Nivea Q10 Plus Range :)

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
Just to warn you before you start reading ...... Go grab yourself a cuppa because this might be a long but informative read :)  Especially if you like Nivea and also interested in their new range :)  ;)  I promise it wont be long winded :)
As you may know Nivea products has always been a long time favourite of mine and no matter what other skincare ranges I try and finish I always seem to go back to my all time favourite :)  I have been using Nivea for as long as I can remember and never once have I been disappointed :)
I was even more excited to try this new range out because as much as I hate to admit it my skin is not getting any younger and to be honest I want to keep my skin looking young for as long as I can (Dont we all )
This skincare range is not only for anyone over the age of 30, 40 etc this is for anyone who wants to prevent wrinkles forming and all of that stuff :) :)  In my opinion you are never too young to start taking really good care of your skin and to aim to fight those lines that lately turn into deep wrinkles :)
I do have to admit it myself I have fines lines now (or as I call them laughing lines) and I will be dammed if I am going to get more anytime soon lol :)  or so I hope :)
Of course preventing anymore lines does include a healthy lifestyle aswell as skincare.  So i have become better in making sure my healthy is improved simply by what I take into my body and of course at least having a half hour walk a day etc but taking care of my skin is another thing I have been more cautious about :)
No obviously there is no way of ridding wrinkles and fine lines without going the surgical way but Nivea have done their research and created a range in which Evens out lines and smooths out wrinkles so that they look less visible.

So How is Coenzyme Q10 going to help us?
Well Q10 is a natural Coenzyme present in all cells of the body.  As the outermost layer, the skin has a constant need for Q10 to work as an antioxident to battle against everyday harms that causes our skin to age aka Sun rays, toxins in the air etc.  As we get older the natural Q10 that is in our skin begins to lessen leaving that natural defence to lessen which causes every day harms to take effect on our skin.  This is why its so important for us to replace the loss of Q10 to keep that strong defence up :)
This is why I am super excited about this range and have been loving using these products so much lately :) :)  So without further ado let be begin with one of the most interesting products of this bunch :)  The most effective one should I say :)

NIVEA Q10 PLUS ANTI-WRINKLE SERUM PEARLS  :)

Why this is more effective?
NIVEA Q10plus Anti-wrinkle Serum Pearls deliver you the highest dosage of skin’s own coenzyme Q10 within the Q10plus Anti-wrinkle range. Its highly powerful formula enriched with Hyaluronic Acid proves its pure anti-wrinkle efficacy by not only reducing the appearance of wrinkles visibly but also helping to decelerate the formation of new ones. With regular use, they soften skin surface noticeably and reignite its smooth and younger looking complexion.
The beautiful golden pearls are infused in an intensely moisturising hydro gel which also contains Q10
Another ingredient in this Serum is Hyaluronic Acid which is said to be an outstanding anti-wrinkle powder because it acts as a filler, plumper and smooths out the appearance of deep lines :)

I found this at first very unusual and didnt really read the instructions :)   I really like the idea of applying a serum to my face but found serums to be a little OTT price wise until I got this :)  This will only set you back €14.99 for 40mls which is an amazing price for for the amount you are getting.  You only need the smallest amount to do your entire face :)
Finally I own a serum which is going to be super effective to my skin and not cost me an arm and a leg.  :)
This serum comes with a pump which dispenses just the right amount of product to apply to the face.  Now when I first pumped this little beauty I got a shock to be honest as I was expecting just this simple cream with a mixture of the golden pearls.  What I did get was a blog of yellow creamy substance :)
To be honest it sort of reminded me of scambled eggs (lol I know im crazy)  and when blending it out on my hand it looked like that even more :)  look for yourself

Let me reassure you that once this is rubbed into the skin it de solves and leaves you with the most amazing glowing skin :)  You are best applying this to fresh cleansed face to get the real benefits from this amazing stuff.   Once applied the serum soaks right into your skin straight away :)

I apply this before applying my makeup everyday and of course every night after washing my face and before my moisturiser.  I love how refreshing my skin looks and feels and this has definately become a favourite of mine.  I love how it doesnt leave my skin looking oily and through out the day I do not notice any oilys coming through my makeup :)  Its a big thumbs up for me for sure :)  I have large pores and usually I notice my large pores through out the day but when having this serum on my face I dont notice it anymore :)  As for proving it evens works on wrinkles well I cant really prove that as im lucky I have none yet but I have notices that some of my fine lines are less visible which is a good start :)  I can safely say the more I use this the more I will see the difference :)

Next up is Moisturisers :)

NIVEA Q10 ENERGISING DAY CREAM

Tired skin is a down fall I have always had.  My skin is lifeless without anything on it to be honest.  I havent got natural flushed cheeks and I have no natural glow :(  I envy people who do have that natural glowing flushed look as they can get away with wearing no makeup.  Of course been a mum of 5 and a blogger and running errands all the time can takes it toll on my skin but I do like to have my makeup free days and have that refreshed looking skin walking out the door too :)  Any mum out there can vouch for me here when I say there are days we just looking in the mirror and basically see this tired older looking faces that look like the life has bee sucked out of their faces just for been tired and we feel like we need to put a bag over our faces before walking out the door.  Well not anymore I may be a full time mum but I will me dammed if I am going to look 20 years older than I am !!!!! Dam Straight!!!!!
So this is why I decided to opt for this moisturiser.
Nivea states:
Nivea Q10  plus Anti-Wrinkle Energising Day Cream visibly reduces the appearance of wrinkles and awakens your skin for a fresh and radiant look.  The moisturizing formula with natural Goji Berry – a fruit rich of vitamins – reactivates skin‘s power to recover from fatigue and stress. Besides, the formula contains skin‘s own Coenzyme Q10 and visibly reduces lines and signs of ageing.
Awww I just love how Nivea always has a protective cover over their creams to keep the creams in perfect condition.  You get this pot which contains 40mls of product for only €11.80 and This pot is full to the top :) :)
The cream is very light weight and very easy to spread out on the face.  After I wash my face I find applying this after the serum very very refreshing :)  Not only that this cream instantly soaks into my skin leaving me with very soft and youthful looking skin.  My face feels like babys skin after you apply lotion to their skin.  Lately I have bee suffering with very dry skin around my nose area which affects me alot especially when wearing foundation as it makes my foundation look cakey around my nose and tends to build up.  Since starting to use this cream its not dry anymore :) :)  My skin feels moisturised all day long.  i have also got my no makeup days and am able to walk out the door with fresh glowing looking not so tired looking skin :)  Now all im missing is the natural flush on my cheeks which unfortunately no cream can fix lol :)  The scent of this moisturiser is amazing and basically your typical Nivea scent in which my kiddies adore smelling off my face :)  My twins are forever kissing my cheeks and giving them an odd sniff with a sigh :)  Which of course make me smile every time :)  Another thumbs up for me :) :)  I can finally see a refreshed younger looking complection staring back at me when I look in the mirror :)  ( & thats without surgery or makeup)  Ok it doesnt work that much of a miracle and doesnt make a huge difference to my skin but it surely doesnt make my skin look fresh moisturised alive and not dull and thats all we need to look good ;)

Nivea Q10 anti-wrinkle Q10 Plus night cream
Now of course we need to keep our skin moisturised at night because to be realistic our skin goes through alot through out the day and when we can finally take our makeup off go for our shower and just into our pj our skin needs moisture through out the night.  Especially if you suffer with dry or sensitive skin.
Nivea state:
Nivea Q10 plus anti-wrinkle Night Cream is part of our proven Anti-Wrinkle Care System. At night, skin is most receptive to moisture intake and the intensely moisturising night cream:

1. Supports your natural Q10 level at night, fights the appearance of wrinkles and visibly smoothes your skin.
2. Replenishes skin at night and supports its ability to regenerate.
What Nivea didnt mention is that Creatine which is one of the main ingredients in this night cream also helps to tighten our skin through out the night and helps us fight against ageing :)  The Fact that Creatine is also proven to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is perfectly ok to me :) :)

Like the day cream this is also 40mls of product full to the top for only €11.80 :)  The thing is with this cream you are going to use even less because the consistency of this cream is thicker than the day cream.

The scent of course is exactly the same as the day cream just heavenly :) :)  I feel that this cream is very cooling when first applied to the face which is exactly what we need at night :)  Even though this cream is thicker than the day cream it doesnt feel it once applied and only takes a few seconds to completely soak into the skin.  I was a little worried about that because most night creams I have tried didnt soak in as quick and left me with a damp feeling on my skin even hours after applying to my skin but this cream soaked right in.  I was mistaken in worrying because once the cream is soaked in your skin feels super moisturised and even when you wake in the morning you feel like you have just applied the cream which is amazing :)  In the morning my skin feels smooth soft and so refreshed.

As for anti-wrinkles well I am sure by the time I finish the pot I will see a little difference but to be honest I dont care about that part all I care is that all this range is doing for my skin is preventing newer lines appearing on my face and helping me look more bright eyed and bushy tailed :)  With both these creams and the serum working together I have every confidence that they are doing their job for my skin and helping me avoid getting more fine lines and keeping those wrinkles away for another while.  What I am super please with is that since using these products I havent had any dry spots around my nose and my skin looks more alive and fresh :)
But of course we cant forget this last product which is something I havent been strict on myself about before I started using this tut tut to me I know :)

NIVEA ANTI-WRINKLE Q10 PLUS EYE CREAM

I really cant believe I have not been strict on myself enough about using eye creams before now but I havent been using them.   To be honest the skin under my eyes has been very dry lately and notice that sometimes using different concealers makes my under eyes look cakey throughout the day making them look old.
Since using this eye cream I havent experiencing any dryness at all.
Nivea state:

Nivea Q10 plus anti-wrinkle Eye Cream is part of our proven Anti-Wrinkle Care System. The formula with UVA/ UVB filters helps support the skin’s defence. The light perfume-free, quickly-absorbed eye cream:

1. Supports your natural Q10, fights the appearance of wrinkles and visibly smoothes your skin
2. Helps support skin’s defence through UVA + UVB protection
3. Minimises dark under-eye circles RESULT: Smoother, younger-looking skin and minimised dark under-eye circles.

Again like the night cream this eye cream contains Creatine ;)

This tube is 15mls and costs €11.79 but really this tube is going to last a long time as you only need a pea sized amount to do both eyes.  The tube has a very skinny nozzle at the end which helps you dispense just the right amount of product onto your fingers :)

This is so so pleased to use on the eyes and not once has it sung me which is what we all fear.  Of course you have to be careful applying the cream and not to let it get into your eyes.  It feels like I am spreading water to my under eye area instead of a cream, that's how light it feels.  My under eye instantly looks moisturised and alot brighter.  I like to apply this twice a day.  In the morning and last thing at night.  It takes a while for this cream to soak in but once its soaked in your under eye area feels moisturised all day and night :)

As far as minimising dark circles I can safely say it hasnt done that for me yet as I suffer with dark circles from the inner corner to more or less the outer corner of my eyes and to me there is no difference but I  am only using this for about a month now so it could happen the more I use it :) and I will surely update you on that :)  One thing I am glad about is that I am finally into a routine of using eye creams twice a day now which to be honest everyone should do too once they hit their mid 20's onwards as we all dread those crows feet and wrinkles and what better way to prevent them than investing in a good eye cream ;)

Well finally I have got to the end of my review and over all I am so so happy with this range.  I feel really great that I have a skincare that is not only protecting my face but also giving me the moisture I need :)  I am also crazy about the Serum and Highly recommend it :)  Its amazing :)  For the price you are paying (which is super affordable in my eyes) you are getting amazing quality skincare :)

Have you tried this new Q10 Plus range yet.  I am so tempted to go out there and get the rest of the range to try out :)  To see what else is available check out Niveas Website :)

Until Next time

Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties :) I hope you are all well :)
You may remember I have already reviewed Coastal Scents Revealed 1 & 2 palettes in the past and absolutely adored them :)  I still to this say reach for them :)  The Revealed 1 & 2 are supposed to be dupes of the Naked 1, 2 and 3 but to be honest I never really compared them to the Urban Decay palette because I felt I didnt need to as I just fell in love with the colours of each and the pigmentation of course :)  The fact that you can get 20 shades of eyeshadows per palette for only $19.95 is a bargain in itself never mind having amazing eyeshadows to choose from :)  If you didnt see any of these posts Check out my Revealed 1 and Revealed 2 palette reviews first before reading on.  If you are interested in these palettes at least you will have an idea of which one will suit your needs :) :)

Well when I heard that Coastal Scents was releasing yet another Revealed palette I just had to jump to the chance of trying this beauty out after all the first and second one never let me down so this one couldnt right?!  or could it ?

Like the first & second palette this comes in a handy little box which looks exactly like the palette itself only it has a picture of the palette in the back of the box.  The palette itself is really slim and lightweight which is always handy for travelling or even handier for storing in your drawer.  The lid of the palette is held closed by a magnet I love that :) What I love more about this palette is the front writing on it :)  The Reveal3d part is pretty cool :)

As mentioned above there are a selection of 20 shadows altogether a nice mixture of shimmers and matte which is always handy for travelling or doing your makeup in hurry as you are not looking for different palettes with different shades :)
As you have probably noticed there is a nice selection of berry, purple, golds and browns in this which is always nice to see in a palette like this and I especially got excited about the purples because they are my most favourite eyeshadow colour :) :)
So lets get started on the shades :)
  1. Shade 1 is a nice matte gone off white which is super pigmented and works great for a brow bone or inner corner highlight
  2. Shade 2 is another matte this time a nice peach shade which is also perfect for the brow bone or inner corner :)
  3. Shade 3 I thought would be a great transition shade which of course is but to be honest if you are pale skinned you might find this a little dark to use as a transition colour :)  This is a nice pigmented matte medium brown shade a little goes a long way with this :)  Its soft and very blendable
  4. Shade 4 is our first shimmer a golden peach which is handy for the lid but I did find you need to pack this on to get a decent amount of pigmentation so expect to spend a little time on this one :) but once applied looks amazing :)
  5. This is a nice satin medium brown with golden shimmers but the shimmer gives a satin finish :)  this is very pigmented and soft.  Stunning.  I do have to say this can get a little chalky and you will experience fall out if you do not tap off your brush
  6. A Beautiful deep shimmery gold.  Again another pigmented shade and very buildable :)
  7. A Beautiful deep satin Burgundy wow this shade is amazing.  it has tiny golden shimmers in it but once blended out this shade looks more matte than satin :) I love using this in the crease as a pop of colour especially when wearing neutrals :)
  8. A Bright shimmery baby pink again has little shimmers in it but could pass off as a matte :)  This is another shade that has to be built up before you get decent payoff with it especially if applying this on the lid :)
  9. This is like shade 7 only darker and more shimmer in it :)  A stunning shade and very very pigmented.  This is a little chalky and you will have some fallout but a little goes a long way with this shade
  10. This shade is amazing and very very pigmented :)  A Deep dark brown with beautiful red and gold shimmers :)  a little goes a long way but be warned you will have fall out with this and because its a darker shade you are best doing your eyes first with this one.  Even after tapping my brush with this I found there was still fall out :)

Next row :)

  1. Shade 1 This is absolutely stunning and probably one of my favourite shades :)  a deep purple with tints of gold and red shimmers :)  This has a satin finish and is very pigmented and easy to work with :)
  2. This is another purple but leaning more toward a brown with tints of purple :)  This unfortunately is another shade that needs work it need building up before you get any benefits from it :)  its also chalky which means your will experience fall out
  3. This is one shade I was super excited about trying.  In the pan it looks like a light purple but when swatched and looked closely you can see hints of red and gold shimmer which is very unusual as I have never tried a shade like this.  I was a little disappointed as it wasnt as pigmented as I thought and if you use this dry you will find that you have to pack this shade on alot before you get any use out of it.  I have used this with a damp brush but still found it was less pigmented than I wanted it to be
  4. This is a light shimmery pink with tiny shimmers.  It has a satin finish and is stunning once packed onto the lid.  Its a little chalk again so patting motions are essential but again a lovely bright lid shade :)
  5. A Shimmery taupe light in pigmentation but once packed on gives a nice colour payoff :)
  6. A deep golden brown and another favourite in the palette.  Its highly pigmented and works well in the crease, outer corner and even on the outer V.  Theres a but of course!!!  This shade is extremely chalky which mean if you do not use this shade with a light hand you are going to have major fall out even when tapping off your brush.  Its messy so make sure you apply your eye makeup before your foundation if planning on using this shade.  It blends well and does look stunning on the eyes
  7. A Deep shimmery gold.  You may think that this is like the gold on the first row but it isnt.  The gold on the first row is more of a yellow gold this one isnt as yellow.  Again this shade need packing on the lid before you get the intensity that you want but looks stunning when applied
  8. A medium taupe perfect for a transition shade its cool toned so its perfect for anyone with light skin tone.
  9. A Very deep dark brown with purple undertones.  This has some shimmer to it but once applied to the eyes you barely notice the shimmers :)  This is very pigmented but also quite chalky so again you have to be careful with fall out :)
  10. This did look like a black to me in the pan but when I swatched it, it was more of a dark charcoal with silver shimmers.  It could pass off as a black but I have worked with the darkest of blacks before :)  its a very pigmented shade and again chalky so handle with care.

Now for my honest opinion :)
I have to admit my excited was a tad bit distinguished once I started swatching as I was a little disappointed with how chalky these eyeshadow were compared to the other 2 palettes by coastal scents.  I also noticed that even though this palette has a wide variety of shades in it, first time users of eyeshadows might find it hard to create looks from this palette.  The shades are a little all over the place as a sense on shades complimenting each other like the first 2 palettes.  I have created a couple of looks in which are pretty easy to create.  The first one is more for day time :)

Starting with the top row shades
I used the 1st shade as a browbone highlight.
I used the 3rd shade as a transition shade deepening it more in the crease and outer V
To blend out the 3rd shade I used a little of the 7th shade as a pop of colour in the crease and a little above :)
From the 2nd row
I use 7th shade on the lid stopping 3/4 way outwards :)
I also deepened the outer V with a little of the 6th shade :)
I wanted a little brightness in the inner corner so I added a little of the 4th shade on the 1st row.
I hate that these shade have no names so I diagrammed the look to make it easier for you to see
I also created a very easy smokey eye that would be suitable for a night time or day time :)

I used the 1st shade as a brow bone highlight bringing it down nearer to the crease to help with blending I also used the 1st shade as an inner corner highlight :)
I used the 1st shade from the 2nd row all over the lid leaving the inner 1/3 blank
I then used the 3rd shade on the 2nd row on the inner 1/3 using the shade with a damp brush for more pigmentation
I use the 9th shade from the top row into the crease to warm up the look a little.  I then used the 9th shade to deepen the outer 1/2 of the lid and brought that shade into the crease deepening the crease also.  I wanted to go a little deeper so I use the 10th shade on the bottom row on the outer V and blended well :)
I also used a little of the 8th shade on the bottom row to help blend out the harsh lines :)
Here is my diagram to make it easier to follow :)

Alot of people will be put off by the fall out part and if you are in a hurry to do your makeup I wouldn't say this would be the palette for you on them days.  If you have time on your hands you will create some beautiful looks with this palette as alot of the shades are very pigmented.  If you use a base these shadows will last all day.
If I am been honest I did find this palette didn't excite me as much as the other two but I do feel some of these shades are stunning and very very pigmented.  If you have green/hazel eyes you would have more fun with this palette as there is alot of shades in there to compliment our shade of eyes :)
If I was asked to rate this palette I would have to rate it 7/10
Docking 1 point for fallout
Another point for the fact that if you are new to eye makeup you will find it hard to put looks together with this palette
and lastly because some of the shades lacked pigmentation
I gave it 7 because even though there is fall out from alot of the shadows they are still very pigmented, soft and easy to blend.

I really hope you found this review helpful and if you are more curious about this palette check out the Coastal Scents website where the palettes are on sale for $19.95 and sometimes when Coastal Scents has a sale these palettes can go for as little as $10 each which is more than worth it for that price :) :)

The Balm Nude'tude Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hello Beauties I hope you are all well :)
Ok I have a wee confession, incase you havent noticed I have a little obsession with eyeshadows :)
I just cant resist them at all.  I love makeup so so much the eyes are my favourite part and when it comes to eyeshadows especially palettes (in my eyes) you can never have too much.
This palette in particular I have wanted in my life for such a long time and I finally got my hands on it.  There is a number of reasons why I wanted it so much starting with
  1. You can safely say Youtube and Bloggers made me do it.  :)   I have seen so many people on Youtube boasting about this palette and giving it A1 reviews and as of beauty bloggers well swatches and picture confirmed I NEEDED IT
  2. The shade selection :) These shades are exactly what we need in our lives for bothe day time and night time looks
  3. Of course the packaging I mean seriously The Balm have really made their packaging too attractive for us to pass am I right

This beautiful palette comes in a card board covering much like the actualy palette it slides out of the covering to reveal this very slim light weight palette.  The lid of the palette is closed with a little magnet :)
Inside you will find a slim mirror (Always handy for travelling)
You will also see 10 beautiful shadows each on named (Love it) and also a double ended brush.  Not a sponge tipped applicator!  You are getting on one end your are getting an angled eyeshadow brush and on the other end you are getting and eyeliner brush :)  Again LOVE IT !!!!!

Do I hear Angels singing ?? Ok Ok my obsession might be a little more than OTT but you have to admit this palette looks Beautiful already doesnt it :)  Well let me give you a closer look :)

Did you say closer Ok if you insist :)

Ok lets get on with the shades shall we :)
We have
Sassy:  A Stunning shimmery white eyeshadow a perfect highlight for under the brows or in the inner corner to open up tired eyes :)  This shade is gorgeous and very pigmented.  Its so easy to blend and feels like silk :) Love it

Stubborn:  A beautiful shimmer baby pink.  The shimmers are silver and a little chunky but nothing a bit of blending wont change :)  A stunning all over the lid shade :) :)

Selfish:  A stunning taupe with golden shimmer :) The more you build this shade the more silver it looks its beautiful and very pigmented :)  A little goes a long way :)

Sophisticated:  A Stunning medium brown with golden shimmers :)  Again very pigmented and soft.  Its also very easy to blend :)

Sexy:  Love this shade :)  Its our first Matte of the palette a deep burgundy a stunning crease shade for those darker smokey eye looks or if you are bold enough wearing on the lid for a day time look :)  This shade is stunning on green/hazel eyes especially :)  Very pigmented and very soft

Serious:  Another matte for us this time a matte black :)  Very pigmented, very black and again very soft.  This is one easy bad boy to blend and can also be used as an eyeliner :)

Snobby:  A beautiful shimmery yellow :)  again very pigmented soft and very blendable :)

Stand.offish:  A light shimmery peach :)  The shimmers are a little chunky in this and you will experience a little fall out if you are not careful but this is another beautiful lid shade :)

Sultry:  Another matte this time a medium brown.  The perfect crease shade or even for blending out :)  Very pigmented and very soft :)

Seduction:  A stunning shimmery gold.  Very pigmented and very creamy This shade is stunning on people with blue eye especially.  The perfect lid colour for a neutral day time look :)

Silly:  This is a lovely satin medium brown with tiny specks of golden shimmer :)  You barely notice the shimmer when you blend this shade out and would almost pass for a medium matte brown :) nicely pigmented and a little goes a long way :)

Sleek:  A very deep dark matte brown hugely pigmented and very soft :)  This shade is super easy to blend and works well for a daytime smokey eye or even a day time eye-liner :)

You can slick on the photo for a closer look.  All swatches are made with no primer underneath :)

I played around with this palette just putting shades together and this is what I came up with of course for day time :) (you can click on the photo for a closer look )  :)

I used "Stubborn" all over the lid patting on more on the 1st half of the lid
I use "Sultry" in the crease and above
Next I used "Sexy" in the crease and outer corner of the lid blending it inwards on the lid and a little above the crease
I wanted the out V and the crease to be a little darker so I applied "Silly" there and blended :)  I patted a little of "Stand.offish" to the inner corners to brighten up the area :)  I applied all of the above to the lower lash line :)
Lastly I applied a little of "Sassy" just below the brow :)

Overall This palette is amazing and well worth having in your collection.  Each and every shade is amazing pigmented and lasts all day long especially when used with a good base :)  I plan on creating alot of looks with this palette.  The eyeshadows are so easy to work with and blend like a dream :)  I really want to try out some more palettes by Thebalm :) This palette is a great investment especially if you are a makeup artist or like me love doing eye makeup :)  Gorgeous !!!!

You can purchase this palette from The Balm website itself which costs $36/€34 if you are a first time buyer from The Balm website you can get 10% off your first order by signing up :)  or like myself from Cloud10 Beauty for €35 and Cloud10 are offering 15% off everything to celebrate Mothers Day just use the code "mum15" offer ends March 15th or you can also get it on ebay in which I have checked for you here for €26.32 including postage

Makeup Academy Pro Base Prime & Conceal Powder

Hello Beauties :)
You may have seen that I had this powder in my collection recently by my #fotd photos of products I use on the day on my instagram.  Well you are not on your own as a few people have asked me what my thoughts are on this powder and I thought today was the day to tell you all :)  I have been using this non stop for 2 weeks now because to be honest up until now I have been 50/50 about this :)  Before I get down with my experiences with Makeup Academy's Pro Base Primer & Conceal Powder let me tell you a little about it first :)

Makeup Academy says:   A baked, silk touch colour correcting powder from MUA that transforms your complexion. Apply this powder to help even out skin tone and illuminate. Wear alone or over your makeup to instantly brighten!
The packaging is quite simple and in all honest nothing too exciting but when it comes to drugstore products packaging is not too important its more about the product itself.  You are getting 4g of product for £4/€5.57/$6.05 each
The one thing that caught my eye was the main ingredient in this product is Mica which is a very natural ingredient and used in mineral makeup alot :)  Mica is the name of a group of natural occurring earth minerals. As mentioned, it can be opalescent, sparkling or completely matte. Mica powder is simply a purified and crushed mineral which is mined from the earth.
Mica gives the impact, the silky texture, the gleam, that we all love so much in mineral makeup.  It’s reflective and refractive properties make mica a crucial ingredient in makeup.  Just thought I would share that important piece of information before I continue :)
In this powder you are getting four different shade in which you can use separately or all together :)
Yellow:  Is used to conceal out any darkness you have on your skin which is mainly around the eye area This works well for anyone who has olive and tanned skin
Purple:  This is used to to brighten up your dull skin
Peach:  This is used to also brighten up any darkness on your skin for all skin tones
Green:  Is used to get rid of any redness on your skin be it around the nose area or if you have natural redness on your cheeks aka Rosacea :)
Now obviously if you suffer with very very dark eyes or suffer with alot of redness you will need more than this powder to cover that up which I highly recommend applying whatever shade of concealer you need first be it again each shade of concealer does the same thing as each shade of powder here :) :)
Each one of these shades are almost matte but when swatches you will see a hint of sheen with each one of these :)  This of course is from the Mica Ingredient and you will be happy to know is the main reason that your complexion will look radiant :)
Each shade is very pigmented to my surprise to be honest :)  I am so surprised with how soft these powders are :)  They feel amazing :)   I am impressed with how finely milled the powder is which is one of the main things I look for in a face powder

So now for my actual experience with this powder.
First off its an amazing all over powder.  It sets my makeup beautifully without my makeup looking cakey or settling into my large pores and in a way slightly it does make my skin look brighter but as for covering up what its suppose to Im afraid it doesn't.  For instance I have dark circles and without using my usual brightener under my eyes this powder will not cover up.  I used the yellow powder along with my concealer for under my eyes and I say no difference :(  I do think its a great all over powder and that's literally what i am going to continue using it for I do find it more effective using all the shades together and sealing my foundation and concealer that way.  Sort of like a translucent powder but with benefits.
If you are looking for a setting powder that sets your makeup really well and brightens up your skin a little then go ahead and purchase this as the powder is so soft and a little goes a long way not only that, it doesn't cake up or settle into large pores and blemishes :)  If you are looking for this to work on your redness or dark circles I am afraid its a no no :)
I hope you found this review helpful
