LIFE: Benefits of been a Mum

Hey my beauties I hope you are all good today :) :) 

Since my kiddies have been off school i have been enjoying some brilliant times with them and for the past week i have been asking myself "Is it possible to love your children too much"  Like I literally eat sleep and breath for my kiddies.  I never really spend time away from them only once every 2 months to go shopping for the day but even at that I'm talking about them for most of the day.  Dont get me wrong i love having me time and some days i wish i had more me time as it is good for you after all but while im away i only think of them.  Some people have told me its unhealthy some have said thats not normal to me i think its what mums do best.  Mum's are mums from the moment that egg in her womb is fertilised.  I have heard so many people only complain about been a mum (including myself for some moments in my life) like for instance having no money, having less friends, not getting out with your friends, not been able to leave the country etc but deep down they are only put on stand still in my eyes and there is so so many benefits of been a mum These are the benefits i get from been a mum 

1.  Love:  

No matter what there is always unconditional love in your home when you have children.  The love you feel is so warm, cosy and magical.  Its almost like your in the clouds floating with the amount of love that your children have for you and what you have for your children.  No matter how many arguments you have with your kiddies they forgive and forget.  If you ground them they understand and dont hold grudges.  They tell you they love you when you least expect it but need to hear it.  They sense when you are upset and the simple thing like picking a "Flower" aka leaf from the garden will make you smile. awwwwww tears in my eyes remembering this today :)  No matter what age you are you will always love your parents even if you have had the worst ever argument and havent spoken to them in so long there is always that love its the same if you are the parent no matter what your child does that love will never die.

2.  You can be yourself:  

No child of yours or any child for that matter cares if your hair is standing up, if you look like the walking dead first thing in the morning, they dont care if you stay in your pj's all morning they love you no matter what way you look.  You will never ever get judged by your children no matter what you do, say or what way you look.  

3.  You can be a child again:  

Oh yeah i love this one hehehehe Kids make you feel alive they make you young, they make you do the silliest things, they make you pull the weirdest faces that if you pulled them at an adult they would think you need locking up,.  By golly have i done some childish things with my kids on the street in front of everyone hahahaha awwww i love it.  I have often been caught jumping on the bed and been told off by my own kids hahaha dont be afraid to be a kid again because your know what......Thats what keeps us young.  Do silly things who cares The sound of laughter, the tears of laughter and the fun you have with your kids is all so worth it :) 

4.  Imagination:  

When was the last time you used your imagination ( i bet you are thinking when your were a child)  well when you have children you have to have imagination you have to think up of games, stories, things to do etc and its fun it brings me back to my childhood all the time.  My children get entertained and i make good memories for them when they are older.  Remember your child is only a child for a short time so make their childhood special when you can.  You dont need to spend money to have fun with your kids just use your imagination children love that :)  Even baking a cake and decorating it yourself with the help of your kids takes imagination :) 

My mothers day present from my kids picked by them all  so proud they even thought of picking me flowers on the day without anyone telling them to 

5.  Proudness:  

Wow i have had some amount of that i tell you and the rush you get from knowing your child has done something good that you thought them is unbelievable.  When people come back to you telling you your child is a credit to you gives such warmth inside.  Its amazing how much kids take in and if you lead them by example they will surely follow in your footsteps after all your child lives up to you wants to be like you does what you do says what you say.  So its never too early to start yes its hard work but when they do something you found hard to teach them without you telling them THATS WHAT MAKE YOU FORGET ABOUT HOW HARD IT WAS AND MAKES YOU THE PROUDEST PERSON IN THE PLANET!!

6.  A reason to get up in the mornings:  

Oh boy oh boy there is mornings i have been woke up at 4 in morning to get up and stay awake for the day.  There was a full year where i only got 1 hours sleep at night as i had to feed my twins every hour.  To be honest if i hadnt kids i wouldnt have done that but when you have kids no matter how hard it is its all so worth it when you see their smiles when you see them growing and when you see their cute little eyes looking at you with complete innocence you forget the tiredness automatically.  

7.  Matureness (if that is a word): 

 I have seen this in alot of people both men and especially in women.  From the moment your child is born you instance change your view in life you instantly become more mature.  Mature in everything be it thinking about life making plans for the future life in general you might not even notice it yourself but sometimes i notice i sound more like my grandmother with somethings i come out with where as before if my grandmother said something i would be tutting her saying awwww silly old woman (sorry nana :) ) but now i see some of her little lectures are 100% right (thats not saying you have to have a baby to become mature lol) no no but you find yourself maturing more whenever you do because you have a new life to think about you have a human been you have to protect raise and care for :) 

8.  Strength:  

This is surely one I have gotten more of since becoming a mum.  I have alot more strength in everything i do.  I have alot more strength in standing up for what i believe in for the sake of my children.  Sometimes i even wonder myself where the strength comes from but to be honest I THINK THE STRENGTH COMES FROM THE LOVE YOUR HAVE FOR YOUR CHILDREN.  Like for instance people have always asked me where i got the strength to deal with my baby been diagnosed with cancer, to be honest i hadnt a clue but replied "I just had to be strong for my baby thats what kept me going"  If you are strong your children will be strong :) :) I love my new strength and i find its rubbing off on my children :) Whenever your child is sick or something goes wrong you always seem to find the strength within to deal with what ever situation it is at the time :) 

Oh my goodness i have just noticed how much i have written :) I could write forever about this subject but I wont dont worry :)  As you can see thats only the smallest amount of how i see what benefits you get from been a mum.  I love it.  Yes its very stressful yes its definitely the hardest job in the world but at the end of the day carrying, raising and watching a life that you brought into the world is the most amazing precious experience anyone could ever experience in their lives and for people who have the misfortune of not been able to have children of their own 

don't feel bad there are plenty of children out there who need the love you have for them and i bow down to you for that as that is one of the most amazing things you could do for a child is give him or her the life he or she deserves :) :) 

So i will leave it at that everyone as you have probably fallen asleep by now

ELF Studio Baked Eyeshadow Review

Hey My Beauties How are you all doing :) :) 

Today I am showing you all My selected e.l.f Studio Baked Eyeshadow's I got Recently :)

 Basically this is Part 2 of my review on my haul i got from my good friend

I am extra excited about this review because i have been loving these eyeshadows since i got them.  They are completely different to the Studio eyeshadows normally sold by e.l.f 

These eyeshadows are only available on the US SIte and cost $3 each, there is 6 shades to choose from i chose 3 to start off with :) 

You are getting 3.5g of product per eyeshadow which is pretty good for the price :) 

The Packaging is the same as the baked blush and bronzers I Love the way the lids are see through and show the product as it saves having to open loads of them to get the right colour like some of the studio line products.  

One thing i have to say is e.l.f better be bringing out more shades because these are going to be a real hit believe me in fact they are currently sold out in the US site which says alot :)  e.l.f.co.uk let me know that it will be about 2 months before they get the baked collection in so at least you have an idea what they are like before they arrive eh?

So enough jibber jabber and on with the swatches 

Burnt Plum:   Oh boy oh boy just look at that shade isnt it just to die for.  When i first seen this in the package i instantly fell in love with it.  Then when i swatched it i was in awwwwwwwww.  To be honest this shade wouldnt be a plum in my eyes but more like a burgundy with brown and red undertones to it.  It has very tiny gold shimmer particles which barely show up on the eye.  I love this shade its definitely a favourite of mine 

This swatch taken is just one swipe dry can you see how pigmented it is and believe me the intensity of this shade wet is incredible 

Bark:   Well now this shade is your typical chocolate brown with golden shimmer.  Anyone who likes their neutrals which i bet is everyone will love this shade in particular again this shade is incredibly pigments wet and dry.  I love wearing this as an everyday shade 

Toasted:  This is a lovely bronze gold shade :)  Again very pigmented both dry and wet.  This looks fantastic all over the lid with a matte brown in the crease and a chocolate brown in the outer corner.  Surprisingly it makes my hazel eyes pop especially when the sun shines on them :) 

Overall I am amazed by these shadows.  I totally expected these to be disappointing and that is the reason i only picked 3 to start off with.  You can imagine my surprise when i swatched and used these first.  They feel really soft and creamy.  They are not one bit chalky.  They glide on so nicely and with a good primer they last all day.  They blend really well and are so easy to work with they are actually easier to work with than the normal studio line eyeshadows.  

I love them and will definitely be purchasing the remaining 3 shades without a doubt 

I cannot wait for you all to try them 

Well done to e.l.f for bringing out this collection and hopefully they will come out with more shades for use to play with :)

ELF Studio Baked Blush & Bronzer Review

Hey my beauties how are you all doing 

Boy oh boy have i been excited to review these for you all especially for all you UK e.l.fettes as these little treasures are not on the UK e.l.f site yet :) They are not long released in the US.  How did i get my hands on them i hear you ask?  Well if you are a long time follower of my blog you will know that i have a friend who owns an ebay store from America, she sells e.l.f products and every so often if i see a number of new arrivals on the US site and the raging want inside me gets the better of me (lol) i write to her and ask whenever she is ordering again could she get them for me.  She is so nice to do this and normally she does get these new items in anyway.  I have posted up a few hauls that i got from her but for those of you who are new to my blog here is a link to her store

So As you can see i was a good little girl and didn't go crazy this time hehe.  I decided to split the review up because i don't want to have you all reading forever as i can get a little crazy writing when I am excited about new products :) :) 

So this review is about the 2 baked blushes and 1 bronzer i purchased :) 

Dont they look pretty :) 

I personally love the look of baked blushes and i love how they work.  So you can imagine my excitement when i realise e.l.f started making baked blushes, bronzers and eyeshadows.  Now i actually done a little research before choosing each one because i wanted to purchase shades that i will most likely use instead of ones i will end up giving away.  I looked for swatches in which there was not alot of as they were only released when i ordered them.

With the blushes there are 4 shades to choose from:  Starting from the lightest Peachy cheeky, Pinktastic, Passion Pink & Rich Rose and they cost $3 each for 6g of product on the US Site 

E.l.f states:  The soft and shimmering color of our Baked Blush creates a natural healthy glow. Baked in an oven, these blushes offer rich pigmentation for a beautiful effect. The long-lasting formula provides a gorgeous, smooth and even application. Infused with active key ingredients Jojoba, Rose, Sunflower, Apricot and Grape to nourish and hydrate the skin. Apply this shimmering color dry for sheer pigmentation, or use a damp brush or sponge for a more vibrant effect.

First Blush I picked was Peachy Cheeky.  Its looked fabulous in the picture and site but looks even more beautiful in person :) This is a peachy shade with slight light brownish veins going through it.  Oh my Goodness I'm so glad i bought this one in particular as it gives such a fantastic glow to the cheek.  Even it the slight shimmer it has it certainly doesn't appear to be shimmery on the cheek.  It looks so natural I love it :)  I love a blush that acts like a blush and highlight at the same time :) this is surely one of those blushes 

The Fact that Peach Cheeky is a little on the lighter side i found that it last about 5 hours and started to fade but the remains lasted until i took my make-up off.  To be honest that's very good for a cheaper product in my eyes :) This shade suits my skin tone nicely and for anyone with darker skin tone i think this would work more as a highlight :) :) 

Rich Rose well now this looked like the darkest one out of the 4 on the site plus I like Rosy blushes on days i want to look more flushed in a healthy looking way.  This surely is dark in the package i was kinda thinking maybe too dark when i seen it first.  As you can see by the photo this shade is a medium brown with a coral/rose shade going through it aka veins.  I must admit it doesn't look as pretty in the package as Peachy Cheeky.   It doesnt look pretty swatched and on the cheek believe me :) 

This blush is very very pigmented.  One swipe of the brush using a light hand does me fine.  This is a blush that would also look amazing on darker skin tones and well suited for the winter months when you want the Rosy flushed look.  I love this but i think out of the two Peachy Cheeky gets my vote :) :) 

Next up is the one and only bronzer i got which is.......

The Same as the blushes the bronzers cost $3 each for 6g of product.  There is 3 bronzers to choose from starting with the lightest:  St Lucia (which i heard was super super light), Maui & Los Cabos.  To be honest the other two looked a little on the light side so i just went with Los Cabos just to be safe :) :) 

Now normally i am not one to go for a shimmery bronzer for during the day by no means i am normally a matte bronze by day and a quite happy to use a shimmer bronze at night sorta gal :) 

As you can see there is shimmer in this bronzer actually I'm sure there is in everyone one of them.  To be honest you notice it more in the package than you do on the swatches and on the face.  I was actually quite surprised by this.  This bronzer is more of a Light/Medium brown with finely milled gold shimmer.  I have actually used this for contouring during the day alot since i got it and it works really really well.  You can actually not notice any shimmer in my swatch below  which is taken in direct sunlight.

Overall im excited that e.l.f has finally bought out baked blushes and bronzers.  

The both blushes i got i am very pleased with and can see myself using these on a regular basis as i have been since i got them.  They feel extremely soft and not at all chalky.  They are buildable and stay put for most of the day.  In my eyes they could even be the new favourite blush from the studio line by alot of you e.l.f fans out there.  

The bronzer on the other hand would maybe disappoint alot of you for two reasons 

A) The darkest shade is just pigmented enough for someone who is fair to medium skin tone which is disappointing for anyone who has medium to dark skin tone.  

B) The bronzer would not be as pigmented as the blushes as it needs a little building before you get the payoff you want.  Keep in mind you can use these wet so if you wanted darker well you could easily dampen the brush for better pigmentation but its works for me to build it up using it dry.   

What i love about both is that they are not one bit chalky or messy, plus the packaging is actually quite sturdy for a $3 product in fact one of my blushes were put to the ultimate test 2 days ago by my almost 3 year old son who decided he wanted to try some of what mammy was using and dropped it to the floor TALK ABOUT NEARLY HAVING HEART FAILURE LOL but it was fine thank goodness.

MUA Glamour Nights Palette Review

Hey everyone Hope you are all well :) 

Today i have another MUA review for you :) 

I have this palette a while now and actually the first time i got it i forgot about it for a week or two as i got it free with other MUA purchases i got.  There was a deal going that if you spent £4.50 or more you got the "Glamour Nights" Palette for free.

I am quite a fan of MUA eyeshadows especially the single eyeshadows.  Its astonishing how pigmented and how smooth they are for the price so i was really looking forward to trying out "Glamour Nights" 

I am not new to trying out MUA eyeshadow palettes as i have already tried the

 Immaculate Collection Palette in which i got at an amazing deal and quite liked 

The Packaging on these palettes are not exactly brilliant.  I find them very flimzy and can imagine if they were dropped they would break quite easily but for the price thats totally expected.   As you can see this palette comes with 12 eyeshadows.  This is obviously a more evening to night time palette with shades to suit evening and night time looks but there is a Glamour Days palette with more neutral shades for day time.  So there is a mixture of matte and shimmer/frosty shade to this palette.  

Starting with the first row 

A Matte White- This is very sheer as you can see in the photo i tried a few swatches for it to show up on the photo and even at that it bearly shows up 

A Shimmery Purple with black undertones This is very pigmented but a little chalky 

A Dark Forest green with tiny specks of shimmer is very pigmented a little goes a long way one of my favourites 

A Very Metallic Silver Again a very pigmented but chalky shade 

A Brown grey This is not very pigmented i found it hard to work with 

A Chocolate brown with shimmer this too is very pigmented and you can have fallout with this 

The Second row

A very dark brown (almost black) This is a matte and semi pigmented you do need to build up this shade 

A Bright gold with shimmer This is quite a pigmented shade and a little goes a long way 

A beautiful shimmery green its appears metallic on the eye i love this colour and love using it as a liner for a pop of colour in the day time 

A Matte Purple This too needs a little building up before you see its true potential another lovely colour 

A Fuchsia Pink with shimmer wow this shade is very pigmented and beautiful a little goes a long way 

A very sheer pale pink with shimmer this is almost invisible to the eye to be honest i would use this more for a "no makeup day" eye colour than night time 

Over all these shades a beautiful and i think the palette was well put together.  The matte shades are a little on the less pigmented side but when built up look great, the shimmery/metallic shades are more pigmented some creating a little fall out.  They are easy to work with a easy to blend.  With a good primer these eyeshadow will last all night long or if worn in the day will last all day.  I think at the end of the day most of these eyeshadows are great a couple a little disappointing but well worth £4 well well worth it.  I have been using this palette quite alot lately and i enjoy experimenting with it :)

Nina's Wednesday Whispers Week 3

Hey my beauties how are you all doing :) 

Today is Week 3 of Wednesday Whispers but first of all i would love to say to the people who have written to me Thank you so much for placing your trust in me to come out with you situations and problems.  I know its very hard to trust people and im honoured you feel comfortable to talk to me.  I am so glad i have heard feedback from some of you too and the feedback has been great its so comforting :) 

This week i have one email to share with you all and boy oh boy i know for a fact some of you have either went through it or are going through it so some of you might relate to this :) 

Hi Nina, 

I started dating ''Tom'' about a year and a half ago now, We got together when my life was in a very different place,I was in college and life was free and easy. We would meet up occasionally and it very quickly went from friendship to relationship. ''Tom'' was rather inexperienced he had never been in a proper relationship and had not gone far with a girl before. I always feel like I am the more independent one like I could go a week without meeting up and be fine but he seems to get more clingy and misses me terribly, I wish i felt like that too. I feel like Im too experienced for him or something... 

A year and a half down the line the same issues I had at the beginning are now coming to head. Ive tried to tell him my feelings but Im so on the fence as to break up or continue on together. 
Before ''Tom'' I was the type of girl who would casually date with a few men at a time nothing serious just young romances and what not, I have lots of experience in dating so when ''Tom'' and 
I got together I found it hard because he was so nervous even just kissing me. I guess I enjoyed the challenge of winning him over and making him mine, Once I did the passion started to fade. We live in different counties so when we meet it is always in busy houses and we don't get 2 seconds alone. When I now kiss ''Tom'' I feel nothing at all. I try so hard to convince myself I feel something,but I dont. It really upsets me as to everyone else he seems like Mr perfect. To me though I need more than that prince charming type, I need someone who excites me and makes me feel excited to see them.

I dont know what to do, we have been together for so long that the friend side of our relationship is amazing,he is truly the best friend I have ever had and is always there for me during times of trouble. Im worried Ill continue on in this relationship probably end up in marriage and then be so stuck into it that there is no climbing out. On the other hand Im scared I will loose the best friend I ever had and if he then finds another girl my heart will be crushed. I just feel this emptiness and all I do is cry and cry.  I dont want to hurt him because I care about him but Im slowly feeling like Im giving up my happiness for his. 

Im sorry If this email dosent make a word of sense my head is so messed up I cant even think straight.

Hey hunny First of all let me correct something......You are not messed up!!!! your are just confused.  Now its very simple for someone just to come out with a straight up answer in this situation but its not so easy when you are the one going through this.  

Girl my advice is straight up in this situations and the advice is YOU NEED TO END THIS.   Yours and his happiness is whats more Important here and you mentioned that everyone likes him blah blah yeah everyone likes him including yourself but your are the one going out with him.  Its sound to be you have put more than enough effort into trying to make this relationship work and it hasnt and you have become even more unhappy.  I know you dont want to break his heart because of the fact you were is "1st" but you will be breaking his heart even more staying with him as his feelings for you will get deeper and deeper and that would be even more cruel.  Just sit down with him and explain your both want different things.  Tell him you have enjoyed your time with him but would prefer if you both were friends instead.  You have a future to plan out and a life to live and the longer you are stuck in this dilemma the more life passes you by.  There is no easier way to end a relationship he will take it hard but he will get over it like everyone in the world does.  Let his friends know what's happened and let them help him get over the whole situation.

Short but sweet this time but if any of you are in that situation or something like it remember to take advantage of your friends talk to someone about how you feeling.  If you are in a relationship you are not happy in why stay there Stop worrying about what people think and how they will think of you if you end it after all they too will get over it after a week.  At the end of the day its your happiness thats more important!!!!! If your staying in a relationship to suit others its like your living a false life and thats a horrible feeling
