Irish YouTube & Bloggers Meet Up in Cork Ireland

Picture taken at Cork Train Station :)
Hey My Beauties.  How are you all doing :)
If you follow me on facebook you would have known by now that on the May Bank Holiday weekend I went to an Irish Youtube & Bloggers Meet up in Cork City Ireland (which was my first time in Cork and first night away from my babies might i Add) I was going to meet up with some of the girls i met up with in the Previous Meet up in Dublin  and i was also getting a chance to meet up with some who could not make it last time.  EXCITING!!!!!!
So i decided to being my sister along as she has been planning on starting her own blog up but needs a little boost (not that im enough lol) but the experience of chatting with other bloggers and meet up might give her an extra boost and of course to give her a break normal life too lol .
So we headed of on Saturday for out 4 - 5 hours journey to Cork.  First getting the bus to Dublin then getting the train.  We were late for the train but it actually worked out for the best as we realised we were then taking the same train as another youtuber/blogger Sarah aka Adoreabubbles.   She is lovely as i had met her before and always chatting to her.
This is ourselves on the train :)
So we set on our journey to Cork which surprisingly went by very quick (must of been my superb company eh girls hehehehe) ah no all 3 of us have the same personality so we had great chats and laughs :) :)
So we arrived in Cork and went our separate ways as my sister and I were staying in different accommodation.  We couldnt wait to see our accommodation as i booked an apartment so that another blogger Megan Rose could stay with us :)  She was arriving a few hours after we were. The place we were staying in was Called The Killarney Lodge and we got a lovely welcome.  We were well impressed with the apartment too it was so homely and comfy we were thrilled
You like my photo work :)
Sooooooo Dinner was not until 9 oclock so Sarah (my sister) and I decided to go into the City which was only 5 minutes away from us for a browse :)  We took a look at some shops including Debenhams :) :) where i seen a stall that i just couldnt pass as it had an item on it thats been on my wishlist for like forever.  It was the Urban decay counter and there infront of me as the NAKED PALETTE 1 awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Then my sister came out with this amazing idea "Nina Why dont we go halves for the naked palette" i could have jumped on her she made sense though as i mostly do her makeup for her and she said it would be great to have one expensive makeup product to my collection lol.  So i agreed yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee We own the Naked Palette !!!!!!!!!!!! I couldnt believe it !!!!!!
So Sarah (adoreabubbles) and Lauren Marie Walsh another blogger met up with us in the Store but i didnt get much time with Lauren as she had to go :( maybe next time Lauren but she seemed lovely :)
Sarah(adoreabubbles), Lauren and myself :)
Nails of the night
So time was ticking and we had to get back to get ready.  When we arrived the Lovely Megan was there and she was just as lovely in person as she was on her blog it was my first time meeting her and we got on so well.  We all got ready and headed to meet the other youtubers/bloggers who were already in the town.
We were meeting up in Soho Restraint which i have to say looked amazing at night.  Our table was ready and we all sat delighted we were finally together to chat.  It was amazing seeing everyone in front of me and i have to say meeting Sineady Cady aka The Makeup Chair for the 1st time was like a dream as she was one of the 1st Irish beauty gurus i had started watching and i love her channel/ blog and chats with her online but seeing her in person was brilliant she is just as beautiful inside and out!!!!!!!!
All the ladies looked amazing and i mean amazing!!!!!!! Their outfits were to die for :)
We were all given goodie bags which was exciting i will do a haul on what i got in it on a video :)
All of us waiting for our food :)
My lovely meal :)
Sarahs (my sisters)  lovely meal

Sarah (my sister) and I

So after our meal we went to Long Island Cocktail Bar  and ordered a crazy frozen strawberry Cocktail which contained a WHOOOOOLE lotta hair rising alcohol in it lol
The experience was sort of remember able to be honest we couldnt really hear each other because of the booming music and crazy dancers lol but it was nice.

Some of the lovely ladies decided the night was over for them we said out goodbyes and some of us went to another place called The Bailey Bar which was more spacious and better music but after a half hour the night was over for us too :) :)
The next day Myself and Sarah checked out and met with Sarah (adoreabubbles) and hit the shops that were open :) the one shop i just had to hit was the one and only Penneys which i spent an absolute fortune hehehehe but its everything i needed i promise!!!! I will do a haul on what i got from there too.
We spent a couple of hours with the lovely Jen (who i think is crazy in a good way of course lol ) and then headed to the train station for our journey home
Both my sister and I had the most amazing time in Cork its such a beautiful place and its such a pity we had no time to see the site etc.  So little time for such a big City but from what we experienced we would definately go again.  We had a brilliant time with all the beauiful ladies and they are all just as amazing in person as they are on their channels and blogsWe all have so much in common and get on so well and im proud to call them my friends
To see more photos check out my facebook page :) :) I really cant wait for the next meet up :)

Darling Girl Watercolor Paint Pots Review & Swatches

Well hello there everyone
Todays post as promised is a review and swatches on the Darling Girl Watercolor Paint Pots I got from my lovely haul that i showed you all lately if you missed that haul you can view it here.
Now first of all what i love about the Darling girl website is you get a full description of what you are buying so you have a great idea of what you are getting when you receive them you know exactly what to expect.
So when i seen these watercolor paint pots i thought instantly i had to try them.  The colours on the site looked fab.  Now before you go wondering are these like the Mac paint pots or the Maybelline colour tattoo eyeshadows i will tell you now no they are not but Darling girl states as follows:
Watercolor Paint Pots are a multi-purpose product.  They are a nice cream-type base that can be used as a cream eye shadow. They also work as a base for other shadows, as well as make a pretty good eye liner.
Watercolor Paint Pots have a soft creamy consistency; they are not water proof, but once set, they are pretty smudge proof.  They have almost a cream-to-powder effect.

For each pot you are getting 3g of product for $5.25 which is pretty cheap for the amount of product you are getting

These are the shades i finally chose to buy lol it took me a half hour to decide.....as there are 15 to choose from.  I was well impressed with Susan's girlie designs on the pots soooooo cute.
The Shades

My first shade is "Peony for your thoughts" which is a lovely light baby pink with gold shimmer to it :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next is "Starry night" which is a lovely pearl black :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another is "Copper Canyon" is a sheer but buildable peachy coppery shade with shimmer

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next is "Pyramid of Skulls" now this is one of my favourites.....Its a very pigmented Burgundy with shimmer a little of this goes a long way

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lastly (for now) is "Wildly Dancing Children" which is an eggplant shade with red flash shimmer beautiful :)

This is them altogether in natural light dont they look amazing :)
My overall opinion
I absolutely love these shade they are amazing.  The consistency is very thick and a little of these goes a long way, 3g might not seem like alot but believe me they will last you a long long time.  Be sure to use a primer with these as stated they are not waterproof and are more for the idea of been a base than worn on their own.  I have put them to the test worn alone and they do last a good 4 to 5 hours on them before starting to smudge.  These are amazing under eyeshadows even for cheap eyeshadows that are not so pigment these paint pots with bring out the intensity of them.  i applied with bother my fingers and brush to see which is better and i have to admit you get alot more out of using a brush to apply.  The best thing about these is that they dont stay creamy they go from cream to powder which is even better as i hate the wet feeling on my lids.  When dried in they wont smudge with a touch but if you did rub your eye they will surely smudge.
These are fantastic as an eyeliner also and once set with an eyeshadow or translucant powder they stay all day but only on the top lash line for me i have not tried it on the bottom lash line yet
I am 100% going to buy more shades of these paint pots they are fun to play with and for the price they are well worth it

Oh and i also forgot to mention that postage to Ireland only took an amazing 5 days which is excellent and shipping to Ireland costs $4. even better

So have you tried these yet?
Well Until next time

Garnier intensive 7 days sos repair Hand Cream Review

Hey my beauties how are you all doing today :) :)
Wow today is the 3rd day of Summer and its finally sunny and at least warm long may it last
I Have to thank you all for bearing with me waiting on me to get back making videos
I havent made one in 3 weeks and boy do i miss it.
Alot has been happening lately which has got in the way of making them but i will soon be back until then i really hope that my blog posts are keeping you busy :)
I have so so so so much videos to make so many hauls and I have my first official Vlog video planned which will be up early next week hehehehe so keep an eye out for that one i cant wait
So anyway enough with my little update on to my review :) :)
Well now if you are a follower for a while you will know that i suffer alot with dermatitis on my hands.  I explained alot about this in one of my videos but to make it short i only really suffer with it in the Winter, Summer or if i use cleaning products mainly bleach (i am a clean freak lol). When i suffer with it i SUFFER BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So bad my hands feel like sand paper and drives me crazy with catching on clothing or anything....Its sometimes gets that bad my knuckles and between my fingers split little sores which then bleeds its so painful.  Believe me i have tried alot of creams even E45 and it never works it actually drives my hands even more crazy.....Until i got a fantastic cream in one of my glossyboxes and its cost £16 - £20 to buy it was amazing but there is no way i was going to pay that all the time for a hand cream so i went on the hunt again and found this little beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Garnier intensive 7 days sos repair Hand Cream
Now when i seen this i thought hhhhmmmmmm would it work for me not only is this a drugstore brand but it only cost 2.28 euro which is extremely cheap.  Plus i never really tried anything from Garnier before.  So i obviously went ahead a got it mainly for the fact it cost so little plus its for Dry - Extra dry hands.
So the minute i got home i started using it as my hands was suffering.......
The cream is a pure white cream and quite thick in consistency so be careful not to squirt out too much as a little goes a long way
While rubbing this into my hand the first thought that came into my head is "oh god this is going to leave an oily residue on my hands" thats how thick and kind of oily it felt and i hate hand creams that leave behind oiliness, but alas it did exactly what it said on the tube Fast absorbing is not the word :) :) my hand felt instantly hydrated and i had a nice dewy look to them rather than a dry sand paper look which i love instantly........not only that my hands did not feel at all oily  :)
The scent is lovely from this cream not overpowering but smells like a mild moisturiser and i love that too.  Even though my hand looked as rough as a builders hand ( no offence to builders out there) but they certainly didnt feel like it which amazed me after one application.  I took the liberty of taking a picture before i started using this hand cream and here it is .........
This photo doesn't even show the full extent of how bad my hands were but it will give you an idea.  Now i am going to show you a picture of my hands a week and a half later which is today :)
Isnt that an amazing difference i find my hands more like womens hands now rather than man hands.  Every time i apply this cream it feels like there is a protective coating on them.  Plus even when i wash up after applying there is still a feel of protectiveness.
I apply this cream on my hand twice to three times a day depending on how much cleaning i do but normally only twice and my hands never felt better :) They are not 100% healed after a week and half but give it another week and my hands will be hands of a model lol :)
Does it do what it claims ??????? 100% i love this cream and Im quite happy to say its one of my favourite products i have bought in April so far !!!!!  I have even gone as far as buying the body lotion to try it out :) :) There will be a review up soon on that :) ;)

So have you tried this cream
What do you think of it :) :)
Until next time my beauties

Strawberry Roulade/Swiss Roll Recipe

Hey my beautifuls how are you all doing?
Now i know this is a long over due recipe i promised to post for you all
But i didnt have my detailed photos until just the other day my little boy turned 5 and i
asked him what type cake he wanted me to bake for him and he wanted this one but with icing on top :) Bless his little cotton socks and puppy dog eyes i just couldnt refuse :)
The thought of Strawberry swissroll with icing all over didnt seem too attractive in my eyes but my baby boy got what my baby boy wanted and to be honest it actually worked out to be a hit !!! I will post pictures of his Iced covered Strawberry Roulade/Swiss roll at the end :)
Anyways here i will give you the recipe of this lovely cake in the picture above.  Its actually quite easy and once you bake it the 1st time you will surely know how to without instructions.
Starting off with Ingredients :)
6 eggs seperated
115g Icing Sugar
65g Cake/Self Raising Flour
300g Strawberry Jam
250mls Heavy cream
30g Icing Sugar (for cream & Dusting)
Vegetable Oil
Flour for Dusting
12x15 inch baking tray
(you can go for low fat options of the cream and jam if you wish)
So now for the baking part :) :) :)
  • Ok start off by  preheat the oven to 356 F (180 C)
  • Then seperate your 6 eggs
  • Starting with the egg yolks whisk them a little and then slowly add the 115g Icing Sugar while whisking :) dont over whisk as they will get too thick :)
  •  Add in the flour and mix again (dont forget not to thick)
  • In a separate bowl whisk you egg whites until you get firm soft peaks
  • Now all you gotta do is add them to the egg yolk mixture but be careful dont mix them in.  Use a Spatula to fold them in and the mixture should look something like below

  • The lighter and fluffier the mix is the better sponge you will get
  • Line your baking pan with parchment paper, and (to stay on the safe side) spray it with some vegetable oil and flour it lightly
  • Pour the mix onto the tray and spread it out evenly :) Then place into your heated oven and bake until golden brown

  • While your lovely sponge is baking prepare the work surface to place your sponge. Get a clean towel and place it on your work surface

  •  Place a sheet of parchment paper on top of the towel

  •  Then sprinkle the parchment paper with a little Icing sugar to prevent the sponge from sticking to it.

  • Ding Ding Ding your sponge is ready!!!!!!!!!

  • Immediately upon removing the cake from the oven, invert it onto the towel and the paper you have prepared.  So now you have the dish towel and the paper underneath the cake and there’s also a piece of paper on top of the cake the one it was on first.
  • My Sponge came out alot thicker than a normal Swiss roll but if you want it thinner simply use a bigger baking tray
  • While the cake is still hot remove the parchment paper on top and roll the rest together towel included if you try to roll it when its cool down it will break
  • Leave it to cool completely which will take less than 2 hours not even
  • Then when cool roll it out and spread your favourite strawberry jam (you dont have to use strawberry BTW you can use any of your favourite jams if you want)
  • Then whip up that lovely cream in which you can sweeten with the 35g Icing sugar as listed in the ingredients or you can leave that out and have plan cream i have a seet tooth so i like the icing sugar in it
  • Then spread the cream over the jam
  • Then roll you swiss roll up again
  • Now as i stated above this is a much thicker swiss roll than normal but if you wanted a skinnier one simple use a bigger baking tray my kiddies love it this way in fact so do i :)  :)
  • You will notice you will have cream left over and i will post a picture on what i done with my left overs below
  • After rolling up your cake simply dust it with Icing sugar and if you want to get even more creative you could drizzle it with chocolate in a zig zag design :) :)
  • As instructed by my beloved son he wanted icing so here is his little birthday cake
  • I just made up a little icing with a drop of blue food colouring and drop of strawberry flavouring into it :)
  • With the left over cream I just topped Madeira buns with it and sprinkled them with Chocolate  :) :)

I really hope you enjoyed this post :)
Let me know if you have tried it :)
Until next time
Lots of love luck and laughter
