e.l.f Studio Pressed Powder Review Mac Studio Fix Dupe?

e.l.f Says:  The Silky formula melts into the skin for adjustable coverage. Apply alone or over foundation for a flawlessly smooth and natural-looking finish. The portable makeup compact and sponge is convenient for on-the-go touchups.
Apply wet with a sponge for fuller coverage or dry for natural coverage with the sponge to create desired finish.

Hey everyone today i am reviewing the Studio Pressed Powders by e.l.f........They are £3.50/$3/€4 each and are available from eyeslipsface.co.uk or eyeslipsface.com.  The reason i have 3 here is because i ended up buying the first one which was too light for me and the other 2 on a 50% deal in which the 3rd one is perfect for me now but i know the 2nd one will be fine for me in the winter when i am paler :) :)  The Shades are "Sand, Buff and Caramel".  There are 6 shades available on the site the lightest is "Porcelian" then my 3 in the order they are then the last 2 are "Almond and Coco"
The Packaging
"Sand, Buff & Caramel"
Well i will start off with the outside of the package first, It is a simple black packaging the same as the rest of the studio like which i love as non of the product especially the powder ones stick  to the packaging......The packaging looks like new every time you use it.......there is also a little window in which you can see the colour of your product and it says "e.l.f pressed powder"  on the front in white......
When you open the package you are seeing what you see in the picture......Plus a nice handy little mirror especially handy for travelling.......underneath that if you lift the product you are getting a sponge type applicator (which i dont use).  When you lift the product to where the sponge is you will see just how much product you actually get which doesnt look to be a whole lot........you are getting 0.317 oz/9g per package ........

The Product & Shades :)
Ok I heard these were suppose to be almost Dupes of The Mac Studio Fix Powder and of course i had to see for myself.......And girls i am please to say that YES it is almost the dupe of the Mac Studio Fix Powder :) only smaller :) :) the only difference is the amount you are getting between the two :) :) I would say about 4 of the e.l.f Studio Pressed Powder would be the equavalent of 1 Mac Studio Fix but even at that you are saving money with e.l.f :) :)
Bet your happy you read this review lol :) :)
The textures between both are the same and when applied you see no difference between the two :) the shades are almost identical so if you are for example NC20 like me well shade " Sand" would be perfect for you .   At the moment because i got a little sun in the summer im using "Caramel".  But my tan wont be long fading away in our typical Irish weather :)

Sand
Buff
Caramel
Swatches in Normal Light of Sand, Buff & Caramel
My Overall Opinion
I am Pleasantly shocked with these powders i mean they are incredibly smooth, Apply beautifully.  They have great great coverage......This is a perfect finishing powder for over my foundation.....I mean it does exactly what my Mac Studio Fix powder does.....and there isnt even a difference between the two when you apply it.......I highly recommend to you all to try this i promise you wont be disappointed :) :) This is one of my top favourite products from e.l.f and i have also replaced My Mac Studio Fix Powder with the e.l.f Studio Pressed Powder indefinately like why pay more girls :) :)

So thats it girls

e.l.f Essential Lipsticks Review

e.l.f says:  Indulge your lips with long lasting color and shine. The moisture rich formula hydrates, conditions and softens on contact for silky smooth lips.  Apply to lips and blend in color for total lip saturation. Re-apply as often as desired.
Instantly beautiful, healthy-looking lips designed, formulated and tested by our professional team of makeup artists.
I purchased these on the 50% off deal eyeslipsface.co.uk was having i couldnt resist as i heard great things about these ..........They originally cost £1.50/$1/€1.70 each but i got them half price :) happy days once again........There are 6 shades available on the UK site so i decided to get all as i couldnt make up my mind which ones to choose hahaha TOTALLY ADDICTED :) so anyway on the US site they have 5 new shades which hopefully will come soon to the UK :)
But of course i do have 2 of them new shades in which i will show you in this review :) :)
 The Packaging
Ok so the packaging isnt exactly great i have to admit......You are simply getting a plastic tube of lipstick which is silver in colour.......You also see the little clear window near the middle which is great to see the shade of the lipstick you have.  Now i know what you are thinking .....YES it does look cheap and you surely wouldnt get away with saying you paid more for it but the packaging is in fact quite sturdy.......the lid stays intact too which is a bonus for such a cheap lipstick......
The Product
You are getting a nice amount of product which is one up for a cheap lipstick as in the past i have bought cheap lipsticks and only got half of what e.l.f gives in these.....are all super creamy now i mean SUPER creamy......When you apply them they dont feel like a lipstick but more like a tinted lip balm.  The Fact that they are so creamy it sometimes leaves it harder to apply to your lips as it can easily go on a bit messy i mean no matter how careful you are you can tend to over the line a little so there is a pointer for you..........Another thing is that they have a slight scent to them i was trying to figure out for ages what the scent reminded me of but all i can come up with is they smell kind off sweet but not overpowering also the scent doesnt stay too long which is good

Shades & Swatches
Posh
Posh:  Thi is a beautiful bright wearable red with a tiny bit of pink undertone to it.  Very pigmented.....I think this is why is wearable even for my Irish skin tone.....This applys beautifully and so smoothly its best applied with a brush to get an even application.......this is very moisturising but i do find it will tend to bleed a little so best apply a liner or lip lock with this :)
Fantasy
Fantasy:  This is your perfect everyday lipstick......Its a Beautiful nude/brown shade......a perfect MLBB lippie applies smoothly and is super creamy love it
Seductive
Seductive:  Look How beautiful this shade is.........again this a a lovely wearable natural pink shade....Perfect for everyday wear it applies smoothly.....Its matte and glossy not hugely pigmented but enough to give you a pretty pink look
Gypsy
Gypsy:  This is another highly pigmented lipstick......This is a lovely berry/pink shade not too strong but pigmented enough for one application......this too is a lovely shade even for my skin tone......one thing i found about this lipstick is its sort of like a stain like when i take it off my lips even with makeup remover you can still see a little of it on my lips.......but its smooth and easy to apply again i apply this with a lip brush for an even application
Classy
Classy:  This is said to be the dupe of "Mac Angel" lipstick............This a a mauvy/pink shade.....This is a little thicker in constancy than the rest of the lipsticks i got but it does apply better than the rest.....it does feel lovely on the lips and i love the fact again it suits my skin tone :)
Voodoo
Voodoo:  This is a more brick red shade.......This again is highly pigmented and a little goes a long way.......Its not as strong a some of the more brick red shades that is available but strong enough to were on an event or night out......

Introducting 2 new shades :)
New from the US site "Flirtatious & Charming"
I managed to get these of my trusted from from ebay as i have mentioned her before she is brilliant......These are no different in packaging and in fact the consistency is no different either so i shall go on with the shades and swatches shall i :) :)
"Flirtatious"
Flirtatious:  This is a beautiful shade at first i was saying to myself" oh man this shade is bright" lol but when applied it actually isnt as bright as it looks in the tube.....This is a beautiful bubblegum pink......this is extra creamy and smooth medium pigmentation.........this is alot more creamy than the ones i got from the uk site......and of course this broke while applied.....but i cant fault the shade at all :)
"Charming"
Charming:  This is another everyday shade.......Its a pretty nuetral shade with pink undertones more pink than fantasy.....I like this shade also as it gives me the MLBB (My Lips But Better) look :)
My overall opinion
Overall opinion is that this is the best cheap lipstick i have ever tried in my life......Yes there are a good few cons but thats only to do with the packaging and the fact that the lipstick is so cream that they break but if you dont mind that well your laughing meaning your are going to be delighted with these........The pigmentation on these really surprised me and the scent on them are not that bad plus the scent wears off after a while so thats good......My advice to you is if you are going to use the highly pigmented one your best applying them with a brush.

Plus these are quite handy to depot.  This is exactly what i plan to do in the next few days so if you would like me to show you how please comment below :).

Well thats it ladies i hope you found this helpful and if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask......I always reply........also dont forget to enter my giveaway click this link to view my video MY GIVEAWAY....

e.l.f Beauty School 3pc Eyelid Primer Review

e.l.f says:  Use the Eyelid Primer available in Nude, Pearl or Champagne prior to makeup application to get longer-lasting and crease-proof eyeshadow. You can wear it alone or on your eyelid as a crease-proof eyeshadow to brighten and even skin tone for perked up eyes or dab it on your brow bone as a shimmery highlighter.
Well Hello there my lovely Cailin Bans.........hope you are all well :) :)

As you can see today i am reviewing the e.l.f Beauty School 3 pc eyelid Primer collection which only arrived on the UK Site in August......I was super excited to try these as i love love love the e.l.f Primer from the essential line........I got these on the 50% deal but these originally cost £3.50/$3/€4 each........I have these a good month and i have been using them non stop so on with my review :) :)

The Packaging and Product

So as i mentioned about this is an eyelid primer collection and in this you are getting 3 different primers
  • Nude
  • Pearl
  • Champagne
Each primer is half the size of the Primers about (2.3g) each,  you buy on their own which are £1.50 but i love the size of these they are so handy for travelling........The Tubes are the same as the bigger sized tubes.....They are a soft plastic tube with a hard plastic lid.  Some people complain it looks cheap but i say they look pretty funky in my language lol......
Nude:  Is your normal eyelid primer....Its a skin tone shade primer that is hugely popular from the e.l.f site.......It works amazingly well.......I love this Primer :) :)  This is obviously my favourite out of the lot but thats simply because i have been using this for so long :)
Pearl:  This is a lovely white shade with glitter.......This is alot thicker in consistancy but blends out sheer like the nude one........Its said to be great for a highlight under your brow as well as brightening up your eyeshadows ........I did find that there is alot of glitter in this.....I certainly wouldn't use this as a highlight under the brow but it does look really well on the inner corner of your eyes and it does brighten up your eyeshadows....even if you have a favourite matte eyeshadow that you would like to see with a bit of glitter this is perfect for that.
Champagne:  Hmmmmmm this really is different.....Its a light Taupe shade with shimmer to it.....At first i thought oh no i dont like it...... I know in the picture it looks a bit off but actually when blended out it looks nearly the same as nude only with shimmer......This is perfect for any brown, neutral bronze shades but for any other shades it doesnt really work too well........
My Overall Opinion
As i said before my favourite one out of the Pack is the Nude (sheer) eyelid primer in which you can buy on its own for £1.50/$1/€1.70 each.  The nude one is brilliant it doesn't crease and keeps your eyeshadow vibrant.
The Pearl and Champagne eyelid primer im 50/50 on these two i mean yes they look good but i found they are alot thicker in consistancy than the nude one...........they blend out sheer and are easy to blend but the only doubt i have is will they dry out or form thicker in the tube after a while....I honestly dont see them lasting the 12 months it states they will last on the box but i could be wrong.  I will keep you updated on that one
Ther Pearl one was slightly too glittery to be honest to use......and the Champagne one as i stated above can really only be used with warm shades but doesnt work with any other colours it also changed the texture of the eyeshadows making it harder blend......so overall the set is a no no for me i will not be purchasing it again....I would rather buy the Nude(sheer) one on its own.

Well thats it from me today everyone have you got this set? what do you think of it?

Recipe for Chocolate Pavalova

Hi there everyone :) Have you go a sweet tooth :) do you like chocolate and cream and strawberry's????? MMMMMMMMM me too so i have come up with the most delicious Chocolate Pavalova you will ever taste you wont want to share it believe me :)

My Creation :)
Ingredients
6 Large Egg White (Room Temperature)
1/4 cream tartar
1 1/4 (240g) Castor Sugar
1 teaspoon white vinegar/1tsp Vanilla essence
1 ts Cornstarch (cornflour)
3 tablespoons (20g) Coco Powder
 2oz (55g) Chocolate Chopped
topping
1 cup (240mls) Heavy whipping cream or ordinary whipping cream or the low fat cream whatever you desire
1 tablespoon Sugar
Fresh strawberries or fruit on top

Method :)
  • Preheat oven to 130 degrees and place rack in the centre of the oven.....Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and draw a circle about 8 inchs(20cm) circle on paper
  • To make the pavalova:  Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form.  Slowly Add caster sugar SLOWLY until meringue is thick and glossy and sugar is dissolved.....check this by getting a bit of the meringue between two fingers and rub your fingers together if you feel sugar grains you need to whisk more.
  • Using a spatula fold in the vinegar + vanilla gently....sift in the coca + cornflour on top of meringue......lastly fold in the chocolate (chopped)
  • Gently spread the pavalova inside the circle your drew on the paper (the reason i say gently all the time is the less air that goes into the meringue the better the finished pavalova with look and the lighter it will be) smooth the edges
  • Bake for 1 and half hours or until the outside is dry....let it cool with the oven door open (Never take a pavalova straight out of the oven or it will craic everywhere and collapse on you)
  • Just before serving whip the cream and sweeten with sugar then mound the cream into the centre of the Pavalova decorate with fruit
And VVVWAAAALLLAAAA you have your own home baked Chocolate Pavalova
you will find this is quite luscious or but the meringue just melts in your mouth

If you prefer Pavalova without chocolate just repeat the ingredients above but without the chocolate :)

Chocolate Pavalova
This is my Plain No Chocolate Pavalova :))

Well thats it from me everyone let me know how you get on if you try this recipe and i hope you enjoy i know i do :) :)

Review e.l.f Kabuki Face Brush

This new anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Our handy and easy to use Kabuki Brushes provide a light to full coverage on your face or body to ensure a flawless finish. The compact brush is perfectly sized to allow for precise and controlled application of bronzer, powder, or a highlighter on your skin.
*Vegan Friendly

I ordered this off eyeslipsface.co.uk as part of my 50% off haul i got about  months ago....I was aiming to buy the e.l.f Kabuki Body Brush but it was out of stock so i opt for this one for now.......The Kabuki Face Brush costs £5/$5/€6 each.....
I am going to load up a few pictures and then tell you about the brush and what i think :) :)

This has to be the cutest brush i have every purchased if you know me at all i love little cute things (hence my 5 babies lol) but i couldnt help but think the minute i opened the box "OMG how dam cute is this" I think the people in my house thought i was gone CRAAAZZZZY lol
Anyway :) I have heard so mixed reviews about this brush but i really dont see why.....Yes its small but i hate Kabuki brushes that are too big for your face and pick up too much product....I have one at home i purchased a long time ago for my face Girls seriously the brush is the size of my face lol

You are getting a Small brush with beautiful synthetic hair bristles that are soooooo soft you literally want to carry it around all day just brushing your face anytime i use this it practically makes me sleepy :)

This brush is so perfect for your everyday mineral powders or pressed powders.  It picks up just the right amount of product.  If you have a more rounder face this too could work as a blush brush but prefarably i wouldnt use it for that purpose......I highly highly recommend to you to get one for your collection i have to go buy 2 more for my twinnies (aged 2) as they kinda got the feel of this one and screamed for it.......and they love love love soft cuddly things.......

Oh and i washed this before i used it and i havent lost one single hair :) :)

Well i hope this review was helpful i think this was the quickest review i ever made haha HAPPY DAYS.  But i think i got all the info you need on this brush i have no faults whatsoever and i cant wait to buy the Kabuki Body Brush now :)
