Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzer and Highlight Review :)

Well Hello Beauties :)
I hope you are all well :)
Todays review is on something that has been out on the market a year now and has been getting alot of hype :)  I have been wanting to try this for the longest time and finally got my hands on it when I was using up my points on my Boots Card :) :) I have always wanted to try the Bronzing powder in this version as I heard great things about it but when I seen this I thought it would be worth a try as I am getting 2 in 1 product for the same price
Todays review is on the Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzer and Highlighting Powder :)  (I havent a clue how to pronounce the words thank goodness I write a blog and not doing a video review on it lol)
As mentioned above I got this in Boots for €10.49 and at the moment Boots is doing an offer 3 for 2 on selected Bourjois products :) :)

The packaging is absolutely brilliant :)  I love how this is so small and slim.  The lid is closed with a magnetic fastener that opens and closes easily yet is firm shut once closed :)
To me it looks more like a book than a bronzer and highlighter :)

Inside of course it looks like a book take a look :)

Let me warn you chocoholics out there that once you open this you instantly get the cocoa scent of this amazing product :)  mmmmmmmmm it doesnt really help with the fact I have to stay well away from chocolate due to being an IBS Sufferer but hey what can I do lol
On one side you are getting great instructions on how to use the product and on the other side you are getting what looks like a chocolate bar mmmmmm.  2 block of this "Bar" is the bronzer and the other 2 is the Highlighter :) :)

The bronzer is a perfect bronzer for anyone with light to medium skintone.  I think if someone with very fair skin tried to use this it would look a little orange on them.  It has got a warm orangey undertone to it so it would only suit those who have neutral to yellow undertones :)
Dont get me wrong its not hugely orange especially on me in fact its the perfect day time bronzer without looking over powering.  It creates a beautiful shadow around my face :)  The bronzer is also matte which is great I love matte bronzers and prefer them over shimmery ones :)
You can also build this up to whatever intensity you desire.  You can use it lightly for a light tanned finish or build it up for a more daytime contoured look :) :)  The pigmentation of the bronzer is incredible a little goes a long way and the powder is so soft and creamy blending is effortless :) :)

The highlight is some what different.  It is a gone off white highlight with golden shimmer.  The golden shimmer is not chunky with means you get a glow on those cheek bones more than looking like a disco ball.  The highlight is not as pigmented as the bronzer but I think that is a good thing more than bad :)  It means you have complete control of the amount of highlight you apply to where ever you want :)  The highlight is also very creamy and soft and effortless to apply :) Below is a light swatch of both :) :)

I have to admit I did have higher expectations of this.  The bronzer is a little on the orange side for anyone who is fair skinned and the highlight is stunning but you do have to pack it on to be noticable :)  The scent of them is beautiful and the packaging is so so handy to carry around in your bag :)
Over all I think its a great deal for two products in one and if you have fair to medium skintone you will love this :) :)
Here is a close up picture of both products lightly on my face :) and a light sweep of blush inbetween Sorry about the flash as I had to use it to show the highlight :)

I hope you enjoyed this review :)
Have you tried this yet?
Whats you thoughts on it :)
Until next time

NYC Big Bold Bronzer in Manhatan

Hello my beauties I hope you are all well :)
Todays review is on a very very affordable bronzer that I am actually enjoying alot lately especially with me been alot paler since last summer I found the bronzers I was using before are getting a little too dark for me to use on an every day basis.  This bronzer has been just right for me and I just had to share it with you.
It is the NYC Big Bold Bronzer in shade Manhatan :) Available from Superdrug at only £3.99 which is less than €5.  In the pharmacy where I got mine I only paid €3.99 for it :)

There is 2 shades available Manhatan and Metropolitan
We are getting a whopping 17.1 g of product for our prices which is amazing :) and even better news ....... They are both matte :) :)  In all fairness I have to admit I love matte bronzers I prefer them over shimmer ones any day.  I do own one one shimmer bronzer which is beautiful and amazing and has lasted me a long time in fact i have it over 2 years and still haven't hit pan.  I only use that one when I am going out.

Manhatan is the perfect bronzer for anyone who has fair to medium skin-tones :)  Its a very light natural tan shade and would be perfect for everyday bronzing.  Metropolitan is suitable for anyone with medium to dark skin-tones in which I will also purchase as I wear a darker foundation when I am wearing tan ;)

You may have noticed the tiny speck of shimmer in the bronzer but to be honest I do not even know why they are there because even when you swatch this you will not notice any on your face at all.  Even when I swatched the bronzer on my finger all I got was pure matte powder.  If anything the powder gives a warm semi glow to your face which is exactly what we need especially when we are pale.
I love how smooth and soft this bronzer feels against the skin it feels like silk.  It blends out beautifully and of course its build-able so do not worry if you are the palest of pale this beauty can be as light or as pigmented as you want it to be.  I love the fact that you will not get too much powder on your brush while using this either as its nicely compacted leaving you with 100% control of how much you want to apply to your face.  Plus you are not losing too much product in the process :)
In the picture below I swatched the bronzer twice over to make the shade stand out in the photo but it can be lighter :)

Overall I highly recommend you try their bronzer out if you are looking for something to warm up your complexion a little this is for you.  I find it great especially if I have a foundation that is a little too light for me it blends out to a beautiful natural finish.  I love to use my elf Kabuki brush for this.  I also use this for a natural contoured look too as I said before its build-able so I just apply and apply until i am satisfied with the even contoured look :) :)
In the photo below I used the NYC Big Bronzer in Manhatan all over the face and neck for a more warmer looking complexion :)

For the price you are definitely getting your moneys worth :) :) And just to add to this positive review its one of NYC's top selling products :)
Have you tried this bronzer yet?
Whats your thoughts on it :)
Until next time

NYX Illuminating Bronzer in Chaotic

Hello My beauties I hope you are all well
Today I have a Rave post (yeeeeeeee)
Yes its on this Fabulous NYX Illuminating Bronzer in shade Chaotic
This is just Fabulous and I really could end this review right now by telling you all to go buy it and you wont regret it Honestly I could but I wont as I want to show you all what it looks like :)
These little beauties are only $9 and come in 5 different shades
At the time when I purchased this there was only 3 shades available but now there is 5 The 3 shades I had to choose from Chaotic stood out to me more
I really want to stock up on all of them as I truly believe they are amazing :) :)
So on with the review :)
So NYX state:  Brighten up your skin with any of the Illumination Face & Body Bronzers. The radiant shimmer diffuses light so your skin looks softer and younger while adding a subtle glow. Gleam through the day wearing any of the three Illumination Body Bronzers for a natural touch of radiance!  Interesting isn't it especially now with Summer coming around the corner we want out skin glowing

Its funny when you think bronzer you think dark bronzy shades but in fact with NYX Illuminating Bronzers they are they opposite.  They are more bright cheerful illuminators for every skin tone even ones who are at the fairest in fact they could really leave out the work Bronzer and put either blush or just illuminator.  Well I could say that about this shade in particular you will see why when I show you.

The packaging is very sleek with a shiny black plastic compact.  The lid is very sturdy so no need to worry that it will open in your handbag.  Inside you get a very nice sized mirror that is perfect for travel of course.

Oh ladies believe me when I tell you that this can be surely compared to any high end blush out there as in performance, pigmentation and of course beauty.
I use Benefit Coralista in the Spring and Summer alot and that cost €38 or around but this has surely replace Coralista alot lately for me
I am going to call it a blush as that is exactly what I use it for.  This blush is absolutely amazing.  I cant get over how pigmented it is you literally dip the brush once and your done.  I love the colour which is a Peachy Pink blush with a golden shimmer.  Do not be put off by the word shimmer as its the type of shimmer that gives you an amazing glow to the cheeks.  Anyone who has a darker skintone will find this brilliant as a high light

Awww what more can I say about this apart from the fact that its just lovely :)
The lasting power is brilliant I found it lasted me all day long actually 8 hours max to be precise.  If there was one fault i had to pick with this it would be that you have to use with a light hand for sure.  I remember the first time I used this I used a heavy hand and i was like wow there hello clown nina.  The brush will pick up alot of product if you use a heavy hand.
also if you are a dry skin suffer this blush (as i can it) will emphasise your dry flakes as it is an illuminator.  I do suffer with enlarged pores especially in warm weather and i found that this did not emphasis them :)

Overall an excellent blush and should be in everyones collection this is suitable for every skin tone and gives a beautiful glow to the skin.  This looks fabulous in photos too as i do not have a natural flush to my cheeks and I find this give me that perfect healthy flushed look and feel it makes me look even a little younger :) :)
I highly recommend this to you all to try.  I am not sure what the other shades are like but this one has surely hit a favourite of mine
Here is a picture of me wearing a light sweep of Chaotic across the cheeks :) I have a before and after picture just to show you how much I have no colouring on my cheeks at all :) :)

Aww i just love it :)
Well that it for today I hope you enjoyed my review.  Have you tried this yet?  Is it something you would like to try :) Comment below I love hearing from you

MUA Bronzed Perfection Review

Well hello there my fantastic gorgeous readers
How are you this fine Monday :)
I hope you all had a great weekend :)
Today I bring to you my review on the MUA Bronzed Perfection Bronzer :)
I have been dying to get my hands on this ever since it was released simply because I heard it was a matte bronzer and to be honest I prefer matte bronzers quicker than shimmery ones.  Plus I liked the way MUA described it and I just had to see for myself.
Bronzed Perfection is lightly frosted, tinted powder that gives skin sheer, natural colour effects and highlights. Ideal for enhancing skin tones or to accent or strengthen a tan and is perfect for sculpting your face to perfection! Formulated to provide a smooth, even application on all skin types.
There is only one shade of this available and it costs only £3 for a whopping 15g of product how could you pass that.  The worrying part of buying an affordable bronzer is the shade of it because 9 time out of 10 when you buy an affordable bronzer it turns out to be orange or muddy.  So did this pass for me??? read on to find out :)
Ok lets start off with the packaging :)  As you can see by the photos its simple and cheapish looking with a clear lid so you can see the shade but it is sturdy and at least the lid is not flimzy.
On the bronzer itself has nice imprints on the word bronzed on it which i like as it make it look like you have paid more than you did for it.
This is a perfect bronzer for fair to medium skin tones.  What i noticed when i did opened this is you will notice a tiny amount of shimmer but when swatched all you get is a matte payoff.  I think the shimmer is there for what MUA states "The natural effects and highlights"
Another thing I noticed was the bronzer is a little on the chalky side now its nothing to give out about believe me but just so I can let you all into every detail ;) but just a word of warning to use a light hand while using it or you will pick up too much product.
I absolutely love the colour payoff of this.  Its neither muddy or too orange and gives you a nice day time bronzed look.
I use this mostly for contouring in the day time or if I dont want to use a blush i simply sweep a little of this on the cheeks.  I love the payoff and I love the fact that you can build it up to the coverage you want.  Application takes very little effort but a little more effort than say my Sleek contouring kit.  It simply needed a little more blending out.  I found the lasting power to be great it was about 6 hours on before I noticed it fading a little but you could get away it wearing it all day without feeling you need to touch up.
I think its a great everyday bronzer and for the price you can not go wrong.  Put it this way you will have it a long time before it runs out with the size of it lol
Here is a picture of me wearing just the bronzer and no blush.
Please excuse my tired looking eyes I had a crazy crazy week and exhaustion was hitting me :)
So overall I am very pleased with this.  I like the finish as I do look nice and healthy not over over done with the sun kissed glow :)
If you are looking for an everyday bronzer or something to suit your fair or medium skin tone this is for you :)
Until next time

New Limited Edition "Cucuba" by Catrice

Hey my beauties :)
Its that time again YEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Introducing to you Catrice New Limited edition for August - September 2012
:)
I have been a very very good girl for the last few Limited Editions and only buying what i know i will use shades I know will suit me and so on
This time around i have been extra restrictive for example I didnt but any nail polishes as to be honest none of them really jumped out at me saying "you have to buy me" as i must at this stage have about 70 bottles of nail polishes and each one looked very familiar to ones i have already.  Of course while i will go through this selection i will tell you what I am missing and what shades but for now i will show you what I got :)
Caribbean flair in Havana, the pastel Chevrolets and Cadillacs of the 50’s, intoxicating salsa sounds in bars and restaurants – pure joy of life! The new Limited Edition “Cucuba“ by CATRICE presents a Cuban attitude with warm brown and bronze shades, mustard yellow, bright coral and soft mint green this August and September 2012.
First up to show you is what im sure you noticed first in the above picture :) :) as it was the first thing i noticed when i went to buy this range :)
Viva Cuba! This Bronzing Powder is an absolute must-have for the ultimate Cuban summer style! It gives your face a naturally tanned look and is ideal for shading the contours of your face thanks to its matt texture.
Firstly I was totally amazed by the size of this bronzer you are getting 23g of product for only 4.99 euro which is a bargain in itself.  I love the packaging as its sturdy and the lid is strong.  I love the design on the lid also as it looks more expensive than what i paid for it :)
At first i thought that maybe the shade of the bronzer was going to be a little dark for my complexion as it looks dark in the pan.  I also noticed quite a substantial amount of shimmer which i actually do not like in a bronzer but the shimmer looked very fine so i took the risk and im glad i did
The Powder is very finely milled.  It feels very soft and somewhat creamy.  It is not at all chalky. I found it to be quite sheer at first to use which was surprising as i said before it looks darker in the pan but it is build-able   To be honest i am not sure if someone with a darker skintone will get any payoff using this which is a shame as i presumed by looking at the video that this was going to be for people with darker skin tones so in a way its sort of misleading.  I found this lovely to use as it gives a beautiful glow to my cheeks.  I have worn a pretty dark smokey eye a few times since buying this and found just using this on my cheeks worked really well.  The Shimmer does not appear like shimmer on the cheeks only creates a nice glow.  This is definitely worth 4.99 for sure I love it :) The picture below is a light swatch on the palest part of my are as you can see its sheer enough and you can see what i mean about it maybe been too light for someone with a darker complexion
Next up
Pure color! This highly-pigmented loose powder eye shadow guarantees intense color and gives your eyes a bright shine thanks to its metallic shimmer effects. Warm yellow, two brown-bronze shades and the two eye-catching colors mint green and coral reflect the colorful Cuban scenery.
There are 5 shades available in these i ended up just getting two.  I was a very good girl and am so proud of myself :) (round of applause please)
There is 2g of product in each eyeshadow and costs 3.49 euro each :)
The packaging i pretty straight forward as you can see its a little plastic jar with a brown lid.  When you open the lid you will see a sifter type top on the eyeshadow which allows only the right amount of product you want at that time :)
I find that very hygenic and think its a great idea for the pigment to last longer without getting damp
The first Pigment i got was the C02 Reggaeton:  I instantly fell in love with this shade :) Its a lovely chocolate brown with golden shimmer and in a way when the sun hits it you see shimmers of green.  This eyeshadows gives a metallic finish.  Picture below is with no primer underneath
And lastly
C05 Take it Mint:  This is a stunning stunning shade :) As you can see it is very much so a mint shade with silver shimmers going through it :) Again this eyeshadow gives a metallic finish i found Reggaeton alot more pigmented much to the fact its a darker shade
The other 3 shades that i am missing are
01 Sunny Side which seems to be A mustardy yellow
03 Salsa Cubana which is a Peachy shade
and 04 Havana Drum which is bronzy brown
Over all i found these pigments to be brilliant.  The pigment itself is not as finely milled as the pigments i already own they are more flaky not that it makes a difference.  They work brilliantly over a base/primer and they work brilliant wet over all you wont be disappointed with these as pigments if you can use them are always best :) I have used the Mint shade as an eyeliner and it looks stunning gives a great pop of colour to an everyday look
and Lastly
Soft Lip Colour
The high pigmentation in the transparent gel-like texture of the Soft Lip Colour lipstick ensures bright, pure and intense color. Thanks to this special texture, it feels pleasantly light and soft on your lips – perfect for summer days at the beach or in the city.
There is only 2 shade available in these.  They cost 4.49 euro each.  The packaging isnt on the exciting side its just a plain brown tube but the lid is quite sturdy thats a plus i guess.
When they labelled this as a soft lip colour they really did mean a soft lip colour. Wow when i swatched these first i put a little too much pressure on it and a big chunk fell off.  Now the pressure i put on it was just like applying a lipstick.  So thats just a little warning to you all before you try them.  These lip colours are so so soft and cream they apply so easy too.  When i swatched these on my hand i couldnt help but notice they were not as pigmented as catrice made out to be but when i applied them to my lips i was actually surprise as my lips are naturally pigmented i thought there wouldnt be much colour pay off and i was wrong.  Just one layer brings the colour out lovely on my lips.  My lips looked brightened up as well as luscious with its sheen
Salsa Cubana is a lovely coral shade with teeny tiny shimmers to it to add that extra ummmph to your lips :)
Be all Smiles is a lovely tanned browns shade also with teeny tiny shimmers which are actually not that noticeable on the lips.  I find these lovely on the lips but for moisture these dont last more that 2 hours on the lips im afraid.  There are lips balms out there around the same price that last longer and thats what you need when you are looking for moisture for the summer and winter.  But of course you could apply your normal lip balm on and then if you wanted a wash of colour to your lips then apply this over they last longer that way.  So i recommend them yes they are not bad but if you are looking for long lasting colour or moisture these are not for you
So Thats it everyone thats all i got from this Limited Edition as i said before I am missing the nail polishes and lastly I am missing the Liquid Eyeliners which had 2 shades one was a mint green shade the same shade as the pigment and a brown which i didnt need :)
Over all This Limited Edition as been nice to play around with I love the bronzer and the eyeshadows are worth their money.  The lip colours are ok nothing special to be honest in my eyes but if you do not own anything like these well they then are worth a try

Have you tried any of the Cucuba Limited Edition ??
What would you like to try
Until Next time take care
Lots of Love Luck and Laughter
