fell to my knees crying the 2nd time was a little something like this...... lol

So there you have it some of the pointers of how you know when your a blogger :)
I really hope you enjoyed this post and let me know your points :) :)
Until Next Time

Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick Review and Swatches :)

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
As you can see I have another Makeup Revolution review for you all but I know you all enjoy them and are excited to see and hear my reviews on their products which I want to thank you all for your feedback :)  I love hearing from you all :)

I decided to bite the bullet and order 4 shades of lipstick from Makeup Revolutions Amazing lipstick range :)  To be honest there are that many shades to choose from you couldn't possibly only order the one.  With over 30 shades to choose from ranging from nudes to pinks to red both creamy and matte for only £1 each you just have to indulge right?!!

Starting with the packaging of course it reminds me alot of the MUA lipstick packaging (Take a look here) .  As you can see the lipstick has a see through block at the bottom which is handy for us to make out what shade the lipstick is without having to open the caps :)
What I love about these lipsticks compared to MUA's lipsticks is that A)  each one has a name instead of a number B)  The lid on these lipsticks are sturdier :)
I decided to order 2 creamy and 2 matte lipstick to see which formula works for me and what the formula between the two is like
Starting with the Creamy Lipsticks

Flashing:  This is a very very creamy blue-toned pink.  This lipstick is very moisturising and very comfortable to wear on the lips.  Its perfect for a spring summer lip I love it :)

Dusty:  A nice neutral dusty rose shade.  This is a MLBB lipstick.  Again Dusty is very creamy and pigmented.  It gives a slight metallic finish which some people might not like but to me it makes your lips look a little bigger :)

The Mattes

Beloved:  This is another MLBB lipstick a coral pinky shade.  This I found not so pigmented as I had to swatch a few times on my lips before I saw any colour pay off.

The One:  I really thought that this might be a perfect nude for me but I was wrong :(  Its very pale for me so if you have pale skin do not go for this one.

To be honest I prefer the formula of the creamy lipsticks rather than the Mattes.  I feel the mattes are alot harder to apply and drag on my lips when applying.  I feel the mattes do not last long either which is unusual for matte lipsticks as they normally are made to last longer.  The creamy lipsticks feel amazing on the lips and I would buy more of them for the summer time especially when you need that extra moisture :)      Paying £1 for these lipstick I cant really say anything bad about these they add colour to your lips, they add a little moisture and fade away nicely.  I found they last about 1-2 hours at the most which is almost the same time affordable lipsticks last.  The only ones I would not buy again from this range are the mattes.

Have you tried these lipsticks yet?  Keep an eye out for more lipstick swatches from this brand soon :)
Until next time

Makeup Revolution The ONE Foundation Review

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
This is going to be a somewhat different review today :)
You all know at this stage that I have tried alot of Makeup Revolutions product and loved each and every last one of them but of course they can not be all that perfect can they?  I mean they are a new brand that has hit it off with all of us beauty addicts straight away :)  Of course there has to be some products that we may not like with any brand but to be honest up until now Makeup Revolution hasnt disappointed me at all
I am sure you may have guessed it my now that this is the product that has disappointed me.
Now this has in no way put me off the brand as I will continue to purchase anything new from them they are amazing and I cant take that away from them :)
Of course Makeup Revolution takes their customers feedback seriously and I know that they would want to hear everyone honest opinions .
I have been asked on a number of occasions have I tried the foundation by makeup revolution yet so I thought I may as well tell you all at once what I think :)
So let me tell you a little about it first :)

Makeup Revolution state:  This will be Your ONE Foundation. ONE shade for everyone Using Revolutionary fusion technology The ONE Foundation adapts to your skin tone and texture to give a flawless finish. Due to its liquid formula, it is Easily build-able and applied The ONE Foundation gives full coverage resulting in a matte finish. Available in 16 shades to suit every skin tones.

The foundation costs £4 each.  The packaging is alot different to any normal foundation I have used.  In fact the packaging looks alot like the Macs Face and Body foundation :)

The bottle is alot smaller than Macs F&B though as you will see below

The bottle has a twist lid and a nozzle with a a tiny peep hole on top.  The peep hole would remind you of a bottle of ear drops or eye drops.
It says on the box that you should shake the bottle before using the foundation so that is what I did.  I shook vigorously and then applied a drop to the back of my hand.  I was very surprised to see a very watery.  I was puzzled as it says that this foundation is full coverage which means it should be thicker.  This foundation was so watery I found even if I tilted my hand a tiny bit it ran everywhere.  The picture below shows how fast it runs and this is within about 3 seconds

Putting aside the watery consistancy I gave it the benefit of the doubt and applied a layer on my face.  First of all the shade was so wrong for me as it was more on the orange side than neutral or yellow which is what I normally go for.  The shade I chose was shade 5 which I thought might be close.  Putting aside the wrong shade I wanted to see what the coverage was like and after 1 layer I can safely say I covered nothing for me.  I have freckles, pigmentation, a mole and large pores on my face and it covered none of this.
So once the 1st layer set I applied another and the ame thing happened my freckles and pigmentation peeped through but there was a little more coverage there it was more light to medium.
here is an example of the pigmentation on my arm.

To see if the coverage would build up any more I tried a 3rd layer and Even though there was 3 layers on my face it only gave the most.....medium coverage.  I wasnt prepared to apply another layer to be honest as 3 was way to much as it was and I was looking more and more like one of mr wonka's oomp loompa lol
I have tried every different way to apply this to my face be it with my hands, a flat topped kabuki brush, a sponge etc and I get the same coverage each time.
So as you can tell this is not a foundation I will be repurchasing.  I think this foundation might suit someone who does not want much coverage.  I think this could pass as a tinted moisturiser for people with oily skin
Its a real pity that this didnt work out for me.  Did you try this yet?  What's you thoughts on it :)
Until next time

Makeup Revolution "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" Salvation Palette

Hello beauties How are you all :) :)
I should really slap myself on the wrists at this stage because I did it again :)
I have been using a product for a good while now and have not told you all about it !!
Yes I know tut tut once again
Today I am reviewing another palette that I own from by Makeup Revolution and to be honest have this about 5 months :) and still to this day I reach out to use it :)
You may remember me reviewing a palette like this called "What you waiting for" and I love it :) :) Well I am loving this palette just as much :)
I love these salvation palettes as they are a mixture of shimmer and matte eyeshadows and every handy if you are doing your makeup in a hurry or going travelling :)
There is 18 eye shadows altogether and each palette costs only £6

I love the packaging as it a nice size to fit in your handbag or travelling bag.  When you open the packaging thats where the magic begins :)
You will see a full sized mirror before you and the perfect put together affordable palette you will ever see :)

I love how this palette is put together.  On the left is 6 neutral shades that are perfect for daytime looks and on the right you have shades perfect for night-time looks or for a simple pop of colour :)

Starting with the top row
Pleasure Dome:  This is a lovely shimmery champagne with a yellow undertone :)  I adore this shade for highlighting or worn all over the lid for that bright eyed look :) be careful using this as its highly pigmented

Xanadu:  Another highlight only a little softer.  This is a beautiful peachy champagne shade This shade has beautiful golden finish

Moving On:  A stunning shimmery bronze very pigmented and one of my favourite shades :)

Using my power:  I adore this shade.  A beautiful electric shimmer blue that gives a beautiful metallic finish.  A very pigmented shade with silver shimmers :)

You really cant afford me:  I am in love with this next shade its so beautiful.  A deep shimmery blackened forest green hugely pigmented and perfect to wear on a night out :)

Even when you reach the top:  Another beautiful deep shade this time a favourite colour of mine.  A Blackened deep purple with golden shimmers :)  another very pigmented shade :)

Now for the 2nd row :)

Where lovers roam:  A deep bronzed brown.  A Very pigmented shade any neutral girl with love this :)

Jungle Call:  Another bronzed brown something like Where lovers roam.  This has more of a purple hint to it :)

Moving a million miles an hour:  A very pigmented very deep coppery gold shade :)  Very little goes a long way :)

Sell it by the hour:   A deep cool bright teal shadow.  This shade is a perfect pop of colour :)  Hugely pigmented :)

Shooting Stars never stop:  A Deep Shimmery gold  :) and very pigmented

There goes a supernova:  Another fabulous colour :)  A deep shimmery emerald green :)  another very pigmented shade :) :)

These swatches were made with no primer underneath :) :)

Now for the mattes :)

What a push over:  This is you simple matte cream shade perfect for highlighting under the brow or to use as a blending shade :)

Long way from Home:  A nice medium brown again can be used for blending but for people with more paler skin this could be a little too dark for blending.  I mix "Long way from home" and "What a push over" and use that as a blending out shade its perfect :)

Diamond by the hour:  A Dark chocolate brown to use as a transition colour or on the outer V for a daytime smokey look.
Love her body:  A deep mauve shade

I can do it:  A deep greyish brown with a tint on green

Never doing what i am told:  A deep almost black shade I say almost as its not the darkest black I have worked with.  This shade is very pigmented and can be a tad chalky so you may experience a little fall out with it

As you can tell I love this palette and think its very idea and very handy to have in your collection.  Each one of these shades will suit every skintone.  I love how pigmented every last shade is and how easy the eye shadows blend even the mattes :)

I created a look using the shades "Moving on" all over the lid,  "Jungle Call" on the outer 3rd of the lid,  a mixture of "What a push over & Diamond by the shower" and used this for blending,  I used "Moving at a million miles per hour" in the crease and "Never doing as I'm Told" on the outer V.  Lastly I used "Pleasure Dome" on my tear ducts :)

Have you tried this palette yet?
I hope you enjoyed my review
Until next time
