Powderpocket Box May 2014

Hello My beauties 

Its that time again :) :) Its the May Powderpocket Box 

Boy oh Boy did I get excited with this months theme.  This edition is called the "Sweet Treat Edition" and to be honest who doesnt like a bit of sweetness in their lives :) :) 

Of course with pastel colours been a huge trend this season Powderpocket treated us with a lovely bright blue box compared to their usual black box.  I know for a fact I will put this box to good use :) :) I love it 

As always we got a nice mini magazine which contains all the information we want about the products we got in our box.  Plus what I loved about this months magazine is that they shared some of our tweets which goes to show they read everything we have to say about them :) :) Check it out is one of these tweets yours ?

Ok now onto the box and its contents :) :) 

First up is 

Great Lengths Daily Moisture Shampoo - Full Sized bottle costs €17.00 for 250mls - We got a 50mls sample - I am sure alot of you have heard of Great Lengths as I have seen so many amazing reviews on their extensions.  Now I do not have extensions but I do have dried damaged hair and if this does what it says it does well I am looking forward to seeing the results it promises.  The Promises?  Daily Moisture can be used on all hair types as it’s extremely gentle. It will help to clear away dry ends and also balance the scalp environment. Daily Moisture contains Aloe Vera, this helps to leave the hair feeling silky and manageable. Active ingredient GSP-T will protect hair against environmental damage and premature aging. Any damage caused to the outer cuticle will be repaired by our Aquarich ingredient, this will also help increase volume and give hair maximum shine while reducing static.

In all honesty I am hoping its as good as it says for that price :) :) 

Nimue Exfoliating Enzyme - Full Sized Tube costs €49.00 for 60mls - We got a 30mls tube - Winning many awards Nimue is globally recognised for it’s modern skin classification concept (Environmentally Damaged Skin, Hyperpigmented Skin, Problematic Skin and Interactive) and unique philosophy based on four treatment pillars, Rejuvenation, Restoration, Antioxidation and Sun Protection.

Nimue promises :  Non-irritating, non-abrasive enzymatic exfoliation.  Refines skin texture.  Imparts smooth and radiant skin

Combination of fruit enzymes help digest protein bonds between stratum corneum cells without overstimulation

I am looking forward to trying this out :) :) 

Kinvara Skincare Absolute Cleansing Oil - Full Sized Bottle costs €19.99 for 100mls - we got a 5mls sample -  *Irish Made*  This is one of Ireland's most Acclaimed natural skincare brands and I am excited to try this product out.  Stating that this is is suitable for all skin types I can already tell this is going to be good.  Using a blend of pure plant oils this oil is said to be that gentle it wont strip off your skin.  It is said to remove every trace of dirt grime and makeup that is left on your face leaving your skin clean soft & prepared for the day ahead :) :) This sample is quite small but it does state that you only need one pump to do your entire face hmmmmm. 

Ciate Mini Nail Polish in shade Sugar Plum - Full Sized bottle costs €10.95 for 12.5mls - we got a 5ml bottle :) This will be my first time trying Ciate Nail Polish ..... Yes I know tut tut but I do have nearly too many nail polishes in my collection at the moment its not the first thing I go for as nail polish does not last on my nails long enough.  My hands are always in water and my nails are brittle because of that so most of the time I leave my nails with clear nail polish on but I do like to paint my nails on special occasions or when I feel like treating myself to a mani.  This shade looks fabulous I cant wait to try it on Keep and eye out on facebook and my instagram for a picture of it on my nails :) 

Hollywood Eye Magic Serum - Costing €75 (wow) for a 15ml bottle which is stated to have 300 applications -  we got as you can see a tiny sample about 2 - 3 mls maybe - This states that you will look and feel more confident with your person makeover in a bottle.  With Collagen Boosters, natural extracts and healing properties this exclusive unique formula is oxygen infused for maximum result.  It states to watch it work right before your eyes.  In the directions we have to apply to clean skin sitting upright and rub in a tiny pea sized amount around your eye area.  So if you are a sufferer of Dark Circles, Sagging skin, puffiness, wrinkles and fine lines which we all do at some stage or most stages this might attract you but to be honest it would have to work miracles for that price tag.  Well I will surely let you know if I notice any difference or any miracles :) :) 

and lastly Powderpocket were sweet enough "get it lol (i need to get out more)" to add a little treat for us all to celebrate their 6th box 

The only thing was I only got to look at this packet of sweets before my twins spotted them and was gone running before i could say boo lol 

Over all The box was fine to me.  It didnt wow me like the last 2 I got but I am surely looking forward to trying out the products at the same time.  None of these are full sized products either which is a surprise and it is the first box we have received with no full sized product in it.  But to be honest I can see why as there is a few pricey products included in this box for example the Nimue Exfoliating Enzyme the full sized bottle is 60 mls and costs €49 we got half the size sample which adds up to €24.50 just with that one product makes up for the price of the box and more.

PowderPocket Box April 2014

Hello my beauties :) :) 

Its that time again PowderPocket Box for April :) :) 

Last months Box was super exciting and I have to say I have enjoyed trying out the products I received in them to refresh your memory check out my March PowderPocket post here.  I especially loved the Ginvera BB Cream in which I got 5 full face applications out of and really liked it in fact I will surely be purchasing a full sized product of it for the summer I even did a review on it in which you can check out here 

I also loved the Shiseido - Perfect Rouge Lipstick in which I also did a review on you can check it out here 

This months box has surely open my eyes with delight yet again :) :) I am so so pleased with what I got.

The theme of this months box of course is to mark the start of summer go on you can have a little read of the wonderful magazine that comes with this lovely box 

I love that the paper is bright green this month really summery and of course the paper shreddings reminds me of the hay bales you see in the fields during summer :) :) 

So on with the products I got :) :) 

First up is 

Obviously with Summer arriving our skin is exposed to the sun more which mean extra cares to our skin especially our faces and PowderPocket and surely cleared that by giving us a sample of the La Roche Posay - Anthelios Ultra Light Fluid SPF 50+:  Retailing at €19.50 full sized -  La Roche Posay state that present all year round oven in overcast weather, long UVA rays can penetrate the skin deeply all the way to the dermis.  The 3-way damage can affect the skin's colour(graying) its structure(wrinkles and sagging) and also your immune system.  The Anthelios Ultra Light Fluid SPF 50+ gives you unrivalled facial skin protection.  What's more it has an non-oily finish and leaves no white marks.  Hmmm Sounds great I can not wait to try this out ;)   Check out more details on www.laroche-posay.ie

Of course PowderPocket has thought of our hair for the summer box by adding

An Irish Brand/Product :) :  Bia Beauty Stop The Clock Eye Gel:  Retailing at €16.95 for 15mls:  
Ah I am so excited to try this product as I am ashamed to say I have never got round to trying Bia Beauty Products even though I am Irish but I will surely be trying some more products soon :) 
Bia Beauty says:  We use arnica infused oil which dispenses trapped fluids and so reduced puffy eyes and bags under the eyes (  I need this even without staying out late at night lol lack of sleep due to having 5 children can bring on them bags anytime hahaha)  The aloe vera soothes and heals while the rose, immortelle and myrrh work on fine lines.  This product is 100% natural, instantly brightens tired eyes and comes in a handy airless pump.

I just couldnt resist trying this out straight away and it does feel super cooling in fact I found instant relief on my sore tired eyes I will continue to use this and let you all know how I get on 

Next up is Makeup yeeeeeeeeee

Ok you all know at this stage this is one of my favourite Brands not only because they are Irish but because they make the most amazing brushes for such affordable prices.  When the first box was release I was so disappointed I missed out on it because it features one of Blank Canvas Cosmetics brushes but I am delighted I didnt miss this one.  Featured in this box is Blank Canvas Cosmetics E26 Blending Brush- Retailing at €6.99 full price:  I already own this brush and absolutely love it I also have a review on it which you can view here 

Lastly but not least another makeup product 

Etre Belle Cosmetics - Long Lasting Eye Shadow Pen:  Retailing at €9.95 -  I have never heard of this brand and That makes it even more exciting :) as I love trying out new brand.  Etre Belle Cosmetics is a German Brand and has been around for the past 30 years.  
I am sure I will be doing a review on this as its full sized :) 
Plus Etre Belle State that this Longlasting eyeshadow pen is ideal as an eyeshadow or a thick kajal liner.  They also claim that it becomes smudge and waterproof :) :) Cant wait to try it out and its ones of my favourite colours too ;) 

Another brilliant box this month I am delighted with PowderPocket for sure.  With another 2 full sized products in this months box plus 3 very decent sized product samples I have absolutely nothing to complain about and already excited about the next box.  Keep any eye out for some reviews on some of these products ;)

PowderPocket Box March 2014

Hello my beauties 

Its that time again :) :) 

My 3rd box arrived to my door and of course I was super excited to open it up.  If you remember Last months box I was kind of meh about it as I suppose I got my hopes up too much about the fact that Maryln Monroe was on the front of their magazine and I was think makeup and all sorts but according to you guys out there the box looked fine and you were impressed with what I got :) :) 

I have to admit since Then I have used the product I got and was quite impressed especially with the Body Shop Shea Shower cream mmmm it smells good :) :) 

The Jessica Brilliance Top Coat I use every time I use polish and find it surely makes my nails look super healthy and shiny. 

Ok so Enough about last months and more about this months :) 

Well Let me tell you know I am more excited this month about the box Superrrrr Excited :) 

Why??? Read on ;) 

I have to say one thing I love about getting the PowderPocket is the little Magazine even though its little there is always a good read in it .  So Now we know what this box is based on lets get started :) 

I know I know Exciting already hehehe 

Water Wipes - Sensitive Make-up Remover Wipes:  Retailing at €3.49 per pack.  We Got a Full pack of these yeeeee.  Ok we all do it or did it hand up I did and sometimes do too.... Using facial wipes to remove our makeup and sometimes it can feel hard on our skin.  Why does it feel that way?  Well everytime we use a facial wipe we are taking a layer of skin off our faces that is not ready to be removed so that why or skin feels tight or red or we even get that stinging feeling.  Thats why they advise us not to use them.  I was even told that the hospitals are banning baby wipes which means you can not pack them in your bags when you are prepping for birth.  Unless they are water wipes.  I was so glad to see these in the box for two reasons 

1.  Water wipes are suppose to be perfect for everyone even new born babies and now they have made some for us beauty geeks 

2.  This is a 100% Irish owned brand yeeeeee I love it :) 

I will be doing a review on these soon :) :) 

Lavera - 2 in 1 Hair and Body Wash:  Retailing for 200mls (full sized) €6.42.  This is said to be suitable for the whol family because it is Certified Vegan which mean 100% organic.  Its said to effectively cleanse the hair and body without the use of synthetic ingredients and para-fens.  With ingredients like Organic Lemon Balm and Calendula Extracts its said to help keep the skin soft and hair manageable leaving a refreshing fragrance.  

The fragrance definitely smells organic, it kind of reminds me of T3 oil only milder.  I will look forward to using this one :) 

Ghost Fragrance Sample:  Retailing at €34 full size.   This actually smells divine.  I am sure alot of you have sampled this already in your local pharmacies but it will be nice to sample this little beauty a few time to see how long it lasts and how it smells against my skin.  Its stated to have become a modern day classic.  This might become permanent on my dresser we will have to wait and see :) 

Ginvera BB Cream - Retailing at €21 for 25 mls:  I have to be honest me and BB Creams don't get on at all.  I have tried a few in my lifetime and they have either came out too orange or made me look sick.  So Sampling this one will be interesting.  This BB Cream has come all the way from Singapore.  Its enriched with premium Green Teas, Ginseng, Chinese Angelina and Hyaluronic Acid.  It claims:  They provide the benefits of Blemish Free Concealing, Sun Block Effects, moisturising and reduction of lines.  To be honest there is not enough in this tube to make your mind up about it I think maybe one go and thats it.  That's not enough for me to part with €21 

Shiseido - Perfect Rouge Lipstick:  Retailing at €27 full sized (we got full sized )  Claiming A creamy lipstick that provides intense moisture and treatment effect with all day colour and radience.  Finish:   Rich colour with silky radiance all day hydration to treat dry or damaged lips.  Provides Glamorous full lip effect, smoothes on easily to disguise lies and roughness and colour fade technology guarantees the colour stays true all day long.  Hmmmm alot of promise there :) Cant wait to try it (Well actually I wore it all day yesterday so will have a review up soon ) 

Well that's it Now you can see why I am super excited about this box.  2 Full sized products in it.  Then of course a make-up product.  Its a box of goodies I am already playing with.  Look at that lippy wowzer.  The fact I paid only €15 for this box but just with the 2 full sized products alone I got double my moneys worth and more :)

PowderPocket Box February 2014

Hello my beauties how are you all today :)

Well I'm in to the 2nd month of the Powder Pocket and as you could tell I really enjoyed last months box.  So I was super excited about getting my next box.  If you don't already know about Powder Pocket you can check out my previous blog post for all the information on it.  I do have to point out that Powder Pocket Beauty Box is only available in Ireland for now.

So Without further ado I shall show you what I got for my February Box and give you a quick impression on what I think of the items :) :)  The first thing I noticed when I opened the outside box was the leaflet and I was super excited and lady who love beauty and makeup would be seeing this :) 

Marilyn Monroe on the cover of the little magazine you get with the box :) 

Some Hollywood Glam eh? Sound exciting already it made me more determined to rip open the paper to see what we got :) :) 

Speaking of the box itself  Wow Amazing 

GOLD !!!! Of course to represent the Academy Awards :) love it and really put me in the mood the the Awards :) :) Love it :) 

So what comes inside the box I was excited to see :) 

Ok I have to admit straight away my smile lessen a little when I finally seen what was in the box.  I think in a way I was expecting a little more and at least on makeup item for instance I don't know eyeshadow or lipstick as that is one of the main things we look out for on the awards the makeup and the dresses :) :)  But hey one cant be choosy I suppose so lets take a closer look to see what I got 

First up is 

Shiseido - Benefiance Pure Retinol Eye Mask:  Retailing at €63 for a Pack of 12:  Listed as the Best Visual Performance This Wonder mask is said to instantly reduce the appearance of visible lines ands wrinkles around the eyes and mouth area within 15 minutes.  Hmmm Now this one is going to be interesting to try out but for the price of a 12 pack it would want to work miracles lol I am sorry but to be honest I would have to see it to believe it but I will surely give it a shot :)  and of course will let you know ;) 

Herra Protect Hair Perfume:  Retailing at €29.50 full size:  Listed The Best New Comer Obviously our hair goes through alot be it from styling, dying, pollution weather whatever may cause damage and Herra claim by using their Protect Hair Perfume which contains Sunflower, olive and glycerin extract that this will protect our hair from UV, Pollution and air conditioning while locking in moisture without leaving hair feeling heavy.  The perfume part of course is to give your hair that refreshing scent like as if you have just washed it.  Again I dont really get it paying that much money for something that a shampoo or hair treatment can do also for that extra day you want I find dry shampoo brilliant I am sorry but I know even before I try I wouldnt run out and buy this but hey everyone is different :) 

The Body Shop - Shea Shower Cream:  Retailing at €8.95 for 250mls and we got a great 60ml bottle:  This is Listed the Best Soundtrack for singing in the shower lol:  This is surely more my cuppa tea.  I am super excited to try this little beauty out as I love The Body Shop Product.  I havent tried this out yet and I am already in love with the scent.  I will keep you updated on this

Jessica - Brilliance Top Coat:  Retailing at €13.95 full size which is what we got in the box This is voted by Powder Pockets as The Best Shining Star in a Supporting Role.  Anything to do with nail polish opens up my eyes.  Jessica states:  By using the Jessica nails care treatment products any woman can achieve healthy, beautiful, natural nails.  I have never tried this brand before and I am already impressed.  I applied this instantly to my nails without nail polish underneath and my nails already feel strong and less flimsy.  Its quicky drying which I love and no chipping on day 3 of wear hmmmm cant wait to try this over my nail polishes :) :) 

Manicure - 4 Step File & Shine:  Retailing at only €2.50 :  Best Editing Every woman needs this in their lives :) :) 

4 Steps to having Ultimate high gloss shine nails :) :) 

Cant wait to try this out :) 

That's it That's the February's Box :)  As you can tell I was not as excited about the box this month but saying that we still got our moneys worth alone from getting the Jessica Top Coat.   I do feel The December and January Box was alot better and more exciting so hopefully next Months will be better
